We are in San Diego, CA. Excalibur, Nigel McGuinness and Tony Schiavone are on commentary.

We see clips from after Forbidden Door. Rene talks to Will Ospreay and Alex Windsor. Will says there's more room to breathe. Jon Moxley wants to talk. He throws Will ice. Will says he's doing good and thanks Mox for being out there. Will says Mox was dying to see "it" and he wants to know what he means. Mox says if he could explain it in words, he'd do it for everybody. He says Will needs to live it if he wants to be the real thing. He says AEW could be something great and says the business is full of backstabber. Mox says it's up to them to protect and preserve this craft. Mox says they took a vote on it. He has a Death Riders patch and says Will can ride with them anywhere he wants to go if we hears it. Mox says he's proud of him. 

Kenny Omega talks to Will. He says what he did was fantastic and he's proud of him. Will says just because Kenny gave up on himself, doesn't mean he did. MJF walks in and says he doesn't want to interrupt the lovers quarrel. Kenny says Mark Briscoe is coming to knock on his door in a few days. MJF says he'll see Will at Wembley. Kenny tells him he's beat up, emotion and needs some rest. Kenny says he will always be his friend and he'll always care. 

AEW World Title - MJF (c) vs Mark Briscoe

MJF boots him and side headlocks him. Mark spinebusters him then stomps him in the corner. Mark hits punches. MJF goes up and over and then piledrivers him for 2. MJF bites Mark's head after tearing off his bandage. MJF back body drops Mark. 

Mark is busted open and MJF back body drops him again. Mark flips out of a back body drop. Mark hits punches to the body and crane kicks him. Mark corner lariats him and overhead belly to belly suplexes him. 

Mark corner lariats him and rolling death valley drivers him. Mark low lariats him. Mark is crotched up top. Mark headbutts him off the buckles and top rope elbow drops him for 2. Mark tope con hilos MJF through the ropes. Mark jumps off a chair and tope con hilos MJF outside. 

MJF is sent into the steps. A table is set up outside. Mark is up top and MJF throws him down onto the apron. MJF puts the table away. We go to PiP break and return. MJF spit in Mark's face. Mark hits punches. Mark lariats him over the top. Mark pulls up the floor mat. MJF back body drops Mark on the exposed floor. Mark slams him on it.

Mark elbow drops him from the apron to the floor. Mark hits a cut throat burning hammer for 2. Mark headbutts him off the apron. Mark rolls MJF on the floor. Mark brings the table back out. Mark is tripped into a chair seat. MJF tries to running facekick him but is hit in the throat. Mark walks on the rail top and blockbusters him on the floor. Mark top rope elbow drops MJF through a table outside.

They get in the ring again. MJF hits some strikes. Mark back enzugiri's him and lariats him. Mark top rope rope elbow drops him. Mark jay drillers him for 2. MJF eye rakes Mark on the buckles. MJF blocks a slingshot sunset flip. MJF alabama slams him. MJF heatseeker piledrivers him over the 2nd rope and pins him.

Thoughts: I didn't like it. They did way too much here with apron and exposed floor bumps. MJF took a bump through a table, a burning hammer and a jay driller. They didn't need to do all that. MJF won as expected here. 

MJF punches him with the Dynamite Diamond Ring after. Officials try to stop him from attacking Mark more then Kenny Omega comes out. MJF runs.

Kenny says he told MJF he would be here and would be knocking down his door if he won. Kenny says maybe Max has enough energy to face him tonight after using chairs and tables. MJF says it's bad enough he had to come here and wrestle and says no to Kenny's challenge. MJF says he beat Kenny twice and kicked out of the OWA.  He says he's not a god but a fraud. He says he will wrestle him next week, but if he wins, Kenny can't become AEW World champ again.

Renee interviews MJF after the break. He says payback is coming for Kenny. MJF talks about people he beat. MJF says he is the best wrestler in the world. He says Kenny will never agree to his terms as he's gutless. 

Will Ospreay comes in and says MJF will break his neck sucking himself off. Will asks MJF why he wants a stipulation. MJF says it's because he's the champ and Will isn't. He says he will see him in Wembley whether the fans like it or not.

Tony Schiavone interviews Andrade El Idolo on the stage. Idolo says he's done with the Don Callis family and wants to become champ. he then asks, "How you know?". The Don Callis Family then jumps him and beats him up in the ring. Cage hits a drillclaw on Idolo. Don then says, "How you know?". He says to get the garbage turncoat out of his site as Kevin Knight has a match to win. They then throw Idolo out.

Mercedes Mone does a promo near the water. She says she won the Owen Hart Cup twice and no one is on her level. She says she's the conversation everywhere she goes. She says everyone who faced her learned that dreams don't win titles, she does. She says she will get the last piece of what's hers at Wembley.

AEW TNT Title - Kevin Knight (c) vs Lio Rush

Lio puts a bag in the ring. KK opens it and finds a title belt with no plates on it. Lio rolls him up for 2. KK falls on his knee and Lio bites the knee. Lio hits a slap and forearm combo on KK. 

Lio chops KK. Jake pulls KK out. Lio topes KK. Lio grabs Don and Don falls over in fear. We go to PiP break and return. 

KK backbreakers Lio for 2. Lio drops him with a shot. Lio spin kicks him in the head. Lio does bridging cravate on him. Lio plancha's Jake outside, Jake catches him and Lio sends Jake into the post. KK jumps off the apron and forearms Lio. KK springboard diving lariats him.

Lio rolls him into a pin attempt for 2. KK sky high's him. KK uranage's him and pins him.

Thoughts: The ending was a bit weird here. KK kept selling his leg but Lio didn't work it that much. It wasn't anything special. I didn't like Lio losing, especially since he is ROH TV champ, but they love to have ROH champs lose on AEW TV.

Darby Allin comes out. He says he's got Kevin Knight's attention and wants a TNT Title match. He says if he says no, what happened at Forbidden Door will keep happening. He says KK started this and he asks how he will finish it. KK goes to agree to the title match and Don Callis takes the mic away. Don says Darby crossed the line from wrestler to criminal and he doesn't reward criminal behavior. He says Darby will never get a match with KK as long as he has something to say about it. Darby says KK dug his grave. Don says Darby should be in a jail cell and says no match for him.  

Tomasso Ciampa is interviewed. He says Jericho is a bully. Jericho throws a garbage can at Ciampa's head and throws him into chairs. They fight outside. A shopping cart is sent into Jericho. Ciampa grabs a powerdrill and tries to put it in Jericho's head. Jericho's head is banged off a truck. Security breaks it up. 

Renee talks to The Elite in the back. The Bucks don't want Kenny to accept MJF's stip. Kenny says he hasn't made the decision yet and says if he can't challenge for the title again, what's for him. Kenny says if he does this, he wants to do it on his own. He says it's win or lose.

The Death Riders (Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay) vs The Swirl (Lee Johnson and Black Christian)

Mox is clipped from behind and has his leg ddt'd into the mat. Mox is held for punches in the corner then Lee boots him there. Lee chops Mox. Mox hits mounted corner punches on Blake. Lee monkey flips Blake into a lariat on Mox.

Will pop up drops Blake then flying headscissors him. Will slingshot plancha's the heels outside. Will slams and knee drops Blake. We go to PiP break and return. Lee armlocks Mox. Lee facekicks Mox in the corner. Mox takes a double stomp + rolling death valley driver for 2. Mox is chopped in the corner. Mox fights his way out. Jay Lethal trips Mox. Marina Shafir then grabs Jay and exploders him. Lee superkics Mox and Mox lariats him. 

Will comes in and clean house on the heels. He back body drops Blake. Will handspring double pele kicks the heels. Will standing corkscrew moonsaults Lee for 2. Lee takes running corner attacks. Blake springboards and is caught with a cutter from Will. Mox paradigm shfits Lee and Will hidden blades Lee. Will pins Lee.

Thoughts: It was fine. Mox's team won as expected. The finishing spot was cool here with Mox hitting a ddt and Will hitting a hidden blade off of it. The Shafir spot was entertaining.

Adam Copeland and Christian Cage are interviewed. Cage asks what the deal with Jay White is. Cope says Jay owed him a favor and they are even. Cage says he had a serious problem with Jay before he got injured and still does. Cage then walks off.

The Bang Bang Gang come out. Jay says he's been waiting to do the Guns Up line. Jay says everyone was wanting to escape The Death Riders and now they don't. He says The Riders are now with the biggest fraud in the industry in Will Ospreay. Jay says they are back just in time as someone let their guard down.

Jay asks who let The Dogs out? He says he and David Finlay go way back and joined NJPW in 2015. He says he never came across such a gifted and talented wrestler like Finlay. He says Finlay is a nepo baby b!tch boy. Jay says they are in AEW now. Jay says who better to clear the air of his stench than him. He says Sunday was the beginning with Finlay. He says it's still the Switchblade era. He says Guns Up.

Shane Taylor Promotions does a promo. He says they run things here now and challenge The Bang Bang Gang for Collision to a 8-man tag.

AEW TBS Title - Survival of the Fittest Match - Maika vs Kris Statlander vs Harley Cameron vs Persephone vs Queen Aminata vs Hikaru Shida

All 6 fight. Harley high kicks Shida and takes a flying knee. Queen headbutts Kriss over. Maika backdrops Queen and is dropkicked by Pers. Shida slaps and cradles Pers for 2. Kris is sent over the top. Halrey high kicks Maika and running leg lariats her. 

Harley and Pers hit moves on Queen and Shida. Harley hits mounted corner punches on Queen. Pers then hits a razor's edge on Harley and pins her. Harley Cameron is eliminated.

We go to break and return after Kris shoves Pers. Pers takes a double shoulderblock from Kris and Maika. Kris and Maika trade forearms. Shida hits Kris with a cane in the back. Maika suplexes Shida. Shida suplexes Maika. Shida flying knees Maika. Maika spinning lariats Shida.

Shida rolls Maika into an ankle lock. Kris is pulled off the apron hard by Pers with Shida's kendo stick. Shida rolls up Maika and pins her. Maika is eliminated.

Queen and Shida trade forearms. Queen rolls up Shida for 2. Queen and Shida fight on the buckles. Queen double chops her down. Shida flying knees Queen in the ring. Queen headbutts her. Queen running knees Shida. Pers rolls up Queen and pins her. Queen Aminata is eliminated.

We go to PiP break and return. Kris blue thunders Pers for 2. Pers germans Kris for 2. Kris and Pers lariat each other down and Shida goes for pins on both. Kris hits both opponents. Kris is double booted. Kris 2nd rope double back elbows her opponents. Kris hits a michinoku driver on Pers for 2. Pers and Kris trade pins and Kris pins her. Persephone is eliminated.

Shida forearms Kris and Kris overhead kicks her. Shida falcon arrows Kris for 2. Kris facekicks Shida and they trade pin attempts. Shida ankle locks her. Persephone hits Kris with the TBS Title. Shida straightjackets Kris and pulls on her leg. Kris is out and Shida wins.

Thoughts: It was alright but nothing too special. They didn't have enough time to make this into anything epic and there weren't a ton of big spots or anything. Kris seemed like the most likely winner here.

Will Ospreay talks to Kenny Omega in the back. He says he wants him to win the title and asks if this is a good idea. Kenny asks if he doesn't think he can do it. Will says he doesn't think Kenny believes in himself. Kenny says if he's going out, he's going out guns-a-blazing.

Kenny Omega comes out to talk. He says he has done this half his life and gets no greater pleasure. He says you still get the same Kenny every time. He says part of him thinks there's still something left in the tank. He says if Will, The Bucks and the people can believe one more time, he can be champ again. 

He says if he fails, he will become another man who can't challenge for the belt again. He says the cost is not too high. He says he's still the cleaner. He says he will accept MJF's offer and tells him to get ready to pass over what has been his. 

Kenny does his line then MJF nails him from behind. Kenny takes him down and pounds on him. Security comes to break it up. 

Thoughts: It was one of Kenny's better promos here. He kept it serious and on point.

Overall thoughts: They got a PPV at the end of the month but didn't really build to it much here. All In is already the focus over that and I'm interested to see how they handle things. This show was a bit light on the wrestling with only 4 matches, which is surprising for AEW. The matches weren't anything great, but the show made enough sense. I'd give this a 5 out of 10 as it was average.
