Taisei Nakahara & Toru Yano vs. United Empire (HENARE & Jakob Austin Young)

Tai backs up Jake on the ropes and chops him. Jake eye rakes him. Tai side headlocks him then shoulders him over. Tai hits corner forearms. Jake corner chops him. Jake spits on him then does facewash kicks on him. 

Tai dropkicks him. Hen and and Yano get in. Hen hits shots, shoulderblocks him and sentons him for 2. Hen grabs him by the throat. Yano tries to pull the hair, but he doesn't have any on the top of his head. Yano then pulls him down by the hair on the back of his head. 

Tai and Jake get in. Tai chops Jake. Tai running back elbows him then slams him. Tai misses a dropkick and takes a low shining wizard. Jake pulls him up on the pin attempt. Jake twisting suplexes him and pins him.

Thoughts: It was short and nothing of note. Jake's team won pretty easy. Tai did nothing but chops and a dropkick here and Yano just pulled hair.

Masatora Yasuda & Yuya Uemura vs. Aaron Wolf & Tatsuya Matsumoto

Wolf and Yuya go at it. They trade waistlocks. Yuya rolls out then wristlocks him. Yuya yanks on the arm. Wolf blocks an armdrag and shoulder throws him. Yuya takes corner attacks. Yuya dropkicks Wolf out. 

Tat and Masa get in. Masa shoulders him over and hits forearms in the corner. Tat forearms and chops him back. Masa chops him then suplexes him for 2. Tat dropkicks him. Wolf comes in and slams Masa. Wolf elbow drops him for 2. Wolf throws Yuya by the arm. 

Masa hits forearms on Wolf and rolls him up for 2. Masa slaps Wolf then Wolf sitout AA's him. Wolf crabs him and submits him.

Thoughts: It was another shorter one. Wolf was booked to go a little even with Masa here which was kind of nice. It just didn't get enough time and Wolf was in this for the majority of it. 

Unbound Co. (Gedo & OSKAR) vs. Unbound Co. (Daiki Nagai & Drilla Moloney)

DM and Os go face to face. Gedo and Nagai lock up. Nagai clean breaks him and is slapped. Gedo side headlocks him then Nagai reverses it. Gedo shoulders him over and poses. Nagai shoulders him over. Nagai hits forearms in the corner and corner dropkicks him. 

Nagai misses a top rope splash. DM and Os tag in. DM hits chops and forearms on Os. DM blocks a facekicks and enzugiri's him. DM misses a top rope move. DM sunset flips him for 2 then dropkicks him. Os running facekicks him over. 

Nagai dropkicks him twice then Os shoulders him over. Os misses a legdrop and Nagai low dropkicks him for 2. Os blocks Nagai's flying headscissors and Nagai sunset flips him for 2. Nagai dropkicks him. Os spinning sleepers Nagai and Nagai submits him.

Thoughts: It was short and nothing too special. Os was pushed as the big man and Nagai had no real shot against him. Either Nagai or Gedo were losing here and it was Nagai's chance today. 

House Of Torture (Dick Togo & Ren Narita) vs. TMDK (Hartley Jackson & Zack Sabre Jr.)

Hart backs up Togo in the corner. Togo offers a handshake and boots him. Togo hits running shoulderblocks then eye pokes him. Hart shoulders Togo out. Ren and Zack get in. Zack wristlocks him, Ren trips him to escape and hooks the leg. Zack wristlocks him, Ren reverses it and Zack rolls out.

Zack rolling armbars Ren then Ren leglocks him. Zack armbars him and does a grounded choke. Ren chinlocks him. Ren facekicks him and Zack pele kicks the arm. Zack PK's him. 

Togo and Hart get in. Togo dropkicks him and clips him. Hart misses a senton and Togo sentons him. Togo gets pushed into the ref and headbutts Hart in the crotch. Togo chokes him with a weapon and Hart crossbodies him. Hart suplexes him for 2. Hart death valley drivers Togo and pins him.

Thoughts: It was a shorter bout. The heels did manage to get a ref bump and some weapons in before going home. It wasn't much of note and went about as I expected it to.

G1 Climax 2026 Block A Match - Jake Lee vs. Oleg Boltin

They shoulder battle. Jake shoulders him over and splashes him for 2. Oleg is pulled over the top. They fight outside. Jake is sent into the rails. Oleg is dropped throat first on the rails and Jake boots him. Oleg is sent shoulder first into the post. 

Jake back elbows him down. Jake hammerlocks him and pulls back on the arm. Jake boots Oleg in the arm. Oleg forearms him. Jake snapmares him and kicks him in the arm. Jake knees him in the gut. Oleg belly to belly suplexes him. 

Oleg corner splashes him then hits karelin's lift. Oleg vader bombs him for 2. Jake kimura's him. Jake pulls back on his arm with an armlock. Jake chest kicks Oleg and PK's him. Oleg no sells it and they trade forearms. Jake pumping knees the arm nd knees him in the gut. Oleg lariats him on the ropes. Jake high kicks him and is lariated down.

Jake hurricanrana's him. Jake misses a corner facekick and Oleg powerbombs him twice for 2. Oleg finlay rolls him and pins him.

Thoughts: It wasn't bad. Jake worked the arm, Oleg made his comeback and won. It was definitely one of Jake's better matches of the year and he didn't fool around too much here.

G1 Climax 2026 Block A Match - SANADA vs. Ryohei Oiwa

Oiwa backs him up on the ropes on the lock up. San then clean breaks him. Oiwa side headlocks him. Oiwa shoulders him over and side headlocks him again. Oiwa side headlock takeovers him and San dropkicks him in the knee. San butt drops Oiwa's leg. 

San kneebreakers Oiwa and dropkicks him in the knee. San twists the ankle. San dropkicks him. San misses a slingshot plancha outside. Oiwa side headlocks him and ddt's him on the floor. Oiwa side headlocks him and San drops him knee first on the rail.

San dragon screws him around the 2nd rope. Oiwa side headlocks him again. San kneebreakers him on his knee then does a reverse dragon screw. San shining wizards him. Oiwa sleepers him. Oiwa crossfaces him. Oiwa cravates him. San flips out and boots him out of the corner. San shining wizards him from behind.

San hurricanrana's him. Oiwa blocks a backroll and side headlocks him again. San backdrops him but Oiwa keeps the hold on. San then taps out to a side headlock.

Thoughts: This was a dumb match. Oiwa did almost nothing but headlocks and Oiwa eventually tapped him out with one. Yes, people are tapping out to headlocks in 2026. Absolutely ridiculous. This was the definition of taking a night off.

G1 Climax 2026 Block A Match - Konosuke Takeshita vs. Great-O-Khan

Khan makes his entrance. He drags KT to the ring from the back for his entrance and has a chair. KT is put in the ring and he's out. The ref then starts the match with KT down. Khan pump kicks him after the bell rings. 

Khan throws KT out and KT is sent into the rails. Khan suplexes him on the floor. Khan bangs KT's head off the apron then slams him on the rail top. KT is then thrown into the seats. Khan sits on a chair on KT.

A turnbuckle pad is taken off. KT back elbows Khan in the ring. KT is swept off the top into the exposed buckle. KT is then thrown shoulder first into the post. Khan chairs KT's arm against the post.  

Khan talks trash then trips KT when he goes for a forearm. Khan pump kicks him in the arm for 2. KT hurricanrana's him. KT tope con hilos him. KT goes for a pumping knee and Khan puts the ref in the way. Khan pump kicks KT in the arm then sends him shoulder first into the exposed buckle.

Khan bangs KT's arm off his shoulder. KT sleepers him and Khan armdrags him. KT rebound germans Khan. KT running lariats him. KT drops him with a forearm. The ref gets knocked over on accident and Khan low blows KT. 

Khan has a chair thrown in his face. KT blue thunders him but the ref is down. Khan TTD's him on a chair for 2. KT flying knees him. KT wheelbarrow germans him. KT is sent into the exposed buckles. They claw each other at the same time. Khan's claw wins out. KT rolls him up for 2. KT blocks a low blow. KT pumping knees him in the face then falcon arrows him for the pin. KT wins.

Thoughts: It got bogged down by shenanigan here with ref bumps, matches starting while one wrestler is down and open weapons usage in front of the ref. They had an easy story with KT having an injured arm and they focused on the shenanigans instead. This would have been fine without all the nonsense. 

G1 Climax 2026 Block A Match - Hirooki Goto vs. Shingo Takagi

They lock up and clean break. Shingo throws him down and hits elbow drops. Goto ropebreaks on a chinlock. Shingo corner lariats him. Shingo hits chops and punches. Goto russian legsweeps him into the buckles. 

Shingo throws a chair in. Goto stomps Shingo then back elbows him for 2. Goto chinlocks him. Goto boots him and hits forearms. Goto spinning heel kicks him and backdrops him for 2. Goto forearms him. Goto boots him. Shingo lariats him from behind, punches him and lariats him down. 

Shingo twisting suplexes him. Shingo lariats him over the top. Goto is sent into the rails and Shingo suplexes him on the floor. Shingo suplexes him and sliding lariats him for 2. Shingo hits back elbows and Goto running lariats him down. 

Goto ushigoroshi's him. They trade forearms. They lariat battle. Shingo puts him on the 2nd rope and GTR's him. Shingo running lariats him for 2. Shingo wrist clutch twisting samoan drops him for 2. Shingo hits some forearms. He drops him with a punch. Goto hits a shouten kai.

Goto chest kicks him down and GTW's him for 2. Goto suplexes him. Goto hits headbutts and chops. Shingo rolls him up for 2. Shingo running lariats him for 2. Shingo hits a last of the dragon and pins him.

Thoughts: It was an okay bout here. I thought it ended a little early when it was close to really getting good. It was what you would want with a lot of lariats and forearms. They stiff each other good and kept it believable. It's just too bad we didn't get more of it. 

G1 Climax 2026 Block A Match - Yota Tsuji vs. Yuto-Ice

Yota knees him in the gut. Yota chops him and Ice laughs at him. Yota hits more chops. Yota chops him up more. Ice forearms him and running facekicks him. Yota sends Ice into the seats and chops him there.

They go into the crowd again after breaking the count. Yota chops him while he is seated. Yota chops him in the crowd more and more. Ice then lets Yota chop him on the ramp. Yota chops Ice on the apron. 

Ice hits a forearm in the ring and Yota chops him more. Ice kicks him in the gut and throws him down backwards. Ice hits chest kicks and knees to the gut. Ice running knees him in the corner. Yota hits more chops.

Ice is sat up top and chopped. Ice headbutts him down. Ice enzugiri's him out of the corner. Ice knees him in the gut and Yota headbutts him. Ice lariats him down. Ice hits forearms while Yota is seated. Yota hits chops. Ice chest kicks him and Yota hits more chops.

Ice hits another chest kick and takes more chops. Ice high kicks him down. Yota hits chops. Ice kicks him in the arm and running facekicks him. Ice PK's him for 2. Ice grabs him by the hair and slaps him. Yota hits flying pumping knees him in the corner and Yota lariats him. 

Yota hits chops. Yota curbstomps him. They butt heads and trade forearms for chops. Ice hits some slaps and buzzsaw kicks him. Ice punches him. Yota spears him for 2. Yota running spears him for 1. Yota then runs into a knee to the face. Ice single leg basement dropkicks him for 2. Ice high kicks him and Yota hits his running and spinning backdrop. Both are down, Yota makes it up before the 10 count and Ice doesn't. Yota wins by knockout.

Thoughts: It went over 25 minutes. It was mostly all Yota chopping Ice and Ice just taking it. Why? I don't know, but it got old. Ice later fought back and that part wasn't bad, but it took way too long to get there and it wasn't that good. I didn't like this one. 

Yota talks on the mic after while Ice is down. There's no translations though. 

Yota helps Ice up after and walks to the back with him. 

Overall thoughts: The undercard was a joke as usual with absolutely nothing of value. Jake Lee/Oleg wasn't bad. Oiwa did little but headlocks in his match with Sanada and eventually won with one. Takeshita/Khan could have been good but they focused on shenanigans instead of the story and that hurt it. What we got of Goto/Takagi was okay but it needed more time. The main was dumb with Ice letting Yota chop him to death for 15 minutes or so without any real fighting back. That got old quick. Most of the wrestlers basically took a night off here and it was a very lazy night at the G1. I didn't like this show at all and would give it a 3 out of 10 total. When Jake Lee is in the second best match of the night, your show has problems. This was bad.
