AEW Dynamite 6/24/2026

We are in Rio Rancho, NM. Excalibur, Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness are on commentary.

Mox gives The Death Riders a pep talk in the back. He tells his crew not to stop moving forward and to have his teammates back. Will is invited into the huddle then falls over. 

Mistico, Bandido and Brody King vs The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta)

Yuta locks up Band's arm. Yuta arm drags him into a half-crab. Band hits armdrags. Band points his finger at him and flying headscissors him. Mox gets in and hits shots on Band in the corner. CC stomps Band. CC pops him up and is hurricanrana'd. Mist springboard back elbows CC.

Mist's springboard is caught and CC tilt-a-whirl backbreakers him. Mist armdrags him then satellite headscissors him. BK comes in and trades with CC. BK walks up the ropes, does a seated moonsault while holding onto the heels and armdrags both. The faces hit topes outside. 

We go to PiP break and return. Band takes running corner attacks. Yuta brainbusters Band for 2. Band hits chops on Mox then dropkicks him. Mist springboard diving headscissors CC then flying headscissors Yuta. Mist toyota rolls CC. 

BK misses a corner splash. Mox gets on BK's back with a sleeper. BK stomps Mox in the corner then corner cannonballs him. Band dead lift suplexes CC. Yuta flying knees Band. BK lariats Mox down. CC hits BK with a belt from behind and Mox pins BK.

Thoughts: It didn't go quite as long as I expected. It was fine. BK's seated moonsault double armdrag was neat and it had a lot of quick action before The Death Riders won as expected. CC was brave for taking that brainbuster from Band as he barely got him up.

The Conglomeration and Darby are interviewed. Darby says he's not ready for the cage match this weekend but they don't have a choice. Darby says the goal is to make sure he wins. Strong says he hates MJF most. OC says he will make sure they all have backpacks for the match. The faces ask where Mark Briscoe is and Kyle says Mark will talk in the ring later tonight.

Survival of the Fittest Qualifier - Harley Cameron vs Marina Shafir

MS kicks HC on the apron before the match. MS chest kicks her down. MS hip throws HC and HC half crabs her. HC dropkicks MS through the ropes. HC crossbodies MS off the steps. HC goes up top and is kicked. MS wasteland's her.

We go to PiP break and return. MS hip throws her then shoulder throws her. MS hip throws her again. MS hits chest kicks and HC backdrops her. HC corner splashes MS and hits mounted corner punches.

HC flying lariats her. MS facekicks her and MS hits knees to the gut. HC half crabs her. MS goes for a choke, HC backrolls to escape and pins her.

Thoughts: I liked it. HC was a decent underhook and MS threw her around like she should have. HC then basically won by luck. This was done pretty well and was one of HC's better bouts.

We get a video on Maya vs Mone. Mone says she's not her teacher but her boss. She says it's her dream match but not her Cinderella story. Mone says dreams don't win championships, she does. 

Will Ospreay vs El Phantasmo

Will escapes a cravate. Will gets a 2 count and armdrags him. Will then ducks a superkick. ELP shoulders Will over. ELP walks up the buckles, does rope tricks, diving headscissors Will and Will headflips out. Will dropkicks him out. Will slingshot plancha's him outside.

ELP back body drops him on the apron. ELP top rope moonsaults him outside. We go to break and return. ELP throws Will down, Will kips up and enzugiri's him. Will hits punches then handspring corkscrew kicks him for 2. ELP 2nd rope diving tornado ddt's Will and Will stunners him. ELP then hits his own stunner. They trade forearms and ELP goes down. 

ELP slap flurries him and takes Kawada kicks. ELP superkicks him in the gut then enzugiri's him. Will standing spanish flies him for 2. ELP superkicks Will for 2. Will hits a styles clash then hidden blade's him for the win.

Thoughts: ELP did a lot more here than usual and worked faster than usual. The one stunner ELP hit here was cool. These are two guys who work a similar style. They didn't go too far with it and I thought it worked out okay here. I'm sure ELP was trying to get a job off of this. 

Swerve Strickland vs Daniel Garcia

Swerve comes out before Will has gotten to the back. DG throws a chair during his entrance.

DG gets in SS' face. SS blocks a takedown attempt. SS shoulders DG  over. They pieface and slap each other. SS hits downward shots on him. SS hits him in the gut and punches him in the face. SS backrakes him. SS running facekicks him. 

DG pulls SS off the apron and pounds on him while he's stuck in the ring skirt. DG dragon screws him there. DG backrakes him. DG hits forearms on him outside. DG dropkicks him against the rails. SS house call kicks him outside. 

We go to break and return. DG dragon screws him over the middle rope. SS death valley drivers him on the apron. SS suplexes him for 2. SS drops him with forearms. DG running lariats him and falls down doing it. DG dropkicks him in the knee then running lariats him. 

DG ankle locks him then clips him. SS backbreakers him then does a powerbomb lift into a powerslam for 2. DG hits a styles clash for 2. SS rolls into a flatliner on DG. SS hits a house call kick for 2. SS hits a hidden blade on him and pins him.

Thoughts: It start out well but lost some of its luster after the break. DG worked the leg a little and got put down here as expected. SS and DG both did some of Will Osperay's moves here. It was acceptable.

SS beats up DG after and Will comes out shoves him. Will and SS fight. Will hook kicks him. Prince Nana trips Will and SS hits a house call kick on Will. DG then saves Will. SS vertebreakers DG. Will grabs a chair and SS runs.

We get a Mark Briscoe vs MJF video. 

The Don Callis Family and MJF do a promo. Don puts over Doyle. Kevin Knight tells Darby that he will send him back to the ER. Kevin tells MJF he wants his title shot after Forbidden Door. Kyle says he's coming for Takeshita when the cage door is locked. Don goes to introduce Andrade but MJF interrupts. MJF says he has never worked or gone to bed hungry. He says white collars always win and Mark is a blue collar b!tch. 

MJF makes Rocky and Trent leave and complains about Andrade. Don then pulls out an MJF + Don Callis shirt for everyone to wear and none of the guys are thrilled.

Jack Perry vs Zack Sabre Jr.

Zack cravates Jack and wristlocks him. Zack rolls him into a pin attempt for 2. Zack pulls Jack's arms back. Jack rolls him up for 2 counts and side headlocks him. Jack rolls him into a pin attempt for 2. 

Jack's arm is stomped into the mat. Zack is sent into the post and Jack wraparound kicks him around the post. Zack pulls Jack's arm down over the top and stomps him in the shoulder. We go to PiP break and return. 

Zack works the arm and pele kicks it. Jack forearms him and shiranui's him. Zack armbars Jack on the floor. Jack shiranui's him on the apron. Jack top rope moonsaults him outside. Zack headscissors him with an armbar. Zack triangles him and Jack sitout powerbombs him for 2. 

They trade pin attempts. Jack does an STF then rebound lariats him. Jack sitout powerbombs him for 2. Zack ties up Jack's arms and and a leg and submits him.

Thoughts: It was alright with Zack doing arm work on Jack and eventually winning with a submission affecting the arms on him. Zack won as expected as he's facing Omega the Forbidden Door. This got more time than I expected.

The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) vs TMDK (Mikey Nicholls and Bad Dude Tito)

TMDK was already out, so they got no entrance here.

TMDK hit shots on The Bucks to start. The Bucks hit stereo dropkicks then hit stereo corner lariats. The Bucks hit stereo bulldogs. TMDK is sent out then The Bucks hit stereo plancha's outside.

The Bucks hit stereo flying back elbows inside. Tito is slammed. Tito catches a Buck off the top and fallaway slams him. The other Buck takes corner attacks and a spinebuster for 2. A Buck is flapjacked for 2.

Mikey is hit with a ddt. The other Buck top rope crossbodies his opponents. A Buck flips out of a double hiptoss and sends TMDK into each other. He then hits a walk up the buckles diving headscissors + armdrag. Mikey takes superkicks from The Bucks. Tito and Mikey are double superkicked. Mikey takes a meltzer driver and is pinned.

Thoughts: TMDK got little in here. It was rushed and The Bucks tried to get as many spots in as they could. This was basically a Bucks squash.

Tito and Zack attack The Bucks after. Kenny Omega and Jack Perry come down. Kenny and Zack trade shots. Kenny snap dragon suplexes Zack

Kenny gets on the mic after. He tells Zack he took this as a warm up. He says may the best man win Sunday. He says when he does, he's out for redemption. Kenny tells him everyone will forget about him ike they did last year. Zack tells him to stay hospitable.

We get a Thekla vs Starlight Kid video.

Survival of the Fittest Qualifier - Red Velvet vs Queen Aminata

They lock up. Queen takes her down and Red sunset flips her. Red rolls her up for 2. Red diving armdrags her off the 2nd rope. Queen germans her. Queen PK's her for 2.  

Queen suplexes her for 1. Red dodges a headbutt. Red then rolls her up for 2. Red axe scissors kicks her for 2. We go to PiP break and return. Red casadora bulldogs her for 2. 

Queen boots her out of the corner. Queen does a dangerous looking reverse suplex. Queen hits lariats on Red and swinging facebusters her. Queen running facekicks her in the corner. Queen double stomps her off the buckles for 2. 

Red bodyscissors rolls her down from the 2nd rope. Red top rope frogsplashes Quene's back for 2. They forearm each other. Red superkicks her. Queen headbutts Red down. Queen running knees Red against the ropes and pins her.

Thoughts: It got off to a poor start as they rushed and were sloppy. It got a little better as it went on. Obviously this was a qualifier, but it was a very random one with two people who rarely ever make this show. This was below average.

The Young Bucks are interviewed in the back. They say the momentum is on their side and they are going back to the top of the tag division. We then see Cope and Cage beating up The Dogs in the back. DF is rolled in a wheelchair into the wall. Clark grabs a girl and DF sprays hairspray in Cope and Cage's eyes. Cope is sent into the wall. Cope and Cage are choked with wires. Clark says anything they can do, The Dogs can do better. DG then puts on Cope's old sunglasses and they pose.

AEW International Title- Konosuke Takeshita (c) vs Ricochet

Ric throws his jacket at him, flying knees him and fosbury flops him outside. Ric springboard dropkicks him inside. Ric hits a flying space tiger drop outside then springboard 450's him for 2. KT flying lariats him in the ring. KT is tripped into the ropes, Ric 619's him and springboard elbows him. Ric running ssp's him for 2. 

We go to PiP break and return. Ric hits leg kicks and chops. KT misses a corner flying knee and goes out. Ric tries to ssp him off the apron but is explodered on the floor. Ric corkscrew kicks him. KT blue thunders him for 2. 

KT hits forearms. Ric spin kicks him in the gut and kicks him. KT forearms him and Ric spin kicks him in the face. KT rolls him up for 2. KT hits a cradle tombstone then a wheelbarrow german. Ric 2nd rope moonsaults and hits vertigo off of it for 2. Ric pumping knees him. Ric top rope ssp's him for 2.

Ric flips out of a top rope release german. KT forearms him down. KT hits a last ride for 2. Ric pushes the ref in the way, headbutts him and high kicks him. Ric asai moonsaults him for 2. KT lariats him then pumping knees him. KT hits raging fire and wins.

Thoughts: It was a rushed match with them not selling anything and doing tons of cool moves. It was as indy as it really gets. It was full of action but not much else. 

Mark Briscoe comes out to talk about Sunday. He says his crew has a reputation and says they beat The Death Riders before. Mark says hits match matters more as he will get a world title shot if he wins. He says he agrees with MJF that they are not alike. He says MJF is a soft baby boy and he's a grown man. 

Mark says if he wants something, he will earn it. Mark says he beat his @s before and will do it again. Don Callis comes out. Mark says when he wins the title...then MJF jumps him. Mark fights back. Kyle Fletcher comes out and suplexes Mark. He then brainbusters him. Takeshita goes after Kyle then falcon arrows him. Okada then comes out and rainmakers Takeshita. Kyle O'Reilly, Kevin Knight then Darby comes out. Jake Doyle comes out and black hole slams Darby.

Strong comes out then OC comes out. Mark grabs MJF and Andrade lariats Mark. MJF and Andrade shove each other. MJF nails Andrade with his Dynamite Diamond Ring on accident. Mark jay drillers MJF. The heels go out. 

Overall thoughts: It was a bit of a rushed show. They just had too many matches set up and really had to hustle to squeeze them in. I liked the opener and Harley/Shafir. Will/ELP was fine. Garcia/Swerve had a good start but just was acceptable in the end. Zack/Jack wasn't bad. The Bucks basically won a squash. Red/Queen wasn't that good and the main was an indy style match with tons of cool moves and little selling. I'd give the show a 6 out of 10 as there was a lot of decent wrestling here. The show was okay.
