WWE NXT 2/13/2024

Noam Dar and Oro Mensah are talking in the back. They say they will put away Stone and Wagner tonight. Stone and Von then come in, yell "sneak attack" and beat them up. Lash and Jakara ask Stone's kids where they went and they point in different directions. The fight then comes out to the arena.
Dar and Oro are slammed on the mat outside.
Von Wagner and Mr. Stone vs Noam Dar and Oro Mensah
Oro is popped up and dropped. Oro takes a spinning side slam and Stone lands on him off the 2nd rope.
Stone ducks a shot from Dar on the apron then takes a rolling koppo kick. Oro stomps Stone then Dar hits elbows on Stone. Dar backdrops Stone then Oro kicks Stone in the back. Dar hits a move on Stone for 2 then Stone hiptosses Oro over the top to the floor. Stone brings Dar's neck down over the top rope then Von is tagged in.
Von gets shots in on Dar then face kicks him. Von double underhook twisting neckbreakers Dar then Von hits a double chokeslam on both opponents. Stone gets on Von's shoulders and splashes Dar for 2. Dar hits a flurry on Oro and pushes him out. Stone misses a plancha then Von face kicks Oro off the apron. Dar gets a 2 on Von then takes a jumping knee. Lash and Jakara get on the apron and Oro chop blocks Von. Dar then pins Von to win it.
It was what it needed to be with Stone getting beaten up and Von eventually coming in to make the save. Stone got some "wow, he can do that?" type of shine spots in as well. I assume there will be another match in this feud as that's the only reason you would end this one that way.
We go to Chase U. The classroom is being put back together and Chase hugs his podium. Duke gets his MVP trophy back. Chase welcomes everyone back and said they made it back through some dark times thanks to Jacy Jayne. Chase says they are back and better than ever. Thea says she has a date with Riley and will talk to Jacy later.
Adriana Rizzo comes in. Rizzo asks what she has got for her and Jacy gives her an envelope. She said she threw extra in there due to the calendar sales being good and asks her to speak to the Don to get Chase U a tag title shot.
3v1 Gauntlet Match
Leg 1 - Ridge Holland vs Wolfgang
There's 3 ref's for this one. Ridge splashes him in the corner and short arm lariats him. Ridge stomps him then Wolf rakes Ridge's face in the corner. Wolf hits corner lariats and euros him. Ridge kicks him in the back while holding his hair and lariats him down.
Wolf hits Ridge when he gets back in. He knees him in the gut and sentons him. Wolf hits euros on Ridge then Ridge suplexes him. Ridge lariats him over the top. We go to PiP break. Wolf is thrown off the buckles. Ridge hits a northern lights bomb and pins Wolf.
Leg 2 - Ridge Holland vs Mark Coffey
Mark hits a punch flurry on Ridge and butt drops his back. Mark side headlocks him and they trade forearms. Mark spears him in the knee and works the knee. Mark hits forearms on Ridge and is pushed off.
Mark back elbows him then is caught off the 2nd rope with a swinging side slam. Ridge hits euros then lariats him. Ridge headbutts him then hits a belly to belly overhead suplex. Ridge runs into a forearm then spinebusters Mark. Ridge northern lights bombs Mark and Joe breaks up the pin.
The bell rings and Gallus 3v1 beatdowns Ridge. Ridge gets hold of a chair and nails Gallus, leaving them all laying. The refs then come in to stop it.
It's really hard to rate this one. In-ring work is really not something Ridge needs to work on, it's building a character and personality. Gallus aren't really the group to be doing that with. They really tried to put Ridge over here without burying Gallus too much. I don't know how far that's really going to go though.
Von and Stone are in the back. Lexis King talks to them and said it's a shame they came up short. King said Stone must be tired of losing all the time. Von tells him to get out here and King tells him the truth hurts. King said he has bigger and better things to do tonight and said he bets Stone's kids are desperate to look up to a role model like him. King tells him to grab his kids and let them watch and learn with King later.
The No Quarter Catch Crew are looking at The Heritage Cup. Dempsey says the cup represents British round wrestling for over a second then Kemp does a British accent and said it's sad it's held by a clown. Dar mocks them, saying they should be in Gulak's basement. He said they should not be anywhere near the modern day Mona Lisa. Gulak says they are admiring the hardware. Dar says that's all they will do and said it won't be stolen to go to their dungeon. Dempsey says they plan on winning it and Oro laughs. Kemp said they plan on repping The Heritage Cup correctly when Dar stops messing around with managers.
Lola Vice vs Tatum Paxley
Lola picks her up and slams her, then hits mounted forearms. Lola throws her down again. Tatum flips her over then back rolls her. Lola then slides out and goes for a choke. Tatum running forearms her then jumping elbow drops her. Lola axe kicks her in the back and knees her in the body.
Lola drops her with a knee and Tatum rolls her up. Lyra Valkyria comes down. Tatum forearms and dropkicks Lola then rolls into kicks on her. Tatum step up enzugiri's her then takes a spin kick. Tatum rolls her up for 2 then takes a spinning high kick for 2.
Lyra cheers on Tatum then Lola spinning urakens her for 2. Lola hits another spinning high kick and Tatum gets her feet on the ropes. Lola hits mounted forearms and Lola headscissorr triangles her. Tatum then taps out.
I didn't really love Tatum kicking out of all of Lola's finishers. It was short but not bad and the action never really stopped here.
Lyra carries Tatum out after.
Luca Crusifino talks to Tony D'Angelo in the back. He says nobody should tell him what to do and introduces himself. They shake hands. We see Stacks and Rizzo walks in. Rizzo said she got a taste at Vengeance Day but is coming for the full meal tonight. Stacks says Jaida doesn't know what's coming. Rizzotells Tony and Stacks to stay in the back. Tony said they have Baron and Bron tonight and tells Stacks they are cracking skulls first and asking questions later.
Adriana Rizzo vs Jaida Parker
OTM is also staying in the back for this one along with The D'Angelo Family. Rizzo hits forearms and knees. Jaida pounds on her in the corner. Rizzo takes off her earrings and hits a nice dropkick. Rizzo hits corner punches then suplexes her. Rizzo's shoulder oges into the post then Jaida butt drops her while she's laying on the 2nd rope.
Rizzo headbutts her and rolls her up. Jaida suplexes her for 2 then does a grounded submission. Rizzo rolls her up for 2 then hits flying forearms. Rizzo hits shots to the gut like Tony does then suplexes her.
Rizzo does a cool twisting kip-up. She is caught in the corner and spinebusters. Jaida running forearms her in the back for 2. Jaida forearms her while she's on her knees and pins her.
It was a short but good match. Rizzo looked good here showing some nice fire. I liked her twisting kip-up here.
Dijak is watching video in the back of him fighting Ilja Dragunov. We see Joe Gacy interfering. Dijak knocks over his computer.
Baron Corbin and Bron Breakker talk in the back. Baron hypes him up and asks if he's ready. Baron said tag team gold is on the line tonight and Bron said he figured Baron was hyped up for The Superbowl. Baron said he's hungry for this and hasn't held a title in 6 years. Bron asks if he's hungry like a wolfdog. Baron says no and Bron asks him why he won't say it. Baron said if they win tonight, he will say it.
Carmelo Hayes vs Joe Gacy
The camera goes upside down for Joe's entrance which is creative.
Melo rushes and pounds on Joe. Joe back body drops him then bangs his head off the buckles. Melo runs at him and Joe does a neat sliding backbreaker. Melo trips him then springboard lariats him. Joe hits chops on him then sentons him. Joe headlocks him and back elbows him.
Joe backbreakers Melo then back body drops him. Melo his punches on him and grabs him by the hair. Melo talks trash, Joe stares at him, headbutts him and hides under the ring. Joe pops up on the other side of the ring then topes Melo.
We go to PiP break and return. Joe is in a single leg crab and hits upkicks to get out. Joe hits forearms and dropkicks him. Joe shoulders him and backdrops him. Joe then hits a spinning uranage for 2. Joe hits a cradle shock for 2.
Melo running back elbows Joe then lifts him like a suplex into a cutter. Melo spring boards and is hit with a belly to belly. Joe handsprings into the ropes and takes a codebreaker off of it. Melo hits nothing but net and wins it.
I thought this went longer than it needed to. Joe definitely tried here and did some different things than usual. The matched up better than I had expected.
Melo tells Ilja that he's the last one left after. Dijak beats up Joe after and puts him in a straightjacket. Dijak spinning face kicks him while he's in the straightjacket.
Brinley Reece is warming up in the back near Karmen Petrovic and Kelani Jordan.
Karmen tells her she doesn't nee to be warming up this hard. Brin says she needs to be super prepared. Kelani tells her she knows she can get this win. Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson come in. They tell Brin not to listen to them. Lash says she does see the hype behind Kelani and asks what Dar sees in her. Jakara says they are all beneath them and Lash calls them all berry pickers.
We get a video with words saying goodness is a man's struggle, evil however, is human nature.
Oba Femi comes out to talk. He said you can't argue with prophecy. He says he's still the man. He said Dragon Lee is a proud warrior but he showed it takes more than fighting spirit to take the title from him. He said he's the alpha species of NXT. He said Dragon Lee is the first casualty. He said you can send anyone to take the title from him, but don't send anyone you want back.
Lexis King comes out. He said Oba's been calling himself the ruler, but he's a kind. King said he softened up Lee for him so he could use his tournament contract. King said he put the title on his shoulder and said he'll be the one to take it off of him. Oba said he doesn't deal with threats and King says it's a promise. Oba said he will get a shot next week, but his thrown is not one King will be sitting on soon. King hits a cheapshot then Oba gets a shot in and Kind leaves.
Ilja Dragunov said he's home recovering in a tweet and said we'll see if he has the guts to say things to his face when he returns.
Kiana James vs Brinley Reece
Kiana wristlocks her. Brin cartwheels over her then armdrags her. Brin shoulders her over, has words with Izzi Dame outside and is lariated on the floor by Izzi. Kiana stomps Brin then backflips and corner spears her. Kiana hits a neckbreaker then chinlocks her. Brin jawbreakers her, shoulders her over then does a handspring into a lariat.
Brin does a squat with Kiana on her shoulders into a TKO. Kiana reverse ddt's her then hits a 401k to win it.
It was short but fine for what it was. Brin looked really good here showing a lot of energy.
Ava sets up Briggs vs Jensen next week. She talks to Roxanne and asks if she punched Wren. Roxanne said it was the wrong time and place for Wren. Ava said Wren asked for a match with Perez and said after that, they can maybe talk about Perez getting the title match she wanted.
Enofe and Blade said they feel bad for Brinley Reece. Enofe said it could be a good thing as a loss hurts and now she will know how they feel. Blade said when they were down and out, she was there for there. Blade said they should be there for them. Enofe said they should make her do 5 likes and dislikes. Brin comes in, isn't down and said she feels motivated. She said she's never been better, much to Enofe's surprise.
NXT Tag Titles - The D'Angelo Family (c) vs Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin
Tony and Bron lock up. Bron shoulders Tony over then Tony shoulders him over. Bron takes double team sequence and Stacks gets in. Stacks spears him from the apron and goes to slingshot but is punched. Baron comes off to the 2nd rope and takes a shot to the gut. Baron takes a double suplex then Stacks is hiptossed into his opponents.
Baron death valley drivers Tony. Bron tries a powerbomb into a slam move on Stacks but doesn't hit it clean. Tony counters Bron's hurricanrana with a powerbomb. We go to PiP break and return. Baron hits deep six on Stacks.
Baron hits shots on Stacks then 2nd rope euros him. Tony hits lariats on Bron and Baron then belly to belly suplexes both. Tony does a weird suplex on Baron. Bron comes off the 2nd rope and takes a Tony spinebuster. Tony hiptosses Stacks onto his opponents outside. Bron takes a powerbomb + neckbreaker combo.
Bron hits a jumping knee on Stacks then Baron lifts Stacks into a cutter. Bron flips Stacks into a cutter. Baron black hole slams Tony then pops him up into a powerslam from Bron. Stacks, Baron and Tony are lariated over the top as the crowd goes nuts. Tony decks Bron outside then sends Baron into the steps. Bron takes a bada bing, bada boom through the commentary table. Stacks dropkicks Baron. Baron hits end of days on Stacks then Tony nails Baron. Bron spears Stacks and gets the win.
This was a great main here. Baron and Bron did their usual cool moves, but they got to hit them on Tony which looked more impressive. It was fast paced and high impact here with everyone taking some nasty looking moves. The crowd was heated for this and it had a good story with Baron trying to re-capture gold.
The crowd chants "you deserve it" after.
Overall thoughts: It wasn't the greatest episode of NXT ever but the main delivered and is worth checking out. I thought Reece/Kiana did good in their short match and Meta-Four vs Von/Stone went as you would expect.
