Jesse is wearing a cheese hat. Vince says they will give us an update on Hulk Hogan and Jesse asks if he cut the cheese again. He said Hulk Hogan is rotten.

The Hart Foundation vs The Brooklyn Brawler and Spike Jones

Bret and Brawler lock up. The Hart Foundation do an inset. Bret says they heard Demolition is worried about them. Neidhart starts freaking out and Hart said their frustration will be Demolition's frustration when they win their belts back.

Bret back elbows Brawler then is eye raked. Brawler shoulders him over and slides out. Neidhart nails Brawler and sends him back in. Hart nails Brawler in the gut then dropkicks him. Bret hits shots on Spike then lariats him. Bret stomps him in the gut. Neidhart slams and shoulders Spike. Neidhart hits another shoulder on him and Jesse accuses Vince of trying to eat his hat.

Bret headbutts Spike then Neidhart clubs on Spike. The Hart's then win it with a hart attack.

It went longer than it needed to and was boring. There was little but basic strikes here.

WWF Update

Mean Gene said he is wearing a Hulk Hogan friendship bracelet and said thousands will be wearing these until Hulk heals. Gene said things don't look good for Hulk.

Tugboat said a lot of people sent letters to Hulk, but a lot didn't. Tug said that hurt him. He said people don't understand how serious this situation is. He says Hulk is down and ready to end Hulkamania. Tug said they can't let this happen. Tug said he's not asking please this week, he's begging you. Gene goes down the three demandments of Hulkamania and says to say your prayers for Hulk.

This was so cringe and dirty.

"Rugged" Ronnie Garvin vs Tom Stone

Vince is down about Hulk and Jesse said there's only one thing you're sure of in life. Jesse said he thinks it's over for Hulk. Tom misses charges on Ron and hits chops. Ron chops him back and Tom goes out. Ron hits a big chop out there then chases Tom back in the ring.

Ron decks him with a shot and Rick Martel does an inset promo. Rick said he's not impressed with Ronnie and just needs to look in the mirror if he wants to be impressed. Rick said there's nothing he likes about him. Ron hits the Garvin stomp then taps him out with a sharpshooter.

It was a short squash with maybe 3 moves total here. Jesse called the sharpshooter a "reverse figure four leg lock with a boston crab". Ronnie really didn't fit the WWF at the time.

WWF Event Center with Sean Mooney

 

Sean hypes up the 7/14/90 Boston Garden show. Rhythm and Blues talks about The Bushwhackers. Honky says people know a lot of about them now. He said when you mess with them, you wear nothing but guitars on your head. Greg says they show them that not only can they rock and roll and boogie, but they can wrestle too.

Hercules does a promo. He said Akeem is a real big dude and he likes to hurt people. Herc says he likes them big and tough and he's waiting for him.

Jake "The Snake" Roberts vs Tom Burton

Jesse said Tom is thinking about scoring an upset win. They lock up and both back off. They collide with shoulders then Jake hits nice punches. Jake hits a kneelift and hammerlocks him. Tom hits corner spears then takes a short arm clothesline. Jake then wins it with a ddt.

It was a short squash but Jake's offense looked really good here.

Bad News Brown attacks Jake after. Brown hits punches and a lariat. Brown knocks Jake out of the ring with a headbutt and stares down Jake's bag with the snake. Brown goes to hit the bag with a chair then Jake trips Brown. Jake pounds on him and brings out Damien. Brown then runs for it, going into the crowd.

WWF Event Center with Sean Mooney

He runs down the 7/14/90 Boston Garden show. Hacksaw Jim Duggan does a promo. Jim says people don't give him much of a chance against Earthquake but his family, friends and fans know he won't quick. He says he will chop and chop and Quake will go down. He said he owes him for Wrestlemania.

Hart says Jim got Quake really mad now and he wouldn't want to be in his boots. Quake says he's been hurting people but he does it face to face, not from behind with a 2x4. He said Jim woke up the Earthquake and Quake will give him a 10.

Mr. Perfect vs Jim Powers

Perfect pounds on Jim then Jim hits a big hiptoss and lariat. Jim dropkicks him over the top rope. Heenan is shocked outside. Perfect does an inset with Heenan. Perfect said everything he does and everywhere he goes is perfect. He says he will make a king-sized fool out of Brutus Beefcake.

Perfect is irish whipped into the corner and slammed. Jim misses a dropkick then Perfect kneelifts him. Perfect yanks Jim's neck forward then Jim hits shots from his knees. Perfect knees him in the back then lariats him. Perfect then wins it with a perfectplex.

It wasn't a bad squash at all with both guys getting some shine in.

We see clips of last week's Nikolai Volkoff vs Boris Zhukov match.

The Brother Love Show with Boris Zhukov

Boris comes out. Love asks him what he would do if he was in charge of his country. You can't really hear it but he says something about invading with tanks. Boris is asked what he'd do to a traitor and he said he would eliminate him once and for all, like Nikolai Volkoff. Love says the US has opened their arms and hearts to Nikolai. He says he will show him that might is right when they get in the ring.

Tugboat vs Paul Diamond

Tug is announced at weighing 384lbs. Tug throws out Hulk friendship bracelets. The fans scramble for them. Paul grabs a side headlock then Tug shoulders him over. Paul jumps at him and is caught with a gutbuster. Dino Bravo and Jimmy Hart do an inset promo. He says nothing will help Hulk and he's out of wrestling for good thanks to their friend,
Earthquake. Dino says he will get Tug out of wrestling himself.

Tug side headlocks Paul then Paul jumps on his back with a sleeper. Tug backs him up into the corner then hits splashes. Tug then splashes him on the mat and gets the win.

It was another quick one here with Tug not doing a lot but splashes and a side headlock here.

Ted Dibiase and Virgil are in Cobb County, Georgia. We see someone digging ditches. Ted said Boss Man is known as being a fair and just man but the ditch digger says otherwise. The man says he wasn't far and honest. He says Boss Man used to handcuff him and beat him all night long. Ted asked if he treated him like a dog and the guy said no one treats a dog like that. Ted says Boss Man is a great bit pile of dirt.

We then see Mean Gene on the scene at the same spot. Gene finds someone else there and said Ted was talking to someone there. The guy there says there's no inmates here. He says he knows The Boss Man though. He said Boss Man wouldn't beat anyone and was a very fine man. He credits Boss Man for getting him his job. Gene said this is an example of Boss Man Justice in Cobb County and not part of a Ted Dibiase con-job.

Rhythm and Blues vs Warren Bianchi and Jim Brunzell

Jim Brunzell fought Rhythm and Blues two weeks ago and lost. Will he have better luck this time?

Jesse says Greg looks like Elvis again and Vince says he looks more like Roy Orbison. Jesse said Vince is trying to comb his hair like Honky and not getting the job done. Greg pushes Jim back and plays with his hair. Greg boots him in the gut then slams him. Greg misses an elbow drop then is arm wringered. Jim flying crossbodies him then is eye poked.  Vince asks if Greg is taking voice lessons and Jesse said they have a gold record, they would be giving voice lessons not taking them.

Jim arm wringers Honky then Warren is nailed from behind by Greg. Warren's head is banged off the top buckle then Greg elbow drops Warren. Greg hits a stiff suplex on Warren. Jesse accuses Vince of bad mouthing cheese when he makes fun of Jesse's hat, saying it stinks. Warren is thrown back into the corner by both opponents then chopped down. Warren takes a double back elbow then a double backdrop. Greg then picks up the pin on him.

Jim looked decent here and Rhythm and Blues really were a fun little team. Jesse and Vince had a good time goofing around on commentary here about them.

Honky gets the mic after and says "thank you very much" then tries to get the crowd to sing with him. Jesse then joins in on the song.

WWF Event Center with Sean Money

Nikolai Volkoff is mad at being called a traitor. He said he brought Boris to this country. He says he stands for freedom and justice. Volkoff then turns around, revealing Soviet and US flags on jacket, saying he stands for this.

Mr. Perfect and Bobby Heenan talk. Perfect says he's the guy you don't want to give the edge to as he will shove it down your throat. He says he will shove it down Brutus' throat. Heenan says if you want to cut Perfect's hair, all you have to do is do it. Perfect said many wrestlers have tried him and many wrestlers career's have ended. He says nobody beats Mr. Perfect, nobody. 

Vince runs down next week's show with Jesse. He said Jesse smells cheesy then Jesse gives Vince a cheese hat too. Jesse tells him to get a little stylish. Vince says it's gorgonzola and Vince says he hates gorgonzola in a wild segment. Vince made some wild faces here.

Overall thoughts: The Hulk Hogan letter writing campaign stuff was awful here as they made it sound like Hogan was dying and needed help from the fans when in reality, they were collecting addresses to send mail to. The Ultimate Warrior was again missing from the show despite being the champ.  I got a kick out of Rhythm and Blues. Jesse and Vince were entertaining on commentary here and helped the show out. I didn't think it was a great episode though and it wasn't the WWF's best work here.
