WOW Women of Wrestling 2/17/2024 Season 4, Episode 23

Team Spirit come out and Ariel Sky is in a neck brace. Coach said Ariel isn't able to continue in the trios tournament. She said sometimes you need to know when to stand back and step up. She said she looked in the mirror and said, "put me in, Coach". She said she will fill in for Ariel in the Trios Tournament.

Trios Tournament Semifinals - Tormenta and Las Bandidas (Sylvia Sanchez and Vivian Rivera) vs Exile (Genesis, Exodus and Ice Cold)

Gen and Sanchez go at it. Sanchez boots her in the gut then snapmares her for a Viv sliding lariat. Gen spin kicks Viv in the gut then Viv takes a double knee. Ex and Sanchez get in each others faces and Ex is rolled up. Ice hits a knee on Ex in the corner then flying headscissors her. Ice meteoras her.

Tormenta lariats Ice for 2 then Ice meteora's the back of Tor's neck. Gen leg drops Tor then Gen takes corner splashes. Tor death valley drivers Ice into her partners in the corner. Ice is thrown out and Viv neckbreakers Gen. Gen is tripped and takes a sandwich basement dropkick. Viv TKO's Gen and Gen sunset flips Viv to win it.

It was quick and okay for what it was. Nothing great here but they kept it moving and there weren't any botches.

Genesis does a promo after. She said she knew this match would be tough but Exile has hunger that they don't have. Genesis says they have been waiting for this longer than we know and says Exile has never been stronger as a unit. Genesis says to bring on the match next and said Tormenta and Las Bandidas have been exiled. It was simple but I liked it.

G.I. Jane talks. She says she followed Samantha Smart too long and look where it got her. She said The Classmaster and The Disciplinarian double crossed her when she thought they had a team. She said she will show us how she became a drill sergeant and why she is called GI Jane. She said has been and will always be the leader of the pack.

Chainsaw vs G.I. Jane

They lock up twice and back off each time. Jane goes for a waist lock and is backed up into. Jane tries lariats on her and hits knees in the corner. Jane misses a corner charge and is choked. Chain hits corner spears then foot chokes her.

Chain throws her. Jane mounts a comeback with boots for a 1 count. Jane misses a senton then Chain double chokes her. Jane claps Chain's ears and facebusters her. Jane tornado ddt's her for the win.

It was quick. Jane's offense wasn't that good as usual and I didn't like to see Chainsaw go down so easily.

The Classmaster, Samantha Smart and The Disciplinarian jump Jane after.

Santana Garrett and Americana talk in the back. Santana said she is sick of Jessie Jones and wants to take her and Amber O'Neal out. She said this ends tonight.

Princess Aussie and Adrianna Gambino run into each other in the back. Gambino calls her champ then says she's not the champ anymore. Gambino said she wouldn't have lost and Aussie said maybe it's because she hasn't fought her. They agree to a match for next week.

Jessie Jones vs Santana Garrett

SG rolls her up, snapmares her and kicks her for 2. Jessie throat thrusts her then Amber O'Neal trips SG outside. Jessie goes for an armbar on her and bangs her head off the mat. Amber chokes SG in the corner and the ref yells at her for it.

Jessie hits corner spears. SG goes for a cradle but Amber is arguing with the ref on the apron. SG slaps Jessie then cartwheel back elbows her. SG suplexes her and rolls into a pin attempt on her. Jessie does an indian deathlock without the legs hooked up. SG slaps Jessie then thrust kicks her. Amber O'Neal beats up Americana outside, SG is distracted and Jessie rolls her up for the win.

This was mostly about outside shenanigans more than anything else and didn't have a lot of wrestling in it.

We see clips from last week where The Mother Truckers go up to David McLane in the bathroom. They are grossed out by the smell and try to help him wash his hands. They say they need a match with Vickie Lynn McCoy. Holly said McCoy isn't getting way with putting her hands on her. Dave said he will give her a match with McCoy if they get out of here and they agree on it. This was a goofy but fun little segment.

The Fab Four come out with Lana Starr. Lana says McLane tries but he can't stop Miami's Sweet Heat from getting their tag title match. Lana said they will be 3 time WOW tag champs soon. MSH said the cream rise to the top. McLane gets on the mic and said they didn't receive the first chance at The Tonga Twins, but get a shot tonight.

WOW Tag Titles - The Tonga Twins (c) vs Miami's Sweet Heat

Lindsay thesz presses Kona and pounds on her. Kona then reverses it and pounds on her. Lindsay takes a clothesline and hits a forearm. Lindsay is shouldered over. Kona splashes her then Lindsay takes double double chops. Kaoz slams Lindsay and eats a boot in the corner.

Lindsay pulls down Kaoz then Laurie legdrops Kaoz. Kaoz's head is banged off the mat. Kaoz takes double corner spears then Lana grabs Kona's leg on the apron. Lindsay then lariats Kona on the floor. Laurie works Kaoz's arm. Laurie does a coast to coast dropkick on Kaoz in the corner and Lindsay gets a 2 count off of it.

Kaoz spears Lindsay and both tag out. Kona lariats Laurie over then slaps her. Kona superkicks her then Laurie takes a t-gimmick/tongan slam. Kona goes up top and splashes Laurie for 2. Lindsay throws Kaoz out. Laurie gets a title belt, the ref tries to grab it then Lindsay nails Kona with it. Laurie ddt's Kona and gets the win! We have new tag champs!

Miami's Sweet Heat got the win, winning their tag titles back after losing them to The Twins a few months back. It was a short but fine little match here with the faces getting screwed. We'll have to see where this one goes as that is not the end of this.
