Mike Bailey vs Jai Vidal

 

They offer handshakes and Mike blocks Jai's cheapshot. Jai goes for another shot and is kicked over. Mike kicks him down with a chest kick. Mike does his kick combo and enzugiri's him off of it. Jai then goes out. Mike knees him off the apron and triangle moonsaults him outside.

Mike climbs up the buckles from the outside and is pulled down. Jai throws him into the steps. We go to break and return. Jai slaps him in the corner then does his tornado suplex. Mike spin kicks and axe kicks him. Mike thne standing ssp's him for 2.

Jai ducks buzzsaw kicks then gets one in the head. Mike is pulled down from the 2nd rope and top rope double stomps him as he hangs from the top. Jai hits a claymore kick for 2. Jai slaps him several times. Mike slaps back and high kicks him then Jai enzugiri's him. Mike corkscrew kicks him in the back of the head then hits his ultimate weapon ssp kneedrop off the 2nd rope and wins it.

I felt like they did too much here especially for this show that nobody will see. I liked the early part with Jai hitting cheapshots and being a good heel. Then they just kind of went into the normal indy match and lost me. 

Around the Ring with Gia Miller

Mike Bailey is interviewed today. Mike says he's a weirdo. They talk about liking food and cooking. Mike said he'd be a cook if he wasn't a wrestler. He said he went to cooking school for a year. He said he quit cooking as you work a lot of weekends and he wrestles on weekends.

Mike says he's not a baker. He said he doesn't like people who don't use seasoning or sauce. Mike said he made some pulled pork grilled cheese once with a slow cooker and has never been able to recreate it. He said he likes to make low calorie food and they talk about making a cookbook together.

There was a classic match shown between Jeff Hardy and Bully Ray. 

Dirty Dango vs Laredo Kid

Dango does a pre-match promo. He says he hates lucha libre, which spawns a "lucha" chant. Kid flips out of a snapmare then flips out of an armdrag. Kid headscissors him over then dropkicks him out. Kid dropkicks Dango's 2nd Bravo through the ropes then top rope moonsaults Dango and Bravo outside.

Kid slams Dango. He corkscrew moonsaults him off the bottom rope and misses a 2nd rope moonsault. Dango suplexes him then hits a short arm lariat. Kid is thrown face first into the buckle. Dango back elbows him then suplexes him. Dango kneels on his back and chinlocks him.

Kid 2nd rope hurricanrana's Dango then neckbreakers him. They lariat each other at the same time and go down. Kid slaps him then Dango hits a big lariat. Dango goes up top and gets hit. Kid is pulled down from the top by Oleg Prudius then Dango top rope legdrops him to win it.

The crowd didn't care at all about this which made this one hard to get into. There was anything bad about it but it was missing something. I don't really ever think they ever really found the right flow for this. I don't really get Dango's unit with Bravo and Oleg. They don't seem like natural partners.

Overall thoughts: They had potential here with two possible decent matches. Bailey/Vidal was off to a good start but then just kind of turned into a normal indy match. There was nothing wrong with the main but something just didn't click and the crowd wasn't too into it.
