Hiroshi Tanahashi, Pegasso & Ryusuke Taguchi vs. Super KOKESHI Machine 2nd, Tiger Mask & YOH
Tiger and Peg start us off. Tiger tilt-a-whirl backbreakers him then Peg dropkicks him. RT and Yoh go at it. RT screws around and is side headlocked. RT screws around more and misses a rainmaker attempt. RT continues to screw around and Machine gets in.
Machine bulldogs him then Tana is grabbed by his belly fat and hit. Peg takes a triple boot then Machine hits punches on RT. Machine misses a headbutt drop then RT misses one as well. RT rolls into a hip attack. Tana gets in and flying forearms Machine.
Tana 2nd rope flipping swantons him for 2. Peg flying headscissors Yoh then tope con hilos him. Tiger is irish whipped and does a tope off of it then RT plancha's Tiger. Machine blocks a slingblade then hits a flying headbutt. Machine then headbutt drops him for 2. Machine misses another headbutt drop then takes a slingblade. Tana gets the win.
It went long and was half comedy. Not good. Tana struggled to even do the slingblade here.
Los Ingobernables de Japon (BUSHI, Tetsuya Naito & Yota Tsuji) & KAMAITACHI vs. House Of Torture (SHO, Yoshinobu Kanemaru & Yujiro Takahashi) & Magnus
Yujiro bites Naito's hand then Naito back elbows him. Yujiro misses a legdrop then is armdragged. KT bodyscissors rolls Sho then KT chairs him on the apron. KT's head is then banged off a table. Yujiro slams KT then hits elbow drops and a headbutt drop.
Magnus hits shots on KT and elbow drops him. KT picks up the ref and has him hurricanrana YK. KT tilt-a-whirl backbreakers YK. Bushi top rope dropkicks YK then does a spinaroona. Bushi goes to do a tope but Sho pulls him out. Bushi does a double hurricanrana to the heels. YK step up enzugiri's Bushi then takes a rewind kick.
Magnus and Yota shoulder battle and Mag armdrags him. Mag hits a 619. Yota high kicks an superkicks Mag. Mag then jumping cutters him. Yujiro nails his partner Magnus with the cane on accident. Yota splashes Mag then Mag takes a 4 person baseball slide. Yota rocking chairs Mag and taps him out.
It was as expected - a short match with everyone getting a quick section in and then getting out permanently. It wasn't much to speak of and was hard to follow.
Titan vs. Brillante Jr.
They start us off fast and Titan headscissors him. Titan topes him into the first row. Titan boots Brill in the stands. They trade forearms and Brill headflips out of a ddt. How that works, I don't know. Titan ducks a shot and hits a jumping back kick. Brill dropkicks Titan then Titan bodyscissors him over the top. Brill springboard dropkicks Titan then tornillo tope's him.
Brill 450's Titan. Titan hits a kick combo then rolls him into a twist on the legs. Titan superkicks him. Brill rolls him up into a one-handed sitout powerbomb. Brill then does a sitout corkscrew moonsault. Titan tornado ddt's him then top rope double footstomps him for 2. Titan then rolls him into an indian deathlock and taps him out.
It was a highflying and fast paced match. I didn't get the headflip out of the ddt spot here as that still seems like it would hurt. Brill's corkscrew seated moonsault was neat.
DOUKI, Hechicero & OKUMURA vs. Atlantis Jr., Dark Panther & MUSASHI
Douki and Dark go at it. Dark armdrags him then rolls him up. Douki keylocks him and Dark deadlifts him, but Douki rolls him back into it. Dark superkicks Douki. Musashi and Oku go at it. Oku spin kicks him and is chopped. Oku euros and lariats him. They trade armdrags and stand off.
Hech takes down Atlantis and does a nice armdrag. Atlantis headscissors him then rolls him up. Hech shoulders him over. Hech rolls him then Atlantis hits a sunset flip off of it. Atlantis chops Hech and they trade forearms. Hech jumping kicks him then Atlantis dropkicks him.
Oku back body drops Atlantis then jawbreakers him. Hech step up knees Atlantis then Musashi has his legs split. Dark hits a double facebuster on his opponents then Atlantis hits tilt-a-whirl backbreakers. Dark then topes Oku into the seats. Musashi dropkicks Douki in the side of the head then exploders him.
Musashi is pop-up dropped then Hech springboard dropkicks him. Musashi hits shots on Hech then Hech rolls him and flips him into a pin attempt. Atlantis frogsplashes Hech off the top then Douki breaks it up with a springboard. Dark shoulders over Douki then Musashi tope con hilos outside. Oku iconoclasma's Dark then cutters him.
Atlantis breaks up the pin then top rope crossbodies Hech. Atlantis powerslams Hech then flying headscissors him. Atlantis topes Hech then Dark drops Oku. Dark lifts Oku with a nudo and submits him.
It had a few mess-ups but was a fun fast paced tag with some dives. It was a standard type of lucha match that you would have expected from this tour.
El Desperado, Mascara Dorada, Mistico & Stigma vs. Los Guerreros Laguneros (Stuka Jr. & Ultimo Guerrero), Difunto & Francesco Akira
Mistico poses on the ropes and Ultimo hits him with a towel before this starts. They waste time and Mistico handsprings then hurricanrana's in a separate move. Dorada and Akira go at it. Akira back elbows him and shoulders him over. AKira headscissors him and Dorada cartwheels out of it. Akira tilt-a-whirl armdrags him and they evade each others moves. 4 of the wrestlers fight then Dif and Stuka are sent into each other. Despy and Stig slide out after them and get hit.
Mistico takes a spinebuster and has his legs split. Akira crucifix drivers Dorada. Stig takes a baseball slide off the apron then Despy is bridged on the ropes and Akira drops onto him. Dorada and Mistico hit stereo hurricanrana's off the ropes. Akira is dropkicked off the apron then Stig hits a dive outside. We then get a triple stereo dive from the faces and Mistico dives outside.
Mistico does a head drag and headscissors combo on the heels thne is popped up into a hurricanrana on Ultimo. Mistico then springboard hurricanrana's Stuka. Dorada top rope double crossbodies the heelsthen hits an assisted hurricanrana. Dorada twisting hurricanrana's Ultimo.
Stig dropkicks Akira then Akira takes a double backdrop. Stig gets crotched on the top rope then Dif hits forearms on Despy. Dif runs up the ropes and elbows Despy. Despy takes a 2nd rope gordbuster then Stuka splashes Despy for 2. Misitico is popped up and hits a dropkick then Mistico and Dorada do tornillos outside. Akira then top rope crossbodies outside. Dif does a spinning pumphandle slam then Stigma b-drivers Dif to win it.
It was a divefest here with the faces doing a lot of flying. As usual during this tour, Mistico did not hit his stuff clean. I thought it was fun for what it was but obviously wasn't a classic.
Soberano Jr. vs. Templario
Sob asks for a handshake and pulls his hand away. They lariat each other. Temp rolls him him up and flips him, taking a hurricanrana off of it. Sob then does a fosbury flop. Sob top rope tornillos him and hits a dropkick. Temp does a run up the ropes dropkick then tope armdrags him.
They fight on the apron and Temp gordbusters him on it. Sob hits a nasty wrist clutch b-driver on the apron, then they both fall to the floor, basically doing a 2nd one to Temp. Sob comes off the top, gets caught and takes a fireman's carry gutbuster. Sob springboard legdrops him on the back of the neck.
Temp does a tilt-a-whirl into the knee. Sob pumping knees and kicks him then takes a forearm. Temp springboards and is superkicked then Sob moonsaults and is dropkicked in mid-air. They pump kick each other at the same time.
Sob step up enzugiri's him and takes a wheelbarrow german suplex. Temp slaps him then Sob tries to stand on his back for a legdrop but slips. Temp takes a weird ddt on the apron then takes a 2nd rope gordbuster for 2. Temp is put on the 2nd rope and Sob moonsaults him as he hangs.
Sob is belly to belly suplexed into the buckles and gets his feet up on a Temp moonsault. Temp is powerslammed into the buckles. They trade forearms and headbutts on their knees, then slap each other at the same time. Temp flips Sob into a powerbomb. Sob rolls Temp into a canadian destroyer for 2.
Sob takes a bizarre reverse wheelbarrow dominator. Sob pumping knees him then hits a fire thunder driver. Sob then does it again to win it.
It was an indy spotfest. There was little selling or story and just one spot after another. Really awful and brainless stuff. Legitimately, it was one of the worst matches of the year.
Rocky Romero vs. Volador Jr.
Vol flying headscissors him out and tope con hilos him. Vol backstabbers Rocky for 2. Vol is flipped over the top then Rocky tope con hilos him. Rocky chops him on the apron then flying knees him off the apron. Rocky double stomps him off the apron on the floor. Rocky then hits a sliced bread on the apron and then a regular sliced bread for 2.
They trade forearms and Vol superkicks him. Rocky rewind kicks him. Vol superkicks him then Vol top rope splashes him for 2. Rocky hits a shiranui off the top for 2. Rocky top rope double stomps him for 2. Vol top rope spanish flies him for 2 then Rocky b-drivers him for 2.
Rocky hits kicks to the arm then is spin kicked in the gut. Rocky hurricanrana's him into an armbar. Vol deadlift powerbombs him then Rocky does a top rope spanish fly into an armbar. Vol turns the armbar into a styles clash. Vol then does a springboard into a canadian destroyer to win it.
Like the last match, they did too much here and didn't sell enough. I didn't like this at all and was quite bored by it.
Overall thoughts: The semi-main was an awful spotfest with no selling whatsoever. They did too much in the main as well. I also hated the opener but some of the midcard matches were okay. I wouldn't recommend this.
