We're still at the Broome County Arena in Binghamton, New York.

Vince McMahon and Jesse Ventura welcome us to the show. The crowd chants for Jesse. He said the crowd chants for him on this holiday because he's a patriot. Jesse said he bets he's a weekend warrior and Vince said he might have spent some time with Dan Quayle.

"Ravishing" Rick Rude vs Jim Powers

Rude does his usual speech, calling the crowd NY dimwits. He said to keep the noise down while he takes his robe off and gives us a good look at the next WWF champ.

Jim shoulders him over, runs at him and is thrown over the top. Jim lands on his feet, gets back in and dropkicks him. Jim hits a slam and hiptoss then Rude backs off. Rude does an inset promo. He said he took everything he wanted in life and he said he will take Warrior's title.

They box and Rude ducks punches. Rude hits his own and drops him. Rude does a camel clutch variation and pulls on his face. Rude slams him and elbow drops him. Rude does an ugly looking top rope legdrop where he basically drops his butt on Jim's face. Rude hits the rude awakening and wins it.

Jim got more in here than you would expect though he sometimes does. Rude's top rope legdrop didn't look good here. Rude also had a giant black elbow pad on here which he didn't wear often.

WWF Update

Mean Gene Okerlund is still wearing his Hulk friendship bracelet. He said Hulk is feeling better physically, but it will take time to make him feel better emotionally. We then go to Tugboat. He thanks everyone for writing letters to Hulk. Tug said he feels so proud of him. He said Hulk is pumping iron and is coming back thanks to the fans.

Tug read a letter from a 10 year old who says he will keep wearing the Hulk bracelet until he is back. He says he will be there for Hulk like Hulk has been there for him. Tug said it doesn't matter whether you are a small Hulkamaniac or a big one like him. Tug says they are all on the same team and makes a sound.

They interview fans who give their take on the situation. 2 of the 4 fans say he should retire.

The Bushwhackers vs Bob Bradley and "Iron" Mike Sharpe

Jesse says The Whackers are power walking and calls them The Marching Morons. Vince says only Butch bites and Luke "gums". Howard Finkel does a voiceover and says Hulk will make an appearance on 7/14 at The World Gym.

Bob hits shots on Butch and leapfrogs him, only to run into Luke's headbutt. Mike nails Butch from behind and nails his partner on a failed double team. Mike takes a double clothesline then a double back body drop. Vince asks if The Bushwhackers have a future in Hollywood. Jesse said if you could find a 3rd one, they could remake The Three Stooges.

Bob stomps on Luke and slams him. Luke headbutt drops him and bites his head. Luke flying neckbreakers him then Bob takes a battering ram. Bob takes a double gutbuster and is pinned.

The jobbers got a lot in here actually, more than The Bushwhackers.

Vince asks Jesse if he would like to rub Butch's head and Jesse said that's just what he dreams about in a sarcastic tone.

WWF Event Center with Sean Mooney

They hype up the next Boston Garden show. Earthquake and Jimmy Hart do a promo. Hart has a funeral wreath for Hulk. Hart said he told Hulk he should have some earthquake insurance. Quake said Jim Duggan wants to the new Mr. USA with Hulk out. Quake says Jim is nothing but a cheater who hits people from behind with 2x4's. He said the 2x4 is no good if you can't get it.

Hillbilly Jim does a promo. He said Haku is a tough fella and will kick a fella's head off it's shoulder. Jim says he has a foot of his own and show him some good ole country hambones. 

Boris Zhukov vs Brady Boone

Boris sings the Soviet national anthem. Boris clubs on his back and Jesse said Boris has one of the biggest head's he has ever seen. Boone cradles him and sunset flips him. Boone misses a dropkick then gets stomped. Boris puts him in the tree of woe and stomps him.

Boone is thrown out and we get an inset promo. Boris said the 4th of July shouldn't be celebrated by government. He calls Nikolai Volkoff a traitor and said he will hunt down like any political prisoner. Boris clubs Boone's chest then bangs his head off the buckles. Boone flips over Boris off the top then takes a lariat to the back of the neck. Boris then gets the win.

These two didn't work as well together as they should have and had some awkward moments here.

Boris hits Boone with his boot after. Vince complains and Jesse said Vince likes it when Duggan hits people with the 2x4.

WWF Event Center with Sean Mooney

Nikolai Volkoff does a promo. He said he thought he was the strongest man in the world when he won the Russian weightlifting title. He said Boris calling him a traitor and turncoat gives him more power than ever before. He said all of the Russian people and American people who fight for freedom are behind him. Volkoff tells him to be in the best shape of his life so he can knock him down for good.

Rhythm and Blues do a promo with Jimmy Hart. They said they are ready for another hit and say the second hit is the best. Greg said he never had a hit before teaming up with Honky and says this time it will be a two sided hit. Honky says it will be a double sided back to back hit. Hart says it will be solid gold, rock and roll coming at The Bushwhackers.

We go to Cobb County, Georgia with Ted Dibiase. He's on the football field with Boss Man's old Coach Patton. Coach said he played football here, but was just on the team. He said he couldn't walk and chew chewing gum at the same time. He said Boss Man couldn't crack an egg with his hits. He said he was a guard...of the water bucket and the cheerleaders. Ted says Boss Man is a hick and has a price for The Million Dollar Man. This was a fun segment. Jesse said it reminds him of "This Is Your Life".

Tugboat vs Dale Wolfe

Tug has the Hulk bracelet on. Dale waistlocks him and is banged with Tug's butt. Dino said Tug had tears in his eyes when Hulk got nailed by Earthquake. He said he can't stand a man that cries and said stop sending letters in because Tug can't even read. Tug bearhugs Dale then drops down and slams him. Dale hits a sunset flip and Tug just butt drops him. Tug slams him then 2nd rope splashes him to get the win.

It was a quick squash. Tug could move for being such a big guy.

The Brother Love Show with Mr. Perfect and Jimmy Hart

Love says there's been many IC champs but never a perfect IC champ. Perfect says he's correct on calling him the perfect intercontinental champ. He says not to overlook the perfect manager, Bobby Heenan. Bobby said if you had a child, would you want them to look like Brutus or Perfect? He talks about Perfect's eyes, body, teeth and hair being nice and says he's Perfect. Perfect said he knows Brutus would like to see him lose his blonde locks. He said Beefcake is losing the whole point as the whole point is the Intercontinental title belt. Perfect says he's not only the best wrestler of all time, but the best wrestler right now. He has Brutus if he knows when he will win the IC belt and Perfect says "never".

Dusty Rhodes vs Black Bart

Dusty elbows Bart's arm. Jesse is asked what his strategy would be and he said he'd thumb him in the eye an try to wear him out. Bart hits punches then takes some back. Dusty slams him. Macho King and Sherri do an inset promo. He gives Sherri a gift and pushes her aside to open it. Macho says he's better than the best.

Dusty hits more punches then does corner punches. Vince asks if Bart is related to Bart Simpson. Dusty elbows him and eye pokes him. Dusty hits a back elbow then an elbow drop for the win.

It was your usual unimpressive Dusty squash. He was really doing little but punches and elbows here and that doesn't make for the greatest squashes.

Dusty dances with Sapphire after. Jessie said Paula Abdul said this makes her sick.  

Demolition do a promo with all 3 members. Ax says it's a new and improved version. We see clips of Crush' debut. Crush says when opportunity knocks, he kicks the stinkin' door in. Smash says when the door is knocked down and they are in the doorway, there's no force that can stop us.

Bret Hart said he doesn't understand 2v3. He said he'd like to ask Jack Tunny the legal ramifications of this. Jim Neidhart said he thought it always 2v2. He starts flipping out and said he won't take it anymore.

Earthquake vs Mark Thomas

Jesse said Jack Tunney will have to do a ruling on this. He said when you are tag champs, that's 2 and not 3 and he doesn't believe in interchanging wrestlers. Jesse calls Quake the most famous man in wrestling history. Jesse said Vince will be wearing his Hulk bracelet 3 years from now.

Quake misses a corner charge and Mark dropkicks him. Quake lariats him over. Jim Duggan does an inset promo. He said he's wearing the Hulk bracelet and said it's a matter of time until he chops Quake down. Quake powerslams Mark and butt drops him for the easy win.

It was your usual squash here.

Quake sees Mark wearing a Hulk bracelet after. He rips it off and Jesse can't believe Mark would do this. Quake goes for aftershocks then Jim Duggan comes out with his 2x4. Quake and Jimmy Hart run off. Jim grabs the mic and chants "Hogan".

We get a WWF commercial with Vince saying it's hot, it's cool and it's the ultimate in sports entertainment.

WWF Event Center with Sean Mooney

Akeem said he likes Herc's muscled up body. He said beating an impressive man means that much more to him. He said he won't stop him from walking on him. Slick said this isn't the Olympics and muscle will do him no good against the might Akeem.

Brutus Beefcake says it's not the first time he sought the IC title. He said this time it's his time and said the 90's are the year of the Barber. He said Perfect will lose his dignity and hair. He said he has some new haircut styles to try on Perfect and Heenan. He said The Barber Shop is open.

Vince McMahon and Jesse Ventura close the show. He said next week is Brother Love with Nikolai Volkoff and all 3 members of Demolition. Vince says America has opened it's arms to Nikolai Volkoff. Jesse calls Nikolai a Benedict Arnold and said he should be sent to POW camp.

Overall thoughts: It was a forgettable episode to be honest. Nothing of note really happened and I wouldn't recommend it. I did enjoy though and thought it went by quickly.
