We are in the Performance Center in Orlando, FL. Vic Joseph and Booker T are on commentary.

We get a graphic for Pac/Neville who passed away this week.

Robert Stone tells Grayson Waller in the parking lot that Mason Rook is out. He says he won't face Rook tonight but will instead be doing an open challenge for the title tonight. Waller says he can't wait.

WWE NXT Women's North American Title - Zaria (c) vs Thea Hail

Thea jumps at her with a kimura. Zaria hits corner spears and suplex throws her twice. Thea's face is banged off the mat. Zar hits corner spears. Thea hits high kicks from the apron. Zar blocks Thea's headscissors. Thea armbars her. 

Thea splashes Zar's arm. Thea armdrags her and dropkicks her. Thea goes for a tope, gets forearmed and goes face first onto the floor. Zar spinning lariats her.

We go to PiP break and return. Thea takes a pop up headbutt. Zar is pulled over the top. Thea topes her. Thea tornado ddt's her on the floor. Thea headbutts her down. Thea meteora's her on the ropes and hits a world's strongest slam. Thea tries a bottom rope blind springboard and takes a german. Zar tries a spear but Thea rolls her into a kimura.

Thea counters an F-5 with a sunset flip. Zar spears Thea. Zar F-5's her and pins her.

Thoughts: It was a bit on the shorter side and Zar won as expected. Thea worked the arm here before being put down. Thea looked like she took a rough landing on the tope spot outside. It was average.

Dar, Moreno and Los Hermanos Wagner talk. Fraxiom walks in. They say they are proud of Dar and Moreno but want to beat them in the Dusty Cup. Axiom says it'd be nice to win it against The Wagner's. The Vanity Project walk in. Smokes says they are the #1 seed. Drake says it'll be champions vs champions in the finals if The Wagner's can last that long.

Myles Borne comes out to talk. He says he meant everything he said to Tavion. He says when he apologized, he was back to being the man he didn't want to be. He says he was never going to be a sucker like Tavion, but was setting himself up for it. He says when he lost his title, he could only think of Ethan Page. He says Page warned him he didn't have the killer instinct and he was right. 

He says he had a decision - to be just one half or the star he always was. He says the people tried to make him feel guilty. He says the people only liked him as they felt sorry for him. He says he was just way for them to fill the fans social justice warrior cup. He says don't feel sorry for him as he doesn't. He says he's the deaf one yet everyone is watching him, so the fans should feel bad for themselves. He says he's not the underdog, he's the favorite. He says to crack jokes and make fun of how he talks, but turn on the closed captioning and read what he has to say. He says he's done being the bigger man. He says  he doesn't want to have to listen to the fans anymore. He tells the fans to go to hell.

Thoughts: This was pretty cringeworthy, dirty and it was aimed at an audience that doesn't really exist.

Lizzy Rain tells Robert Stone she's ready to go. Chaz Hall and Mini Vikingo come in. Stone says they wanted a team to rep Evolve and AAA and it's them. They shake hands and are ready to go.

Grayson Waller is interviewed. He says Mason Rook was the #1 contender but wanting the title and doing something about it are different. He said he saw the quit in Rook's eyes and the doctor's quit for him. He says there's no man in NXT who can take the title from him. He says the first one to step up gets The Grayson Waller Rub and that's what everyone wants.

Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic First Round - Mini Vikingo and Chazz "Starboy" Hall vs Birthright (Stacks and Uriah Connors)

UC backs up Mini on the ropes. Mini rolls him then UC slams him. Mini rmdrags UC then double stomps Stacks' back. Star top rope double stomps Stacks' arm then Stacks throws him down backwards. Star armdrags Stacks and sits on his back. 

Hall spin kicks Stacks in the face. Hall and Mini get their topes caught and they are sent into the steps and post. Star takes a superkick to the face. UC maybe swantons him off the top for 2. Hall double pele kicks his opponents. Mini comes in and dropkicks the heels. Mini spinning ddt's UC and standing spanish flies Stacks.

Hall comes in and hits kicks on UC. Hall sweeps UC and standing corkscrew moonsaults him for 2. UC high kicks Hall then springboard stunners him. They all trade shots on their knees then get up and trade. Stacks lariats Hall from behind then Mini crucifix bombs UC. Mini toyota rolls Stacks into a code red. Star cartwheel pele kicks UC off the top. Mini tornillo's out. Star rolls up Stacks for 2. Star 2nd rope moonsaults into a spinning ddt. Mini top rope 630 phoenix splashes Stacks and pins him.

Thoughts: It was all high flying as usual with tons of action. They didn't overdo it too much at least but it was all about the action and not the story. It was acceptable.

Mini and Star get jumped by Birthright after.Zilla Fatu comes out and hits the heels. Fatu pop-up samoan drops Stacks then flying samoan spikes him.

Fatu gets on the mic after. He says he's done playing with Birthright and says the numbers game won't cut it no more. He says he will answer Waller's open challenge for the NXT Title and says the title will come home with him. 

Cruz Montana does a video. He says Dion Lennox had to pick his jaw off the floor against him. He says he realized he was blessed as his daughter doesn't have to go through what he does. He says he didn't get to be a kid. He says his mom was a drug dealer but she wasn't proud of what she was doing. He says she had to do what she did. 

He says his father was told he would be blind by 25. He talks about climbing out of rehab and says he used the bottom to climb to the top. He says if Dion wants to start this, he's the finisher.

Izzi Dame congratulates Zaria in a mocking way. Zaria comes into the locker room and they have pictures and memorabilia of her when she was acting in high school plays. The girls laugh.

Kelani Jordan comes out to talk. She says she's no longer the afterthought. She talks about her possible challengers and points out issues with all of them. She says she cleared out contenders and is the standout, not the handout. She says she will put her title on a line when a real challenger presents themselves. She says no one will do it like 'Lani.

Robert Stone comes out. He says the women's division will chose her next opponent and says there will be a 20-woman battle royal. He says the winner gets a shots at Halloween Havoc. He says Raw, SD, Evolve, AAA and TNA wrestlers will be in the battle royal.

Reina Volkan then jumps Kelani and short arm lariats her. She then elbow drops her and says she will be in the battle royal.

Thoughts: There were a lot of complaints online about TNA not having a team in The Dusty Cup and I think they put TNA wrestlers in the battle royal to make up for it.

Naruku tells Robert Stone that he will answer the open challenge and take the title. Saquon Shugars says he wants to answer the open challenge. Shugars asks about the match he wanted with Tristan Angels and Stone says it'll happen in 2 weeks. Shugars says Naraku is like evil and says Shiloh Hill will be ready for him. Naraku says we will see about that. 

Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic First Round - Fraxiom (Axiom and Nathan Frazer) vs Darkstate (Cutler James and Osiris Griffin)

Ax leg kicks OG and boots him out of the corner. OG takes kicks and a double basement dropkick from his opponents for 2. NF chops OG then hits mounted corner punches on him. NF enzugiri's him from the apron. OG shoulders NF over. NF is sent hard into the buckles by CJ.

NF's head is banged off the buckles and CJ euros him down. CJ slams him. NF enzugiri's CJ. CJ takes a ddt and OG takes an assisted dropkick. The heels then knock the faces over. NF is thrown out. Ax's springboard is caught and he takes a swinging backbreaker.

We go to break and return. CJ gutbusters Ax. NF and OG get in. NF hits forearms. NF springboard double axe handles OG. NG goes up and over and flying forearms him. NF tope con hilos CJ outside. NF top rope splashes OG for 2.

NF and Ax hit a double team double dropkick from the top. CJ takes a double lariat over the top. NF's tope is caught outside and he is sent into the post. OG flips Ax with a lariat. OG spinning torture rack neckbreakes Ax.

Ax cradles CJ for 2. Ax top rope spanish flies CJ. Ax topes OG. NF top rope phoenix splashes CJ and pins him.

Thoughts: It was fine. The faces flew and the heels muscled them around. There was no reason to believe the faces would lose here and they didn't. 

We see Kendal Grey at a psychologist's office. She says she thinks about wrestling 24/7 and doesn't really have other hobbies. She says she can't live a normal life to achieve abnormal goals. The doc asks if her lack of balance makes her good or breaks her. She says her response to everything was to work harder and she doesn't know how to stop. She is asked what she will do when working hard isn't good enough.

Izzi Dame talks to Stone in the back. Dame make fun of Xaria's old videos and makes a comment about competition Stone tells her she's in the battle royal next week and says Zaria is in it too.

Waller talks on the mic before his match. He says he turned up to work unlike Mason Rook. He says the men of NXT have their chance. He says they like tiktoking but can do something about it tonight. He asks the crowd who they think is ready for him. He says it doesn't matter who it is. He says the first one in the ring gets a shot.

Dozens of men head to the ring. They all fight in the aisle. Zilla Fatu and Cruz Montana go face to face outside and block each other from getting in. EK Prosper makes it in first.

WWE NXT Title - Grayson Waller (c) vs EK Prosper

This is an open challenge.

EK forearms GW from the apron and springboard dropkicks him. EK flips over GW's back and dropkicks him. EK moonsaults him off the apron outside. EK then tope con hilos him outside. EK springboard splashes him for 2.

We go to break and return. EK hits forearms and rolls him up for 1. EK dropkicks him in the corner. EK slams him and tries to plant into a moonsault but GW gets his knees up. GW goes up and over and double stomps his back. 

EK rolls up GW for 2. We see an Indi Hartwell tweet. GW leg lariats him for 2. GW suplexes him. GW cravates him. GW knees him in the face. EK hits chops and spin kicks him in the gut. GW electric chair pop-up backdrops him.

GW boots and kicks him while he's down. GW spinning forearms him and EK pump kicks him. GW spinning forearms him. EK stunners him. EK is up top and GW flying knees him. 

EK superkicks him on the apron. GW throws him up and stunners him over the exposed rope connector. We go to PiP break and return. 

GW hits knees to the body. EK superkicks him. GW does a reverse finlay roll for 2. GW is on the 2nd rope and EK jumping hurricanrana's him down from the mat. EK hits lariats. EK superkicks him and spinning ddt's him. EK falcon arrows him for 2. 

Ek high kicks him. GW boots him out of the corner. GW does an over the back curbstomp for 2. EK tries to springboard and is pushed out. GW slides out and lariats him on the floor. 

EK superkicks GW outside. GW is laid on the commentary table and EK does an impressive 2nd rope moonsault on him through the table. EK top rope la silla's/diving leg lariats him inside for 2. EK goes for a dive and is knee'd in the face. GW rolls in and stunners him. GW rolls into a cutter on him and pins him.

Thoughts: It was an okay to good main here. They did a little much but they had some creatives moves and it was full of action. GW's over the back curbstomp was a new one. EK's asai moonsault through the table was a pretty cool spot that had to hurt. 

Zilla Fatu is in the back. He says they don't want to see him win. My stream cut out a little here and I may have missed something.

Overall thoughts: It was the usual NXT. There was a ton of stuff going on and it was hard to keep track of it. The pace was fast and furious as always. The matches were all pretty fast paced here and full of action. The women's match was average. Myles Borne's heel promo wasn't good and was kind of dirty to watch. Mini Vikingo's tag match was acceptable. Fraxiom's tag was fine. The main was okay to good. They did some creative stuff and they had an athletic bout. I'd give the show a low 6 out of 10. It was okay enough but the storylines are still lacking some and the action has to carry everything.
