WWE LFG 8/9/2026 Season 3, Episode 16

We see Kali Armstrong running. She says it's a lifestyle and says she still has a world record in the sprint relay.

Matt Bloom, Kevin Owens, Bubba Ray Dudley and Johnny Gargano talk. Johnny has Kali Armstrong vs Chantal Monroe. Bloom says Kali is a generational talent. He says Monroe is trying to get noticed by HBK. Bloom says both are heels and they will have a heel vs heel match. Owens has Romeo Moreno vs Trill London. Bloom says Romeo does too much and doesn't want Trill to get bored with the basics. Kam Hendrix and Harley Riggins take on Elijah Holyfield and Apollo Crews. Bubba wants to work on Elijah and teach him how to sell with his head up. Bubba says he tore into Elijah. 

Chantel Monroe says her and Kali started together and are familiar with the other. Kali says Jazz helped them figure out how to do that. She says Jazz is a legend. Johnny Gargano comes in and says the heel vs heel dynamic is interesting. He says the typical wrestling match is face vs heel and says you let the crowd pick a favorite in this match. Johnny tells them to do their cool stuff.

Kali says they both put on bangers and will bang together. 

Kali Armstrong vs Chantel Monroe

They lock up and go to the ropes. CM hits her and dances. Kali hits some shots back. CM's crossbody is caught. CM backrolls her for 2. Kali pop up slams her for 2. Kali is pulled over the top and has her head banged off the apron.

CM sends Kali into the apron multiple times. CM basement dropkicks her for 2. Kali's head is banged off the buckles. Kali short arm shoulders her over. CM kneelifts her in the gut and meteora's her for 2. Kali hits shots and they swinging facebuster each other. 

CM superkicks her. CM swinging ddt's her and low flying knees her. Kali rolls into a spear on her. Kali flying shoulders her and pins her.

Thoughts: It didn't quite get into the usual heel vs heel match. They did a lot of basic shots here but they looked good and it wasn't bad. 

Johnny talks to the girls after. Monroe says the match went well. Johnny puts the match over. Bloom says he liked the match and said the finish looked good. Monroe says she thinks she has everything to be a WWE superstar.

We see Trill London and Romeo Moreno practice. Romeo talks about changing his name. Trill says him and Romeo are the same and it will be a good done. Trill says he's been dealing with injuries and he's happy to be back. 

Kevin Owens says Trill and Romeo don't get the most out of what they do. He tells them to make everything look like a struggle. 

Romeo Moreno vs Trill London

Trill has been gone from WWE for months now.

They lock up and RM side headlock takeovers him and Trill puts him in a headscissors. They repeat the headlock takeover > headscissors spot with the roles reversed. RM armdrags him into an armlock. RM dropkicks him. Trill hits armdrags. 

Trill dropkicks him through the ropes. RM springboard dropkicks him. Trill hits punches. Trill back elbows him and RM bangs Trill's leg over his shoulder. RM half crabs him and pulls back on the leg. 

Trill flips out of a monkey flip and lariats him. Trill hits back elbows. Trill rolling sentons him. Trill then tope con hilos him outside. Trill top rope swantons him and pins him.

Thoughts: It was a face vs face juniors match. I agree with Owens and Gargano complaining about Trill's selling. This was all action here with them keeping things moving. I thought it alright enough.

Owens says they got the wrestler out of the way to do the cool stuff. Owens says what they do should be reactionary. Owens says their flying looks impressive. Owens says he sees a lot of himself in Romeo. Matt Bloom wants them to register the shots they take. Bloom says Trill's strikes aren't good and look too soft. 

Trill wants to get a rivalry going with Romeo after and says he's his best friend.

Bubba talks to the wrestlers in the tag match. Bubba talks to Elijah about selling with his head up and making eye contact. Bubba talks to the wrestlers as they practice the match. He starts complaining from the start. Riggins agrees with his complaints. Bubba tells the other wrestlers to pick up Elijah's face for him if he doesn't. Bubba says he gave them the best opportunity to succeed. 

Kam Hendrix and Harley Riggins vs Elijah Holyfield and Apollo Crews

Crews has been fired for a while now.

We are at the NXT arena for this. Bubba complain's about Kam's movements. Eli is distracted by HR and hit from behind by Kam. Kam elbows Eli in the neck. Eli double shoulders both opponents over. Eli slams his opponents. HR atomic drops Eli then hits a nice shoulderblock. 

HR forearms Eli from behind twice. HR running back elbows Eli in the corner then basement dropkicks him. Kam knee drops Eli and atomic drops him. Eli atomic drops him in return. 

HR comes in and throws Eli down backwards. Eli sleepers HR on the mat. Eli punches HR down but Kam pulls AC down from the apron. HR flying lariats Eli. Kam stomps on Eli and slams him. Kam lariats HR on accident. AC gets tagged in. AC lariats Kam and HR down.

AC corner splashes the heels and flying lariats HR. AC then kips up. AC germans Kam and powerslams HR for 2. Eli throws Kam out. Eli uppercuts HR and drops him. AC top rope frogsplashes HR and pins him.

Thoughts: It was a fun little match here. HR was effective as usual as a heel and faces had a nice comeback at the end.

Bubba talks to the wrestlers after and says it was very good. Harley says they eat better, look better and are just better. Crews says he looks forward to the next one.

Shawn Michaels talks to Crews and Elijah. Shawn says they want Elijah to go down to AAA. He says the possibilities could be unlimited there. Eli says he's excited and said LFG has been amazing for him. He says it threw him into the fire fast. 

Overall thoughts: We had 3 new matches here and all of them were fine. They did simple stuff in Kali/Monroe but it looked good and it worked. Moreno/Trill was all flying and I was fine with it. The main was fun and got some good reactions from the crowd. There's nothing you need to see here and it was pretty similar to other LFG shows this season, but what we got here was fine. This was an okay show.
