The Dark Order do a promo. Uno says if you look in ROH's history books, you will see them on every page. Uno says it's been a long and hard road for them. Uno says it's time look forward and it begins today with Preston Vance. Uno says he forgives him. John Silver comes in and says he doesn't forgive Vance. He asks if they remember what he did to them and little Brodie. John says he doesn't like Vance and doesn't trust him. John says he's out of here.
ROH Women's Title Proving Ground Match - Athena (c) vs Gia Scott
They go for a lock up but Ath can't reach. Ath then forearms her down and hits mounted shots. Ath knees her in the gut in the corner then back splashes her. Ath running forearms her. Ath samoan drops her. Ath clubs her back and knees her in the face over the 2nd rope.
Ath cartwheels out of a snapmare and is superkicked. Gia swinging uranage's her for 2. Ath backslides her into a knee to he chest. Ath low flatliners her. Ath then curbstomps her for the win.
Thoughts: It was a short one and Ath won as expected. Gia got a little offense in though and had a decent showing as a girl with some power.
Ath sentons her after then pounds on her. Ath bang her head off the buckles and foot chokes her. Ath says she will set an example for Hazuki since she's too cowardly to show up. Ath curbstomps Gia on the title. Ath then says, "Hazuki, come out and play".
Athena does a video talking about being the longest reigning champ of the modern era. She says no woman will live up to her legacy and says people don't get what being the forever ROH champ is. She says it's about time Hazuki and the world get over it.
Preston Vance vs Danny Grandview
PV offers a handshake and DG boots him. DG hits punches and lariats him down twice. PV corner lariats him then running corner lariats him. PV corner pump kicks him. PV spinebusters him. PV spinning lariats him and pins him.
Thoughts: It was a short squash and not much more. There wasn't a lot to say about this. Vance is back in "10" mode and is trying to get the "10" hand sign over again.
Uno and Alex come out for their match before Vance leaves. They hug Vance.
The Dark Order (Evil Uno and Alex Reynolds) vs Hook and Action Andretti
Hook and AA have been teaming up lately so this isn't totally random.
Uno offers a handshake and AA piefaces him. AA then hides between the ropes. AA rolls out of a lariat and poses on the ropes. AA side headlocks Uno. AA flips over Uno when he drops down. Uno side headlocks him. Uno slaps AA then shoulders him over.
AA is tripped into a hand stomp and a double basement dropkick for 1. AA eye rakes Alex then boots him in the gut. Hook knees Alex in the gut. Hook chokes Alex on the ropes. Alex cobra twists him and Hook hiptosses him. Alex back elbows him and elbow drops him. Alex knee drops Hook.
Hook trips Alex then karelin's lifts him. AA euros Alex. Alex backslides him for 2. AA does a punhandle side slam on Alex for 2. Hook chops Alex. Alex fights out of the corner and misses a 2nd rope splash. Hook hits Alex in the gut in the corner and throws him. Hook corner lariats Alex.
Hook northern lights suplexes Alex for 2. AA is sent into Hook. Uno gets in and hits punches on the heels. Uno corner lariats both opponents. Hook corner splashes hook on accident. Hook double ddt's his opponents together. Hook hits Finlay's oblivion on AA for 2.
AA kicks the ropes into Uno's crotch. AA handspring kicks Uno. Alex backrolls AA then hook red rum's Alex. Alex is out but the ref says Hook isn't legal and makes him break it. AA springboard 450's Alex and pins him.
Thoughts: It wasn't that good. The faces' hot tag segment wasn't that good and it just died about about half way through. The finish was also a little weird.
Daniel Garcia vs Alec Price
They shake hands. DG wristlocks him and AP rolls out. DG wristlocks him again. AP flips out using the ropes and armdrags him. AP hits kicks. AP goes up top and is pushed down to the floor. DG twisting neckbreakers him on the floor.
DG low diving forearms him. DG chinlocks him. DG hits mounted corner punches. AP hits chops. DG punches him in the corner. DG corner lariats him a few times. AP is popped up and he dropkicks DG.
AP boots DG out of the corner. AP runs the ropes fast and running lriats him. AP pumping knees him in the corner. DG goes for a choke and then facekicks him. AP jumping knees him. AP is popped up and forearmed down. AP superkicks him. AP rebound lariats him.
DG tells him to show him who he is. They forearm each other. AP spinning hooks and backfists him. DG running corner lariats him. DG is back body dropped out. AP suicide dives him. AP walks up the ropes and blockbusters him.
AP springboards and is forearmed. AP blocks a sunset flip and gets a 2 count on him. DG chops him and goes for the choke. DG piledrivers him. and pins him.
Thoughts: It went long and wasn't good. Price is a weird guy and not that good at this wrestling thing. He just did some odd stuff here that didn't work and showed little skill as a face.
DG hands his hand after.
Jordan Oliver does a promo. He says him and Nick Wayne used to be one of the best tag teams on the planet. He says Nick left him on the indies and never thought he'd catch up. He says he got here through grit, determination and brainpower. He says this isn't just a pit stop on Nick's title road. He says it's the biggest test of his career. He says Nick isn't thinking about what happens if he wins, but he is.
ROH TV Title Proving Ground Match - Lio Rush (c) vs Joe Keys
Joe offers a handshake. Lio rolls him up off of it and corkscrew kicks him in the head. Lio handspring kicks Joe off the apron. Lio topes him outside. Lio forearms him and lariats him down. Lio cutters him and stunners him. Lio then bridge and does like a reverse choke on him. Lio wins.
Thoughts: It was a squash and there was only so much they could do here. It wasn't anything too special. Joe took a hard bump from the apron to the floor.
Action Andretti comes out and stomps Lio after. He then pounds on him. Action grabs the TV Title and nails Joe with it. Lio spears Andretti then chokes him. Lio grabs a barbed wire chair and Action runs.
The Outrunners and Dalton Castle are interviewed. Truth says they've had a hell of a ride. Turbo says they can get their hands on The Lethal Twist 3v3. Dalton says he's excited and says The Twist will melt when they face them. Dalton says he's p!ssed and will hurt them. Turbo and Truth then pose.
The Lethal Twist then do a promo. Blake says they will be 6-man tag champs tomorrow. Jay says the picture of them screams excellence. Jay says it demands the destiny that is theirs. Jay says the next time the camera is on, they will stand there as the new 6-man tag champs.
Mina Shirakawa and Queen Aminata vs Erica Leigh and Brittany Blake
BB and Queen shake hands. Queen clean breaks her on the ropes. BB goes for a test of strength and double chops her in the gut. Queen waistlock takedowns her. BB armdrags her and Queen side slams her off a headscissors attempt. Queen suplexes BB.
Erica and Mina get in. Erica hits chops and drops Mina face first on her knee. Mina crucifxes her. Mina ducks a lariat and shimmies. Mina legsweeps Erica. Erica's throat is pulled over the top rope. Mina slingshot tornillo's Erica for 2.
Queen snapmars Erica. Erica gets her head banged off Queen's butt while Mina kicks Erica in the back. Queen then grabs BB and hits her with her butt too. Mina double basement dropkicks them.
Queen pulls Erica's arms back and puts her legs behind her head. BB breaks it up. Erica facekicks Queen and cubs on her. Queen takes a double back elbow for 1. Eric chinlocks her and Queen cradles her for 2. Queen forearms Erica down. Mina and BB tag in.
Mina top rope dropkicks BB. Mina neckbreakers BB and slingblades her for 2. BB codebreakers Mina. Queen double chops Erica and Erica takes shots from both opponents. Queen top rope double stomps Erica for 2. BB enzugiri's Mina. BB flips over Mina's back and hurricanrana's Queen off of it. BB rolls Queen into a double stomp. Mina lifting sitout reverse ddt's BB.
Queen headbutts Erica down and running knees her on the ropes. Queen then pins Erica.
Thoughts: It was long and not a squash at all. It felt like a tryout match. It was acceptable. Blake has a good look but didn't get to do all that much here.
Deonna Purrazzo does a promo. She says Steph de Lander talks too much. She congratulates her on winning a match but says she disrespected every rule they have. She says the other girls became students of Pure Rules. She says there's a difference between competing in Pure Rules and mastering it. She tells her to count her rope breaks and punches because there is nowhere left to hide when they run out. She says she can't talk herself out of a broken arm.
We get a video on Deonna vs Steph.
Nick Wayne vs Jordan Oliver
They shake hands and lock up. JO clean breaks him in the corner. Nick then slaps him on the break. Nick side headlocks him. JO shoulders him over. JO trips him then chops him down. Nick bangs JO's head off the buckles and boots him in the corner. Nick punches him down.
Nick flying euros him. Nick legdrops him for 1. Nick grounded cobra twists him. JO hits a bunch of punches. Nick jumps up and JO flying side slams him. Nick suplexes him into the buckles. Nick hits forearms and is chopped. JO flying lariats him.
Nick and JO slap each other then trade forearms. JO chops him. JO is pulled throat first into the ropes. Nick pump kicks him then JO sitout gordbusters him. JO running facekicks him. Nick rolls up for 2 and superkicks him. Nick poisonrana's him. Nick handsprings and is german'd for 2.
JO superkicks him in the corner. Nick comes off the 2nd rope and is dropkicked in mid-air. Nick armdrags him off the 2nd rope and trips him into the buckles. JO cradles him for 2. Nick high kicks him. Nick fisherman buster's him and pins him.
Thoughts: This match shouldn't have happened. It had a story to it with them being former partners and they blew through it here without any build. It went long and I didn't think it was that interesting. The crowd wasn't into it either. This was average.
Nick stomps him after and hits mounted shots on him. Nick bangs JO's head off a chair and goes to conchairto him. Bandido comes out and Nick runs.
Nigel McGuinness does a video. He says he's not cleared to compete at Death Before Dishonor. He says his focus has to be Wembley.
Pure Rules Match - Winner faces Lee Moriarty at Death Before Dishonor - Katsuyori Shibata vs Wheeler Yuta
KS tries a pin on him and they wrestle on the mat. Yuta backs him up in the corner and KS uses a rope break. KS snapmares Yuta into the ropes twice then figure fours him. Yuta uses a rope break to escape. KS backdrops him and chinlocks him. Yuta uses a rope break to get out. KS backdrops him. Yuta waistlocks him and KS uses a rope break.
Yuta punches KS and is given a warning. Yuta dropkicks him then stomps on him. Yuta suplexes him. Yuta 2nd rope elbow drops him. Yuta suplexes him for 2. Yuta flying back elbows him in the corner. KS flying facekicks him. KS hits mounted forearms in the corner. KS corner dropkicks him. KS underhook suplexes him for 2.
KS facekicks Yuta and chops him. They trade forearms. Yuta tries to skin the cat on a move and uses his last ropebreak. KS suplexes him on the apron then on the floor. KS snapmares him. Yuta ducks a PK and rolls him up for 2. KS slaps him and puts him in the sleeper. KS does a grounded octopus and submits him.
Thoughts: It went 7:11. I dislike how they keep having people burn rope breaks accidentally. It makes it silly. I thought it was average and not that exciting at times.
Nick Wayne does a video. He says Jordan Oliver used to be his best friend. He says they traveled all over the US and Japan with him. He says everyone thought they would be something special but he surpassed him. He says tonight was a message to Bandido. he says Band is looking at the new ROH champ.
Tornado Tag Match - Red Velvet and Zayda Steel vs Marina Shafir and Skye Blue
The faces run down and all 4 start fighting. Zay and MS go out. Red flying headscissors SB. SB chest forearms Red then Red dropkicks her for 1. SB superkicks Red. MS pulls Zay down face first on the apron and SB is dropkicked into MS.
Zay codebreakers SB over the 2nd rope. SB takes a double suplex for 2. MS and Zay trade shots. Zay boots her in the gut and foot chokes her. SB hits the faces with a kendo stick. SB sits on Zay's back and chokes her with a kendo stick. MS slams Red onto Zay.
The heels set up a table outside. Christopher Daniels knocks the table away then is superkicked and put in mother's milk. The faces tope the heels outside. The faces then hits thesz presses and hit mounted shots on the heels.
The girls trade forearms on their knees and knock each other down with shots. Zay and SB boot each other down at the same time. Ref tries to boot MS off the apron through a table. MS backdrops Red through a table from the apron.
Zay rolls up SB for 2. SB backslides her for 1 and knees her in the face. SB code blue's Zay and pins her.
Thoughts: It was an okay bout. They didn't get too crazy or anything but at least we got a table spot out of it. It would have been nice if it had a little more build to it, because there wasn't much except for the match from a few days before.
The heels beat up on the faces after. SB and Shafir then tug of war over Red's TV Title.
Overall thoughts: We had a couple of champs in action at least but of course not the world champ. We had a lot of mostly random matches here as usual. This was taped at an AEW show and you could see the crowd slowly emptying as it continued on. I would say the main was best match on this one. Mina's match was acceptable. I didn't like Nick/Jordan that much and Shibata/Yuta got a little boring at times. I'd give this a 5 out of 10 as it was an average show and nothing too must see.
