EPW Wrestling Unleashed 8/1/2026 Episode #253

The hosts welcome us to the show.

K-Swiss is sweeping up the ring. The refs complain and they argue about it. Swiss then threatens them with the broom. 

Aaron Roberts comes out. Swiss backs off when Aaron gets in. Aaron facekicks him. Aaron buttdrops him and Swiss goes out.

Mike Anthony is interviewed. He's excited about being at the Tippah County Fair on 7/31 but he's more excited about being at home. He says they take over the fair as only they can do. Mike then issues an open challenge. He says to get ready to welcome everyone to The Nightmare.

Aaron Roberts is interviewed. He says he said he would be a fighting champ and says he sees The Order running him down on TV when he's not in town. Aaron says he has come to town. He says his title was earned not given and says The Order wants to disgrace the title. He says he's paying attention and they got a problem. Aaron says he's running his mouth and doesn't see Dorian Vain out here. He says when Dorian's ready, he's ready and he'll walk out EPW champ.

The Order (Izzy Rotten and Ethan Ross) vs Sevyn Cruz and Jared X Rawlings

Sev's team heads in and the fight starts. Jared sends Ross out of the ring and slingshot plancha's him. Sev hits forearms on Izzy. Jared is sent into the post. Izzy hits corner spears and headbutts on Sev. Ross misses a charge outside and goes into the rails.

Izzy eye rakes Sev and Jared hits forearms on Ross inside. Sev and Jared take shots in the corner. Izzy chops Jared. Sev hits chest kicks on Ross. Sev facebusters Ross for 1. Ross chokes Sev. The heels are sent into each other and both are rolled up. Sev and Jared pick up stereo pins to win.

Thoughts: It was a short texas tornado style tag here with all 4 men fighting at the same time. It had a lot of action and they did a good job of bringing the fury here. These teams did a good job putting over that they had issues and I liked this.

Sev is put in a chinlock after. Ross beats up on Jared and TKO's him. Sev covers Jared and gets stomped on by the heels. Refs then come in to break this up. The heels put the faces in holds and leave them laying.

Wonder Boy is interviewed. He says he's excited to be at the Tippah County Fair. He says he needs everyone to be there to witness him fight for justice and beat crooked villains across the ring. He says be there to witness justice prevail.

EPW Apex Title - Eli Knox (c) vs Elijah Rose

They lock up. EK hammerlocks him and trips him. EK slaps him in the back of the head. EK backs up Rose in the corner and chops him. EK struts and Rose chops him. Rose armdrags him then dropkicks him. Rose back body drops him. EK swinging neckbreakers him for 2. 

EK hits forearms on Rose and slaps him. Rose backdrops him then hits lariats and back elbows. EK backrolls him for 2. Rose germans him for 2. Rose is pulled into the 2nd rope. EK jumps and drives Rose's face into his knee. EK pins Rose.

Thoughts: It was a decent battle here. Rose had the right idea and was definitely doing old southern babyface style wrestling here. It worked too. Knox won as expected.

Ethan Steele vs Chuck Swann

Chuck has a new girl with him. Chuck talks on the mic then ES nails him from behind.

ES double axe handles him and drops him with a shot for 1. ES misses a running back elbow. Chuck step up knees him in the corner. Chuck russian legsweeps him into the buckles and sliding hip attacks him for 2. Chuck goes for a move and is backdropped.

ES gets a 2 count on Chuck. Chuck spinning ddt's ES. Chuck does a spinarooni. Chuck jumps at him and is flatlinered. ES pins him.

Thoughts: It was a shorter one. They kind of made Chuck look like a fool here on purpose as he'd strut and do taunts then get nailed for it. This was not really what I expected.

"DDT" Diana Taylor vs Gigi Turner

They lock up. DT wristlocks her and hammerlocks her. DT side headlocks her then shoulders her over. DT chinlocks her and knees her in the back. DT bangs Gigi's face off the mat and low leg lariats her for 2. Gigi jawbreakers her. Gigi hits some shots then armdrags her. Gigi hiptosses her and sitout slams her for 2.

DT jawbreakers her then flying back elbows her. DT misses a corner charge. Gigi hits kicks in the corner. DT snapmare drivers her and pins her.

Thoughts: Diana didn't get all that much offense in here. Gigi needs to work on making her offense look a little better. It was a match.

DT hugs Gigi and holds her arm up after.

CJ Thomas is interviewed. He says he's itching to be at the Tippah County Fair. He says he wants to take the CJ System there. He says it's a summer of squats and lifting heavy weights. He says he will show everyone why the CJ System is sweeping the nation. He says it's a CJ Thomas promise.

CJ Thomas is interviewed. He says he's in the best shape of all his life and says his quads are bigger than everyone's future here. He says this town is worthless and needs more water instead of sugary drinks. He says the fans are beer chugging inbred idiots. The interviewer defends the fans. 

James Storm comes out. Storm says he heard what he said. Storm says he's proud to be a redneck. He says you learn respect being a redneck. He challenges CJ to a match. CJ asks if the fans want to see that match and says that's too bad as there's not a ref out here. A ref then appears in the ring. 

The interviewer says let's do it. Storm goes to say, "sorry about your d@mn luck" then CJ nails him.

"Cowboy" James Storm vs CJ Thomas

CJ bangs Storm's head off the apron. Storm hits punches inside and back elbows him. Storm bangs CJ's arm off his shoulder. We go to break and return. CJ pulls Storm's hair and side headlocks him. Storm side headlocks him then shoulders him over. Storm hiptosses him. Storm pulls him crotch first into the post.

Storm hits CJ outside. Storm is sent into the post then has his head banged off of it. CJ chinlocks Storm. CJ pulls him down by the hair then chokes him. CJ back elbows him and rakes his eyes on the top rope. CJ running euros him in the corner. CJ does push up's. CJ running euros him in the corner. Storm superkicks him and pins him.

Thoughts: They didn't quite make as much of the finish as they could have. CJ got a lot in here and tried to heel it up some. It was acceptable but nothing too special.

Storm helps CJ up after. Storm does jumping jacks and superkicks him down. Storm then does push up's next to him while he's down.

Overall thoughts: The Order's match with Cruz/Jared was the best match of the night. Rose/Knox was fine. Steele kind of embarrassed Chuck Swann. Diana/Gigi wasn't much of note. Storm/Thomas was acceptable. It was an okay show as usual from EPW and the shows always have a fun little vibe to them. I'd give this a 6 out of 10 overall.
