WWE LFG 8/16/2026 Season 3, Episode 18

Layla Diggs says she's been sewing for a year and it gives her something to focus on instead of wrestling. She says it's her peace and she likes to have new projects to work on.

Masyn Holiday says you hear a million different things in the PC. She says staying true to who you are will translate in the ring. She's painting and says it's the best way for her to carry herself. She says art is a lot of self-discovery. 

Diggs says she is whoever she wants to be in her wrestling gear.  Diggs then shows Masyn the gear she was working on through video call. 

Matt Bloom, Booker T, Bubba Ray Dudley and Kevin Owens talk. Owens has Tate Wilder vs Romeo Moreno. Bloom says Tate is doing what he's told and is getting better. He says Romeo is more worried about theatrics than believability. He says he doesn't believe in what he's doing. Bloom says it's a face vs face match.

Bloom says Bubba has Masyn Holiday vs Layla Diggs. Bloom says they want to see Diggs be the heel. Bloom says they need to work on their stamina.  

Booker T has Harlem Lewis vs Trill London. Booker says everyone sees Jeff Hardy in Trill and doesn't think they can remove it from him. He says being the Black Jeff Hardy might not be a bad thing. Bloom says Trill needs to be a student of the game. He says he's not watching or studying enough. Bloom says Lewis feels like he's being aggressive but he's not showing it. 

Owens talks to Romeo and Tate. He wants one of the to be more aggressive in the ring. Tate says he got to work with a lot of stars and says Owens is a little different. Romeo says Owens lets you do what you want but it comes with pressure. Tate says Romeo has 10x the experience he does and took control. We see Ace Steel working with Romeo and Tate.

Tate's wife and daughter come to see him. 

Romeo Moreno vs Tate Wilder

They lock up and break in the corner. Romeo hits chops. Tate boots him out of the corner and flying shoulders him. Tate backdrops him. Tate asai moonsaults and Romeo gets his knees up. Tate goes out and Romeo tope forearms him. Romeo tries pins for near falls. 

Romeo hits mounted punches. Romeo fireman's carry takeovers him and stomps him. Tate takes him over. They flying clothesline each other at the same time. Tate hits chops and hits running forearms. Tate running shoulders him over. Tate suplexes him. 

Tate victory rolls him for 2. Romeo rolls him into a suplex for 2. Romeo misses a top rope moonsault. Tate flying forearms him. Tate top rope moonsaults him and pins him.

Thoughts: I was expecting a high flying match and we didn't get much of that here. They did anything but that at times. I didn't think it was as good as it could have been and I thought it was average.

Tate says he never thought he'd here. He says having his family at the beginning of it makes him want to tear up. Tate then brings his kid over to Owens. Owens says he's nitpicking. He says he didn't like the lock up. Owens talks about Tate having to move out of a moonsault. 

Bloom says Romeo worked angry and he liked it. Bloom wants them to hit hard chops. He says they did a good job.

Bubba talks to Masyn Holiday and Layla Diggs. Diggs says one of them has to turn on each other and wants to turn fast. Bubba agrees. Masyn says she never worked against Diggs and says it'll be fun. Bubba says they need to work on their stamina. He says they should come out together and says Diggs should say, "shut up, b!tch" to Masyn. 

Masyn Holiday vs Layla Diggs

Masyn is already gone from WWE, though it was on her own accord.

Mas and Lay come out together and dance together. They dance in the ring and the PC wrestlers complain that they are facing each other. We go to break and return. They hug and Lay nails her from behind. Lay says, "shut up, b!tch". Lay snapmares her and stomps her. Lay then legdrops her.

Lay leg lariats her for 2. Lay stomps her and standing moonsaults her for 2. Lay chinlocks her. Mas hits her in the gut and chops her. Mas backhands her and slaps her. Mas hits back elbows. Mas backsplashes her and flying knees her. Mas suplexes her and slams her. 

Lay begs off. Mas teases punching her. Lay grabs her by the hair, cradles her and pins her.

Thoughts: It was a fun match with the partners turning on each other. It was something different and I thought they did a good job with the story. Layla was a decent heel here.

Bubba talks to the girls. He says he usually doesn't show emotion, but he loved the match. He says they showed emotion and talks about the crowd pops for Layla turning on Masyn. Bubba says we have a new heel on our hands in Layla. We also saw Norman Smiley during this.

Bloom says it was a good match and says he was proud of that match. Layla says she was proud of herself and says she felt so much passion, anger and rage. Masyn says it feels amazing for the crowd to go crazy for her and says it was her favorite match.

Booker talks to Trill and Lewis. Booker says there's something missing in Lewis. Booker says Jeff Hardy knew the small things and implies Trill doesn't yet. Booker says maybe it's a good thing Trill wants to be Jeff Hardy. Trill says he takes some influence but he's himself. He says he likes art and likes to paint his nails. Booker wants Trill to work on the basics. Booker says Trill only has another 6 months here if he keeps trying to be his personality all the time.

Lewis and Trill work on the match. Lewis has too many ideas for Booker. Trill says he and Lewis joked that Booker would change the entire match on them. Lewis says Booker isn't wrong but it says when you have ideas and feel overproduced.

Booker tells Lewis that he has to fix anything that goes wrong. Lewis talks about being an in-ring general.

Trill London vs Harlem Lewis

We are in the NXT arena for this. Trill has already been fired.

Lewis knees him in the gut then back elbows him down. Lewis slams Trill. Trill hits armdrags and Lewis blocks one. Trill seated moonsaults him into an armdrag. Trill flips while holding the ropes and dropkicks him for 2. Lewis eye rakes him then back body drops him. Lewis lariats him hard form behind for 2. Trill crcufixes him and dropkicks him in the gut. 

Trill back elbows him. Lewis tries a back body drop but Trill sunset flips off of it. Trill hits back elbows and double stomps his back. Trill low dropkicks him for 2. Trill neckbreakers Lewis. Trill throws his shirt into the crowd. Trill top rope swantons.

Lewis stunners him over the top rope. Lewis tilt-a-whirl backbreakers him for 2. Lewis jackhammers him and pins him.

Thoughts: It wasn't that good. Trill was sloppy, dangerous and just all over the place. You can definitely see why he got cut. Lewis didn't really get to do all that much here.

Booker says they did good. He says Trill needs to watch his body language. He says he was slipping on the back body drop to the apron spot and it's not going to cut it. Trill says that comes with being bouncy. Booker says Trill is blown up after 5 minutes and Trill blames his skin color and the heat. Lewis says they executed right and could have done some things better. He says he's tired of things being overproduced.

Lewis complains to Bubba and says Booker scratched everything he did. Bubba says he didn't do anything wrong. Lewis says there's too many hands on what he wants to do. He says he's tired of people acting like he isn't the top prospect. 

Overall thoughts: It was the usual LFG. I didn't like Tate/Romeo that much. Diggs/Holiday was one of the better matches of the season and they had a nice story going in their match. Trill London had a bad night and his match with Lews wasn't that good. Diggs/Holiday might be worth a look but not much else here. There's just only so much that can be done with the format while keeping it wrestling related. It's not awful or anything, just it's not a must see show.
