Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2026/08/nwa-powerrr-882026.html
Joe Galli, Danny Dealz and Tim Storm are on commentary.
Grudge Match - El Dragon Nihan vs Thom Latimer
Drag has Brandon McCord with him.
Thom runs in and hits lariats. Drag no sells them and blocks his slam attempt. Thom running dropkicks Drag out of the ring. Thom goes after McCord then hits punches on Drag. Drag uppercuts him and is pushed into the post. Thom tries a splash against the post but Drag moves and Thom goes face first into it.
They get in and Drag superkicks him. Drag gets a 2 count on him then corner splashes him. Drag runs at him, Thom gets out and Drag stops himself. Drag misses an elbow drop. Thom top rope crossbodies him. McCord gets on the apron and gets in the ring. Thom pop up powerbombs McCord. Drag chokeslams him for 2.
The Collection come to help McCord. Drag gets stuck up top and Thom powerbombs him down. Thom then pins him.
Thoughts: If you were looking for some knockdown, drag-out affair with weapons and stuff, this wasn't it. What we get didn't look all that good and it was a simple match. Thom even won mostly clean which maybe shouldn't have happened vs the bigger Nihan. It was average.
Mike Mondo works out in the back as Aron Stevens hypes him up.
It's Me...The Carson Drake Experience
Carson talks to Lockjaw Drake and Buster. Buster says they are doing good and Lock tells him to be quiet. Carson says he knows Buster, Buster says he's a new star and Lock tells him to stop talking. Buster tries to talk again and again and Lock stops him again and again.
Carson says he's facing PB Smooth in a #1 Contender's match for the NWA Title next week. He says PB and Silas Mason don't have what it takes to be NWA champ, but he does. He says PB will learn that he can't beat him.
Kyle Davis interviews Silas Mason in the ring and asks what's on his mind. Silas says he's been all over the city trying to find Kerry Morton. He says he went to South and East Atlanta. He says Kerry knocks when he gets his hand on him, he will knock his eye more crooked that his real dad Robert Gibson. He says Kerry can run but can't hide from the thrill ride.
The Country Gentlemen do a video pretending to be in France with bad filters. AJ says they are in The Netherlands. Joe says the tag titles will be defended tonight and says everything they do is 100% by the book.
Ricky and Kerry Morton talk. Ricky says Silas should be careful what he wishes for as it may happen next week. Kerry says if Silas wants it, he can get it. Kerry says when he steps in the ring, they all love him. He says Silas has gotten under his skin and he will make an example of him next week. He says he has him as his insurance policy if things go south. He then tells him to picture him as NWA World Champ.
Colby Corino vs Axton Ray
Ax hammerlocks him and CC side headlocks him. Ax shoulders him over. CC then shoulders him over. They trade wristlocks. CC armdrags him into a pin attempt. CC headscissors Ax into the ropes then rolls him into a pin off of that. CC rolls him into a double stomp to the gut.
CC chops Ax and Ax chops back. Ax flips over him off the top. Ax ducks al ariat and Ax pop up tilt-a-whirl backbrekers him for 2. Ax dropkicks him. Ax enzugiri's him in the corner and standing moonsaults him for 2.
CC's head is banged off the top rope. They get on the apron and CC kind of STO's him on the apron. CC top rope swantons him. CC forearms and chops him. CC flying forearms Ax. CC standing inverted flip dives him for 2. Ax up kicks him and CC rebound lariats him. Ax blue thunders CC for 2. CC superkicks him then northern lights bombs him. CC pins him.
Thoughts: It was an even match here. Corino didn't impress. He didn't look like he had his usual strength and was definitely taking things lightly. Axton had a good showing as usual and I'm glad to see he's being used regularly. It was that a little below average.
The Pope, Mims and The Light do a promo. Pope said he had Carnage where he wanted him last week. He said he didn't need help but The Light always has folks' back. Pope says he will send The Light with Mims to take on The Royal Court. Pope says Mims will make them believe.
The King's Court is in the ring with the wizard guy from last week. Trevor sits in a throne and says he's the king of pro wrestling. Trev says no victory or defeat has been without Mike Knox's sacrifice. He says they shed blood and sweat and says Knox is truly his brother. He says he gives him the highest honor he can give one man and calls him "Sir Michael, Duke of Knox".
Trev says the wizard guy has shadows behind him and says he fears no dead. He says he can bend the wheel of nature and could black out the son if he demanded it. He says his name is "Jacob, The Necromancer" (this appears to be "Magic" Jake Dumas). He says Jacob saw the future in his crystal ball. He says he saw a man with no fear and with a man with knowledge of this kingdom. He then says Tyler Frank is now "Squire Franks". The crowd chants "Burger King". Trev says they are The Royal Court.
Effy does a promo. He says he faces Kratos next week and will show him and the NWA how wild it gets when he puts his heart into it.
The Slimeballz talk. They blame each other for losing The US Tag Titles. They then spit on each other. They spit in their hands and slap each other. They then wrestle on the grand and Sage bites him. Sage tickles him. Sage says let's go see if The Hardway will give them the title back.
Mims and The Light vs The Royal Court (King Trevor, Sir Michael and Squire Franks)
Joe Galli says he doesn't know The Light's names. This is The Light's NWA debut.
Trev and Mims lock up. Trev shoves him from behind. Mims punches Trev on an armwringer. Trev's buddies complain. Trev punches Mims in the corner and stomps him. Franks euros Mims then he dropkicks him.
Franks does some gestures. Mims corner splashes him and backsplashes him. Mims side slams Franks and splashes him for 2. Light #1 hits Franks in the arm. The Light double japanese armdrag Franks. Franks is kicked in the back and Light #2 2nd rope euros him in the back. #1 kneeling swantons Franks.
Mims hits Franks in the gut then back elbows him. Mims chinlocks Franks then knees him in the gut. Franks spinning backhands Mims and jumping knees him. Mike comes in and beats up his opponents. A Light member takes a Mike facekick. Mike corner splashes Light and Mims. Mims is thrown own. Mike kind of trips and splashes Light in the corner. Mike crossbodies Light.
Jacob the Necromancer spits mist in Mims' eyes outside. Light takes a high/low and loses a shoe from it. Trev hits a nice ddt on a Light and pins him.
Thoughts: This was The Light's debut and The Court's debut as a team. Both teams could have used a win and The Court won. It was average and mostly just put over The Court. The Light were mostly treated as jobbers here.
Bryan Idol does a promo. He asks if we can imagine him taking on Mike Mondo. He says we don't have to as it comes up next. He says Mondo told him he doesn't have the skill or the guts to face him and he says Mondo's mouth wrote a check his body can't cash. Idol says looks kill and so does he.
NWA National Title - Mike Mondo (c) vs Bryan Idol
They hockey fight to start. Idol takes him down and they both hit mounted shots. Idol flying knees Mike in the corner and chops him. Idol double underhook suplexes him. Idol is sent chest first into the buckles and shoulder first into the post.
Mike slams Idol for 2 then elbow drops him. Mike chinlocks him. Idol forearms him on the apron. Idol then spears him off the apron onto the floor. Mike pulls Idol out then Idol pulls him out.
They trade shots in the ring and Mike hits a snapmare driver for 2. Idol superkicks him. Idol misses a double jump moonsault. Mike jumps off the top and goes face first into Idol's feet. Idol hits a bad oblivion for 2.
Mike superkicks Idol in the gut and jumping knees him. Idol blocks a fireman's carry gutbuster and jack knifes him. Idol pins him.
Thoughts: Rumors say Idol is booking the NWA so that may explain why he won here. Mike didn't get that many big matches here and I don't think they got the most of the reign. The match was alright enough but didn't get a ton of time.
Slade and Mondo beat up Idol after as Aron Stevens cheers them on. Idol takes a double ddt on a title belt. Mondo and Slade take the ref's belt. Mondo whips Idol with it. Idol rolls out and Idol's mom checks on him. Mike gets up in Idol's mom's face and pushes her into people.
Overall thoughts: Nihan/Thom was underwhelming and very simple. Corino/Axton Ray was a little blow average. The Royal Court's match was average and the main event was alright. I'd give it a 5 out of 10 overall as it was average.
