Taisei Nakahara & Toru Yano vs. Unbound Co. (Gedo & OSKAR)
Yano and Gedo take a while to get going. Gedo leaves, Yano takes a off a corner pad and Oskar gets in. Os boots Yano in the gut. Yano hits him from behind then Os shoulders him over. Os stomps Yano. Gedo eye rakes Yano with his foot then fist drops him.
Gedo stomps Yano. Gedo eye pokes him and Yano atomic drops him. Tai and Os get in. Tai hits forearms then dropkicks him twice. Os chops Tai down. Os goes into the exposed buckle and Tai rolls him up for 2. Tai dropkicks him then Os back body drops him. Os camel clutches Tai and submits him.
Thoughts: It was short and not much of note here. Yano screwed around and Gedo only got a few things in. It was a waste of time. Tai had some decent dropkicks here.
Aaron Wolf & Tatsuya Matsumoto vs. United Empire (Callum Newman & Zane Jay)
Tat and Zane push each other before the bell. CN then pushes both opponents. CN eye rakes him. Wolf shoulder throws him. CN takes a double boot then a double shoulderblock. Tat low euros CN for 2. CN back elbows him then kicks him in the back. Zane top rope clubs Tat on the head.
Tat dropkicks him in the knee for 1 then leglocks him. Zane ropebreaks. Zane thesz presses Tat and hits mounted shots. Zane chokes Tat. Zane eye rakes Tat then Tat dropkicks him. Wolf shoulders CN over hard. CN boots both opponents out of the corner. Wolf throws CN by the arm. CN facekicks Wolf then Wolf uranage's him. Tat water wheel drops CN for 2.
Zane back elbows Wolf then Wolf powerslams him. Tat rolls up CN for 2 and dropkicks him. CN lariats Tat, knees him in the face and underhook suplexes him for the win.
Thoughts: It was shorter and not that bad. Newman showed some effort here and Wolf was decent as the power guy.
House Of Torture (Dick Togo & Ren Narita) vs. Unbound Co. (Daiki Nagai & Drilla Moloney)
DM side headlock takeovers Ren. DM wristlocks him. Ren side headlocks him. DM top wristlocks him. Togo boots DM in the corner. Ren is tripped into Togo's crotch. DM backdrops Ren for 2. Ren takes a double shoulderblock. Togo takes a double suplex. Ren is double back elbowed then takes a double elbow drop.
Nagai corner dropkicks Ren for 2. Ren rams Nagai into the exposed buckle. Togo hits Nagai outside then sends him into the rails. Togo bangs Nagai's head off the apron. Nagai is slammed and Togo slingshot swantons him.
Togo stomps Nagai and running back elbows him. Togo 2nd rope swantons Nagai for 2. Nagai dropkicks Togo. Ren double axe handles Nagai off the buckles. Nagai slams Togo onto Ren and Nagai gets a 2 count on Ren. Ren takes running corner attacks. Nagai goes up top and Ren pushes the ref into the ropes, crotching Nagai. Nagai is up top, Ren stands on the mat and exploders him down. Ren pins him.
Thoughts: Nagai and DM weren't a bad team here. House of Torture didn't do too many shenanigans here. It was nothing special though.
United Empire (HENARE & Jakob Austin Young) vs. TMDK (Hartley Jackson & Zack Sabre Jr.)
Zack cravates Hen and side headlocks him. They trade forearms and Zack gets dropped. Zack facekicks him and Hen shoulders him over. Zack headbutts him in the gut and hits euros. Hen shoulders Zack over.
Hen stomps Zack and clubs him. Hen facelocks Zack then stomps him. Jake chops Zack in the corner and does facewash kicks. Jake spits on him and chinlocks him. Jake pulls his arms back. Zack pulls his arms back then twists his head with his feet.
Hart corner splashes Jake and lariats him down. Hen and Hart trade forearms and chops. They shoulderblock battle. Hen hits him in the gut. Hart takes corner attacks. Jake shining wizard's Hart. Hen full nelson's him and Zack does an octopus to him.
Hen samoan drops him. Jake enzugiri's him and shiranui's him. Hart sentons Jake. Hart sitout powerbombs him and pins him.
Thoughts: It was too short to be anything of note. Hart and Hen's little section wasn't bad and I'd be up for that one.
G1 Climax 2026 Block A Match - Jake Lee vs. Ryohei Oiwa
Lee is action normal here today. Jake side headlocks him, Oiwa armdrags him and is headscissored. Jake kicks him in the back and armlocks him. Jake knees him in the gut. Oiwa dropkicks him in the knee. Oiwa bangs Jake's knees off the mat.
Oiwa armdrags him and Jake holds on with an armlock. Jake shoulders him over. Oiwa bangs Jake's knee off the mat. Oiwa figure fours Jake. Jak ropebreaks. Jake sells his leg and Oiwa clips him. Jake knees Oiwa in the face. Jake slams him.
Jake armlocks him. Oiwa backdrops him. Oiwa corner splashes him and dragon screws him. Oiwa slams him then top rope falling splashes him for 2. Oiwa lariats him over for 1. They butt heads and trade forearms.
Oiwa dragon screws him. Jake is sent into the post. JAke seems to put lipstick on? Jake gets back up and sends Oiwa into the rails. Jake chest kicks him and drops a rail on him in the crowd. Jake knees him in the chest.
They go back in. Jake backdrops him. Jake misses a corner kick and Oiwa rolls him up for 2. Jake high kicks him down. Jake hits forearms and Oiwa does 2 dragon screws. Oiwa grabs the leg and Jake ropebreaks. Oiwa ankle locks him and pulls Jake's leg's backwards Jake submits.
Thoughts: It was nice to see Jake take a match somewhat seriously here and that's an improvement over his usual nonsense. It was somewhat watchable at least but nothing too great.
G1 Climax 2026 Block A Match - SANADA vs. Konosuke Takeshita
KT backs up San on the ropes. KT hammerlocks him and is tripped into a side headlock. KT puts his own side headlock on. San gets shouldered over. KT leg lariats him. KT throws him down by the arm and armlocks him. KT yanks on the arm then chops him. San dropkicks KT in the knee.
San butt drops his leg. San kneebreakers him over his knee and dropicks him in the knee. San elbow drops KT's leg. San pulls on the leg and KT ropebreaks. KT facekicks him. KT hits punches and flying lariats him.
KT hits a blue thunder variation on San for 2. San drpkicks him in the knee and chest. San slingshot plancha's him outside. KT exploders him. San hits a magic screw for 2. They trade shots. San hits punches on KT. KT hits forearms back. San backrolls him for 2.
San 2nd rope moonsaults him and dragon sleepers him. San shining wizards him. KT pumping knees him and San falcon arrows him. San top rope moonsaults him for 2. San dropkicks him in the knee. San blocks KT's bridge and does skull end. KT package tombstones him and hits a wheelbarrow german off of it. KT pumping knees him for 2.
San cradles him for 2 then shining wizards him. KT hits a spinning ddt then falcon arrows him for the win.
Thoughts: It was an okay bout here. There was no shenanigans from Sanada and they just had a straight match. There was nothing wrong with this one and they worked pretty well together.
G1 Climax 2026 Block A Match - Great-O-Khan vs. Yota Tsuji
Yota poses on the ropes and is hit with a turnbuckle pad. Khan sends him shoulder first into the exposed buckle. Yota is then sent shoulder first into the post. Khan chairs a chair into Yota's arm against the turnbuckle connectors. Khan sits on his neck on the buckles. Khan throws him down by the arm and stomps him.
Khan trips him. Khan stomps Yota. Yota hits forearms and Khan forearms him back. Yota drives Khan's face into the mat. Yota flying headscissors him then topes him into the rails.
Yota baseball slides him off the apron. Yota 2nd rope moonsaults him. Yota then sits on Khan's neck on the buckles and does his pose. Yota flying pumping knees him in the corner. Khan kicks him in the gut and does a shoulder claw to him. Khan dumps him over the top rope.
Khan sends Yota into the seats. Khan chairs Yota. Khan goes back to the shoulder claw. Khan mongolian chops the arm then takes a curbstomp combo. Yota grans Khan by the hair then Khan back body drops him. Khan face claws him.
Yot stunners him. Khan euros Yota's arm. Yota headbutts him in the chest and lariats him. Yota sit out chokeslams him for 2. Yota cubrstomps him. Yota's shoulder is sent into the exposed buckle. Yota goes for a spear but the ref is pushed into the way. Khan low blows Yota, goes for a chokeslam and Yota ddt's him.
Khan punches Yota in the arm and Yota spears him. Yota running spears him twice and pins him.
Thoughts: It was alright. Khan worked the shoulder and Yota overcame it to win. It wasn't anything great and wasn't the most exciting, but at least there was a story to it.
G1 Climax 2026 Block A Match - Hirooki Goto vs. Oleg Boltin
They lock up and Oleg backs him up on the ropes. They repeat the spot and Goto clean breaks him. Oleg side headlocks him. They shoulder battle and Goto knocks him over. Oleg suplexes him and Goto goes out. They trade chops. Oleg slams him then splashes him for 2.
Oleg half-crabs him and Goto ropebreaks. Oleg forearms him down. They forearm each other. Goto hits chops and is rammed in the corner. Oleg hits corner spears. Oleg running lariats him twice and drops him. Goto spinning heel kicks him in the corner and backdrops him for 2.
Goto forearms him then Oleg belly to belly suplexes him. Oleg corner splashes him then karelin's lifts him. Oleg vader bombs him for 2. Goto ushigoroshi's him. They lariat each other. Goto hits a rverse GTR. Goto sleepers him.
Goto PK's him. Oleg finlay rolls him for 2. Oleg powerbombs him for 2. Goto sleepers him and Oleg rams him into the buckles. Goto gets on his back and bridging final cuts him for 2. Goto rolls him up for 2. Goto headbutts him and is dropkicked.
They lariat each other and Goto spinning heel kicks him. Goto GTR's him and pins him.
Thoughts: It's a shame it didn't get more time as it was going well and needed a bit more to get to being really good. What we got was okay. Oleg really needs to work on showing more emotion, spirit and personality though as some of that was lacking here.
G1 Climax 2026 Block A Match - Shingo Takagi vs. Yuto-Ice
Shingo knees Ice in the gut. They butt heads and pull each other by the hair. Ice slaps him. Shingo goes out and throws a chair in. Ice leg kicks him. Shingo hits forearms in the corner then Ice fires back. They trade forearms.
Ice running facekicks him. Ice hits kicks to the back. Ice forearms and foot chokes him in the corner. Shingo running lariats him then shoulders him over. They go into the aisle. Shingo forearms him there and sends him into the rails. They trade forearms there and Ice's head is banged off seats. Shingo hits him with a chair.
Ice hits forearms and slaps him while he's seated. Shingo bangs Ice's head off the table. Shingo lariats him from behind and Ice's head is banged off another table. Ice is sent into the post. Shingo elbow drops him and sentons him. Shingo suplexes him.
Shingo hits punches. Ice throws him down backwards by the hair. Ice hits knees to the gut in the corner. Ice running knees him. Shingo blocks a PK and dragon screws Ice. Shingo knee drops the knee. Ice boots him in the head. They trade facekicks or chops. Shingo punches him. Ice lariats Shingo down. Ice PK's him for 2. Shingo twisting neckbreakers him. Shingo ddt's him.
They fight on the buckles. Shingo superplexes him down. Shingo running lariats him. They trade lariats for chest kicks. Shingo backdrops him then running lariats him. Shingo hits a made in Japan for 2. Ice buzzsaw kicks him.
Shingo punches him in the face. Ice high kicks him and low pump kicks him for 2. Ice chest kicks him down then brainbusers him for 2. Shingo lariats him for 2. Shingo sliding forearms him in the head then hits a burning dragon. Shingo running lariats him for 2.
Ice leg kicks him. They trade shots and headbutt each other. Shingo hits forearms. Ice slaps him around. They punch each other and headbutt each other at the same time. Ice knees him in the chest and pins him.
Thoughts: It was an okay bout. I thought it should have gone a little longer and they needed a couple more big moves to put this over the top. A little more energy and selling from Ice would have also helped this one out.
Ice then talks on the mic after.
Overall thoughts: I liked Wolf's match on the undercard but the other undercard matches weren't that good. Lee/Oiwa was watchable. Sanada/Takeshita was a straight bout and it was okay. Khan/Yota was fine and made sense. Goto/Oleg was also okay as was the main event. I'd give this a 6 out of 10 overall as we had some decent G1 matches here. It was an okay show.
