Continental Cup Quarterfinal Match - Orange Cassidy vs Kyle O'Reilly

OC puts his sunglasses on Kyle instead of pounding his fist. Kyle side headlock takeovers him and OC headscissors him. OC side headlock takeovers him. OC tries a pin on him and gets a 2 count on him. They trade waistlocks. OC drops down to get out and rests on the mat. Kyle side headlocks him. OC flying amrdrags him. OC boots him out of the ring with his hands in his pockets. OC then does a roll with his hands in his pockets.

Kyle rolls and does karate poses. Kyle side headlocks him. Kyle dragon screws him over the 2nd rope. OC goes out and Kyle holds the ropes open for him to get in with. Kyle suplexes him and OC suplexes him back. OC suplexes him and we go to PiP break.

We return from break. Kyle suplexes him then OC suplexes him back. They suplex each other again. They trade shots. OC superkicks him and Kyle rebound lariats him. Kyle jumping knees him, axe kicks him and goes for the armbar. OC hits leg kicks. Kyle guillotine chokes him and OC falcon arrows him for 2. 

OC spinning ddt's him for 2. OC misses a dive off the top and is rolled up for 2. Kyle legsweeps him. OC PK's him. Kyle ankle locks him. Kyle goes to stomp him and OC kind of begs off. OC cradles him then Kyle grounded ankle locks him. OC taps out quick.

Thoughts: They had the logic of the friend vs friend match down and they didn't try to hurt each other bad. But it also had the usual OC issue where he fools around in even the most important matches, like this tournament match. That brought this down for me. 

We see a Nigel McGuinness interview from after Dynamite while he's in the trainer's room. Will Ospreay comes in. Will asks him how he feels and he says overwhelmed. He says he doesn't know what he will do in Glasgow. Will says Nigel paved the way for him and he has more faith in Nigel winning his match than he has his match. Nigel says Will has an opportunity that won't happen again. Nigel says Will has to do what every British wrestler couldn't do - win the World Title in England. He says everyone will watch him. 

AEW Women's Tag Titles Eliminator Match - Divine Dominion (Megan Bayne and Lena Kross) vs Erica Leigh and Tiara James

The jobbers double team Meg to start. Meg double germans them together. Meg and Lena hit stereo corner splashes. The jobbers are sent into each other and takes lariat down. Meg tells The Brawling Birds to watch and learn. Lena and Meg shove each other then sandwich lariat Tiara. Tiara takes a hart attack variation. Tiara takes a double chokeslam and is pinned.

Thoughts: It was a short squash and not much else here. 

Jack Perry talks about Swerve. He says he respects what he thinks. He says what better place than Glasgow to face Swerve. He says it's kill or be killed and puts a knife in a board.

Continental Cup Quarterfinal Match - Claudio Castagnoli vs Daniel Garcia

We see an inset with DG's promo from last night about this match.

CC backs him up in the corner. CC side headlock takeovers him. CC waistlock takedowns him. DG shoves him around. DG backslides him for 2. DG rolls him up CC forearms him. DG euros him and CC hits chops. DG dragon screws him over the 2nd rope. CC sits in a chair outside and DG forearms him. DG running corner dropkicks him. 

DG euros him over the rail, drops him throat first over it and dumps him over the rail. We go to PiP break and return. CC hits corner spears on him. CC euros him in the corner several times and boots him. CC hits a flurry of shots in the corner. 

DG rolls him up for 2 and facekicks him. DG corner lariats him and hits mounted corner punches. DG rolls him into a sharpshooter. DG gets on his back with a sleeper. DG giant swings him. DG leg lariats him. CC double knee drops DG's leg. 

CC euros DG. DG gets on his back with a sleeper. CC kicks him in the leg and running euros him. DG sleepers him again. DG neutralizers CC for 2. CC pop up euros him for 2. CC sharpshooters DG. DG gives him the finger and spits at him. CC takes off DG's leg shoe. CC single leg giant swings DG. 

CC running euros him for 2. CC euros him down and double stomps him. CC powerbombs him then sharpshooters him. DG submits.

Thoughts: It was a little long and slow but it was an alright match here. They stole each other's moves and had a technical battle with various strikes thrown in. DG worked the sleeper and CC worked the leg some before submitting him with a leg submission. 

The Dog's do a video. Finlay says he wants Jay White's head. Gabe says this isn't who they are. Gabe says he's watching two killers p!ss around. He says there's an open challenge for the trios titles and says they are them dogs for real at Wembley.

The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin) and Lee Moriarty vs Ryan O'Neill, Nick Nolan and Ryan Mako

SB overhead throws Mako and release germans him. SB tags in Bobby over Lee and Lee isn't pleased. SB and Bobby throw 2 jobbers in from the apron. SB step up knees Ryan. Bobby spinebusters Ryan. SB sends Nolan into the apron and rails. Bobby spears Nolan outside. 

Lee is tagged in and The Hurt's leave. MVP says time's up and tells Lee to handle his business. Lee topes Mako. Lee drops Mako onto his chest and submits him with a border city stretch.

Thoughts: It was a short one with the jobbers getting nothing in before losing. The Hurt's again left before the match was over.

STP gets in the ring after. Shane says that's what they are talking about and says none of the people in PA know what greatness looks like. Shane says Lee is what greatness looks like as he's been Pure champ for 2 years. He says greatness is them becoming the greatest trios champs of all time. He then issues an open challenge.  

The Bang Bang Gang (Jay White, Austin Gunn and Colten Gunn) vs Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor, Carlie Bravo and Shawn Dean)

Austin grabs CB's arm then Jay takes CB down by the arm. Jay chops CB. Colten yanks on CB's arm. Colt is triple teamed in the corner. Colt is slapped from behind then takes a neckbreaker. Austin blind tags in, sweeps Dean and bangs his face off the mat. Austin hits punches on CB and drops him. Shane comes in and lariats Austin down.

We go to PiP break and return. Austin takes a 2nd rope punch + side slam. Austin takes corner attacks. Dean bronco busters Austin and Bravo takes some awful jokes outside. Austin tags Colt in. Colt hits punches on the heels. Colt eurostep neckbreakers Dean then dropkicks CB. Shane lariats Colt down.

Shane misses a corner splash. Jay hits chops on him. Jay hits running forearms on him and boots him out of the corner. Jay hits chops on him. Shane overhead throws Jay. Shane corner lariats Jay. Shane misses a vader bomb. Jay dragon screws Dean. CB is ddt'd. Shane takes a 310 to Yuma. Jay bladerunners CB and pins him.

Thoughts: The Gang won as expected. It was a random one and what we got was fine here. 

Jay asks for guns up after the match. He says they are gunslingers and Collision cowboys. Jay says The Dogs got the best of him. Jay says the trios belts don't belong to Page's team as they never officially lost them. Jay says if you want to shoot, they will knock them all down as they coming for the gold.

The Conglomeration is interviewed. Kyle says he knew the tournament would test him and he had to fight his two best friends. He says the tournament is his for the taking and Nigel McGuinness stands between him and the final. Willow talks about her history at All In. She says she's looking forward to talking in as champ. She says nothing will stop her from her Wembley dream. She say she hopes Mercedes is watching and she'll have a smile for her.

We get a video on Kenny vs Will.

Nick Wayne does an inset promo. He says he's the hot topic in wrestling. He says he wants his number called in the Casino Gauntlet. Ciampa interrupts. He says this is business and we aren't a team. He says the same rules apply at All In.

Mike Bailey and Komander do an inset promo. Mike says they will go do what they do best and take out the competition. Kom talks in Spanish.

Tommaso Ciampa and Nick Wayne vs Komander and Mike Bailey

Mike waistlocks TC and takes a back elbow. Mike hits a kick combo on TC and both fall down. Nick comes in and stomps Mike. Mike kicks Nick down. Kom top rope diving armdrags Nick. Kom walks up the ropes and springboard dives on Nick. Kom and Mike hit stereo flying headscissors then hit stereo dropkicks. The faces then hit stereo topes. 

We go to PiP break and return. Kom hits leg kicks on Nick. Kom cradles him for 2. Mike bangs Nick's head off the buckles. Mike top rope dropkicks Nick. Mike facekicks TC on the apron. Mike hits kicks on Nick and drops him. Mike running ssp's Nick for 2. 

Nick dragon suplexes Mike hard on his neck. TC comes in and facekicks Mike. Mike stand moonsault double knee drops TC. Kom trips Nick then walks up the ropes and springboard splashes him. TC running knees Kom. Mike hits a kick combo on TC. Mike 2nd rope triangle moonsaults TC outside. Kom springboard diving canadian destroyers Nick for 2. 

Nick rolls up Kom with his feet on the ropes for 2. TC goes for Kom's mask. Nick superkicks Kom then fisherman busters him. Nick pins Kom.

Thoughts: It was the usual indy Nick Wayne match with canadian destroyers not even being enough put ol' Nick down. They kind of rushed through the second half of this. Mike took a nasty dragon suplex on his beck.

TC pushes Nick down after.

The Death Riders are in the back. Yuta complains about the Cup drawing being Claudio vs Mox. Yuta says they can use it as a way to raise the standard. Mox tells him to shut up. Claudio asks who the drawing sucks for? Yuta asks how Garcia's ankle is and he says, "sucks".

Maya World does an inset promo. She says she didn't sleep at all as her dreams could become reality. She says there's only room for one girl on top and it will be her.

AEW Women's Title - Willow Nightingale (c) vs Maya World

This is starting at 9:54PM. 

They lock up and Maya is backed up in the corner then on the ropes. Willow drags her off the lock up. They trade waistlocks. Willow side headlocks her and shoulders her over twice. Willow rolls over her and poses. Mary rolls over her and poses. 

Maya bottom rope springboard diving armdrags her. Willow hits corner lariats on her. Maya bridges out of a lariat, upkicks her and rolls her up for 2. Maya flying headscissors her. Maya crossbodies her off the apron outside.

Willow pounces her inside. We go to PiP break and return. Willow cartwheels off the ropes and step up enzugiri's her. Willow corner lariats her. Willow hits a corner lariat. 

Maya superkicks her in the gut and step up enzugiri's her. Maya flying single leg dropkicks her for 2. Maya handstand headscissors her into the ropes. Maya 619's her. Maya rolls her into a double stomp. Maya spinebusters her for 2. 

Willow boots her out of the corner. Willow 2nd rope dropkicks her. Willow corner cannonballs her for 2. Willow is on the 2nd rope and Maya sunset bombs her down. Maya fallaway slam holds her for 2. Maya spinning forearms her and Willow running lariats her. Maya rolls her up for 2. Willow reverses it then Maya cradles her for 2. Willow backslides her and pins her.

Thoughts: Willow won as expected. Maya wasn't winning here and being in such a big match at a big show. It had a decent pace to it and we had a lot of pin attempts. It wasn't anything great but it was fine.

Overall thoughts: It was almost all in-ring action here. The first hour was tough to get through as the matches were more technical and slower. We had a couple of random matches as usual and various Continental Cup matches. I'd give it a higher 5 out of 10 as some of the wrestling was good enough here to make this an acceptable show.
