Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling Mayhem 8/12/2026

We are in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Don Callis and Mauro Ranallo are our hosts.

Rhino is in the ring. He says he couldn't wait any longer. He says he's here to show why he's still The War Machine. He says to get someone out here so he can rip them in half with a gore.

The 1st Faction are in the back. They say Bryce Hansen has been screwing up and ask if he's scared of Rhino. They then talk him into going out there.

Rhino vs Bryce Hansen

Rhino shoves him in the corner and Bryce goes out to stall. Rhino follows him and is knocked off the apron. Bryce slides out then is punched and chopped. Bryce is backdropped on the apron. Rhino bangs Bryce's head off the buckles and chops him. 

Bryce short arm lariats him. Rhino corner spears him. Rhino misses a corner charge. Bryce hits him and pulls his throat over the top rope. Bryce double axe handles him off the top for 2. Bryce and Rhino trade shots. Bryce back elbows him down. Bryce misses a top rope diving headbutt. Rhino spears him and pins him.

Thoughts: Rhino won as expected. They pushed that Bryce was afraid of Rhino and not in his league. Rhino then won as expected. I don't know if MLP really has to roster to turn people like Bryce into jobbers. It wasn't anything too special.

We get a video with various people talking about Psycho Mike. Everyone then says, "I think I'm in love with The Psycho".

We get a video with an unknown guy talking near a fire. He says strength doesn't come from acceptance but it comes from truth. He says to destroy dear, you have to destroy the version of yourself that created it. He then says, "Rudra".

El Reverso & Mo Jabari vs. Capitan Suicida & Mascara Dorada vs. Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake & Zack Gibson) vs. The Swirl (Blake Christian & Lee Johnson)

Blake gives Dorada the finger. Blake headflips over him. Dorada flips over him and both do handsprings into backflips. Drake clubs on Dorada. Dorada chops him. Cap top rope crossbodies Drake. Cap flying headscissors him.

Dorada is popped up into a flying headscissors on Blake, but Blake headflips out. The Swirl hit kicks on Dorada. Blake springboard diving lariats Dorada. Reverso step up enzugiri's Lee in the corner. Reverso basement dropkicks him after doing an asai moonsaults to Blake. Zack is double lariated over the top. Reverso top rope moonsaults The Vets outside.

We go to break and return. Blake and Drake argue over a tag. Reverso enzugiri's Blake. Mo top rope double dropkicks The Vet's. Mo hits punches on Drake and Blake. Blake facekicks Drake and is atomic dropped into a backdrop from Mo. Drake jawbreakers Mo and Blake superkicks Mo. Dorada top rope double crossbodies Drake and Blake.

Cap top rope dropkicks Drake then MD top rope tornillo armdrags Blake. Blake and Lee hit their corner combo with the 619 and  2nd rope moonsault outside. Droada takes a suplex + handspring corkscrew kick for 2. 

Reverso dropkicks Lee then back springboard kicks Blake. Blake takes a hart attack from Mo and Reverso. Blake is dropkicked into a michinoku driver for 2. 

We get a triple eye rake spot. The Swirl and The Vets double lariat each other down. Mo, Reverso and the luchadores fight. They all superkick each other. Dorada holds the ropes open. Cap topes out and Dorada 2nd rope moonsaults out. 

Dorada handspring cutters Reverso. Reverso takes an electric chair neckbreaker. Dorada top rope 450's Reverso. Cap top rope twisting swantons Reverso and pins him.

Thoughts: It was an okay tag here. It was full of fast action, we got lots of dives and it went the way you'd want it go.

We get a video on Dani Luna's MLP Women's Title match.

Adam Copeland talks about watching wrestling as he grew up. He says Canada has always been a hot bed for wrestling. He says he's contracted to AEW bu MLP and AEW are partners. Adam talks about being able to wrestle in Maple Leaf Gardens and says maybe that's the whole reason for its creation.

Interim MLP Canadian Title / PWA Champion's Grail Title Match - Stu Grayson vs. Rohan Raja

They lock up twice. The ref gets between them and Raja facekicks Stu down. RR stomps Stu and forearms him. Stu flying lariats him then lariats him over the top. We go to break and return.

They fight on the apron. Stu chops and forearms him there. Aurora Teves grabs Stu on the apron. RR pushes Stu into the post. RR stomps Stu and spit in his face. Stu gets mad and hits punches. Stu kips down out of a lariat and pele kicks RR. Stu goes for a springboard and Aurora Teves trips him on the ropes. The ref ejects Teves.

Stu flatliners RR and asai moonsaults him for 2. Stu suplexes RR on the apron. RR forearms him down. We go to break and return. They hockey fight and Stu pounds on him. RR backcrackers Stu for 2. RR black hole slams him for 2. Stu belly to belly overhead suplexes him four times. They headbutt each other and Stu hits 2 more belly to belly suplexes. Stu springboard triangle ddt's him on the apron. Stu top rope 450's him for 2.

Stu top rope superplexes him. Stu jumps at him and is flapjacked. RR STF's him and rolls onto his back. RR backslides him for 2. Stu flying pumping knees him three times. Stu torture rack backbreakers him and pins him.

Thoughts: It was alright. It got a lot of time to play out and maybe a little too much. Stu was the fiery face and RR was a typical heel for the most part and there was no great logic past that. The crowd was into it which helped things. 

Overall thoughts: It was maybe the best edition of MLP yet. There wasn't much comedy and two of the three matches were okay bouts. Rhyno/Bryce was essentially a squash. The tag match had all kinds of flying and fast paced action and it was what you would want it to be. The main was fine, got a lot of time and had a hot crowd. I'd give it a 6 out of 10 overall and I thought it was a good show.
