Stardom 8/18/2026 5★STAR Grand Prix 2026 Day 15

Aya Sakura and Sayaka Kurara talk before the match. Kikyo Furusawa and Rian interrupt. Aya gets upset. Rian and Kikyo point at them and do some kind of tag line and pose. They leave and Aya/Kurara talk more after.

5STAR Grand Prix 2026 Blue Stars Quarter Final Match - Starlight Kid vs HANAKO

Hana nails her as she poses on the ropes and fallaway slams her. Hana corner splashes her and running facekicks her. Hana lariats her over the top. Hana pounds on her on the floor then rams her back into the post. Hana slams Kid.

Hana slams Kid in the ring for 2. Hana crabs her and Kid ropebreaks. Hana face shoves her and stomps her. Kid is popped up and she dropkicks her. Kid top rope plancha's her outside. 

Kid dropkicks her in the knees on the apron. Kid walks on her then bangs her knee off the mat. Kid does a dragon screw variation on Hana. Kid standing moonsaults her knee. Hana head and arm chokes Kid. Kid's springboard is caught and Hana suplexes her. 

Kid cradles her for 2. Hana counters a stretch muffler and bangs Kid's face off the mat. Kid dragon screws. Hana sleepers her then head and arm chokes her. Hana swinging drops her off of it. Hana electric chair drop her for 2. Kid code red's Hana for 2. Kid then stretch mufflers her. Kid top rope moonsaults but Hana gets her knees up. Hana sells her knee after. Hana lariats Kid down. Hana blocks a momo latch and powerbombs her for 2. Hana lariats her down. 

Kid reverse dragon screws her twice. Kid goes up top and top rope moonsaults Hana's leg. Kid stretch mufflers Hana. Kid rolls her to keep the hold on then hooks her head with her leg. Hana taps.

Thoughts: I thought it was a good match. Kid worked the knee as usual and tapped her out with a hold focusing on that. Hana used her size against her and powerbombed her down hard. The logic was good and they did a nice job with this.her. Hana facekicks Kid. Hana 2nd rope superplexes her for 2. 

5STAR Grand Prix 2026 Red Stars Quarter Final Match - AZM vs Saya Iida

They shake hands and AZM tries to cradle her off of it. AZM takes her down from behind and rolls her up for 2. AZM sweeps her and basement dropkicks her. AZM snapmares her and kicks her in the back twice.

AZM running dropkicks her on the ropes for 2. They trade chest forearms. AZM stomps her. Saya flying double axe handles her chest. Saya running back elbows her and elbow drops her for 2. Saya chops her. AZM dropkicks her off the buckles from behind. 

Saya double boots her out of the corner. AZM cranks Saya's arm back. AZM buzzsaw kicks her for 2. AZM suplexes her. Saya rolls her into a suplex. AZM la mistica drops her. AZM Tries to roll her up but Saya counters it for 2. Saya spinebusters her. Saya 2nd rope elbow drops her for 2. Saya does a final cut variation for 2.

AZM canadian destroyers her for 2. Saya rolls her up for 2. AZM pulls her arms back. Saya lariats her down. AZM high kick her. Saya lariats her for 2.  Saya brainbusters her twice for the win.

Thoughts: It was acceptable. It was mostly just a faster paced match without a big story or anything. AZM got her usual stuff in and Saya did her elbows and lariats.

They shake hands after.

5STAR Grand Prix 2026 Blue Stars Quarter Final Match - Hanan vs Ruaka

Han dropkicks her and is shouldered over. Ruaka throws her out and sends her into the seats. They trade forearms. Han hits a flurry of them and Ruaka rakes her eyes. Han gets on the 2nd rope and is pushed down to the floor. 

Han forearms her outside then fameassers her on the floor. Han 2nd rope crossbodies her outside. Han running euros her for 2. Ruaka distracts her and straight punches her. Han running low euros her for 2. Han tries a cuty special but Ruaka falls on her. Ruaka crossfaces her. Han ropebreaks.

Ruaka crossbodies her against the bottom rope for 2. Ruaka misses a 2nd rope splash. Han leg lariats her. Ruaha fisherman suplexes her. Han no sells it then fallaway slams her. They trade forearms. Ruaka flurries her and drops her to big cheers.

Ruaka is sent to the apron. Han piledrivers her over the 2nd rope. Han deadfall ddt's her for 2. Ruaka hits Han with a box. Ruaka double arm chokeslams her for 1. Han backdrops her twice for 2. Ruaka sliding lariats her from behind for 2.

Ruaka 2nd rope splashes her for 2. Han la magistral's her for 2. Han step up enzugiri's her. Ruaka germans her. Ruaka straightjacket germans her and pins her.

Thoughts: Ruaka got cheered here which was kind of amusing. I'm not against her winning. She loses all the time. You gotta throw her a bone sometime. Han didn't sell that good as usual and I'd just say it was average. Ruaka could have been a little better here.

5STAR Grand Prix 2026 Red Stars Quarter Final Match - Rina vs Rina Yamashita

R = Rina, RY = Rina Yamashita

RY offers a handshake, R slaps her hand and spits in her face. R hair throws her twice. R puts her foot in her throat then spits at the ref. RY slams her and hair throws her. RY running corner lariats her for 1.

RY face shoves her and boots her in the face. They trade chest forearms and R goes down. RY stands on her then crabs her. RY blocks a whip shot and forearms her. They each hit forearms and R dropkicks her. 

R does an octopus to her. RY rams her backwards into the corner. R boots her out of the corner and 2nd rope dropkicks her. R running facekicks her on the ropes. R hip throws her. RY suplexes her. They trade forearms on their knees.

RY hits forearms and is facekicked. R rolls her up for 2. R back body drops her then facekicks her. R does an octopus to her and grounds her. R top rope dropkicks her. RY running lariats her. RY jumps off the top and R gets her knees up. R top rope double knee drops her for 2.

RY gets a 2 count on her then superkicks her. RY germans her for 2. R gori bombs her and pins her.

Thoughts: It was okay. It was mostly brawling. These two aren't that different from each other so this one was going to work on some level. They did what they were supposed to in this.

5STAR Grand Prix 2026 Blue Stars Semi Final Match - Ami Sohrei vs Starlight Kid

Kid jumps on her off the 2nd rope before the bell and is caught. Ami fireman's carry throws her over the top onto people. They trade forearms outside. Ami chops her down and rams her back into the apron. 

Ami racks her on the apron. Kid is laid over the top rope connector and Ami splashes her there for 2. Ami half-crabs her and Kid ropebreaks. Ami stomps her then chops her on the ropes. Ami is tripped into the ropes and Kid 619's her there. Kid top rope crossbodies her for 2. 

Kid slaps her. Kid is on the 2nd rope and is pushed over. Kid ddt's her over the 2nd rope and onto the apron. Ami suplexes her. Ami black hole slams her. Ami blue thunders her for 2. Kid no sells it and gets a 2 count on her. Ami misses a corner splash and Kid shiranui's her. 

Kid TTD's her for 2. Kid goes up top and is stopped. They fight on the 2nd rope. Ami 2nd rope blue thunders her for 2. Kid crucifixes her for 2. Kid goes for a momo latch but Ami rolls her up for 2. Ami flying lariats her for 2. Kid top rope moonsaults for 2. Kid forearms her from behind then tiger suplexes her. Kid wins.

Thoughts: There wasn't much of a story here and it was just action. Kid didn't do her work the knee the match here like she had been doing. It was okay enough but nothing too memorable. Both girls put a good effort in.

5STAR Grand Prix 2026 Red Stars Semi Final Match - Maika vs Saya Iida

They shake hands and shoulder battle. Maika shoulders her over. Maika pele kicks her in the arm. Maika hammerlocks her and throws her into the buckles. Maika foot chokes her. Maika hammerlocks her and Saya ropebreaks. Maika kicks the rope into Saya's arm then she stomps her. Say shoulders her over. 

Maika kimura's her and hammerlocks her. Maika running lariats her then Saya running lariats her back. They lariat battle. Maika corner lariats her. Maika 2nd rope superplexes her. They fight on the buckles. Saya 2nd rope superplexes her. They trade forearms. 

They trade chops for forearms. Maika drops her with a forearm and Saya spinebusters her. Saya low diving lariats her. Saya top rope diving shoulderblocks her for 2. 

Saya running corner lariats her. Maika enka otoshi's her for 2. Saya dragon sleepers her. Maika pele kicks the arm. Maika michinoku drivers her twice for 2 counts. Saya rolls her up for 2. Maika boots her in the arm and Saya flying lariats her. Saya brainbusters her then Maika holds on and brainbusters her for 1. 

Maika spinning lariats her. Maika michinoku drivers her for 2. Maika hammerlock michinoku drivers her and pins her.

Thoughts: It was a fun heavyweight match here. There were a lot of lariats, forearms, chops and various slams. They kept the pace up, kept it interesting and they worked together well. I thought this worked out well and was an okay bout. It maybe could have been a few minutes shorter though.

5STAR Grand Prix 2026 Blue Stars Semi Final Match - Ruaka vs. Suzu Suzuki

Suzu trips Ruaka before the bell and throws her into the seats. Suzu hits her with a chair and the ref doesn't care. Ruaka throws Suzu into the seats twice. Suzu hits forearms and hair throws her. Suzu boots her around and Ruaka crossbodies her. Ruaka crossfaces her. Ruaka crossbodies her against the bottom rope for 2. 

They trade chest forearms and forearms to the head. Ruaka distracts her and ddt's her for 2. They trade lariats. Ruaka germans her and Suzu germans her back. They double lariat each other down. Ruaka fisherman suplexes her for 2. 

Suzu headbutts her. Momo Watanabe hits Suzu with a bat and Ruaka double arm chokeslams her for 2. Ruaka 2nd rope splashes Suzu for 2. Suzu hurricanrana's her down off the buckles. Suzu tequila shot's her for 2. Suzu hits kicks to the head. Ruaka pushes Suzu into the ref. Ruaka misses a box shot on Suzu and Suzu hits Ruaka with the box. Suzu germans Ruaka and pins her.

Thoughts: It was an okay bout. Ruaka did her usual splashes and such. Suzu brawled and threw here around. The crowd got into Ruaka possibly pulling off the upset here. Ruaka's underdog story was a fun little thing that worked out well. 

5STAR Grand Prix 2026 Red Stars Semi Final Match - Konami vs. Rina

Kon charges at her and throws her out. Rina is sent into the seats. Kon is then sent into the seats. Rina northern lights suplexes her on the floor. Kon sliding kicks her from the apron. Inside the ring, Kon kicks her in the back for 2. Kon armbars her. 

Rina ropebreaks. Kon knees Rina in the arm. Kon wraps Rina's arm around the top rope. Kon elbows Rina in the arm then stomps the arm into the mat. Kon foot chokes her and kicks her around. Rina hits forearms and is eye raked. Rina shotgun dropkicks her.

Rina running facekicks her on the ropes and basement dropkicks her for 2. Kon armbars her. Rina northern lights supelxes her for 2. Kon rolling armbars her. Kon then does a rings of saturn. Rina ropebreaks.

Kon sliding kicks her on the ropes. Kon fisherman suplexes her for 2. Kon hits chest kicks. Rina hits forearms. Kon high kicks her. Kon spin kicks her in the gut and Rina hip throws her. Rina facekicks her. Rina STO's her then 2nd rope double knee drops her for 2. 

Rina goes up top and is thrown down. Kon single leg basement dropkicks her then diving head kicks her off the top. Kon hammerlocks her. Rina avoids a triangle lancer and gori bomb's her. Rina top rope double knee drops Kon for 2. Rina does a grounded octopus to her. 

Rina top rope dropkicks her. Kon back body drops her and PK's her for 2. Kon sleepers her. Kon germans her for 2. Kon buzzsaw kicks her for 1. Kon sleepers her. Rina forearms her. Kon sleepers her. and grounds her. Kon buzzsaw kicks her for 2. Rina gets a 2 count on her. 

Kon high kicks Rina. Rina flying facekicks her. Rina abdominal stretch bombs her then gori bombs her for 2. Rina top rope dropkicks her. Rina package piledrivers her and pins her.

Thoughts: Kon did almost all arm work and kicks like usual. Rina did a lot of gori bombs and package piledriver attempts before winning with a package piledriver. It was one of Rina's better matches, but I still think she's being way overpushed here. I wouldn't say it was that much different than the usual Rina match, just the crowd was into it and there was something on the line. This was an okay bout here.

Both girls talk on the mic after.  Starlight Kid, Suzu Suzuki and Maika come in after. Maika gets in Kid's face and has words for her. Kid, Suzu and Rina then talk. 

Overall thoughts: Kid/Hanako was the best match on the show and the opener. AZM/Iida was acceptable. Hanan/Ruaka was average. The battle of the Rina's was okay. Kid/Ami was all action but it was okay. Maika/Iida was a fun heavyweight match. Ruaka/Suzu was also okay as was the main. There really wasn't a bad match on the show. The crowd was into this and there was a lot of stakes on the line with everyone in tournament matches. I thought it was one of Stardom's better efforts and the fact that they did it without people like Poi and Anou made it even better. I'd give it a 7 out of 10 overall. It was a good show.
