Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2026/06/mlw-fusion-662026.html
Joe Dombrowski and Tom Lawler are on commentary.
We see clips of Kross' and Riddle's history.
The hosts talk and run down the show's line-up. CONTRA keeps hacking the feed.
MLW World Middleweight Title - KUSHIDA (c) vs Alan Angels
Kush is in his heel attire here and Okumura is with him. Kush trips him then wristlocks him. AA reverses it. Kush armdrags him but AA holds on. Kush monkey flips AA. AA wristlocks him and Kush reverses it. They trade wristlocks and AA throws him by the wrist.
AA dropkicks him. Kush boots AA from the ropes. AA's head is banged off the buckles. AA goes up top and is pushed down to the apron and floor. Okumura then stomps AA outside.
Kush kimura's him outside and AA rams his back into the apron edge. Kush kicks AA in the arm. Kush rakes the area between AA's fingers on the ropes. Kush chops him in the neck for 2. Kush stomps AA then slingshot stomps him. AA avoids him when he tries it so Kush just jumps and hits a double stomp off that.
Kush flying back elbows him. AA boots him out of the corner. Kush bangs AA's arm off his shoulder. AA chops him. AA hiptosses him then cartwheels into a basement dropkick on him. Kush hits kicks to the arm and AA spinning heel kicks him.
AA spin kicks him in the gut then germans him hard on his head. AA top rope splashes Kush for 2. Kush hits kicks to the arm and eye rakes him. Kush tries to low blow him while blocking a german but AA avoids it. AA spin kicks him in the face. Kush sends the ref into AA then enzugiri's him. Kush kicks him in the arm and splits his fingers. Kush then ankle locks him and AA taps out.
Thoughts: Kush mostly worked the arm here en route to victory. Kush took a nasty german on his head. AA did a lot of spin kicks here before going down. Kush's heel tactics are a little forced. It was acceptable.
Kush puts the armbar on him twice after.
Kush gives Okumura a CONTRA shirt after and Okumura accepts it.
Killer Kross does a video from earlier in the week. He says there's more stakes involved in his bout with Riddle and says it won't be the same as other bouts. He says Matt will go for the choke again and so will he. He says they want each other to know that the choke is coming and they can't stop it. He says not taking Matt seriously is a mistake. He says he jokes around but it's a deception. He says Matt has shark eyes when he's laughing. He says Matt likes to joke around but he likes to hurt people. He says in the end, everybody pays the toll, tick tock.
Hammerstone threatens Matt Riddle in the back with a pipe and security stops Hammer. They argue and Matt tells him to get out. Matt says Hammer is next when he's done with Kross. Hammer tells him to watch his back.
Falls Count Anywhere Chicago Street Fight - Josh Bishop vs Matt Justice
MJ throws a trash can in and hits JB with it. JB clubs him on the apron. JB 2nd rope superplexes him on a trash can for 2. JB is bulldogged onto a trash can bottom. JB black hole slams him on the bottom of a trash can for 2. JB chops him and lawn darts him into the post outside. MJ spears him into a table next to the rails. MJ is busted open.
MJ lariats JB over the rail. MJ jumps over the rail and back elbows JB. JB's head is banged off plexiglass then he is sent into a table. MJ drops a table on JB's head.
JB clubs on him outside. MJ chairs him in the head. MJ goes up in the stands and goes up near Don Gato. MJ gets on top of a rail. Don gives him some alcohol to drink. Two tables are set up and JB is on one of them. MJ jumps off the rail, the rail gives out and MJ only hits one of the tables in a very dangerous bump. MJ seems to hit his head off the 2nd table. MJ then gets a 2 count on JB.
JB's head is banged off the rail. JB chairs MJ. They go up in the stands again. JB throws him off the stands with a razor's edge, sending him through a table on the floor. JB pins him.
Thoughts: I can't really put this over. This was a very dangerous match with Matt testing fate twice here. Matt took two bumps off the stands through tables and I do not know how he survived either one. The first one got botched as the rail gave out and he ended up putting himself through the table. The second bump was hit clean but the razor's edge through a table in the stands could have ended very badly. It's not like it was a bad match and the action was absolutely shocking, but I don't want to see anyone get hurt over this stuff. Matt also bled here. This was a wild wild bout that should not be attempted again.
We are told that Hammerstone has been ejected from the building.
They announce that MLW will have an MLW Southern Crown Title. They show us photos of Lawler, The Moondogs and The Midnight Express. Joe says the first champ will be crowned in a bunkhouse stampede match.
Thoughts: MLW doesn't really need another title.
MLW World Title - Killer Kross (c) vs Matt Riddle
Kross has Scarlet Bordeaux with him.
Matt shoots in and KK blocks it. They go to the mat. Matt goes for a choke and KK rolls out. Matt goes for a grounded choke and KK ropebreaks. KK goes for a grounded choke and Matt ropebreaks. KK spanks him.
Matt backs up KK in the corner. KK hits punches and facekicks him. They go out and KK hits forearms. Matt clubs on him on the apron then sentons him three times. KK hits shots to the gut and Matt drops him with a forearm. Matt PK's him.
Matt hits high kicks in the corner. KK corner lariats him. Matt fisherman suplexes him for 2. Matt hits running corner forearms and an exploder. Matt sentons him for 2. They trade forearms and chops. Matt rolling armbars him. KK overhead suplexes him.
KK lariats and back elbows Matt. Matt cutters him. Matt misses a top rope moonsault. KK hits corner strikes. KK death valley drivers him for 2.
KK cutters him for 2. Matt bridge pins him for 2 and knees him in the face. Matt powerbombs him then pumping knees him for 2. Matt corkscrew swantons him for 2. KK puts a choke on him. KK backdrops him then does a choke. Matt drops him backwards to break it up. Matt poses and KK puts the choke back on. Hammerstone runs in, boots Matt and causes the DQ.
Thoughts: The finish was a bit lame but it keeps the Riddle/Kross feud going and builds up Hammer/Riddle. The match was fine and them both going for chokes was a key part to the story.
Hammer powerslams Riddle then trade shots with Kross. He claymore kicks him. Riddle tries to low blow Hammer but is stopped. Hammer throws Riddle over the top. Kross lariats Riddle over the top.
We see a CONTRA video when we are supposed to see Cesar Durant instead. CONTRA says he is gone and asks if we saw how easy they destroyed Mads Krugger. They say Cesar is gone and say CONTRA is everywhere and will strike again and again.
Overall thoughts: The wrestling was all fine here. The opener made sense and was acceptable. The street fight was wild with Matt Justice taking two wild bumps from the stands through tables. That is worth a look for that alone. The main ended on a DQ finish, but the wrestling in it was okay and the DQ was for a reason. It was almost all wrestling here and it was fine. I'd give it a 6 out of 10 and the show was fine. Go see the Justice/Bishop match.
