New Japan Pro Wrestling 6/7/2026 Best of the Super Junior 33 Day 14

Masatora Yasuda, Taisei Nakahara & Tiger Mask vs. Goto Revolutionary Army (Hirooki Goto, Tatsuya Matsumoto & YOSHI-HASHI)

Yasuda and Nagai go at it. They trade headlock takeovers and headscissors. Yasuda shoulders him over. Yasuda gets triple teamed. Goto sends Yasuda into the corner and Tat chops him there. Yasuda and Tat trade shots. Yasuda dropkicks him down. 

Tiger comes in and hits kicks on Tat. Tiger rolls him up for 2. Tiger spin kicks him down. Tiger spin kicks him then Tat dropkicks him. Tiger forward rolls and double kicks Yoshi off of it. Taisei wants in. Tai forearms Yoshi and running forearms him. Yoshi takes corner attacks. Tiger high kicks him and Tai dropkicks him for 2.

Tai crabs him then hits forearms and chops. Yoshi back elbows him then chops him. Yoshi slams him then crabs him. Yoshi submits him.

Thoughts: It as short and not much of note. It didn't get a ton of time. The young lions went at it a little and we didn't see a ton of Goto or Tiger here. 

Tatusya hits shots on Yasuda after. 

El Phantasmo, Jado & Shota Umino vs. United Empire (Francesco Akira, Jake Lee & Jakob Austin Young)

ELP tries to take his shirt off and Young nails him. ELP shoulders Jake over. ELP flying headscissors him. Akira step up enzugiri's ELP. Akira corner lariats him then ELP 2nd rope diving ddt's him. ELP makes Akira reverse ddt's Young when he kicks him in the leg. ELP dropkicks Akira down.

Lee comes in and he has clown facepaint on. Lee is forearmed down. Shota slams Akira then ELP 2nd rope elbow drops him. Young is hit with a double dropkick. Young takes kicks and Jado lariats Young down. They go out and Akira sends ELP hard into the chairs. ELP is pounded on.

Shota is sent into the post. Akira kicks Jado in the gut. Lee euros him in the back of the neck for 2. Jado and Lee trade. Jado shoulders Lee over. Lee running corner facekicks Jado and then pulls him up on the pin attempt. Jado then taps out to Lee's guillotine choke.

Thoughts: It was more about Akira and Young heeling it up than anything else. We saw little here of Shota and of course Jado took the loss at the end. This was just a match.

ELP beats up on Akira after then Young low blows him. Lee knees Shota and ELP in the gut. ELP is then held. Lee hits him in the gut with a chair then kicks a chair in his face.

Six Or Nine (Master Wato & Ryusuke Taguchi), Daisuke Sasaki, Nick Wayne & Valiente Jr. vs. Unbound Co. (Daiki Nagai, Gedo, Robbie X, Taiji Ishimori & Titan)

Taguchi submitted Gedo with an ankle lock here. Everyone got their segment in and it looked like it would be nothing special. Then we got a major dive train with everyone getting to do a cool dive and it turned this one around. This ended up being fun. Nagai hit a nice tope here and Robbie X was working hard and doing a lot of flying. 

El Desperado & Hyo vs. House Of Torture (SHO & Yoshinobu Kanemaru)

Hyo takes the mic from Sho before the match starts. He gets the crowd to roar for him and says let's have fun. I think he tries to get Sho to chant the name of his stuffed animal toy. Sho takes the mic and calls the fans hicks. Sho talks about taking Hyo's stuffed animal and threatens to keep it.

Hyo attacks him then hit him with a flower and a fake tail. hyo flips out of the corner, walks on all fours and leg lariats Sho. Sho then has Dick Togo bring out Hyo's stuffed animal. Togo and Sho stomp Hyo in the aisle. Hyo is then sent into the post.

Kanemaru slams Hyo. Hyo takes a double axe handle to the arm. Sho boots Hyo then Hyo chops him. Hyo bodyscissors rolls Sho into a double stomp. Kanemaru takes a backdrop from Despy for 2. Kanemaru dropkicks Despy's leg from behind. Togo sentons Despy's leg.

Kanemaru figure fours Despy and Hyo breaks it up. Kanemaru yanks Despy's leg then bangs his leg off the mat. Despy spinebusters Kanemaru. Despy then backdrops him for 2. Sho comes in and ddt's Despy's leg. Togo holds up Hyo's toy. Sho is pushed into Togo then Hyo dropkicks Sho. Hyo rolls into a ddt on Kanemaru. Despy hits an angel's wings on Kanemaru and wins.

Thoughts: It wasn't that serious with them fighting over a stuffed animal. Togo interfered and even got in the ring at one point but the ref just somehow missed it. I didn't like this.

Togo holds up the toy after. Bishamon and Taguchi chase him into the ring. Hyo gets his toy back and Goto makes the heels sign a contract that they won't touch Hyo or his toys again.  They then make them do fingerprint stamps as they hold them. 

KUSHIDA, Taichi & Yuya Uemura vs. TMDK (Hartley Jackson, Robbie Eagles & Ryohei Oiwa)

Yuya and Oiwa trade wristlocks. Oiwa side headlocks him then shoulders him over. Yuya hiptosses him and armdrags him. Oiwa reverse monkey flips Yuya then pulls him down by the arm. Yuya spinning armdrags him down and armlocks him. 

Kush and Oiwa go at it. Oiwa crossfaces him. Rob comes in and ties up Kush's leg. Rob bangs Kush's knee off the mat. Kush hits leg kicks on Rob. Rob superkicks Kush. Rob kicks him in the chest and both go down. 

Tai and Hart get in. Hart shoulders him over. Hart corner splashes him then lariats him for 2. Tai takes a double suplex. Yuya and Oiwa try to hiptoss each other and Oiwa sends him out. Tai hits leg kicks on Hart then Hart sentons him. Kush kicks Rob in the leg. Rob hits a turbo backpack on him. 

Tai side kicks Hart and they lariat each other at the same time. Tai spinning chops him. Tai blocks Hart's sunset flip and pins him.

Thoughts: It was a shorter bout that didn't get enough time. They were all definitely rushing to get their sections in and it's a shame since they had some good workers in this who could have easily had a good match.

Yuya and Oiwa have words after.

Aaron Wolf, Jun Kasai & Toru Yano vs. House Of Torture (Dick Togo, Ren Narita & Yujiro Takahashi)

HoT attacks before the bell. Wolf is stomped on in the ring. Jun and Wolf dosey-do and hit shoulderblocks. Jun then jumps on Wolf and they pose. Ren back elbows Yano for 2. Gedo double axe handles Yano's back off the buckles then he armlocks him. Ren sends Wolf into the post outside. Togo foot chokes Yano.

Yujiro low single leg dropkicks Yano for 2. Yano pulls Yujiro by the hair. Yano atomic drops him. Jun comes in. Jun lariats Yujiro then lariats him. Jun suplexes him for 2. 

Jun grabs skewer ticks and Yujiro knocks Jun into the ref. Jun puts skewer sicks in Yujiro's head. Jun runs the ropes and is hit then Yujiro lariats him down. Ren and Wolf get in. Ren dropkicks him in the leg and legloks him. Wolf ropebreaks. 

Wolf drops Ren with a big forearm. Wolf hip throws Ren for 2. Wolf corner lariats Ren then suplexes him. Wolf shoulders over Ren and then throws the other two opponents. Wolf powerslams Togo then olympic slams him for the win.

Thoughts: It wasn't anything special. It didn't get a ton of time. HoT cheated a little and Jun didn't to do that much besides put skewer sticks in Yujiro's head. Ren chokes Wolf with a belt after and Wolf throws him.

United Empire (Callum Newman, Great-O-Khan & Zane Jay) vs. Unbound Co. (OSKAR, Yota Tsuji & Yuto-Ice)

Yota and CN trade forearms. Yota shoulders him and CN slaps him. They trade forearms. Yota knees him in the face. CN runs the ropes and flying knees him. Zane topes Os outside. CN tope con hilos Yota outside. CN sends Yota into the seats. 

Yota's head is banged off the apron. CN kneeling swantons Yota. Zane stomps Yota and CN boots Yota. Khan tries to pin Yota by standing on him. Khan then trips Yota and laughs. Yota grabs Khan by the beard then flatliners him. 

Os comes in and shoulders Khan over. Os slams Khan then back body drops Zane. Os sends CN flying with a shoulderblock. Os is pulled over the top. Ice boots Khan in the corner. Ice running knees Khan for 2. 

Khan kicks the middle rope into Ice's crotch. Ice takes a kick and throws Khan down backwards. Yota and CN fight. CN blocks his flying headscissors him and facekicks him. Yota overhead throws him for 2. CN spin kicks him in the gut and lariats him down. Yota pumping knees CN then CN lariats him. 

Zane hits a top rope club on Yota. Zane flips over Yota and drives his head into the mat. Yota tilt-a-whirl backbreakers Zane then falcon arrows him for 2. CN enzugiri's Os. Ice slaps CN down and CN pump kicks him. Yota spears CN. Zane thesz presses Yota and hits mounted shots. Yota chokeslams Zane and pins him.

Thoughts: This was fine and one of the full matches that actually got enough time to be something decent. It wasn't great or memorable but Yota and Newman went at it a bit to keep things interesting. We saw very little of Oskar in this one.

Best Of The Super Junior 33 Final Match - YOH vs. Kosei Fujita

KF gets some female dancers for his entrance. KF wristlocks him and goes for the armbar. Yoh then goes for one. KF side headlocks him. KF goes for a move and Yoh slides out to stall. They trade chops inside and Yoh stalls between the ropes. KF pulls him down by the hair and does Yano's taunt. Yoh twists his neck with his feet then does Robbie Eagles' cheer.

Yoh running back elbows him then neckbreakers him for 2. KF step up enzugiri's him. KF standing moonsaults him for 2. KF half crabs him. KF kicks him in the back for 2. Yoh dragon screws him. 

Yoh hits lariats on him then flying forearms him. Yoh underhook suplexes him for 2. KF trips him and Yoh rope breaks. They back elbow each other. Yoh flapjacks him. Yoh cannonballs him off the buckles. Yoh then teases Okada's rainmaker pose and gives everyone the finger. KF hits germans on him. KF falcon arrows him. Yoh hits a forearm flurry on him and hits Finlay's oblivion for 2. 

Yoh hits chops on KF. KF tries to run the ropes in different ways but is just chopped each time. KF takes him down and armlocks him. KF grabs a leg as well and Yoh ropebreaks. KF springboard dropkicks him for 2. 

Yoh rolls up KF for 2. KF blocks Yoh's bridge and ties his legs up. KF then pulls back on his arms like a surfboard. Yoh ropebreaks with his teeth. KF germans him for 2. KF germans him for 2. Yoh crucifix bombs him for 2. They trade forearms. KF spinkicks him in the face and both go down. 

Yoh ushigoroshi's him. Yoh rainmakers him twice. KF then hits a rainmaker. Yoh fires up and hits forearms. KF hits a headbutt on him. KF suplex lifts him into a cutter for 2. Yoh hits a GTR on him. Yoh then does Nakamura's taunt and low flying knees him. Yoh rainmakers him for 2. Yoh double underhook twisting drops him and pins him. 

Thoughts: I didn't really get this match. Kosei worked over various body parts without much logic. Yoh then started doing all kinds of famous NJPW wrestlers moves to win the match. I didn't like them goofing around early on since this is such a big match for them. They really pushed that this was an upset for Yoh and a major win for him. I just thought it was average. I also do feel like I saw this same exact match before from NJPW just with different wrestlers in it.

They shake hands after. Yoh talks on the mic after and is excited. He says he won BOSJ and wants to win the Jr Title next. Douki comes out and stares him down. SHO then jumps Yoh from behind. Yoh gets the edge on them and hits both with the sign Douki brought in.

Yano and Bishamon come out. They celebrate with Yoh and confetti shoots out. 

Overall thoughts: The card was exactly what it looked like it would be - a main where they got to try their best and a bunch of throwaway forgettable tags. NJPW always has their shows with tournament finals look like this and the quality is the same every time. This was a total waste of time and a lazy effort from NJPW. There was never going to be anything too great on here because few of the matches got the time and all of them had 6-10 people in them who needed to get something in. I would give this a 3 out of 10 as there was little of value here and the semi-main was probably the best thing on here. This show was not good.
