AEW Dynamite 6/10/2026 Summer Blockbuster
Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2026/06/aew-dynamite-632026-last-weeks-show-is.html
We are in Cincinnati, OH. Tony Schiavone, Taz and Excalibur are on commentary.
Tony Schiavone is in the ring and brings out Tomasso Ciampa. Ciampa tells him to tell everyone that Ciampa is better than Jericho. Tony says he won't as he tried to break a man's back. Ciampa forces him to say it.
Chris Jericho comes out. Ciampa interrupts some of his entrance and says it's about time he showed up. They introduce themselves. Jericho calls him "Tommy" and Ciampa doesn't like it. Jericho says Ciampa isn't marketable and says Tommy is easier to chant. Ciampa says nobody calls him Tommy including his mom. Jericho then says "Tommy's mommy".
Jericho asks why he doesn't like him. Ciampa says he thinks it's a joke and Jericho says it's not. He says the reason he doesn't like him is because he's not Jericho. Jericho tells him to pull the stick out his @ss before he shoves it up there further. Ciampa goes to hit him, they fight and security tries to breaks it up.
Thoughts: As Ciampa said, Jericho always has to make a joke out of things and it doesn't help these types of feuds.
Kevin Knight and Don Callis are interviewed. Andrade El Idolo interrupts. He says he wants the title and so does Kevin. He tells Kevin to the get to the back of the line and says Don i either with Kevin or Idolo. Kevin says the real champ is here and watch how he handles business. Don says Idolo will get his title shot.

They lock up. Shane backs him up in the corner twice. Shane grabs him by the throat. They trade forearms. Shane hits shots to the gut. Shane is thrown out and Mox dropkicks him off the apron. Mox topes him. Shane throws him over the timekeeper's rail outside. Mox eye rakes him. Shane uranage's him on the timekeeper's table.
We go to PiP break and return. Shane legdrops him on the apron. Shane corner splashes him. Mox slaps him and gives him the finger. Shane forearms him in the chest. Mox hits chops and forearms. Mox lariats him down.
Mox hits mounted corner punches. Mox bites him. Mox rakes his back on the buckles. Shane headbutts him down. Shane 2nd rope splashes him for 2. Shane lariats him for 2. Shane hits forearms while Mox is down. They trade forearms. Mox cutters him. Mox armabrs him.
Shane knees him in the face and hits mounted forearms. Mox curbstomps him and puts him in a bulldog choke. Shane taps out.
Thoughts: It was almost all strikes here. I wouldn't say it was great or anything but it did have some sense of realism to it. They didn't take a lot of bumps here.
Shane forearms Mox down after. Shane whips Mox with a belt after. The Infantry double team Daniel Garcia outside. Trish Adora hits Marina Shafir with a kendo stick. The Death Riders are left laying.
We get a Mercedes Mone video. She puts herself over and says she was watching while others celebrated her downfall. She says she watched. She says you won't take the Owen Hart Cup from her and she says she came for what's hers.
Don Callis and Kevin Knight come out to talk. Don says he knows how to feel him welcome. Kev says people are mad at him but should be mad at Darby Allin for not getting the job done or for Mike Bailey breaking up Jetspeed. He says he knows they aren't mad at him and Don linking up or him being the face of TNT.
Kev calls MJF out. Darby Allin then comes out and hits Kev in the back with a skateboard. Darby says he hopes New York was worth it. The Family comes out and Darby runs out of the arena.

Pac backs him up into the corner. Mark wristlocks him. Pac flips out using the ropes then Mark flips him by the wrist. Pac flying snapmares him. Pac headflips over him and Mark shoulders him over. They pieface each other.
Mark hits chops. Pac pump kicks him off the apron. Mark dropkicks him through the ropes. Mark slams him on the floor then elbow drops him off the apron. Pac brainbusters him outside on an open chair seat.
We go to PiP break and return. Mark hits forearms and uppercuts him. Mark flying forearms him. Mark uranage's him then he iconoclasm's him for 2.
Mark suplexes him. Mark's throat is pulled down over the top rope. Pac pump kicks him. They trade forearms. Mark facekicks him then Pac rebound germans him. Mark suplexes him over the top rope and goes with him. Mark blockbusters him off the apron for 2.
Mark tries a top rope froggy bow and Pac gets his knees up. Pac overhead belly to belly suplexes him into the buckles. Pac top rope SSP's, Mark gets his knees up but Pac mostly misses them. Mark hits a jay driller on Pac for the win.
Thoughts: It was alright. It didn't get as many kickouts or as much time as I expected. Mark flew around a bit and they suplexed each other. The brainbuster on the chair outside looked rough. This was one of the weaker people Pac has lost to.
Mark Briscoe says he challenged MJF to a shot but he has a direct path to a title shot. He tells MJF to come out.
We go to break and return. MJF appears in the stands. He says he is the final word and the law in AEW. He says his final word to him is "no". MJF says the crowd should thank him for keeping the title away from Mark. MJF says he has the most important thing in the world - money. He says money talks. The Lethal Twist then attacks Mark. Mark gets the edge at first and is triple teamed. The Conglormeration comes out and helps Mark.
Mark says he knows something MJF doesn't. He says MJF isn't the boss, he's just an @sshole. Mark says he spoke to Tony Khan. He says at Forbidden Door, it will be 6 vs 6. He says if Mark's team wins, he gets a title shot. He says they will do all of that in a steel cage.
Andrade El Idolo then comes out and stares down MJF before his match.
Thoughts: Mark's big news is lame. A 6v6 cage match isn't exactly a great way to decide whether someone is worthy of a singles title match. It's just going to have random people in it which brings the story down.
Orange Cassidy vs Andrade El Idolo
Idolo puts some basic holds on him. OC flying snapmares him. OC flying armdrags him. Idolo poses on the ropes. Idolo takes his pants off. OC takes his pants off and has a 2nd pair of jeans on underneath.
OC 2nd rope diving headscissors him with his hands in his pockets. OC flying headscissors him and basement dropkicks him out. Idolo is pushed into the buckles. OC gets on the buckles and is pushed out to the floor.

OC top rope diving ddt's him inside for 2. Idolo spinning back elbows him. Idolo spinning double underhook drops him and pins him.
Thoughts: I didn't like it. OC goofed around a lot and Idolo shouldn't be dealing with that since he's kind of being pushed.
Idolo talks on the mic after and says, "How you know?".
We see a Will Ospreay promo after Dynamite last week. He says nothing will stop him from going to the main event of All In and becoming champ. Alex Windsor then hugs him.
The Death Riders do a promo. Mox says Shane could have walked away with his pride. Marina says she will rip Trish and her boys in half. Garcia says they should do a 5v5 streetfight on Collision. he says Shane's friends just followed him straight to hell.
Women's Owen Hart Tournament First Round Match - Skye Blue vs Maya World
Sareee was supposed to be in this instead of Maya. Thekla's crew does an inset promo and mocks Sareee, saying she's she scared. Sareee was injured like a month ago but they just announced that she won't wrestle tonight.
SB knocks her down and boots her around. They forearm each other. SB back elbows her and Maya spinning heel kicks her. SB flying lariats her then hits mounted shots. SB foot chokes her then suplexes her for 2. SB hits forearms. Maya boots her out of the corner. SB knees her over the 2nd rope then bridging twisting neckbreakers her on the ramp.

Maya rolls her up for 2 and takes 2 superkicks. SB TKO's her for 2. Maya kind of jack knife pins her out of nowhere and pins her.
Thoughts: It was longer, slower and not that good. Skye didn't do a lot but superkicks and Maya wasn't super crisp here. I was not very interested in this one.
We get a Zack Sabre Jr. video. He says he wants to face Kenny Omega since he never faced him before and asks if Kenny is still the best.
The Don Callis Family does a group promo. MJF goes up to Don. MJF says he needs people for the 6v6 cage match. The Family laughs and Don asks if he's a pimp. MJF shows him a suitcase full of money. Don changes his mind and agrees. MJF says he needs 5 of them. Kevin Knight volunteers if he gets a title shot. MJF agrees and says if they lose, there is no rematch. Kevin agrees. Don tells his crew that they can go spend the money. Idolo asks Don about his title shot. Don promises him that he will get a title shot.

King chops him outside. King runs at him, Nana gets in the way and SS trips King into an open chair. King is sat in a chair. SS hits punches and double stomps him off the apron. We go to PiP break and return.
They fight on the ropes. King pulls the top buckle off. SS pump kicks his head into the exposed buckle. SS 2nd rope backdrops King. King pops him up and SS M. Bison stomp's him out of it. They go out and King slams SS down on the commentary table.
They fight inside. SS hits shots and spinning forearms him. King backdrops him and SS house call kicks him. King no sells it and lariats him for 2. King sleepers him and SS backs him up into the exposed buckle. King's head is banged off the exposed buckle. King is busted open. SS does a house call kick.
SS top rope diving house call kicks him for 2. King death valley drivers him into the buckles. Prince Nana distracts King and King sleepers him. King corner cannonballs SS. King piledrivers SS for 2. Nana hits King with something and SS vertebreakers King for the win.
Thoughts: Swerve won here and he was definitely the favorite going in. It slowed down a lot in the 2nd half but at least they did try to sell. It was alright but I didn't think there was a great story here.
Overall thoughts: It was mostly all wrestling as often is the case with AEW. Mox/Shane was almost all strikes and while it had some realism to it, it wasn't great. I liked Briscoe/Pac but the cage match stuff with MJF is random and not good. Orange Cassidy screwed around way too much with Idolo and brought that down. Skye/Maya wasn't that good and Sareee was injured for weeks yet they cancelled her match last minute The main was alright. Forbidden Door looks like it's going to have a bunch of random matches as usual with foreign wrestlers and hopefully they limit that so they can keep things running normally for the wrestlers who are around every week. I'd give it a 5 out of 10 overall as it was an average show.
