NWA Powerrr 6/27/2026

Joe Galli and Tim Storm are on commentary. 

Kyle Davis interviews The Cazana's in the ring. Joe says he has good news and bad news. He says the good news is they are tag champs. He says the bad news is they have to defend against mystery opponents. KC and AJ aren't happy. Joe says they are the tag champs and it doesn't matter who they have to fight. Joe says he predicted his boys would be the champs and that's the way it is. Joe says they are the champs because they are the greatest team in the NWA and they do it by the book.

We go to the NWA training seminar again. Kenzie Paige talks about being champ. She then introduces Tiffany Nieves. Tiff says she's the current champ and Paige is the former champ, so focus on her. She complains about having to fight in a 3-way soon with a stipulation attached. She moves her and Natalia Markova comes in. Grett grabs Markova by the throat. We then cut away.

Bryan Idol does a promo. He says part of creating history is etching your legacy one day at a time. He says he will face Mike Mondo and says this is another champ for him to take the gold home. He tells Mike to ask himself who will save him now. He says looks kill and so does he.

The Pope vs Richard Adonis

Mims is on commentary for this. 

They lock up and Pop armdrags him. The Light (Pope's new masked guys) come out. Rich armdrags him twice. Pope blocks a monkey flip then Pope lariats him. Pope knee drops him in the head. Rich hits some forearms. Pope back elbows him. 

Pope chops him down twice. Rich ducks a chop and hits his own chops. Rich sunset flips him for 2. Pope superkicks him in the gut. Rich flying back elbows him. Rich double stomps Pope down as he bends over. Rich 2nd rope moonsaults Pope. 

Pope begs off and double throat thrusts him. Pope is knocked off the buckles. Rich flying lariats him off the buckles. Rich lariats and back elbows Pope. Rich pulls Pope down with a sleeper. Pope jawbreakers him. 

Rich enzugiri's him from the apron. Pope slides out. The Light double boot and double pendulum slam Rich. Pope elbow drops Rich and pins him.

Thoughts: It was an average match. Mims pretended he didn't know who The Light was the whole bout. This got a decent bit of time and Rich did fine, just he's not super exciting.

The Pope talks to The Light in the back. He says he feels rejuvinated and feels mighty. He asks Mims if he saw that. Mims congratulates him and says The Light did more of the work in the bout. Pope says he doesn't need help. He says there's a big difference between needing help and preference. Pope says he needs Mims but Mims needs him more. Pope then leaves and Mims laughs. 

Smalls Big Challenge - Eric Smalls vs Big Cuzzo

This is an open challenge. Eric is wearing Daisy Kill's vest.

Eric shoves him in the gut and Big faceshoves him. Big facekicks him down. Big hits mounted shots. Eric bites Big's fingers. Big hits a powerslam on Eric and pins him.

Thoughts: Well, at least Big Cuzzo won here. 

Daisy Kill comes in after and grabs his jacket from Eric. Kill then raises Big's arm and gets a stomp in on Eric.

Kyle Davis asks what the deal is. Kill says Big Cuzzo will get the job done. Kill says Eric is a prop, a joke and a little freak. 

We see Mike Mondo working out and we see Wrecking Ball Legursky come up to him and Aron Stevens. Ball tells him why he wants to get in the FoC. Aron says Ball broke one of his prized brushes. Aron says not to letting him join the FoC. He says something you don't get what you want but you might find what you need.

Kyle Davis talks to Trevor Murdoch in the ring. Trev thanks everyone. He says a fat kid from Missouri got to have a 27 year career in the business he loves. He says there's nothing better than this. He says he was trained by Harley Race and got to live with Misawa and Kobashi. He says he go to hear his name called in MSG. 

Mike Knox comes out with a gift. They hug. Trevor has Mike open it up.  It's a King's cape and crown. Trevor says. He says what would Harley Race? He'd say look at how stupid you are to think he'd retire when he's at the top. He says it only took one little statement. Trevor says a king never retires. He says from this point forward, everyone should call him King Trevor Murdoch I.

Thoughts: There's a twist. It was kind of funny. I expected Knox to turn on Trevor here.

NWA National Title - Mike Mondo (c) vs Bryan Idol

Idol is actually in Puerto Rico today fighting for the WWC TV Title.

Mike back elbows him then drops him with a 2nd one. Mike hits mounted shots on him. Mike slaps him and Idol slingblades him. Idol flying knees him in the corner then hits chops. Idol double underhook suplexes him. 

Idol is sent into the steps and Aron Stevens stomps Idol outside. Mike puts the ring skirt over Idol and pounds on him. Mike hits a big shot and knees him in the gut. Mike claymore kicks him for 2. Mike rakes him with his knee and kick him in the gut. Mike chinlocks him. 

Mike clubs him. Mike goes to bite Idol's eye but Idol stops it. They trade shots. Idol back elbows him and superkicks him down. Idol double jump moonsaults him for 2. Silas Mason comes out and nails Slade, who appeared out of nowhere. Mike lariats Idol from behind.

Mike top rope diving headbutts Idol for 2. Aron Stevens gets on the apron. Kerry Morton comes in and chairs Idol. Mike fireman's carry gutbusters Idol and pins him.

Thoughts: The match was going okay and then the shenanigans started. I have no idea why Kerry was out there. I also don't know why the ref didn't call for a DQ when he knew Kerry was in the ring with a chair. 

Silas then spots Kerry and chases him to the back.

NWA World Tag Titles - The Country Gentlemen (AJ and KC Cazana) (c) vs Thom Latimer and El Dragon Nihan

The Cazana's have mystery opponents here.

Nihan pulls down KC off the lock up. AJ gets in and is shoved down off the lock up. The Cazana's pound on Nihan together. Nihan no sells a double gut shot and chops both down together. Thom side headlocks KC. Thom hiptosses him. AJ comes in and Thom throws him out. Joe Cazana gets on the apron. 

KC slides out, Thom goes out after him and AJ lariats him on the floor. KC stomps Thom in the ring then double axe handles him. Thom's head is banged off the buckles. AJ punches Thom in the corner. Joe chokes Thom over the 2nd rope. KC punches Thom.

KC struts and legdrops Thom for 1. AJ misses a corner chage and Thom tags Nihan in. Nihan comes in and chops his opponents down. The Cazana's heads are banged together. Nihan hits corner splashes on his opponents. Nihan facekicks AJ down then throws KC out.

Thom 2nd rope double axe handles Nihan on a failed double team. Thom is thrown out. Nihan double lariats The Cazana's. Nihan takes a double eye rake. AJ spinebusters Nihan for 2. AJ hits Nihan with Joe Cazana's book and pins him.

Thoughts: It was a random one. It got off to a decent start and they really did put over Nihan as a force here. I thought they had a shot at winning this one. It was acceptable.

Thom and Nihan talk after. Thom hugs him and Nihan lariats him down. Brandon McCord comes out and tells Nihan to attack Thom more. Nihan takes Thom down and hits mounted shots. Refs try to break it up as Nihan chokes Thom. 

Overall thoughts: It was the usual NWA Powerrr episode. Most of the bouts were random and twrestling was nothing particularly special. It was watchable but that's really about it. Trevor Murdoch's un-retirement was amusing and Nihan turned on Thom at the end of the show. The best match of the night was maybe the main, but it was nothing must see. I'd give this a 5 out of 10 and thought it was average overall.
