Thoughts: Oba won quick here. It wasn't anything particularly special. Jey got a lot of offense in, didn't get too far with it and Oba made his comeback and won. Jey getting to this point helped him out some after he got re-demoted to being Roman's lackey this year. I don't mind Oba looking strong but they don't have enough names for him to do this with forever.
Nick Aldis gives Oba the crown after. Byron interviews Oba in the ring. Oba says it feels so good to go from The Ruler to The King. He says Jey thought he was fighting just one man. Oba says you can't beat destiny and you can't beat him.

Thoughts: They tried to push that Iyo hurt her leg here but it was at the end and it wasn't focused on. Liv had a better performance than usual but didn't add a ton to this one. The crowd was not super into this and that didn't help it. I thought it was acceptable.

Thoughts: It checked all the boxes here and it was an okay match. I don't think it got close to great though. I think they needed a bit more intensity, some blood would have helped it and they could have just sped things up at times as it was a slower paced match. I didn't think it had any real major flaws. I was a bit surprised to see Bron lose and I'm curious where things go with either guy from here.

Thoughts: The crowd sucked here for this and the match wasn't anything too special. Trick did a little more than usual. There wasn't any great logic to this and Trick winning was never really in doubt. It was average.

Jade tries to grab the Women's US Title. Charlotte Flair comes out, takes it from Jade and hits her with it. Tiff double jump moonsaults Jade and pins her.
Thoughts: I was glad Tiff won. Tiff mostly did all the work here and Jade mostly caught her and threw her around. I found the various outfits to be ridiculous here. Why would Fab, Green and Charlotte wear bodysuits when they even wrestling on this show? Wouldn't they just wear normal long sleeve clothing instead? The match wasn't anything too special. After they do Jade/Charlotte, I wonder what is left for Jade on SD.

Thoughts: Sami's story for the last few years has been that he's the guy who couldn't win the big one. He finally won it here. Why? I'm not sure other than WWE being low on starpower. He's definitely not at his peak popularity wise and the build to him winning wasn't that strong. But it is done and there's no going back. I really would have done this in Canada where the response would have been 10x higher. It was your usual 3-way. Every time something would get going, the next guy would come in and things would reset. I thought there was a lot of story here with Sami and Cody but they only got into it a little. The match was alright enough but not too memorable aside from the result. The back body drop through the commentary table that Sami took was a pretty big bump. I assume we get Cody/Sami at Summerslam off of this. Gunther again has lost pretty convincingly and I don't really see an obvious direction for him here.
Sami says he's been challenging for 10 years and says he was told he would never do it. He says here it is.
Overall thoughts: The crowd either was not mic'd up well or they were just quiet for most of the night. That hurt all the matches. Additionally, Michael Cole had audio issues all night long which hurt things some. On paper, there was a lot at stake here but it didn't really feel like a huge PLE. Oba/Jey was a bit one-sided and Oba won. Iyo/Liv was acceptable and one of Liv's better matches...mostly due to Iyo. Seth/Bron checked all the boxes and was fine but never got close to being great. Trick/Saints was average. Tiff really worked hard against Jade but the match was nothing special. The main event was alright but really was only notable for Sami winning and ending his long run as the guy who couldn't win the big one. One thing I felt was noticeable is that a lot of people are kind of in the hole booking wise after this like Gunther and Bron and they are going to have to do some heavy work to pull them out. I'd give it a 6 out of 10 overall as it was okay and it was definitely better than some of their other Saudi PLE efforts. I really only see people remembering Sami winning the title here and not a lot else. I wouldn't recommend this one.
