CMLL 6/5/2026 Viernes Espectacular

The announcer talks to open the show.

Rey Cometa and Espiritu Negro vs Infarto and Cerebro Negro Jr.

EN and Negro Jr trade holds. Cometa comes in and sunset flips Negro Jr. Cometa rolling armlocks Infarto. Cometa is put on Infarto's shoulders and he rolls out of an attack from Negro Jr off the top. Cometa and EN go for pins. 

Everyone fights on the floor. Cometa is sent into the rails. The heels pose outside and get hit with topes from behind. Infarto takes corner attacks and hits a double lariat. Negro Jr rolls EN into a double stomp. He then rolls Cometa into a splash. 

EN is flatlinered into the buckles and Negro Jr. basement dropkicks him from behind. EN is held for a codebreaker + wheelbarrow german combo. Infarto hits a nasty overhead lift into a sitout powerbomb on Cometa for 2. EN takes a corner meteora from Negro Jr. EN springboard double crossbodies his opponents. Cometa slingshot splashes Negro Jr then EN springboard splashes Negro. 

Cometa is lifted and flying headscissors Infarto off the apron. Cometa topes Infarto outside. EN is dropped onto his chest by Negro Jr. Negro Jr canadian destroyers EN and pins him.

Thoughts: It was a longer opener. Cometa looked like he got injured during this and Espiritu often doesn't move well. They had some decent ideas and Negro Jr. was game here, but it didn't work out as well as it should have. It was still acceptable though. 

Brillante Jr., Diamond and Oro Jr. vs Los Forajidos (Polvora, El Coyote and Vaquero Jr.)

1st Fall - Vaq and Dia start us off. Vaq armdrags him and holds on for an armlock. Dia armdrags him back. Dia spinning reverse headscissors him from the mat. Oro and Coy go at it. Coy rolls him up then Oro rolls him up. Oro shoulders him over and they stand off. Coy boots Oro. 

Pol and Brill get in. Pol waistlock takedowns him. Brill walks up the buckles, kicks Vaq, get swept then is double stomped on. A big brawl breaks out. Oro is catapulted into a double dropkick. Dia is put in tree of woe and takes a triple basement dropkick. 

Brill counters a double team then Brill's team all hits springboard armdrags. Brill is slammed onto Oro then Dia is powerbombed onto them. Pol's team does a triple submission and submits their opponents. Polovra's team wins the fall.

2nd Fall - Dia is stomped on by the heels. Pol dropkicks him in the crotch. Brill is double flipped onto his chest. Coy springboard dropkicks Brill. Coy takes a double kick in the corner and Vaq misses a corner spear. Pol takes a springboard dropkick off the apron. Oro and Brill hit stereo tope con hilos outside. Dia rolls Coy into a camel clutch and submits him. Diamond's team wins the fall.

3rd Fall - Dia flying headscissors Vaq then he gets double stomped on. Dia tilt-a-whirl armdrags Coy then gets dropkicked. Brill springboard double crossbodies the heels. Brill is thrown into a headscisors on Pol. Brill backflips into a spinning reverse headscissors. Coy top rope crossbodies Brill.

Coy dropkicks Brill out. Oro springboard crossbodies Coy. Oro springboard diving armdrags Coy. Oro tilt-a-whirl backbreakers Vaq twice. Oro springboard hurricnanrana's him down for 2. Dia flying headscissors Coy then tope con hilos him. Dia dropkicks Vaq out then springboard plancha's him. Brill slingshot ddt's Pol. Brill split-legged twisting swantons Pol and pins him. Diamond's team wins the fall and match.

Thoughts: I liked it. They kept it moving and had a lot of action. Both teams did some dives and it never got boring or slow. 

Dark Silueta, Keyra & Lady Frost vs. Garra Negra, Kira & Lluvia

L = Lluvia

Key and Garra go at it. Garra armdrags her. Key pulls her hair. Garra's flying headscissors is bored and Key pulls her hair. Key armdrags her. Garra backrolls her for 2. Garra flips out of a hiptoss and rolls her up for 2. Key rolls her up for 2 twice. Garra sweeps her then pumping knees her. 

We cut ahead for some reason. Lady hits a conrer move and L is held for a codebreaker. Kira is triple teamed in the corner. Dark stomps on Kira. Key pulls Kira by the hair. Kira botches a hiptoss into the ropes. Garra and L save Kira. Kira hitsm ounted shots on Garra. Lady is double stomped on.

Kira springboard double stomps Key's back. Dark is bridged on the top rope, dropkicked in the butt and powerbombed on the ramp. Kira overhead splexes Key. We cut ahead again and Lady is held for a double superkick. Kira and Garra hit stereo topes out. L top rope plancha's outside. 

Lady spinning high kicks Kira. Lady then top rope corkscrew moonsaults outside. Lady cartwheels into an air raid crash on Garra and pins her.
 
Thoughts: I was surprised this was only one fall. It was fine though some of the odd cut ahead's hurt the match a little. They had some of the better women out for this and it worked.

Black Tiger, Sammy Guevara & The Beast Mortos vs. Barbaro Cavernario & Los Villanos (El Hijo del Villano III & Villano III Jr.)

Villano III Jr. has the tattoos and Hilo del Villano III doesn't

V3Jr shoulders over Tiger. They armdrag each other. V3Jr flying headscissors him out. Hijo and Sammy go at it. Sammy and Hijo chop each other. Sammy is stomped and stood on in the corner. Sammy corkscrew dropkicks Hijo out. Sammy dropkicks him then tornillo dives him outside.

Barb drops him with a shot. Mort shoulders Barb over. Mort tornillo topes him outside. V3Jr springboard dropkicks Sammy. Tiger backdrops V3Jr. Hijo suplexes Tiger. Tiger slingblade facebusters Hijo then powerslams him.

Mort boots Barb out of the corner. Barb does the worm. Sammy flying knees Barb. The Villanos double kick Sammy. V3J hit a top rope swanton on Sammy. Barb airplane spins Sammy. Mort is double gorilla press thrown into the ring. Tiger double stomps Barb's back.  

Sammy superkicks Barb out. Hijo pumping knees Sammy on the ropes. Mort pop up samoan drops Hijo. V3Jr spirngboard diving cutters Mort. Sammy hits a GTH on V3Jr. Barb ushigoroshi's Sammy. Tiger and Barb trade. Barb spinebusters him and stomps him. Barb springboard splashes Tiger. He then springboard triangle splashes him outside. Hijo tope con hilos Sammy outside.

V3Jr and Mort trade chops. Mort headbutts him in the chest then slaps him. Mort top rope gorilla pres slams V3Jr for 2. V3Jr springboard diving crucifix bombs Mort. V3Jr then seated moonsaults Mort and pins him.

Thoughts: It wasn't anything too special. It only had one fall and was mostly just people hitting their moves without great face or heel work. 

Hijo talks on the mic after. His team grabs Sammy. V3Jr says they want an ROH Tag Title shot. Sammy says he's Mexico's greatest wrestler and says he's not afraid of the Villanos. Sammy agrees to a title match.

Soberano Jr. vs Komander

Kom corkscrew headscissors Sob down. Sob springboard crossbodies him. Kom flying headscissors him but Sob headflips out. Kom then gets out of Sob's flying headscissors. Kom is sat up top and chopped down to the floor. Sob slides out and is drpkicked through the ropes. Kom asai moonsaults him outside.

Kom top rope moonsaults but Sob gets his feet up. Sob dropkicks him. Kom is crotched on the rail. Sob unties Kom's mask on the buckles. Kom is in tree of woe and Sob dropkicks him. Sob rolls into a dropkick on Kom. 

Sob boots Kom in the head and chops him. Kom double jump springboard diving headscissors him. Kom then blind walks up the ropes and top rope corkscrew moonsaults him. Kom gets a 2 count inside. 

Sob and Kom trade chops. Kom spin kicks him then enzugiri's him down. Kom is crotched up top. They get down and Kom standing spanish flies him for 2. Kom chops Sob. Kom gets stuck on the 2nd rope and Sob asai moonsaults him. Sob drops him chest first on the mat for 2. 

 Sob wastelands him and misses a top rope moonsault. Kom jumping ddt's him for 2. Kom chops Sob in the corner. Kom does flips and is caught with a superkick. Kom sunset bombs him for 2. Kom asai moonsaults and is caught with a superkick. Kom dropkicks Sob out. Kom top rope diving canadian destroyers him. Kom then rope walk corkscrew dives him outside for 2. Kom rope walk ssp's him inside for 2.

Kom springboards and is superkicked in mid-air. Sob brainbusters him. Sob fire thunder drivers him and pins him.

Thoughts: I didn't like it. As expected, they did too much and didn't sell all that much. Kom had some nice dives though and his blind walk up the ropes corkscrew moonsault was awesome. I was surprised to see Soberano win since he's been losing so much lately.

El Sky Team (Mistico, Mascara Dorada and Neon) vs El Galeon Fantasma (Zandokan Jr., Difunto and Furia Roja)

1st Fall - Zacarias the parrot is in a bag in the ring. Mist goes to take him out then he is kicked. Neon flying headscissors Dif. MD hits a springboard tornillo armdrag and Mist hits a springboard diving headscissors. Mist and Neon are stomped on outside. Neon is crotched on the rail. Roja choke Mist with clothing. 

Mist takes corner attacks. A flag is put on Mist's head and he takes a 4 person dropkick. Zand pins Mist. Zandokan Jr.'s team wins the fall.

2nd Fall - The faces are ganged up on. Neon is put in tree of woe and MD is sent into him. MD is pulled crotch first into him. Zand eye pokes MD. The heels pose on MD and Mist springboard hurricanrana's Dif down. Mist hits a springboard double back elbow. Neon and MD hit stereo springboard headscissors. Mist flying headscissors Dif. 

Mist walks up the buckles and plancha's Dif outside. Neon top rope moonsaults Zand and Roja. MD springboard 450's both. MD and Neon pick up stereo pins. Mistico's team wins the 2nd fall. 

3rd Fall - Neon is lariated down then group stomped. Neon hit a tilt-a-whirl armdrag then handsprings into a tilt-a-whirl armdrag on Zand. Zand Roja argue outside and push each other. Dif plays peacemaker and they all hug.

MD backrolls into a headscissors. MD walks up the ropes. He flips into the ropes and armdrags Dif. MD backrolls then corkscrew headscissors Zand. Zacarias distracts Mist and ist is triple teamed. 

Dif boots Roja on accident and Zand is pushed into Dif. Mist 619's Dif. Mist springboard diving headscissors Roja. Mist flying headscissors Dif. Mist springboard headscissors Zand down. Neon tope con hilos outside. Mist and MD then hit tornillos outside.

KeMalito gets on the 2nd rope and butt drops Dif for 2. Mist superkicks Dif then code red's him. Dif and Mist flying kick each other. Roja and MD hit splashes at the same time and both get 2 counts. Roja sits up top and MD overhead kicks him. MD corkscrew headscissors him down from the top for 2.

MD's springboard diving headscissors is blocked and he is sit out powerbombed by Roja. Zand slaps Neon in the corner. Dif goes up top and Mist spanish flies him down. MD is flipped into the ropes and he hits a double armdrag off of it. MD top rope moonsaults while Neon does his blind double springboard moonsault outside. Mist la mistica's Dif and taps him out. Mistico's team wins the fall and match.

Thoughts: It was good main. They had a furious past for most of this bout. The heels did a ton of bumping and the faces did a ton of flying. It was exciting and fun. 

Mist gets on the mic after with the announcer. He says he's happy to have a great return here after being injured. Mist then hypes up the 93rd Anniversary Show.

Overall thoughts: The main was acceptable but the faces looked old. The second match was similar to the main though the main was a stronger match. Both were good. The women's match was fine. Mortos' match wasn't that great. Soberano/Komander was the indy spotfest I expected. I'd give it a 6 out of 10 as it was an okay show overall. The main was the best bout of the night.
