New Japan Pro Wrestling 6/14/2026 Dominion 6.14 In Osaka-Jo Hall

NJPW World Television Title Match - Konosuke Takeshita (c) vs. SANADA

Thoughts: It didn't get a lot of time and that defined it. It would have been nice to get a straight 10 minute match or so but we got shenanigans with refs going down and guitar shots which didn't add anything to it. I didn't care for this.

No Disqualification Match - El Phantasmo vs. Jake Lee

Lee comes up with a clown mask on and has clown make up on underneath. He also puts some kind of monkey doll at the bell ringers desk. They duel chairs to start. Lee tries to hide behind one and has a chair thrown in his face. ELP hits forearms then slingshot plancha's him outside. ELP suplexes him on the floor.

Thoughts: It wasn't as good as it should have been. They just didn't get a good flow going here and because of the spot on the card, they had less time than they should have. They also spent too much time on basic holds when they should have been doing more flashy stuff.

Thoughts:
It was an unusual one. They went straight to the flying and big moves then Despy won with a leg submission almost out of nowhere. This was below average.

They announce most of this year's G-1 line up. It has:

Block A - Takeshita, Yota, Sanada, Shingo, Jake Lee, Oleg, Goto and 3 mystery men.

Block B - Callum Newman, Zach Sabre Jr., Shota, Yuya, Ren, Drilla, Gabe and 3 mystery men.

The winners of the Yuto Ice and OSKAR vs Khan and HENARE tag will qualify as well.

Thoughts: It doesn't look like a bad line-up. I'm hoping some AEW guys get invited.

Thoughts
: It wasn't any good as expected. It was mostly all shenanigans with HoT interfering, refs getting grabs and weapons being used. This is totally not what this card needed at this point.

Khan facekicks Os. Ice takes a powerbomb + claw slam and is pinned.

Thoughts
: It was a longer and slower paced match. I didn't really find it that interesting. Khan really didn't add to this at all and the flow just wasn't there. I was surprised to see Ice and Oskar lose since they were doing so well.

Khan goes to chair Ice after and Os covers Ice. Khan then chairs Os.

Thoughts
: Shota winning was a bit of a surprise. It wasn't anything too special. Each guy would hit a signature move then the next guy got in and repeated the process. It was herky-jerky as a lot of these three-ways then to be.

Shota goes to talk on the mic after and is jumped by Gabe Kidd. Gabe pildrivers Shota. They have mic problems. Gabe says he has a message from The Death Riders saying Shota was never one of them. Thoughts: It wasn't that good. It was a longer match with a bunch of House of Torture interference. Yoh worked Douki's lega little but it didn't lead to anything and Douki did a lot of douki chokey attempts.

Sho comes in and Yoh shoves him aside. Yoh then points at Kosei Fuhita. Sho hits Yoh from behind. Master Wato comes in and forearms Sho down then holds up the Jr. Title. Thoughts: The finish was sudden and not that well built to. It also looked awful. The match wasn't that bad otherwise and by far was the best thing on the show but nothing memorable. Yota thankfully won here.

Yota talks on the mic after. He says it's a new era of NJPW and says it's alive with him on top of it. Yota gets confetti after.

Overall thoughts: It was not a good show from NJPW. The first match didn't get enough time and had ref bumps and guitar shots. Jake Lee was back to acting goofy in the second match and brought things down with his shenanigans. Taichi's tag was acceptable but it didn't get the time to be good. Mistico/Depserado was unusual with a sudden ending. Ren's match was all HoT shenanigans. The IWGP Tag Title match was slower and just didn't really deliver. The three-way was nothing too special and a bit disjointed. The Jr. Title match was filled with shenanigans from HoT. The main had a weak finish but was the best match on the show. A lot of names were missing from this one as we had no Bishamon, Shingo, Yano, young lions and others. I'd give this a 4 out of 10 and I thought the show was bad. This promotion is in a very poor state at the moment and it's going to be a long time before things get fixed.
