We are the Performance Center in Orlando, FL. Vic Joseph and Wade Barrett are on commentary.

Tony D'Angelo is looking for Naraku and asking Robert Stone where he is. Stone says he needs Tony to promise that he will stay in line. Tony says he wants the contracted signed by the end of the night. Aaron Rourke walks past. Tony wishes him good luck and says he heard good things about thim. AR says right back at ya.

WWE Evolve Title - Aaron Rourke (c) vs Tristan Angels

They lock up. TA backs him up in the corner. AR slaps him  twice and side headlocks him. AR shoulders him over then side headlocks him. TA cravates him. AR goes up and over then dropkicks him. AR flying double knees him. AR 2nd rope dropkicks him for 2. 

TA trips him and stomps on him. TA does a trapezius hold to him. The lights change and we hear Shiloh Hill laughing. AR lariats TA over the top rope. TA pulls AR down face first onto the apron.

We go PiP break and return. TA armlocks him. We see Naraku arrive. TA kicks him in the arm. TA is swept face first onto the top buckle. AR lariats and back elbows TA. AR leg lariats him then fallaway slams him. AR back body drops TA. AR 2nd rope diving codebreakers him for 2. 

AR kicks him off the ropes. AR grabs TA's sash and TA step up enzugiri's him off the buckles. TA grabs the sash and something underneath the ring grabs it. TA is pulled under the ring but he gets back in the ring. AR spinning facekicks TA and AR top rope molly go round's TA to win.

Thoughts:The ending was a bit cheap here with AR basically needing help to win. The match could have used a proper finishing run as the shenanigans outside hurt some of the flow. It was an average bout for the most part. AR needed to show more spirit here.

Tony goes up to Naraku in the parking lot. Stone is there. Naraku says he wants to give Tony the contract himself. Tony opens the contract and a fireball shoots in Tony's face from the contract. Naraku laughs.

Thoughts: I saw that spot with Truth Martini in ROH before. They couldn't get the spot right then but it went off as planned here successfully.

We go to break and return. Tony has a towel wrapped around his eyes and an ambulance arrives. Tony is put on a stretcher. Tony says his face is burning and he's going to kill Naraku.

Saquon Shugars goes to talk in the ring but Dion Lennox immediately comes out. Dion says he has already decided how The Bash will go. SS says he got what he wanted with him in a 1v1 match. SS says he got put through a table and knew he couldn't get caught by Darkstate again. He says that's why he took out Dion's buddies first. 

SS says he wonders why Darkstate turned on him. He says Dion thought he was the leader. He says NXT has put him in the position that Dion was getting. SS says maybe he is just an indy wrestler, but this is what he does and Dion is just trying to take his spot. Dion says if you put them up against each other, who looks like the star? He says he was put in top positions because that's how it is supposed to be. Dion says SS was never supposed to be in Darkstate. He says they got what they needed from him and will put him in the past at The Bash.

SS says Dion knew he was the glue and says the others are lost without him. SS says Dion can't lace his boots and says it'd be a baggy fit if Dion tried his jockstrap. He says he will prove why he's up next and Dion is up next. Dion says SS has always been saying how he is up next. Dion says everything the fans love about SS is fake. Dion says they know him and his weaknesses. He says the people never saw it as they showed them what they wanted the fans to see.

He says Dion used to go in hiding before matches and would always second guess. He says dropping him wasn't a mistake but a correction. He says SS is his own worst enemy. He says at The Bash, SS will hesitate and he will expose him. Dion says SS' name is signed on the dotted line of his death warrant. He says he will stamp it at The Bash.

Thoughts: SS did a good job here and showed some mic skills. Dion did fine speaking wise but he's not really a trash talker. I wish they had more time to do these types of segments as both guys really could use it to get over.

Hank and Tank talk to Matt Mathews the comedian again. Hank and Tank says there's 3 of them on the outside but only one Matt.  

NXT Spotlight

Myles Borne says he fears comfortable and spent his whole life feeling uncomfortable. He says he felt comfortable in the NQCC and had no direction or purpose. He says he knew what he was capable of and didn't want to wait. MB says he bet on himself. He says Tavion is his brother but says Tav sometimes wishes he stayed with him.

Tavion Heights says he's never been afraid to be himself. He says he found a brother for life in MB. He says MB forgot about their friendship. He says they talked about reaching the top together and MB pushed him aside. He says he won't be selfish. He says he will prove he is who he says he is when he leaves North American champ. 

Borne says he will walk out as his partner but will prove he made the right choice.

Wren Sinclar tells Tavion sometimes the best way to keep a friendship is to walk away for a bit. Tavion says she and Borne have titles but he has nothing.

Kendal Grey asks Wren who will tonight between Arianna and Izzi. Wren says she's happy she's cleared to defend her title. Grey says they can picture themselves walking out as champs at The Bash and have a 2 layer cake waiting for them after.

Birthright (Stacks and Uriah Connors) vs Hank and Tank (Hank Walker and Tank Ledger)

Matt Mathews is with Hank and Tank. Birthright is out there in full.

UC wristlocks Tank. Tank headbutts his arm. UC pulls on his hair. Tank waistlock takedowns UC. Tank armdrags UC twice. Hank 2nd rope double axe handles UC's arm. UC uppercuts Hank. Hank armdrags Stacks. Stacks double throat thrusts him.

Stacks boots Hank in the corner. UC chops Hank in the corner and Stacks does the same. Hank rebounds Stacks into the ropes and lariats him. Tank pumping knees UC. Stacks is double slammed. 

Stacks jumps up and is atomic dropped then lariated out by Tank. UC is atomic dropped by Tank. Stacks argues with Matt outside and is hit. UC topes Tank. Hank and Tank hit topes on Birthright outside. We go to break and return.

Hank fights out of the corner. Stacks corner splashes him. Hank takes a suplex + sitou powerbomb combo for 2. Tank tags in. Tank drops the heels with shots. Tank 2nd rope double twisting crossbodies the heels. Tank hits snake eyes on Stacks. Tank forearms UC off the apron then cannonballs both heels from the apron outside. UC takes a rare double gordbuster for 2.

UC rolls up Hank for 2.  UC springboard stunners Hank. Stacks springboard elbow drops Hank. The four trade shots. Stacks TKO's Tank on the knee. Hank drops Stacks down and UC top rope swantons Hank. Birthright grabs Matt outside but Dempsey misses a shot and nails King on accident. Dempsey then lands on him crotch first. The face sandwich bodyblock the heels then hit a crossbody + powerslam and pin Stacks.

Thoughts: It was fine. There was a lot of flying and fast action and it was definitely designed to be a workrate match. Hank and Tank but one has to wonder how much longer they will be in NXT as they are basically a finished product.

Shiloh Hill is interviewed. Hill says he's not even with Tristan Angels yet. He says he had to open up during the NXT Pageant and it was a nervous moment for him. He says Tristan took advantage of him and they aren't even. Hill says things will get worse for him and he says he will make him regret what he did. He says he will show him why no on e sleeps on Shiloh Hill.  

We see Tony D being worked on by doctors.

Robert Stone has a contract signing for Lola Vice vs Kendal Grey. KG says what happened last week was an accident. Lola says KG has a long way to go. Lola says she started from scratch. KG says they are two of the biggest crossover athletes WWE had. Lola says she has KG figured out and says she crumbles under pressure. KG says she failed here but it won't be the case at The Bash. She says she needs to win. 

Lola says KG will have her time. She says she won't have her success while she is champ. Lola says she will beat her and retain. Lola says KG will push the division further someday, but it won't be until she is done. Lola then signs the contract.

Keanu Carver vs EK Prosper

KC slams EK then shoulders him over. KC throws him then stomps him in the corner. EK dropkicks him twice. EK springboard dropkicks him. KC gorilla press drops EK. KC forearms him in the back twice. EK hits punches. EK pump kicks him twice. EK asai moonsaults him. EK goes for a tope and KC forearms him down. 

We go PiP break and return. EK's crossbody is caught and he is slammed. KC germans him. KC talks trash and EK hits a flurry of shots. EK superkicks and enzugiri's KC. EK shining wizard's him. KC pops him up and is dropkicked. EK top rope moonsaults him out.

KC hits a big lariat for 2. KC forearms EK over. EK jumping single leg dropkicks him. EK top rope diving leg lariats him for 2. EK misses a top rope moonsault. KC pounces him. KC gets sunset flipped and EK pins him.

Thoughts: It was maybe KC's best WWE match yet. He played the big man role well and EK did lots of flying as expected. I was surprised to see EK win but another match would help both guys. EK desperately needs some promo time though.

KC jumps EK after and throws him out. KC powerbombs him through the commentary table.

Zaria talks about Tatum Paxley. She says they both broke free, stood on their own and can call themselves champs. She says her reign began at the expense of Tatum's. She says Tatum can't let her enjoy her success. Zaria says Tatum is addicted to pain. She says she will give her a rematch at The Bash so she can beat her again and she can revel in the pain forever.

Robert Stone threatens to suspend Naraku. Naraku says he can't or he will be out of an NXT Title match at The Bash. 

Stone goes up to Keanu and says he needs to explain himself. Keanu says he's running through everyone until he gets his title match. He says EK isn't the first or the last.

WWE Women's Speed Title #1 Contender's Match - Izzi Dame vs Arianna Grace

ID facekicks her down and hits corner spears. AG is hit with a sky high for 2. ID hits knees to the gut and punts her there. ID is hit in the gut when coming off the 2nd rope. AG sentons her for 2. AG low crossbodies her but ID rolls through. AG pump kicks her. 

Stacks gets on the apron and ID hits him. ID throws AG off the top. AG flying back elbows ID for 2. ID facekicks AG down. Shawn Spears makes ID tag him and this distracts her. AG cradles ID and pins her.

Thoughts: AG won here which was a surprise. This went well and the speed masked some of AG's weaknesses.

Niko and Iazi aren't pleased with Shawn Spears after. Wren Sinclair comes out and holds her title up.

Robert Stone is in his office. He says he spoke to Rey Mysterio. He says some luchadores will be at The Great American Bash. Stone says he will announce Naraku's opponent tonight.

The Vanity Project come in (they talked to Stone in the background earlier). Drake complains about them not making The Bash. Drake grabs the NXT Title and Stone stops him. Stone kicks them out.

We get an NXT Origins video on Alexa Bliss.

Nikkita Lyons and Karmen Petrovic talk about Natalya in the back then mention Jaida Parker. Jaida walks in. Lyons calls Jaida soft. Lyons says she saw Karmen on AAA.

OTM talk to Jaida, who is their former stablemate. She says she's not alright. Price says he saw Nima on AAA this weekend and asks if they are good. Nima says something about him doing what he needs to do.

Niko and Izzi are still upset with Shawn Spears in the ring.

Dorian Van Dux and Sean Legacy vs The Culling (Niko Vance and Shawn Spears)

Legacy waistlock takedowns Spears. Spears chops him in the corner and Legacy chops back. Legacy double stomps Spears' back and basement dropkicks him. Legacy takes Spears down by the wrist. Dux is forearmed by Spears. Niko shoulders over Dux. Dux flying headscissors Niko.

Niko boots Dux out of the corner. Dux sunset flips Niko for 2. Dux armdrags Niko and armlocks him. Dux wristlocks Spears. Niko is backdropped, PK'd and takes a standing moonsault. Legacy wristlocks Niko and Niko headbutts his arm. Spears snapmares Legacy then legdrops him. Spears is tripped into the ropes and Legacy does a neat kick. Legacy low flatliners him. Legacy goes to springboard and is dropkicked by Spears out.

We go to break and return. Legacy hits forearms on Spears on the buckles. Niko pushes Spears out of the way and takes a top rope crossbody for him. Dux comes in and beats up the heels. Dux moonsaults over Niko then hurricanrana's him. Dux death valley drivers Spears.

Dux double jump moonsaults Spears for 2. Dux corkscrew kicks Niko. Legacy comes off the top and Niko headbutts him down. Legacy is thrown into a ddt for 2. Legcy pele kicks Spears. Legacy throws Niko out. Dux 2nd rope moonsaults Niko outside. Legacy hits a shiranui on Spears. Legacy springboard 450's Spears and Dux top rope ssp's Spears for the win.

Thoughts: Interesting result here with The Culling losing. It was an alright match with the faces flying around and the heels doing more basic stuff. Dux continues to look really good and seems like he's headed to the top sooner rather than later. 

Izzi makes a face and isn't happy about Spears losing. Niko helps Spears up. Niko short arm lariats Spears and throws him out. Niko chokeslams Spears through the commentary table...and it has now broken twice today.

Thoughts: The Culling never really hit and I'm interested to see where things go. Niko's been getting pushed in Reality of Wrestling and I wonder if it was to prep him for a singles run in NXT. Izzi has all the tools but never has great matches.

Robert Stone talks in the ring. He says the NXT Title match will happen at The Bash. He says he wants to bring out Naraku, who caused this. Naraku says he will take the title if there's no one to face him. Mason Rook comes out. Rook says you just don't get handed titles here and he will fight Naraku for the title if Tony can't. Rook says let's run this back with gold on the line.

The Vanity Project come out. Drake says Rook hasn't been here long and is already asking for title shots. Drake calls Rook a porchop and is hit. Rook throws him in and lariats him out. Rook throws Drake on the floor. Naraku says there's no one to challenge him and asks Stone to hand him the title. Stone says it was never Rook or Drake, it was always him.

Tony D comes out with his eye and face all bloodied and taped up. Naraku eye pokes him and escapes out. We then see a split screen of them to close the show.

Thoughts: I'm glad they are sticking with Naraku vs Tony D. I'm not dying to see it, but they didn't need a thrown together main event in its place.

Overall thoughts: There was a lot of okay wrestling here. Keanu/EK was the best bout on here and Hank and Tank's match was the 2nd best bout. Tony getting fire thrown in his face was an interesting curve ball and we'll have to see how that plays out. The Shugars/Dion segment worked and they split up The Culling here. I also thought Dorian Van Dux looked good in his tag match. They did a decent job to build up The Great American Bash here and the show was a success as a whole. I'd give it a 6 out of 10 and I thought this was fine.
