WWE Monday Night Raw 4/27/2026

Note - WWE fired a bunch of wrestlers last week. A lot of people have gotten upset at Kairi Sane getting cut and we'll see if they try to takeover the show due to it. 

We are in Laredo, TX. Michael Cole and Corey Graves are on commentary.  

Roman Reigns and The Uso's talk in a room with a desk. Roman says they know where he comes from and where he stands. Roman says they are the only ones he can trust. He says he doesn't know where Jacob Fatu is coming from. He said he took a backseat for 2 years and Fatu procrastinated. Jimmy says he agrees with Jacob wanting to upgrade but says it shouldn't come at Roman's expense. Jey says Fatu is dangerous, unpredictable and unhinged.

Jey says if Fatu wins, he takes it all. Jey says there has to be consequences. Roman says Jey is right. Roman says he will address this later tonight. Jimmy says family first. Roman says "The First Family".

We see Fatu hanging out in the back. 

Seth Rollins comes out to talk. He says Bron Breakker is the reason Roman is champ and the reason Gunther beat him. He calls Bron Breakker out to settle the score. 

Bron Breakker comes out with Seth Rollins. Seth says he gave Bron everything and Bron repaid him by taking everything from him. Seth asks what he got out of it. Bron asks what Seth gave him and Reed. He says they were Seth's errands boys. He says they fought his battles for him. He says Seth has nothing. 

Bron says he and Reed had to listen to Seth say the same crap every week and mocks him. Bron says he never needed him. He says he needed Heyman. Seth talks about his history with Bron and said he would be the next money drawing star in this industry. He says Bron is unique and the most versatile performer he has seen. He says Bron has everything but the brains. He says Bron tries while he succeeds. 

Seth says every time he bet on himself, it ended up with a main event or a title. He says Bron did it and it got him Logan Paul, Theory and a happy ending from Paul Heyman. Seth says Bron is not ready. Bron says he was on the road to becoming a main eventer with or without him. Bron says Seth's body can't handle being champ and his shoulder can't handle the weight of a scrap on it anymore. 

Bron says he came up on his title shot attempt. He says he can go to sleep okay losing to the best in the world rather than one who proclaims it. Bron says he's a hall of famer and the best wrestler in the world at being #2. Seth says that was good and calls him Baby Steiner. He asks if he came up with that on his own or called Big Poppa Pump for his hook up. Seth says he will give him a chance at Backlash to prove he's better. He says Bron isn't even #2 in his own family.  

Thoughts: It was a good segment and easily set up their match at the PLE. 

We see more wrestlers arrive and hangout.

Raquel Rodriguez attacks Stephanie Vaquer and throws her into a box. Roxanne Perez then slides a box into Steph. Liv tells Steph this is her title.

Penta vs Rusev

Ethan Page comes out to watch before it starts. 

Rusev clubs and stomps him. Rusev suplexes him twice and fallaway slams him. Rusev stands on his throat. Rusev takes  superkick then a running dropkick. Penta tope con hilos him outside. Penta gets in Page's face outside. Penta superkicks Rusev. 

Penta springboards and is caught with a kick. Rusev swinging uranage's him. We go to break and return. They fight on the buckles. Penta top rope crossbodies him. Penta slingblade bulldogs him. Penta handstand pendulum dropkicks him in the corner. Rusev knees him in the gut then Penta up and over backcrackers him for 2. Rusev back body drops him and high kicks him. Rusev uranage's him. 

Rusev machka kicks him. Rusev goes for a kick, Penta sees it coming and stalls then rolls him up.

Thoughts: It was a shorter one and they did what they were supposed to here with Rusev throwing him around and Penta doing his flying.

Rusev beats up Penta after. Page gets in the ring and Rusev backs him up. Penta chops Rusev then Page nails Penta from behind. Rusev then lets Page stomp Penta with him. Je'Von Evans comes down to make the save. Rusev takes a superkick and a double jump springboard cutter.

Los Americanos do a promo in Spanish. Grande says he will be in the biggest matches of his career in a few weeks against the other Grande in a mask vs mask match. He says the match will be the most important match of his entire life. He says he will have to be ready to fight for his life. He says he will have to be ready to fight for his name. He says what better way to prepare for this than to issue a challenge to Rey Mysterio tonight. He says it would be an honor to face him tonight.

Becky Lynch talks in the ring. She says a lot of history was made at Wrestlemania 42. She says she beat AJ and put gold around her waist. She says she's the first WWE star to win 4 different titles at Mania. She says she has won more Mania matches than any other woman. She says she needed to show her daughter what a real champ is. She says it's about showing up at rundown towns like Laredo.

She says she knows the fans want her to defend the title and fight the best of the best. She is an issuing an open challenge to whoever wants some. 

Iyo Sky comes out. She says she accepts. Becky says she wanted to fight the best of the best, shiny and exciting and she's none of those things. She says she understands Iyo is accepting on behalf of Rhea Ripley. She says she wanted to fight Shawn Michaels, not Marty Jannetty and she's been holding Rhea back. Iyo slaps her and pounds on her. Becky goes to leave.

Adam Pearce comes out. He says Becky issued an open challenge and Iyo answered it. Adam says they will do a title match now. Becky then nails Iyo from behind.

WWE Women's Intercontinental Title - Becky Lynch (c) vs Iyo Sky

We join this in progress. Iyo basement dropkicks BL. Iyo tries an up and over and is kicked then lariated for 2. BL corner forearms her and exploders her. BL baseball slides her then hits her off the apron. 

BL 2nd rope legdrops her for 2. They trade shots. Iyo germans her. Iyo hits some shots and flapjacks her. Iyo bangs her arm over the top rope. Iyo top rope dropkicks her. Iyo corner meteora's her for 2. BL reverse ddt's her for 2. Iyo rolls her into a double stomp. BL forearms Iyo when she goes for a tope. Iyo sunset bombs her on the floor and and both go down.

We go to break and return. BL superplexes her and holds on for a ddt for 2. Iyo rolls her up for 2. Iyo superkicks her in the mouth then double underhook backbreakers her for 2. Iyo tornado ddt's her. BL gets her feet up on Iyo's moonsault. BL uranage's her for 2.

BL goes up top and is pushed into the post. Iyo asai moonsaults her outside. Asuka comes out and sweeps Iyo from the apron. Iyo is missing a shoe and BL uranage's her for the win.

Thoughts: It was a solid match here with them stiffing each other. They put out a good effort for this one. Becky took a hard superkick to the mouth here.

Asuka buzzsaw kicks Iyo and chickenwings her after. Iyo taps out.  

El Grande Americano Original talks to Rey Mysterio. He asks if he needs to watch his back for Rey during the mask vs mask match. Rey says he wants them to respect lucha libre. Los Americanos with El Grande II come in. The Grande's argue. Rey says he's not choosing sides. Bravo and Rayo yell at Rey. 

The Uso's are interviewed. Jimmy says Roman will make a decision when he's ready. LA Knight interrupts. He asks if they are sitting at the table again when Roman sits at the head of it. LA says Jey became a champ on his own. LA says Jimmy could be a champ but it won't be under Roman. Jey tells him to stay in his lane. Jimmy says it's family business. LA says Bloodline ran over everyone and the power corrupts. He says when it does, it becomes his business.

Thoughts: LA was right here. They are quickly undoing all of the work they did with Jey being a main eventer due to this storyline.

Joe Hendry is in the ring for a concert. Joe says he had a big decision to make and will tell us in a song. He says he has signed with Raw in a song. He then sings about firing Logan Paul. 

Logan Paul comes out angry with Austin Theory. He says you can't fire him. Logan asks who he is. Logan says the people are awful like Joe. Logan says it's Joe's first and last night on Raw. Austin says they have gold and are the greatest tag champs of the universe. Austin says they are winners. 

Joe says no and says he sees primetime losers. Austin says the mat and camera belong to The Vision. He says The Vision goes through everyone and says they will go through him. Austin shoves Joe. Joe lariats Austin and hits corner spears on Logan. Joe is double teamed. The Street Profits come out and make the save and clear off the heels. Logan dives on the heels outside.

Grayson Waller complains to Adam Pearce in the back. He asks where his opportunities are. He says Oba Femi is overrated. Oba then shows up behind Waller. Oba asks Adam to give Waller an opportunity vs him tonight. Adam agrees. 

Joe Hendry thanks The Street Profits in the back. Ford tells him to get a different color shirt now that he's on Raw. Seth Rollins comes in and wants to talk about last week. Ford says it had nothing to do with him and he's not special. 

El Grande Americano vs Rey Mysterio

This is the Kaiser version of GA.

They lock up. GA wristlocks him. Rey flips out using the ropes. GA sweeps him. GA rolls out of a wristlock and trips him into a side headlock. GA tries a pin but Rey bridges. Rey sunset flips him. Rey sweeps him then GA sweeps him. They stand off.

GA boots him in the gut. Rey flying snapmares him. Rey spinning headscissors him into the ropes. GA flying kicks him and we go to break.

We return and Rey back body drops him. GA slaps him. Rey back elbows him. Rey moonsaults, gets caught and tornado ddt's him for 2. Rey dropkicks him into the ropes. Bravo trips Rey. Rayo tries to load Grande's mask but Rey 619's them. GA grabs the weapon Rayo had then Grande Americano Original comes out and tries to take it. Reu 619's GA then springboard splashes him to win.

Thoughts: I'm not a big fan of Kaiser being a heel in one promotion and a face in another. It gets too confusing and really hurts what he's doing in both companies. I was surprised Rey won.

Grande Original takes down Grande II after and they wrestle on the mat. 

Asuka does a promo on Iyo. She says she tells Iyo when they are done. Asuka says she's her senpai and all she has done is disappoint her. She says she blamed herself for Iyo's mistakes but she realized Iyo is the problem. She says she's selfish and Iyo is her biggest failure. She says Iyo killed the family they had and nothing will stop her from destroying Iyo. She says will teach her one final lesson at Backlash and the lesson is she not ready for Asuka. 

Oba Femi vs Grayson Waller

Oba lariats GW then throws him in the corner. Oba hits shots in the corner. Oba running euros him and GW goes out. Oba throws him on a backdrop then flying euros him. Oba hits a big sitout powerbomb and wins.

Thoughts: It was all squash here with Oba destroying GW.

Oba talks on the mic after. He says Waller said there is no opportunity around here as the champs are locked in with contenders. He says he created a solution to the problem. He says The Oba Femi Open Challenge will commence. He challenges any man to step up and see how they fare. 

The Judgment Day girls talk in the back. Liv wants to talk to Roxanne about "the thing". Liv says she wants to finish the conversation they had prior to Mania. She says she's sorry about how things went with Finn. She says she watched Finn bring her into Judgment Day. Liv says they are family and Finn put himself before the family. Liv says she will be in her corner tonight and asks if she trusts her. Roxanne says she needs a second.

Finn Balor sneaks in as Liv leaves. Finn says you can't trust Liv or Judgment Day. Rox asks if she can't trust them or Finn? Rox says she's with Judgment Day and tells him to get out before he gets hurt. Finn says good luck and he hopes she knows what she's doing.

Bayley and Lyra Valkyria vs Judgment Day (Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez)

Bay wristlocks RR. RR knees her in the gut. Bay side headlocks her and RR blocks the takeover. Bay uses the ropes to take her over with the headlock. RR backdrops her. RP comes in. Bay rams her in the corner. Lyra boots RP in the gut. Lyra side headlocks her.

Lyra jumps on RP and hits punches. Lyra slaps her. RP takes a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Lyra spinning heel kicks RP. Bayley elbow drops RP off the buckles. RR lariats Bay on the floor. RR rams Bay head first into the post. We go to break and return.

Lyra comes in and cleans house on the heels. Lyra 2nd rope dropkicks RR. Lyra northern lights suplexes RP then fisherman suplexes her for 2. RR facekicks Bay for 2. Bay belly to belly suplexes RP for 2. Liv distracts Bay. RP shining wizards Bay then hits a code red on her to win.

Thoughts: I didn't like this. The crowd cheered Perez and they knew it would probably happen. It defeated the whole purpose of what Bayley and Lyra are doing and made them look bad.

We get a video on Sol Ruca. 

Roman Reigns comes out. He says they love the tribal chief here. He says his title was made to take away from his shine and it never worked. He says the title doesn't make the man, the man makes the title. He says now you can be proud of the title and respect it. He tells the crowd to acknowledge him.

Jacob Fatu comes out. Roman says he was just going to talk about him. Roman says he hopes he made the right choice - to unite the family and not divide it. Fatu says he didn't need a week or an hour. He says he knows what he wanted when he came out here last week. He says he needs that title. He says Roman didn't grind like him. 

Fatu says he did 12 years of grinding and suffering. He says he was broke while they ran The Bloodline. He says Roman, Jimmy and Jey didn't call him before WWE, but Solo did. He says Solo gave me a chance and put him on. Roman says Fatu is either confused or dumber than he thinks. Roman says Solo couldn't get a cup of coffee delivered to the building. He asks who he thinks runs the place and he says he does. 

Roman says he never forgot about him and signed off on him. He says Fatu doesn't deserve it and hasn't earned it. Roman says it's nepotism to face him. Fatu then gives him the tongan death grip. Fatu headbutts him and mounts him. He says he's gonna take everything from him. Fatu then grabs the title and throws it down at Roman. 

Fatu leaves. Roman gets on the mic. He says he will see him at Backlash.

Thoughts: I don't know how we were supposed to react here or who was supposed to be face or heel. I just hope Roman doesn't go over him, though he will. Roman also just had to bury the title as well, even though he's the one holding it. 

Overall thoughts: This show was a mess. There were 3 different segments (Grande/Rey, Roxanne Perez and Roman/Fatu) where the face/heel alignments got messy and I don't think any of them really accomplished whatever they were supposed to do. Roman also buried the World Heavyweight Title, only this time, he's the one holding it. Becky and Iyo had a good match though and Penta/Rusev was fine. Backlash is 12 days away but the important stuff is set from Raw and it makes sense, so that works. I can't really put this one over though and it just left me confused. I'd give it a 4 out of 10 and wouldn't recommend it. This wasn't good.
