WWE Money in the Bank 2026 10/10/2026

WWE Money in the Bank 2026 10/10/2026

Note - This ran partially against AEW Collision.

We are in New Orleans, LA. Michael Cole and Corey Graves are on commentary. Byron Saxton is doing the in-ring intros.

We see various wrestlers arrive.

World Heavyweight Title - Roman Reigns (c) vs LA Knight

LA goes for a BFT. RR crotches him up top. RR superman punches him twice. RR spears him and pins him.

Thoughts:
Yeah, Roman won in the end like always and Loses Always Knight lost another big one. The result doesn't really help anyone and yet again hurts any momentum LA might have gotten. And even worse, this time, he lost totally clean. It was alright and they really did try to sell the viewer on the idea that LA could do it, but he didn't. I would have liked the burning hammer to mean more and the opening part of this could have been better as it was nothing but punches and people getting their heads banged off the buckles.

946 appear in the crowd after. Bloodline appear behind them. 946 see them and they fight in the stands. They go into the bar area. Jey's head is banged off a wall and tables. Jey is sent into a wall. RP's tope is caught by Lash and she is swung into the rails. Vice meteora's Lash off the apron. Tiff climbs a ladder outside and does a bad swanton where she hits her head off the floor.

JJ sets up a ladder in the ring. JJ bangs Tiff's head off of it with her feet. Lola hits kicks on JJ. Lola hits spin kicks on Sol. Lola corner hip attacks her, JJ and Tiff. RP grabs a mini ladder and hits Lola with it. Lola uses it like a chair on her back and Lash's back. Lash pump kicks the ladder into Lola.

Sol springboard dropkicks the ladder into Lash. Sol flips out of a hurricanrana. Sol drops Tiff face first on a ladder. JJ catapult's Sol's face into the ladder. JJ cannonballs Sol into the ladder. Lola hits JJ in the gut.

JJ climbs the ladder inside. Vice climbs the ladder bridge to stop her. Vice sleepers her while she's on the ladder and JJ falls back onto the ladder bridge. The ladder slips out of the ring and they both fall down with the ladder to the floor.

Tiff and RP trade forearms. Tiff's head is banged off a ladder. RP spin kicks Tiff in the gut then hits a code red on her. RP climbs the ladder and Sol stops her. RP's head is banged off the ladder. Sol flips off the ladder into a stunner on RP.

Lash pulls Sol off the ladder then powerbombs her onto a ladder on the 2nd rope. Tiff climbs the ladder with Lash and they hit each other. Tiff hits Lash with the briefcase and knocks her off. Tiff then grabs the briefcase to win.

Thoughts: I don't know what it's going to take for them to learn their lesson with these women's ladder matches. They are a recipe for injuries and we had 2 very dangerous botched spots here. If you ignore 3 girls almost getting hurt bad here, it was okay. The ladder bridge botch was pretty scary and Tiff came close yet again to hurting herself bad on a ladder swanton. They teased that RP might win here and the crowd was into the idea.

Oba Femi vs Bronson Reed

They trade punches to start. Reed headbutts him and knees him in the gut. Reed lariats him and Oba no sells it. Reed headbutts Oba and Oba shoulders him over.

Oba hits him in the gut. Reed forearms him on the ropes. Oba facekicks him. Oba goes for a backdrop and Reed sentons him. Reed hits another senton.

Oba running euros Reed in the corner. Reed corner splashes him. Reed ddt's him. Reed misses a top rope splassh. Oba running euros him in the corner a few times. Reed corner splashes him.

Oba spinebusters Reed for 2. Austin Theory comes out and distracts Oba. Logan Paul comes in the ring with a chair and he's ejected. Reed grabs brass knucks from Maxxine Dupri. Reed punches Oba with them twice. Reed top rope splashes Oba for 2.

Reed death valley drivers Oba. Reed misses a top rope moonsault. Oba flying euros him in the corner. Oba chokeslams Austin on the apron. Oba backdrop throws Reed then pop-up sitout powerbombs him. Oba pins Reed.

Thoughts: It was an okay match here. Reed mostly stuck to sentons and Oba did a lot of euros here. Reed's moving a lot better without his extra weight, but losing the weight kind of kills his gimmick. Oba thankfully won this one.

Women's World Title - Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs Liv Morgan vs Becky Lynch

Liv gets dropped to start. SV shoves BL and BL shoves her back. SV takes her down and rolls her up. SV sunset flips her for 2. SV backdrops Liv. SV goes for the devil's kiss and BL breaks it up. BL and SV pieface each other. BL sends her out.

Liv is sent out and sent into the rails. BL spin kicks SV in the gut. SV flying headscissors BL into a pin attempt. BL baseball slides Liv. SB top rope plancha's both opponents outside. SV gets a 2 count on Liv. Liv throws SV down backwards.

Liv is put in armbars by both opponents. SV and BL headbutt each other. SV superkicks her and Liv rolls up BL for 2. BL uranage's Liv for 2.

BL chops SV in the corner. BL flying forearms her in the corner. SV triangles BL over the top but BL ends up going to the floor to break it. SV meteora's Liv and BL against the steps. SV top rope skytwister presses Liv for 2. BL pulls the ref Jessica Carr out, who she has had issues with.

BL and SV trade shots. SV is sent into the rails. BL high kicks SV. SV corner lariats BL. SV corner meteora's BL. SV hits headbutts on BL. She superkicks BL off the apron onto a table (which doesn't break). Liv hits a surprise oblivion on SV and pins her.

Thoughts: The ending was a bit of a surprise as things were slowing down and Liv won in quick fashion. They had some interesting stories here with SV and BL going at it and both disliking Liv. It went well and I thought it was an okay match. I have to think this is probably the end of Steph as champ for a while.

Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match - Bron Breakker vs. Je'Von Evans vs. Trick Williams vs. Penta vs. CM Punk vs. Kevin Owens

Penta does his taunt and Bron nails him during it. Evans and Trick are thrown out. KO and Punk hit each other. Penta superkicks Bron. Bron takes a double superkick. Trick hits a bad double flapjack on Evans and Penta. Trick leg lariats Punk. Punk topes Trick.

Bron belly to belly overhead suplexes Evans. Bron pulls Penta off a ladder and knees him in the face. Bron sends KO into the post. Bron runs on the rail top and commentary table then spears Trick. KO sweeps Bron on the commentary table. KO and Punk hockey fight. Punk high kicks KO then throws a chair at him. Penta hits forearms on Punk. Penta is sent over the timekeeper's rail. Punk and Trick get put there too.

Evans runs around the ring and gets speared hard from the side by Bron. Bron climbs a ladder and Punk russian legsweeps him off of it. Evans is being put on a stretcher. Punk hangs off a ladder in the ring and Penta superkicks him there. Trick backhands Penta down.

Trick stomps on Punk. Owens drops a ladder on Punk's knee. KO stomps Punk in the nuts then stands on his nuts. Punk hits foreamrs on KO then KO pop-up drops Punk onto a ladder. Trick corkscrew facekicks KO. Penta hits superkicks on Trick.

Evan is loaded into an ambulance and Pearce helps. Punk back body drops KO on a ladder. Penta hits a made in Japan on Punk. Bron gorilla press gutbusters Penta. Bron climbs a ladder and Lil Yachty joins him. Trick uranage's KO. KO stunners Trick. Yachty climbs a ladder then KO stunners him too .

KO and Punk fight on the ladder. Punk bangs KO's head off the ladder top and KO goes down. Penta pulls Punk down. Punk hits a GTS on Penta. KO eye rakes Punk on the ladder. Bron spears Punk then spears KO onto a ladder.

Penta hits leg kicks on Bron. Bron spears Penta outside. Bron runs around the ring and spears Trick. Bron spears Punk through the timekeeper's rail. The ambulance drives back into the arena then down the aisle to ringside.

Bron goes up to the ambulance door and Evans is driving the ambulance. Evans knocks Bron over with the door and says he's about to beat his @ss. Evans pounds on Bron. Evans springboard diving lariats Penta. Evans superkicks Penta. Evans corkscrew kicks Trick in the back of the neck. Evans superkicks Penta. Evans running shirnaui's Penta.

Bron then climbs the giant ladder. Penta pulls him down and superkicks him. Penta bangs Bron's head off the ladder then canadian destroyers him onto a bridged ladder. Penta climbs the ladder and grabs the MITB briefcase to win.

Thoughts: I didn't like this. It was slower. Everyone was hesitant to take bumps when being pulled off the ladder and it slowed this match down bigtime. Owens and Punk in particular took almost no risks here. I'm fine with people taking it easy, just there's ways to limit Owens and Punk without creating slow and awkward moments. This also went longer and just didn't impress. The big spot was Evans going off a ladder through an ambulance roof which was wild.

Overall thoughts: The show was long and it dragged. There was probably only 90 minutes of wrestling and it dragged out over 3 hours. There was so much downtime here and I felt like I could have done something else while watching it. Watching this live was a big mistake.

LA/Roman was okay and LA lost like usual. The Women's MITB match was dangerous with 2 big spots going haywire. Other than that it was fine. Oba/Reed was an okay heavyweight bout. The women's 3-way went well. The main didn't impress as it was slow and Punk/Owens were very careful doing anything involving the ladder. I'd give it a higher 6 out of 10 overall. It was an alright and a borderline good show.

WWE Wrestlemania 19 3/30/2003

WWE Wrestlemania 19 3/30/2003

Note: I originally reviewed this in 3 parts and wanted to put this into one post. My original reviews are here:

Part 1 - https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2013/04/wrestlemania-19-review.html

Part 2 - https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2013/04/wwe-wrestlemania-19-review.html

Part 3 - https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2013/04/wwe-wrestlemania-19-review_3.html

Wrestlemania 19 was the first ever Wrestlemania I ordered on PPV. I really loved WWE around this time. Okay, Raw wasn't the greatest but Smackdown had a pretty legendary roster. Every week there would be a mix of stuff from the famed Smackdown Six of Rey Mysterio, Edge, Eddie Guerrero, Chavo Guerrero, Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit. We also had the up and coming Brock Lesnar who was turning into a heck of a worker, A-Train who had good performances at times, Tajiri and Rhyno. While we did get crap like Mr. America, there was more than enough good stuff to make up for it.

The big story going into this was whether Kurt Angle would actually be able to wrestle or not. Kurt Angle has always been banged up and broke his neck coming into the show. The rumor was that Chris Benoit was going to be his replacement if he was too injured to wrestle. I was legit worried for Kurt Angle and was hoping not for a good match, but for Kurt Angle to not get injured any worse.

The other big news was that Stone Cold Steve Austin was hospitalized the night before. He was under a lot of stress and overdid it with energy drinks and almost ended up missing Wrestlemania completely. I didn't really know much about this though at the time.

Hulk Hogan vs Mr. McMahon was a heavily pushed match for this show and some would say it led to the show not doing as well as it should have.

Wrestlemania 19 is one of my favorite Wrestlemania's. I usually have it at #2 below Wrestlemania 17. The match quality was top notch and it had a great mix of stars and wrestling.

One final note is that Bill Goldberg debuted on Raw the night after this show. Why they had Goldberg not debut at Wrestlemania is beyond me, but whatever.

---

Pre-show Match -  WWE World Tag Team Championship -  Kane and RVD vs Sean Morley and Lance Storm

Ah, Kane makeshift tag team #1000. The Dudley Boyz were at ringside here.

Storm got the win here after Bubba Ray Dudley hit an elbow on RVD. Odd match here which I could definitely use some help in understanding. Apparently the Dudleys were siding with the faces for some reason but then turned on them anyway? I dunno. I also don't know why the ref didn't DQ someone when the Duds were in the ring. The faces looked good here with Kane busting out a dive which was cool, but the storyline was dumb.

Main Show

We are in Seattle, WA. Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler are on commentary for some matches and Tazz/Michael Cole are on commentary for the others.

WWE Cruiserweight Title - Matt Hardy vs Rey Mysterio

Matt Hardy got the win with a reverse of a roll-up from the Electric Chair position. Good match here with a fast pace. This was all action and both guys looked pretty good. There was a little too much interference from Shannon Moore but it's hard to complain about anything else here. Rating:***1/4

The Miller Light Catfight Girls argued over which match they wanted to see more.

Nathan Jones was laid out by The Big Show and A-Train. I'm not sure what the reasoning behind this was other than, it's Nathan Jones. Nathan Jones had everything you would want in a wrestler, except for the fact that he was clumsy and couldn't work to save his life. They pushed him as this deranged ex-con but after seeing him in the ring, my interest waned. He had a really cool background though being in the World's Strongest Man, PRIDE FC and being a ripped 6'10 guy.

Handicap Match - The Undertaker vs A-Train and The Big Show

The Undertaker got the win with a tombstone on A-Train. The match wasn't bad at all with the heels doing holds on Taker until Taker made his big comeback with some help from Jones. A-Train was in shape here and actually had abs, which you know meant this was old. Show looked fine and Taker did a fine job as a face. The crowd liked it too. Rating:**3/4

The girls talked about how much they loved each other. Stacy Keibler brought up her advertising campaign with Test with the fans of Test being called "The Testicles" and she said she had some idea for the girls.

WWE Women's Title - Jazz vs Victoria vs Trish Stratus

Jazz was one woman I never got. She wasn't good looking and she wasn't a good worker. I thought she was too small to be Chyna and I thought Jacqueline was better.

Trish Stratus beat Victoria with a kick to the stomach/ribs. Good match here surprisingly. They kept the pace high, everyone made the extra effort and they hit some nice stuff. The crowd was into it and it really wasn't bad at all. Trish wasn't bad at all here and neither was Jazz or Victoria. Rating:***

The Rock was angry that the fans were calling him a sell-out and booing him. He said he was here to fulfill his destiny and beat Steve Austin at Wrestlemania. He was 0-2 against Austin at this point at Wrestlemania.

The Rock said this was the last chapter of their feud and The Rock said he would win.

WWE Tag Titles - Team Angle vs Chris Benoit and Rhyno vs Los Guerreros

Team Angle got the win after Rhyno gored Chavo and Shelton got the pin. This was disappointing. There were too many people out there and they got under 10 minutes which wasn't close to enough time at all.

Stacy and Torrie argued over whether McMahon or Hulk created Wrestlemania, then the catfight girls argued over it as well and then argued over whether to do it in ring or in bed. You know, when you have to have other people argue your case for your own ego, you have severe ego problems.

Shawn Michaels vs Chris Jericho

I remember being really excited for this one and hoping for Jericho to get the big win that he could have used.

Shawn Michaels got the win with a reverse on a backdrop. Excellent old-school match. There were lots of submissions with Jericho launching a nice gameplan of working on HBK's back and HBK trying to fight through it. Jericho got cocky and mocked HBK's mannerisms and just couldn't put him away en route to losing. Good heat here and a very good performance and smart match from both guys. Rating:****1/2

I do think the wrong person won here though. HBK had little to gain and a loss to Jericho would have done him little harm. Jericho losing showed WWE's lack of faith in him and the fact that while they did try to push him before, he was always a secondary guy.

Jericho hugged HBK after the match then kicked him in the nuts.

Sylvan Grenier was in referee attire and looking for Vince.

They did a commercial for Goldberg, saying he would come to Backlash.

Limp Bizkit performed and they did a catfight thing with Stacy Keibler, Torrie Wilson, The Coach and The Catfight Girls. The less said the better.

World Heavyweight Championship - Triple H vs Booker T

Ah, the infamous long crawl match. This was during Triple H's never ending title reign of terror. I was hoping Booker T would win this going into it, but I would have cheered Nathan Jones if he had a title match at that point.

There was some really awful commentary during the early portions with both JR and King agreeing that WCW was a joke.

Triple H beat Booker T with a pedigree. The pin to get there wasn't as long as its made out to be but it was kind of silly. The match just wasn't that great. They didn't click and Triple H wasn't that interesting. The commentary was really bad though. King made Booker seem like such a loser that he telegraphed the finish. He really buried him.

Street Fight - If Hulk Hogan loses, he retires - Mr. McMahon vs Hulk Hogan

Hulk Hogan got the win with the legdrop. This was a long brawl but it wasn't too bad. Both men bled a lot and you have to give them credit for going all out at their old ages. Roddy Piper came down to get some shots on Hogan and McMahon and Sylvan Grenier came down to help Vince out too. IT wasn't enough though. Vince made some great evil faces and with his blood, it made for good shots. His legdrop off the ladder was also pretty cool. Good match, surprisingly. Rating:***1/2

Shane McMahon came down to check on his dad after.

The Rock vs Stone Cold Steve Austin

I wasn't really interested in this one going into it. Austin had just returned and The Rock had just returned as well. The Rock fought Hogan a little bit before this and got mad that Austin won the "Superstar of the Decade" Award. It was Rock/Austin III at Wrestlemania but we kind of already had been there and done that and the match seemed to be thrown together. There wasn't much build to it either. Starting in 2002, Steve Austin just kind of felt like old news to me in WWE and it was clear that his best days were gone.

I should also state again that Steve Austin was hospitalized the night before this. He was stressed and had too many energy drinks and ended up in the hospital from it.

One last note is that this ended up being Stone Cold Steve Austin's last match.

The Rock beat Steve Austin with 3 Rock Bottom's. Good match here with great crowd heat and Rock really stepping it up with big bumps. They mostly relied on mocking each other and stealing finishers, but it worked. They both brought their A-Game here and The Rock was on fire. I loved Rock's selling and the cameras captured all of it well. Austin mostly got dominated here en route to losing. This wasn't the WM 17 classic, but it was very good and a nice way to cap off their feud. Rating:****1/4

WWE Championship - Kurt Angle vs Brock Lesnar

As I stated, Kurt Angle broke his neck a few weeks before this and I was mostly hoping he would make it out alive. I was very excited to see this one though as Lesnar and Angle just seemed like natural opponents for each other.

Brock Lesnar got the win with an F-5. Excellent match here. They mostly wrestled and exchanged holds and it was great. Kurt Angle was pretty awesome here with all of his submissions and represented wrestling well. Brock Lesnar's failed Shooting Star Press was really memorable and I thought he was dead after it. This was a great wrestling match with an old school feel to it. Good stuff here that is worth a look. Rating:****1/4

Overall thoughts:
This is still my second favorite Wrestlemania of all-time. Great show from top to bottom. Only Triple H's match was bad and even then, it wasn't that bad. The main, Austin/Rock, HBK/Jericho and Hogan/Vince were all pretty good and it was a great effort altogether. I really loved WWE at this time and if I could go back in time and watch a few shows live, this would have been one of them. This is a must see show and it is great from top to bottom!

WWE Summerslam 2026 Night 2 8/2/2026

WWE Summerslam 2026 Night 2 8/2/2026

Night 1 is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2026/08/wwe-summerslam-2026-night-1-812026.html

We are in Minneapolis, MN. Michael Cole and Wade Barrett are on commentary.

They sing the national anthem to start.

We see various wrestlers arrive.

Nick Aldis comes out before the Finn/Sami match starts. He says he's reinstated as Smackdown GM. He has a black eye. He says he's adding a participant to this matchup and it's Gunther. Why he would do this is unknown since he's been feuding with Gunther for months, but this story has never made sense. Gunther gets in the ring. He says he's adding another participant as well to make this fatal four way. It's Kevin Owens.

#1 Contender to the Undisputed WWE Title - Sami Zayn vs. Finn Balor vs Gunther vs Kevin Owens

KO hits shots on Finn and corner lariats Gun. Sami is shocked in the corner. KO corner cannonballs Finn and Gun. Sami and KO hug then punch each other. KO lariats and sentons him. KO top rope swantons everyone outside. KO top rope swantons Gun inside. Gun sleepers him.

Gun facekicks Finn then KO on the apron. Gun knees Sami in the gut and chops him down. Finn hits shots on Gun. Finn elbow slices Gun. Gun chops Finn down. Finn slingblades Gun and Sami. Gun shotgun dropkicks Finn then powerbombs him for 2. Gun crabs him and KO facekicks Gun. KO hits shots on Gun then boots him in the corner.

KO lariats Gun. KO 2nd rope twisting suplexes Finn. Sami throws KO out and gets a 2 count on Finn. Finn knocks Sami off the buckles then KO knocks Finn off the buckles. KO tries a top rope swanton but Sami gets his knees up. KO holds his neck/head. The ref backs up Sami. Gun intercepts Sami's helluva kick with a sleeper. Finn top rope double stomps Sami.

Gun chops Finn and Finn gets a 2 count on him. KO stunners Finn and then Gun. Sami blue thunders KO for 2. KO superkicks Sami then stunners him. KO pins Sami.

Thoughts: It was a shorter but entertaining bout here. There was lots of fast action and lots of things happening. This was totally random and I assume Sami/KO will have some words over this. It was a good choice for an opener. Gunther loses yet another match where either a title or title shot is on the line and there's no way you can justify him being in contention for a title right now.

WWE United States Title - Trick Williams (c) vs. Baron Corbin

Trick hits shots on Baron and flapjacks him. Trick backhands him down and stomps him. Trick lariats Baron over the top. Baron is sent into the rails. Trick pulls out a Slim Jim Table. Baron hits a deep six on the floor. Baron sends him into the rails, post and steps.

Baron hits mounted shots on Trick. Baron hits punches in the corner. Baron lariats him down and hits mounted shots on his neck. Baron bangs Trick's face off the mat. Trick fights back from the apron and Baron eye rakes him. Baron grabs Little Yachty and sends him into the rails. Yachty grabs a kendo stick and Baron backs off.

Trick back elbows him in the ring then jumping neckbreakers him. Trick hits leg lariats and uranage's him. Baron rakes the eyes. Yachty hits Baron with the kendo stick and Trick cradle shocks Baron for 2.

Trick corkscrew facekicks him for 2. Baron pulls Trick's throat over the top rope. Baron grabs the US Title outside and Yachty grab sit. Baron grabs him and Yachty gets knocked off the apron through a table. Baron hits Trick with the US Title then hits an end of days for the win.

Thoughts: Big upset here as I did not see Baron winning. What we got was acceptable and worked a little better than I thought it would. It didn't get a ton of time.

Interim WWE Women's Title - Ladder Match - Tiffany Stratton vs. Jade Cargill vs. Chelsea Green vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Lash Legend

Jade goes after Flair in the aisle. Jade is sent into the rails and Flair is sent into a ladder. Jade's head is banged off a ladder. Tiff is caught jumping off the steps and Lash powerbombs her into a ladder. Green's tope is caught by Lash and she is chokeslammed into a ladder.

Green is thrown over the rail. Flair kicks Lash and chops her. Lash blocks a forward handspring lariat. Lash slams Flair onto a ladder. Tiff and Green hit superkicks on Lash and Jade. They hit attacks on the ropes on Lash and Jade. Tiff and Green hit stereo mounted corner punches. Jade and Lash pump kick them down.

Jade germans Lash. Flair top rope crossbodies Jade. Flair hits Jade in the gut with a ladder. Lash gorilla press drops Flair. Tiff jumps off a ladder and codebreakers Lash. Thoughts:
Big upset here with Green winning. I figured Tiff was a lock since this is closer to her hometown. Green winning was not built up that well at all. The match was alright and went a lot better than I expected. They didn't have any big botches and it was mostly safe.

Human Monies on a Pole Match - Danhausen vs. Dominik Mysterio

The money is in a white sack with a dollar sign on it. It's not too high up. Dan rides his car out and he has Bret Hart inspired tights.

JD McDonaugh pulls Dan off the buckles and pounds on him. JD boots Dan in the head. JD top rope moonsaults Dan. The minihausen's appear and jump JD. JD boots one, slams another and chokeslams another. A mini dropkicks JD and springboard twisting headbutts him. We are told that one is the former El Torito and they call him "Toritohausen". JD takes a spinning ddt.

One of the mini's climbs the pole. Dom stomps the other Mini. Toritohausen top rope diving headscissors Dom then tope con hilos him through the ropes. JD throws Dan out and sends a mini into the rails. Joe Hendry then comes out with a guitar. Joe boots JD and hits him in the back with the guitar.

Dom boots Dan and they fight on the 2nd rope. Dan gets crotched. Dan curses Dom and fireworks shoot out of the pole on Dom. Dan then grabs the money and wins.

Thoughts: It was mostly all shenanigan here and nothing too great wrestling wise. At least Dom didn't eat a pin over this. Joe has really lost rank as he is now stuck doing this.

Dan throws money into the crowd after.

The Killer Bees, Rick "The Model" Martel, Greg Gagne and Molly Holly are in the crowd.

Penta 2nd rope diving canadian destroyers him on the apron for 2. Chad ankle locks him again. Chad grounds him and Penta submits.

Thoughts:
Chad won since he's in his home state. I didn't think this was good. Penta's selling was bad and the canadian destroyer on the apron should have finished Chad. Hopefully this title win helps out Chad here as he's been dead in the water since returning without his mask.

Chad cries. Penta takes the belt from Chad after and puts it around his waist. Chad's family joins him in the ring after. Chad talks on the mic. He says his name is Chad Gable and says he was born, raised and lives in Minneapolis. He says this is his family who has stood by him. He says he can finally say he is the IC champ. We then get some MUG Root Beer dog mascot that gives hi root beer.

Joe Tessitore, Corey Graves and Big E talk about the main event.

Thoughts: Roman won totally clean here. It got enough time. They did some callbacks to The Shield and did each other's moves here. It was a slower match and they did a lot of talking here. They started with the finisher trading at about the midpoint of the match after some weak brawling in the crowd. It was alright but nothing too great and it was similar to other Roman big main event matches. I figured Seth would win here to continue the angle they were pushing about Roman not being able to beat Seth, but that was not the case. I'm not sure where this leaves Seth now and it seems like a Smackdown run may be in his future.

Roman wants to do The Shield fist pose after and Seth does it with him.

Overall thoughts
: The opener was entertaining. Trick/Baron was acceptable and the ladder match was alright. Dom/Danhausen was all shenanigans. I didn't like Penta/Gable that much. The main was alright but it was slower and had a lot of finishers. The main was probably the match of the night due to a lack of other candidates. The show really could have used a stronger semi-main event and some bigger moments as this was nowhere close to WWE's best work. I liked Summerslam Night 1 more than Night 2 but would give it the same rating of a 6 out of 10. It was okay overall.

Liv goes for a moonsault off the top but Liv gets her boots up. Iyo headflips out of oblivion and is codebreakered. Liv hits oblivion again and pins her.

Thoughts: There wasn't a great story or anything but I liked what we got. Both girls tried a bit harder than usual, they didn't botch and things went well for the most part. I was a little surprised to see Liv win and am curious as to where this leaves Iyo now.

The Bloodline are in the back and Jey hypes up Jimmy.

We see some legends in the crowd like X-Pac, Dan Spivey and Jimmy Hart.

Keys powerslams Fatu over the timekeeper's rail. LA rolls up Jey for 2. Jey spears LA. Jimmy top rope splashes LA for 2. LA hits a BFT on Jey and pins him.

Thoughts
: It was okay but more suitable for a Raw match than a big show like this. They just didn't go all out or get to do anything special. The match did flow well though and probably worked out as good as it was going to go. Keys' powerslam over the rail was the highlight of this.

Gunther vs. Nick Aldis

They lock up. Gun wristlocks him. Nick kips up out of it and reverses it. Gun side headlocks him. Gun shoulders him over then side headlock takeovers him. Gun slides out and poses on the commentary table. Gun backs him up in the corner and chops him. Nick punches back. Gun jumps at him and is caught with a suplex for 2.

Thoughts: It was an okay bout here. Nick looked fine though he was definitely getting a little tired by the end. Gun got the win as expected. It's nice to see Nick finally get to wrestle in WWE after never getting a chance despite checking all the boxes.

Nick's wife and kid come into the ring after to hug him.

Brie lariats LR. Nikki hits running lariats on LR. Nikki neckbreakers Jacy, forcing her to ddt Fallon. Nikki facebusters LR for 2. LR cradles Nikki for 2. Nikki forearms LR. Paige cannonballs Fallon from the apron.

Paige slingshot sunset flips Jacy. Jacy spinning forearms Paige  and pins her.

Thoughts: It was an average match. They didn't botch too bad but the work just wasn't great. I'm kind of surprised the faces lost since The Bella's are re-united again here.

The Bella then beat up Paige after in a surprise turn. Brie TKO's Paige and The Bella's leave Paige laying. Nikki says "lesson learned, you'll never take my spot".

We get a cool Street Fighter style character select screen with WWE wrestlers.

Cody is on the commentary table. Punk misses a top rope elbow drop and goes through the table. Cody walks up the buckles and dives on the ref when Punk moves. Punk hits a GTS on Cody. Cody hits a cross rhodes and Punk rolls out. Randy Orton returns, runs in and RKO's Cody. Punk hits a GTS on Cody and pins him.

Thoughts:
It got a lot of time and had a little bit of a slower pace to it (maybe too slow at times). It was a good match overall with Punk working the arm and Cody working the leg. Randy Orton returned, bringing back his Mania feud with Cody, and at least gave Cody an out here. Punk's top rope moonsault was bad and I was very surprised he tried that dive through the commentary table.

Corey Graves, Big E and Joe Tessitore talk about the Cody/Punk match then hype up the main.

Hell in a Cell Match - Oba Femi vs Brock Lesnar

Oba punches through a chair and pop-up sitout powerbombs Brock on the mat. Oba pins him.

Thoughts: It wasn't quite a classic. There was no blood and the wildest spots was Oba's bump on the wooden planks. They just never really tried to get this to the next level or do anything too crazy. It was a shorter bout also. It was alright but it could have been a lot more.

Brock hugs Oba after and raises his arm. Brock gets on the mic and says Oba is the future of WWE. They shake hands. Brock says he's the past and Oba is the future.

Overall thoughts:
Liv/Iyo was okay. The trios match was also okay but would have been better suited for Raw or SD. Gunther/Aldis was fine. The women's match was average. Cody/Orton was good and was the match of the night. The main was alright but it was shorter and the risks were kept to a minimum.

Sadly, this was show pretty typical of recent WWE PLE's. The days of classic PLE's with everyone giving their all, getting longer matches and making the show special are long gone and do not seem like they will be coming back. There were tons of commercials breaks and probably as much downtime as there was wrestling. I'd give this a 6 out of 10 overall as the wrestling was fine, but there's nothing you'd need to see here and this isn't something I would ever rewatch. Skip this one.

Thoughts:
Oba won quick here. It wasn't anything particularly special. Jey got a lot of offense in, didn't get too far with it and Oba made his comeback and won. Jey getting to this point helped him out some after he got re-demoted to being Roman's lackey this year. I don't mind Oba looking strong but they don't have enough names for him to do this with forever.

Nick Aldis gives Oba the crown after. Byron interviews Oba in the ring. Oba says it feels so good to go from The Ruler to The King. He says Jey thought he was fighting just one man. Oba says you can't beat destiny and you can't beat him.

Thoughts: They tried to push that Iyo hurt her leg here but it was at the end and it wasn't focused on. Liv had a better performance than usual but didn't add a ton to this one. The crowd was not super into this and that didn't help it. I thought it was acceptable.

Iyo is given the crown after by Nick Aldis. Byron interviews Iyo. Iyo says, "I am the queen". Iyo says she will see Liv at Summerslam.

Steel Cage Match - Seth Rollins vs. Bron Breakker

Thoughts:
It checked all the boxes here and it was an okay match. I don't think it got close to great though. I think they needed a bit more intensity, some blood would have helped it and they could have just sped things up at times as it was a slower paced match. I didn't think it had any real major flaws. I was a bit surprised to see Bron lose and I'm curious where things go with either guy from here.

RS hits Trick before intros are over and pounds on him. Trick flying lariats RS. Trick hits chops and punches. Trick stomps RS in the corner then spinning heel kicks RS. RS grabs Lil Yachty's kendo stick outside and pretends like Yachty hit him with it. The ref ejects Yachty.

RS' lip is busted open. RS boots Trick in the face. RS jumping knees Trick. Trick hits a flying trick shot and pins RS.

Thoughts
: The crowd sucked here for this and the match wasn't anything too special. Trick did a little more than usual. There wasn't any great logic to this and Trick winning was never really in doubt. It was average.

RS gets behind Trick.. Trick backhands RS. Lil Yachty hits RS with a kendo stick. Yachty hits a people's elbow on RS.

Jade tries to grab the Women's US Title. Charlotte Flair comes out, takes it from Jade and hits her with it. Tiff double jump moonsaults Jade and pins her.

Thoughts: I was glad Tiff won. Tiff mostly did all the work here and Jade mostly caught her and threw her around. I found the various outfits to be ridiculous here. Why would Fab, Green and Charlotte wear bodysuits when they even wrestling on this show? Wouldn't they just wear normal long sleeve clothing instead? The match wasn't anything too special. After they do Jade/Charlotte, I wonder what is left for Jade on SD.

Sami slips out of a cross rhodes and pins Cody! Sami Zayn is the new Undisputed champ!

Thoughts: Sami's story for the last few years has been that he's the guy who couldn't win the big one. He finally won it here. Why? I'm not sure other than WWE being low on starpower. He's definitely not at his peak popularity wise and the build to him winning wasn't that strong. But it is done and there's no going back. I really would have done this in Canada where the response would have been 10x higher. It was your usual 3-way. Every time something would get going, the next guy would come in and things would reset. I thought there was a lot of story here with Sami and Cody but they only got into it a little. The match was alright enough but not too memorable aside from the result. The back body drop through the commentary table that Sami took was a pretty big bump. I assume we get Cody/Sami at Summerslam off of this. Gunther again has lost pretty convincingly and I don't really see an obvious direction for him here.

Sami says he's been challenging for 10 years and says he was told he would never do it. He says here it is.

Overall thoughts: The crowd either was not mic'd up well or they were just quiet for most of the night. That hurt all the matches. Additionally, Michael Cole had audio issues all night long which hurt things some. On paper, there was a lot at stake here but it didn't really feel like a huge PLE. Oba/Jey was a bit one-sided and Oba won. Iyo/Liv was acceptable and one of Liv's better matches...mostly due to Iyo. Seth/Bron checked all the boxes and was fine but never got close to being great. Trick/Saints was average. Tiff really worked hard against Jade but the match was nothing special. The main event was alright but really was only notable for Sami winning and ending his long run as the guy who couldn't win the big one. One thing I felt was noticeable is that a lot of people are kind of in the hole booking wise after this like Gunther and Bron and they are going to have to do some heavy work to pull them out. I'd give it a 6 out of 10 overall as it was okay and it was definitely better than some of their other Saudi PLE efforts. I really only see people remembering Sami winning the title here and not a lot else. I wouldn't recommend this one.

Thoughts: If you were looking for an epic, this wasn't it. Things were picking up some then the match ended. It was very even early on and Gun didn't really get to beat down Cody as expected. What we got of this was alright but it was disappointing and unfulfilling.

Gunther complains after and argues with the ref. Gun walks off mad.

LA Knight and Montez Ford are in the crowd having snacks and looking like geeks. The Judgment Day girls are also in the crowd.

RR goes up top Fab and Michin. Charlotte Flair jumps off the rails onto Mich and Fab. Fab is sent into the post. Jade hits a jade end on RR and Flair puts RR's leg on the ropes.

RR headbutts Jade then hits riptide on her. RR wins.

Thoughts
: Rhea thankfully won here. B-Fab had one drop and she botched it, leading to a situation where Rhea had Jade down for the pin but the ref didn't count it. Jade didn't add a lot here though she took more bumps than she ever had taken before. It was just average at best.

Brock Lesnar vs Oba Femi

Brock hits Oba as he takes off his necklace. Brock F-5's him 4 times for a 2 count. Brock kimura's him. Oba rams him in the corner to escape. Brock F-5's Oba for 2. Oba chokeslams him for 2. Oba lariats him over the top and goes with him.

Thoughts: It was a shorter bout. It wasn't much but F-5's and kimura's. It was basically a sprint. I didn't love it and I thought Oba kicking out of all the F-5's devalued that move some. Brock wins here and it surely will set-up another bout between them.

Brock says "1+1, you're done b!tch".

We see Bron Breakker and Austin Theory sitting in the stands. We also see Giulia and Santino Marella.

They show us clips from last night's incredible El Grande Americano vs El Grande Americano mask match.

We get an awful commercial for the new Scary Movie movie with various WWE wrestlers.

Sol top rope facebusters her for 2. BL pulls on the ref's arm, sending her into the ropes, which gets Sol crotched. BL superplexes her. Sol headflips out of a ddt then superkicks her. Sol tries a flying space tiger but undershoots and just falls into BL. BL blocks a springboard 450 lariat and uranage's her for 2.

Sol uranage's BL for 2. BL has her on her shoulders and Sol sunset flips her. Sol avoids a uranage and sol snatcher's BL. Sol pins BL and wins.

Thoughts:
Sol winning was a surprise. I don't think they did a good job getting Sol into this spot as she hadn't won a single match yet on the main roster. It was a faster paced bout and they didn't waste a lot of time. This was an okay match. I assume we are getting a rematch off of this.

Page, Iyo, Lyra and Evans are in the crowd.

World Heavyweight Title - Tribal Combat - Roman Reigns (c) vs Jacob Fatu

RR grabs a toolbox and slams it down on Fatu's hand against the commentary table. Fatu then says he "can't do sh!t now", implying he can't do the Tongan death grip. RR then hits Fatu in the hand again with the tool box.

RR stomps Fatu's hand in the mat. Fatu corner splashes RR then corner hip attacks him. Fatu runs around the ring outside and RR superman punches him. RR spears Fatu through what looks like heavily padded crash pad rail. RR spears Fatu in the ring for 2. Fatu talks more trash. RR pulls turnbuckle pads off.

Fatu pop-up samoan drops RR. Fatu double jump moonsaults RR for 2. RR low blows him on the kick out.

They trade shots on their knees then get up and trade. Fatu does the tongan death grip. Fatu's head is banged off the exposed buckles. RR spears Fatu through a table. RR running spears him and pins him.

Thoughts
: Roman won here definitively and talked a bunch of trash while doing it. There were no run in's and it hurt Fatu. There was no real need for this to be done the way it was, but this is why I dreaded Roman winning the title again. Roman does not help people out all that much by beating them and Fatu in particular needed protected since he's pushed as a bad @ss. Cole also hurt Fatu here saying that Roman "neutered" him.

The first half of this bout was very boring with some weak and slow brawling around the arena. It picked up some in the second half but really didn't compare at all to what we saw in the mask match night before. There was no blood, only one table spot and the most painful spot was probably Fatu getting the steps launched at his head. It was an acceptable to maybe okay main but it was not the classic showdown it could have been. Fatu's also now totally dead in the water coming out of this.

Jey Uso puts the ula fala on Roman. Jimmy comes out with him and they congratulate Roman. We see The MFT's in the crowd looking at Roman. Roman tells The Uso's he's got something for Solo. Jey tells Fatu to come with them. Fatu is hesitant and Jey tells him to hurry up like he's a little b!tch.

Overall thoughts
: It was a weak PLE. We had two matches with sketchy finishes to start things. Cody/Gunther was shorter and didn't get to be anything great. Rhea/Jade had a botched moment near the finish that really hurt things and that match was average. Oba/Brock was short finisher spam. Becky/Sol had a faster pace to it and it was okay. Sadly, I'd say it was the best match on here. The main was slower, longer and buried Fatu. It was acceptable but was nothing memorable. I thought this show was a waste of my time. It's a PLE. These are supposed to be big shows where everyone goes all out and we get definitive conclusions to various feuds. We didn't really get that and this was clearly there to build up other shows down the line. I thought it was also lame that they had people like Bron, LA Knight, Liv and others literally eating popcorn and drinking soda instead of wrestling. I'd give this a 4 out of 10 overall and I thought it was below average. I don't recommend this one.

Seth grabs a chair outside. Austin Theory and Logan Paul go after Seth and are hit with chairs. Seth curbstomps Austin on the floor then chases Logan away with a chair.

Seth rolls in and gets speared for 2. Bron goes for a spear and Seth kind of turns it into a pedigree. Seth comes off the 2nd rope and Bron spears him. Bron hits another spear and pins Seth.

Thoughts: It was nice to see Bron get the win. It was a good match with them having a lot of near falls. Bron spammed the spear a bit much and the selling could have been a little better but I liked it. Seth going after Logan and Austin was a dumb kayfabe move and hard to even believe to be honest. They had a couple of sloppy moments here. Bron hit a nice lariat here. I was surprised they had Bron win relatively clean when a dirty win would have sparked a rematch.

Trick Williams and Lil' Yachty are interviewed. Trick says Sami is lying when he says he feels great. Trick says he's been running this and is the puppet master. He says the games are over tonight.

Trick lariats Sami on the steps. Sami ddt's Trick on the steps. Sami running kicks Yatchy from behind outside. Sami misses a helluva kick and Trick hits a trick shot to win.

Thoughts
: Sami was on full on heel here. He pounded on Trick a lot and beat up Yatchy. It was a bit one-sided at times but Trick picked up the win as expected. I wouldn't say it was great or anything but I don't think the type of match they were doing here was really going to be. Trick still really needs some exciting offense and I don't know if we will ever see it. It was average.

Yachty throws money up in the air as Trick poses on the ropes.

The Miz and Kit Wilson vs Danhausen and Minihausen

Dan has a cloning machine in the entrance. He opens it up and a midget comes out in Danhausen gear. The midget then rides to the ring with Dan in his car. Cole calls the midget "Minihausen".

Dan pump kicks Kit. Miz rolls up Dan for 2 then facekicks him down. Mini top rope diving headscissors Kit out. Mini topes Kit. Kit goes up the entrance way and boots Mini when Mini follows him. Kit throws Mini into the cloning machine and closes the door. We see someone walk in the back of it dressed like Dan. Lights shoot out of the machine and a bunch of minihausen's attack Kit. Minihausen airplane spins Kit and wasteland's him. Mini tries to curse Kit but Kit holds his mirror up at him. Miz gets a 2 count on Mini.

Miz slaps Dan. Dan thesz presses him and hits mounted shots. Dan lariats Kit over the top then lariats Kit over as well. Miz grabs a fire extinguisher and goes to spray it but nothing comes out. Miz then sprays himself and Kit on accident. Mini top rope plancha's Kit outside. Dan pump kicks Miz and pins him.

Thoughts: This was Doink and Dink reincarnated. It was all comedy and goofing around here and was way over the top. Vince would be proud of this one. Someone with booking power is having way too much fun with Dan.

Dan and the midgets dance after. They all then struggle to run away together.

Iyo Sky vs Asuka

They lock up and Iyo is rolled down. Iyo then rolls her from the bottom rope but the lock up stays on. Iyo tries to clean break her and Asuka pushes her. Asuka side headlocks Iyo. We get a "We Want Kairi" chant. Iyo side headlocks Asuka. They shove each other and Asuka hits forearms. Asuka spin kicks her in the gut. Asuka chest kicks her while she is on her knees. Iyo forearms her then rolls her into a double stomp. Iyo hits shotei's and bangs Asuka's arm over the top rope. Iyo top rope dropkicks her. Iyo corner meteora's her for 2. Asuka hits some strikes and sliding kicks her for 2.

Thoughts: It was a good, long match. They stiffed each other, Iyo flew around and the spot where Iyo blocked the mist was pretty cool. There were a few sloppy moments but it was nothing bad. These are two girls who have been working together for over 10 years and this was never going to be bad. It was nice to see them get a ton of time to do their thing. We got a couple rounds of "We Want Kairi" chants here, though the rumor is she left WWE on her own accord.

They hug after and Asuka kisses her. They both then walk out without any trouble.

They show Dan Spivey and Steve Keirn in the crowd but Cole stupidly confuses the two.

John Cena comes out to the ring. Cen says this is cool and thanks everyone. Cena says moments like this make him think of the next phase of his WWE career. The crowd chants for one more match. He says he thinks about his last match and was happy but says others were upset by it. He says it was an evening of opportunity. Cena says we saw Sol Ruca, Je'Von Evans and Oba Femi at that show.

Cena says debuted 4 months ago and was strutting and kicking Brock's @ss at Mania. Cena says it hit him and they gotta do this again. Cena announces "The John Cena Classic". He says it'll have the best of today competing vs the best of tomorrow in the hopes of being crowned a champ. He says it's a brand new event and a brand new championship in the WWE. He says it's a title he's putting his name on. He says he's striving for a certain level of excellence and wants to make it special.

Cena says our voice will be heard louder than ever before as the fans will vote to crown the champ. He says every participant qualifies. He says a star may not win the match but could win the vote and become champ. Cena says he doesn't want to just do it for just one year and says the sky is the limit. Cena says this city means a lot to him and you can add this to the list. He thanks the fans for the noise. Cena says he will see us at the John Cena Classic and says it's time for the main event.

Thoughts:
The most popular wrestler is probably going to win this thing. It depends on how they set up but if it's truly a legit vote, we could get some odd results off of this.

The commentators shill root beer with a dog mascot.

World Heavyweight Championship - Roman Reigns vs Jacob Fatu

Fatu has one of those Hawaiian flower necklaces on.

They lock up and RR side headlocks him. RR shoulders him over and Fatu gets up as RR poses. They lock up again and Fatu side headlocks him. Fatu shoulders him over. RR lariats him then Fatu lariats him down. Fatu lariats him over the top but RR lands on his feet.

Fatu grabs the tongan death grip. RR takes the turnbuckle pad off, bangs Fatu's head off of it and spears him. RR pins him.

Thoughts: It was a good match and probably the best match of the night. The two matched up well, they kept up a good pace and they did some smart stuff here with Roman working the fingers and needing shortcuts to win. I don't love Fatu losing and I probably would have just had Fatu win by countout. But that's really only complaint about this.

Fatu puts the tongan death grip on Roman after. The ref breaks it up twice and Fatu pop-up samoan drops him. Officials come in to break it up. Fatu superkicks Hurricane Helms thn throws Adam Pearce out. Fatu puts the hold on again.

Fatu yells, "I told him", a few times. Fatu leaves then comes back to do the death grip again. Fatu then holds the title up over Roman.

The show ends. Cathy tries to interview Roman but it is cut off. Fatu says he kicked Roman's @ss and says he told us how wild he is. He asks when the last time you saw somene like him get crashed out. He says Roman's punk @ss just realized he's all gas and no breaks with it.

Overall thoughts: I liked the opener and thought it was good. Trick/Sami was a bit one-sided and average. The Danhausen tag was something out of Vince's brain and was too over the top and unserious. Iyo/Asuka was a good wrestling match. The main was very good with Fatu and Roman really clicking well. I'd give this a 6 out 10 as we had some good, bad and average stuff here. I thought it was a good show overall and was better than I expected going in.
