WWE Evolve 1/21/2026

WWE Evolve 1/21/2026

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2026/01/wwe-evolve-1142025.html

We are the Performance Center in Orlando, FL. Peter Rosenberg and Robert Stone are on commentary.

We see Karmen Petrovic arrive earlier in the day. She says 2026 has been a crazy year so far. She says she's focused on the women's division. She says she will handle Kali Armstrong tonight and says she's been coasting on being the first champ. She says she will make sure the difference is made, but not by her.

Wendy Choo comes out to talk. She says it's a new year and a new her. She says she has 3 resolutions this year - to be unbothered, unfiltered and unapologetic. She says it's been a year and she hasn't had a title shot. She says she's calling out Kendal Grey, who opened up pandora's box.

Chuey Martinez and Kendal Grey come out. Chuey says Grey is supposed to take a week off after last week's defense. KG says she wants to fight now. A ref comes out and says it's official.

WWE Evolve Women's Title - Kendal Grey (c) vs Wendy Choo

They lock up and KG waistlock takedowns her. KG rolling armbars her and Choo goes for the pin. Choo tries a dirtnap and KG turns it into a pin attempt. Choo corner forearms and running facekicks her in the corner. Choo running dropkicks her. KG dropkicks her.
Choo cannonballs her off the apron outside.

We go to break and return. KG is booted while in tree of woe. Choo corner dropkicks her for 2. KG cradles her and Choo reverses it. KG rolls her up for 2 then they trade more pin attempts. They boot each other at the same time then double clothesline each other.

They trade forearms. Choo chops her and KG germans her. KG pulls the straps down and trips her. KG slingshot double stomps her for 2. Choo facekicks her then swinging neckbreakers her for 2. Choo does the dirtnap but KG rolls her off. KG rolling armbars her.

Choo gets a 2 count on her and is superkicked. Choo superplexes her and hold on for a brainbuster for 2. Choo chops her then KG flatliners her for the win.

Thoughts:
I liked this. The two matched up well and Choo was hustling. KG was her usual energetic self. This was a good opener and was one of Choo's better matches. Choo has put on some weight.

Kali Armstrong talks in the back. She tells Grey to do her thing as champ as their paths will cross again. She says Karmen keeps asking how she gets opportunities. Kali says she sees Karmen do nothing but run her mouth. She says she ran through her once and will do it again. She says she's all gas and no breaks until she gets her title back.

We see some store with odd statues. Nikkita Lyons and Arianna Grace walk into this dark place and look confused. Grace says they got an offer for a free psychic reading her. The psychic says she's been waiting for them. The psychic grabs both of their hands and freaks out. She says there is much darkness in their lives. She pulls up a conflict card, a suffering card and a destruction card. The lights flicker, the girls scream and they psychic says they must change their ways. They then run.

Thoughts:
Uh, well this was a lot different than what we usually get. It was over the top but I can buy the idea of them going to a psychic and being told to change thier ways.

They talk about Keanu, Eli, Legacy and The Vanity Project being promoted to NXT. They say they will still be on Evolve though.

Marcus Mathers vs Braxton Cole

The WWE ID crew and the WWE PC crew are watching this in the back.

MM hits punches on Cole. MM dropkicks him twice. Cole throws him in the corner. MM back elbows him. Cole running neckbreakers him. Cole hits downward elbows. Cole lariats him for 2. Cole euros him over. MM is stunnered over the top rope. Cole neckbreakers him for 2. Cole cranks the head and euros him over.

MM blocks a neckbreaker by holding onto the ropes. Cole misses a corner splash. MM double jump crossbodies him. MM hits chops and forearms. MM flying lariats him. MM springboard stunners him then germans him for 2.

MM forearms him. Cole release suplexes him for 2. MM boots him then hook kicks him. Cam Hendrix comes out and distracts MM up top. MM misses a top rope double stomp. MM goes after Cam and Cole rolls up MM to win.

Thoughts:
It got a enough time to play out here. This was the longest match we've gotten to see Cole do so far and he did fine. This was acceptable.

Cam clips MM after. Cole hits a reverse AA on MM. The WWE ID prospects try to help but are locked in the locker room. Cam pillmanizes MM's ankle with a chair.

Brooks Jensen and the WWE ID crew are pleased. Keanu asks what Brooks has going on. Riggins says Keanu isn't a people person guy but he's a killer. Brooks says they have control of next week's Evolve show. He says they are looking for people to inflict pain on the ID clowns. He says he wants to inflict pain on Cappuccino Jones. He says he will win the match and knock his head off his shoulders. He asks Keanu what he thinks and Keanu says he can ride with that. Jax says they can make that happen and more. Harley says they got some things cooking and more.

Harlem Lewis says he only cares about Jackson Drake being here next week. He says WWE ID and WWE PC can fight for control but he will fight for gold. He says Harlem Lewis is the next Evolve champ.

Kali Armstrong vs Karmen Petrovic

Kali trips her and KP get up and stares at her. Kali throws her off the waistlock then throws her down backwards. KP hits kicks on her. KP crucifixes her for 2 and bodyscissors her. Tyra Mae Steele is in the VIP Lounge and she has a new haircut. We are told Tyra is going to stay in Evolve.

KP tries a pin on Kali and Kali back elbows her. KP kicks her out of the corner then tilt-a-whirl bodypresses her. KP armlocks her. Kali sends herself out to the floor then KP topes her outside. We go to break and return. Kali hits corner spears on KP then does a hard running corner spear. Kali running facekicks her in the corner.

KP kicks her off the buckles. Kali misses a corner splash. KP hits flying ofrearms then hits a soul foot on her. KP sliding kicks her against the ropes. KP high kicks her then slingblades her for 2. KP backrolls her for 2. Kali powerslams her. Kali run the ropes but KP avoids her. Kali goes into the ropes. KP hits two low corkscrew kicks and pins her.

Thoughts
: This was an upset. It was a solid bout though and one of Karmen's better showing's. I didn't like the spot where Kali went out though as she just launched herself outside for no real reason. I liked this. I feel like Kali must have heat on her for some reason though. She went from making NXT appearances to losing to everyone on this show.

KP says that was her biggest win yet. She says she's the #1 contender to the Women's Evolve title and says she's got next.

Kendal Grey comes out. KG says they can do it next week and says anytime, anyplace.

We go to Team WWE PC in the back. They say they run things next week and that match is not happening. Cole says they run things. Keanu says it'll be a nightmare for WWE ID next week. Cam tells them to take care of Jackson Drake next week and he will become champ the week after.

Overall thoughts: The wrestling was good here. We had 3 matches only. The 2 women's matches were both good and impressive. Those couldn't have gone much better than they did. Mathers/Cole was an acceptable bout and I think Cole will be just be fine, though he doesn't seem super spectacular. This show was all about pushing Kendal Grey and the WWE ID vs WWE PC war. It was definitely a bit of a different show than usual with a visit to the psychic shop and a lot of people missing. I do feel like the bookers are getting more comfortable with the show though and things are flowing a lot more smoother than before. I'm not dying to do 4 hours of wrestling on Wednesday's, but this show is probably going to have 2 hours in the future so they can get more than 3 matches in. I'd give this a 6 out of 10 as it was a fun show.

AEW Dynamite 1/21/2026

AEW Dynamite 1/21/2026

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2026/01/aew-dynamite-1142026-maximum-carnage.html

We are in Orlando, FL. Excalibur, Tony Schiavone and Taz are on commentary.

Tony Schiavone interviews MJF in the ring. He brags about himself.  He talks about his title belt and says it costs more than the fans had in their bank accounts. He says he's the world champ. He says it's the year of the devil and nobody is on his level. Brody King comes down and gets on the mic. King says all he can think of is the various ways he wants to hurt him. He says nothing else would give him more joy than ripping out his spine. He says we all know MJF is just a b!tch.

King says he wants a match with him tonight. MJF says no. MJF says King is all bark and no bite. He says King has only beaten tomato can's and jobbers. He says he needs to beat elite talent and says the match won't take place until he does. He says if King interrupts him again, they will have a problem. MJF then backs off and says he has to go.

Jetspeed and Adam Page are interviewed. Page says they are the trios team and need a name. They offer some silly names. Page says he's fighting Shibata on Collision. Mike says he expects Kevin to do what he does best vs Swerve tonight. Page tells Mike that Joe hits hard and if he can outlast him, he can beat him. Kevin asks Page how he should beat Swerve. Page says it'll be a hell of a main event.

Samoa Joe vs Mike Bailey

Joe stalls outside to start. Joe backs him up in the corner and hits punches and headbutts. They trade forearms and Joe headbutts him. Mike facekicks him twice. Mike hits leg and chest kicks. Mike dropkicks him out. Joe blocks a baseball slide and chops him down outside.

Mike's head is banged off the rails. Mike flying kicks him outside. Mike baseball slides him then asai moonsaults him outside. Hook and Shibata come out. Joe back elbows Mike and boots him out of the ring. Hook and Shibata stomp Mike outside. Mike is sent into the apron edge.

We go to PiP break and return. They chop each other in the corner.  Mike boots him out of the corner and enzugiri's him from the apron. Mike top rope dropkicks him. Mike hits kicks on Joe then misses a running ssp. Joe misses a senton. Mike superkicks him. Mike top rope ssp's Joe for 2. They trade shots on the apron. Mike sweeps him on the apron then misses a standing moonsault double knee there. Shibata suplexes Mike on the apron and holds on to suplex him on the floor. Shibata then drops him knee first on his knee.

Joe stomps on Mike. Mike chops Joe in the ring. Joe drops Mike on his knees. Joe hits punches and then leg kicks him. Joe rolls Mike into an ankle lock. Joe hits leg kicks. Mike does a crane kick. Mike PK's him and moonsault double knee drops him. Mike buzzsaw kicks him for 2.

Mike corkscrew kicks him in the corner. Mike holds his leg after a missed 2nd rope move. Mike rolls up Joe for 2. Joe goes for a choke and Mike rolls him up for 2. Mike spin kicks him in the face. Shibata and Hook interrupt. Joe muscle busters Mike and wins.

Thoughts:
Mike won as expected here. It went a lot longer than I thought the match was fine but there was a lot of interference that got a little annoying. These two matched up pretty well and hit each other hard.

Street Fight - The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia) vs The Don Callis Family (Rocky Romero, Hechicero and Lance Archer)

Don Callis is on commentary. Lance and Mox fight in the aisle. Yuta hits punches on Hech on the ramp. DG stomps a trash can into Hech's leg, DG ankle locks Hech on the ramp. Hech seemingly taps out but the ref ignores it (the announcers stupidly bring this up and you can see Taz looking confused). Rocky hits Yuta with a trash can lid then hits DG with it too.

Mox hits mounted corner punches on Lance. Lance takes corner attacks. Lance is held for a dropkick then double clotheslined over the top. Lance chokeslams Yuta through a table. We go to PiP break and return.

Yuta has a trash can on his head and is double basement dropkicked. Mox is triple teamed. Mox throws a trash can at Hech and RR is bakcb ody dropped over the top by him. Mox hits forearms on Lance. Lance crossbodies Mox. Marina Shafir gets behind Lance. Lance sets up a table in the corner. Lance grabs her by the throat and MS triangles him. MS grabs his ankle and Mox cutters Lance.

Lance running slams Mox through a table. DG chops Lance. Yuta flying knees Lance. Lance takes a flying knee + STO combo. Hech and RR do stereo submissions. DG and Yuta then put stereo submissions on. Yuta is lariated over the top. Mox double ddt's RR and Hech.

Mox grabs a barbed wire glass board. RR guillotines Mox in mid-air. Lance chokeslams Mox on the barbed wire and glass. Lance cannonballs The Riders off the apron. Pac hits Lance with a crutch on the ramp. Claudio then hits Lance with the crutch and bangs his head off something that sparks.

MS low blows Hech. Mox bulldog chokes RR in the ring. DG piledrivers RR. DG sharpshooters RR. Mox curbstomps RR while he's in it and the ref says RR is out. The Death Riders win.

Thoughts:
It was an okay brawl here. Nothing too memorable and Mox  only got some blood on his back from the glass with no one else bleeding. Mox going into the barbed wire glass was the big moment of this one. The Death Riders won but the victor didn't matter that much here.

Mox gets in Don Callis' face at commentary and says  to tell his boy where to find him.

Thekla's crew does a promo. Thek says they give title shots to everyone but Kris Statlander gets mad when she pins her. She says she will give her one week to enjoy her life and prepapre her friends and family. She says she wants her title shot next week. Hart says Willow is the TBS champ and they never had their rematch so she wants it on Collision. Thek then spits in the camera and says to drown in the taste of toxic.

FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) vs Alec Price and Jordan Oliver

Big Stoke says AP and JO picked the wrong night to try and impress the world. Stoke says he hopes Mark Davis and Jake Doyle are watching. He says visit helpbigstoke.com and donate something for his injuries. He says to give it up for FTR.

Cash wristlocks JO then waistlock takedowns him. Cash side headlcoks him. Cash shoulders him over twice. Cash cradles him for 2. Cash chops him in the corner. JO goes up and over him then hiptosses him. JO double chops and dropkicks him. Dax is then dropkicked too. JO's team htis stereo topes.

AP suicide dives outside. JO top rope crossbodies Cash then AP top rope M. Bison stomps Cash for 2. Cash lariats AP. Cash htis chops and euros on AP in the corner. Dax takes a fameasser and a low dropkick. JO backrolls Dax for 2 then sunset flips him for 2. Dax lariat JO over then flapjacks AP. Dax short arm lariats AP.

Dax chops JO in the corner. JO bodypresses Dax down when Dax can't superplex him. JO gets a 2 count on it. AP boots Cash on the apron and JO is thrown out. AP takes a big rig and is pinned.

Thoughts: The faces were a little sloppy here. They flipped and flew around as expected. It was alright but I don't love debuting teams with losses and that's what they did here.

Kris, Willow and Harley do a promo. Kris says Thekla doesn't know who she is. She says her mind is greater than Thek thinks. She says if anyone wants an eliminator match on Collision, she will show what she is about. Willow agrees to Hart's rematch idea and says she can't wait to powerbomb her again. Harley says she will also be there. She says don't think they forgot about Skye and she says they will punch her in the face if she gets involved.

Kenny Omega vs Josh Alexander

KO gets hit from behind during his entrance and he rolls down the ramp. JA rams him into the apron edge. Don Callis hits KO in front of the ref but they say the bell didn't ring so it's okay. JA chokes Kenny with something then throws him into the steps. KO hits punches on JA then moonsaults off the rail onto him. KO slingshot plancha's him outside.

The match officially starts. KO hits chops on JA. KO boots him and headbusters him. KO hurricanrana's JA. KO facekicks JA off the apron. JA drops KO on the apron with a slam. We go to PiP break and return. KO chops JA then JA knees him in the gut. JA torture rack bombs him for 2.

JA boma-ye's him. JA hits a green bay plunge for 2. JA is sent into the post then KO dragon suplexes him on the exposed floor. KO tope con hilos him outside. KO top rope dropkicks him from behind. KO ushigoroshi's him for 2. JA gamengiri's him. JA goes for a suplex over the top and both fall outside.

They trade forearms outside. JA's head is banged off the commentary table. KO then chases Don Callis away. JA ankle locks him outside and bangs KO's leg off the apron edge. JA crossbodies KO's back on the apron. KO pumping knees him on the ropes, powerbombs him the running pumping knees him for 2. KO hits a one winged angel on JA and wins.

Thoughts
: I didn't like it. Josh took a dragon suplex on the exposed floor and wrestled for another 10 minutes without an issue. That should have taken him out yet it meant nothing here. I also didn't like the nonsense with the "match not starting" despite them being out there and fighting.

Omega says Don Callis struck while he wasn't at 100%. He says he hasn't felt this good in years. He says Don doesn't have one member that can beat him at where he's at now.

Taz does a breakdown of MJF's armbar and crossface on Bandido. Taz did one or two these a long time ago, stopped, then revived it here.

Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford vs Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa

The faces head in and the fight starts. The faces hit shots on the heels. Toni boots Meg in the corner. Mina and Toni PK Meg. Toni twisting drops Mina onto Meg. Mina slingshot tornillo's Meg for 2.  Meg lariats Mina then fallaway slams Toni. Meg throws Mina out onto Toni but overshoots and Mina lands on the floor. Mina is down for a bit after this then Meg throws Ford onto them.

We go to PiP break and return. Meg gets a 2 count on Mina. Meg chops Mina in the corner. Mina boots Meg out of the corner. Meg germans Mina. Mina top rope dropkicks Meg.

Toni comes in and hits dropkicks and snapmares on Ford. She facekicks her. Toni germans Ford. Toni corner hip attacks Ford. The faces double hip attack the heels off the apron. Mina goes up the buckles and plancha's the heels outside. Mina top rope diving slingblades Ford for 2.

Mina high kicks Meg. Meg flying facekicks Mina then throws Ford into a cutter on Mina for 2. Toni ddt's Meg then ford stunners Toni. Mina urakens Ford. Meg flying lariats Mina. Mina takes a doomsday device and is pinned. Marina Shafira comes out and does mother's milk on Toni.

Thoughts: It was a good tag here. Mina was definitely rocked from being thrown to the floor and Shafir was late on her run-in at the end but the actual work was good. I thought the girls hustled and Toni tried hard.

Swerve Strickland vs Kevin Knight

They lock up. SS firemans' carry takeovers him. SS throws him. SS takes him over and headscissors him from the mat. KK headflips out. SS takes KK down. KK armdrags him into an armlock. SS is pulled over the top but flips on the apron. KK slingshot plancha's him outside. KK top rope crossbodies SS then does a dance.

KK is sat up top and SS chops him down to the floor. KK back body drops him off the steps to the floor. KK steps up to the apron and dropkicks SS outside. MJF is watching in a skybox. We go to PiP break and return.

SS torture rack backreakers KK. SS dances. KK hits forearms and punches him. KK suplexes him. KK hits punches and jumping lariats him. KK slams him. SS rolls into a flatliner on him. SS running facekicks him. KK sunset bombs SS then rolls into a jumping ddt on him.

They go on the apron and SS death valley drivers him on the apron. SS piledrivers him on the rail top.
SS top rope 450's KK. He then dragon sleepers him. SS goes up top and the crowd chants, "please be careful". KK top rope hurricanrana's him down. KK coast to coast dropkicks him. KK hits a top rope 180 splash for 2. KK does a house call kick on SS. They trade shots and pump kick each other at the same time. SS flying house call kicks him in the air. SS hits a kudo driver on him. SS hits a JML driver on him and pins him.

Thoughts:
It was a bit of a longer bout. I liked KK copying some of Swerve's stuff and trying to show him up with SS eventually putting him down. I would have cut some of the stuff out like the death valley driver on the apron. I thought it was an okay bout overall though.

Overall thoughts: They went until 10:12PM here which I didn't appreciate. It was a very wrestling heavy show with only the opening segment not being wrestling focused. I didn't like Kenny/Josh but I thought the rest of the matches were fine. I would say the main was the best match of the night here. I'd give this a 6 out of 10 as they had a lot of good wrestling but not much else. This was an okay show but it was a little long.

WWWF Heavyweight Wrestling from Washington 5/9/1965

WWWF Heavyweight Wrestling from Washington 5/9/1965

Ray Morgan is our host and says this is the 2nd half of their card. He runs down the card.

The ring announcer Sam Mason then runs down the next show before the first match starts.

Tomas Marin vs. Bill Watts

Bill hits him from behind and bangs his head off the buckles. Bill chokes him then clubs him in the chest so hard that he goes over the top. Bill slams TM and knee drops him. Bill stomps TM's chest. then sends him face first into the buckles.

Bill stomps him in the corner then throws him over the top. BM flying knees him from the apron and chest clubs him outside. Bill stomps him in the ring. TM hits forearms and clubs. Bill hits punches to the gut and head. Bill chest clubs him on the ropes then drops him with one.

Bill boots him in the gut. Bill puts him between the ropes and boots the top rope into his throat. Bill then sends him out again. TM fires back with forearms and dropkicks him. TM misses a dropkick and Bill knee drops him. TM is sent into the buckles and Bill boots him. Bill bulldogs him and pulls him up on the pin attempt.

Bill elbow drops his back and sends him into the buckles. Bill hits another bulldog and pins him.

Thoughts:
It was a total destruction of Tomas here. Bill did almost all strikes here. TM wasn't a bad face and took some big bumps out to the seemingly exposed floor. Bill also hammed it up quite a bit here. It could have been a little shorter but wasn't bad.

Chief Big Heart vs. Tony Newberry

Tony grabs Big from behind. Big hits some euros and pulls Tony's new shirt over his head. Big pounds on him and Tony goes out to regroup. Tony gets back in. Big puts Tony's shirt over his head again and clubs him. Big chops him while Tony is tied up in the ropes. Big hair throws Tony then chops him down and out of the ring.

Tony gets back in and stabs Big with something. He then chokes him with it. Big hits shots to the top of the head and chokes him. Tony is down on the ropes again and Big hits him. Tony trips him and grabs his foot. Big chops him in the throat. Tony rope breaks himself and yells at the ref.

Tony eye rakes Big and chokes him. Big chops back then chops him down. Big hits shots and Tony begs off. Big side headlocks him. Tony grabs the hair and eye rakes him multiple times. Big hits some uppercuts and chops Tony down. Big hits a wind up shot to the head. Big grounds him with a half-nelson while pinning the other arm.

Tony grabs the hair and hits palm strikes to the throat. Big fires back and does a war dance. Big back body drops him then hits him in the gut. Big chops him down. Big bow and arrows him and submits him.

Thoughts: Man was this a fight and a total brawl. These two eye raked each other, hit each other in the throat and just pounded on each other. Some of the strikes weren't the best but they really did a good job of making this look like a drunken back alley fight. Tony was fantastic here. He took big bumps, he begged off and cheated the whole way through. When they talk about wrestling for the people high up in the stands, Tony knew how to do it. There was more spirit in this than virtually anything else today. Add in a hot crowd and a good announcer and this was a lot of fun. They didn't do a lot, but they got as much out of it as possible.

Argentina Apollo vs. Bob Boyer

They lock up and clean break. Bob top wristlocks him and is thrown down. Bob headscissors him and AA headstands out. AA water wheel drops him. AA is put in a headscissors again and he handstands. He backrolls and has him in the tombstone position then puts him on the top rope. Bob is on the apron and he gets back in.

AA backrolls him but Bob trips him. Their legs are tied up on the mat and both are kind of stuck. They rope break. AA top wristlocks him then trips him backwards from it. He headscissors Bob over and they break.

Bob shoulders him over then side headlock takeovers him. AA back body drops him. Bob wristlocks him and AA cartwheels out of the hold. AA hammerlocks him. Bob scrambles and escapes. AA side headlocks him. Bob back body drops him. Bob misses a splash and AA gets his back. AA ties his legs up, pulls the arms back and gets him on his back. They then have their legs in the air and AA tries to pin him down.

AA indian deathlocks his legs, grabs his arm and sends Bob's legs up in the air. AA has a figure four variation on and they roll into the ropes. They debate with the ref about how to break this hold. AA ends up standing up and breaks the hold.

AA massage's Bob's leg and shakes his hand. They do a double knuckle lock and AA does a version of the shame hold on him. AA ties up Bob's legs and pulls on his arm. Bob rope breaks. AA Cartwheels and trips him. He doe it again and again. AA half crabs him and Bob pats him on the back. AA thinks the ref did it and AA lets go. Bob hits him from behind, snapmares him and knees him in the back. Bob kneelifts him. Bob snapmares him twice.

Bob bangs AA's face off his knee several times. They criss-cross and AA hits a hard crossbody. AA pins him.

Thoughts: It was a little long but it was a good technical match. Apollo did some great technical wrestling here and was moving around well. I liked the story of Bob getting outmatched and having to resort to dirty tactics to try and win this before going down.

AA chops him after and Bob fires back. They trade shots.

Chief White Owl vs. Steve Stanlee

SS hits him off the lock up and throws more punches. He pounds on him in the corner and Owel drops him with a shot. Owl does a war dance as he gets fired up and drops him with another shot. SS then slides out. Owl chops him in the corner. SS straightjackets him. SS boots him on the ropes then rakes his eyes.

SS grabs him by the nose and clubs him. SS rakes his face more. Owl backs him up in the corner for a break and SS bootgs him in the gut. SS rakes his face. Owl hits him in the gut. Owl ties up SS in the ropes. SS gets out, runs at him and is chest clubbed down. SS grabs him by the hair and hits punches.

SS eye rakes him then hits punches in the corner. SS beale's him then Owl dropkicks him twice. Owl snapmares him. SS eye rakes him and clubs on him. SS clubs on him and the bell rings as we go to a curfew draw at 6:05. They declare Owl the winner by decision.

Owl drops him with chest clubs, chops him down and tries to pin him but the match is over.

Thoughts:
Steve was definitely the old school bleached blonde heel type here. He had some good and bad punches but you could see the cockiness and maliciousness in what he did. Owl showed a little more fire than Big Heart did earlier. This went to a draw, so we didn't really get to see how this would play out. I felt like they were about 60% of the way through when this got cut off and it's a shame because I wanted to see Owl's comeback. It was just so-so.

Ray Morgan closes the show and talks to a fan in the crowd. The fan says he won't miss the next show and Ray sends us off.

Overall thoughts: I thought it was a good show, or at least what we saw of it was a good show. We had 4 matches. The opener was one sided but Marin wasn't a bad face and Watts was heelish in how he dealt with him. Newberry/Big Heart was a good back alley fight. Newberry sold and bumped big and they got rough with each other. I really enjoyed that bout. Apollo/Boyer was a good bout as well. Apollo showed some great technical wrestling skills which frustrated Bob. Bob then started heeling it up to even things up. The main only got 6 minutes and was cut off earlier so we don't know how it would have played out. Stanlee was a typical cocky heel here and did a lot of clubbing and eye rakes. White Owl looked a little better than Big Heart but we didn't get to see an ending here. The crowd was great for most of this and Ray Morgan was a very good car salesman type of announcer. This was almost all wrestling as well. I'd give this a 6 out of 10 as I really enjoyed 2 of the 4 matches here.

EPW Wrestling 1/17/2026 Episode #225

EPW Wrestling 1/17/2026 Episode #225

Gene Jackson and Joey Gross are on commentary. They run down the card.

CJ Blaine vs CJ Thomas

Thomas does a workout/personal fitness type of gimmick. Blaine running dropkicks his opponent and clubs on him. Blaine backrolls into a headscissors on him. Blaine dropkicks him off the apron. Thomas catches his slingshot plancha then pop-up drops him on the apron.

Thomas punches him down in the ring and chokes him while doing push-up's. Thomas hits a world's strongest slam on him then sleepers him. Thomas side headlock takeovers him. We go to break and return. Blaine headscissors him. Thomas does push up's on Blaine's back. Thomas bearhugs him.

Thomas boots him in the gut. Blaine goes up and over then hits flying lariats. Blaine hits kicks on him then codebreakers him. Thomas hits a hard running lariat. Thomas tries to use a belt on Blaine but the ref takes it. Thomas grabs chalk or protein powder and kind of throws it at Blaine's back. Thomas torture racks him and submits him.

Thoughts: They messed up the finish a bit as Thomas threw powder at Blaine's back and not his eyes. It could have been a little cleaner. Thomas' torture rack looked good. There was a significant size difference between the two.

Madi the American Badi is interviewed. She says she was cheated out of her title and kicked out. She says this is the biggest conspiracy since covid. Maddie says EPW as a whole is in on it. She brings up Corinne Joy, who then comes out.

Cor asks why her name is in Madi's mouth. She says Madi blew her shot by cheating. Cor says she's not worried about her or the conspiracy. She says she's worried about the EPW Title. Madi tells her to watch her back and leaves.

Two of the wrestlers talk in the back. They say The Order things they run roughshot around here. Mr. Swiss, the commissioner, comes in. He says they have a tag match tonight. He says if they don't win tonight, they are blacklisted. He says they won't work for EPW and he will call every promoter so they don't get booked back up north.

Elijah Owens vs Big John Dalton

They lock up. Big side headlocks him then shoulders him over. Eli kicks him the neckbreakers him for 2. ELi misses a corner charge and takes shots in the corner. Big backdrops him for 1. Eli back elbows him then Big hits a big german. Big is pushed into the buckles.

Eli clubs and stomps on Big. Eli chokes him on the 2nd rope. Eli spinning enzugiri's him then Big lariats him. Both go down. They trade shots on their knees then get up and trade shots. They chop each other. Big double chops him down.

Big corner splashes him. Eli boots him out of the corner then 2nd rope crossbodies him for 2. Eli grabs a chain and the ref takes it. Eli swings a chair at him but hits the rope and it rebounds in his face. The ref sees Big with the chair and the ref DQ's Big as he thinks he chaired Eli.

Thoughts: What we got of this wasn't bad and it's shame we had a goofy ending here. It's hard to figure out Big's size but he moves well for a heavier guy.

The Order come out for an interview. Eli Knox gets mad at the interviewer saying he won last week due to questionable circumstances. He says it's a good day to be in The Order as they have the champ Dorian Vane, the tag champs and him as the Apex champ. Eli says he defended his title fair and square. He says there's nobody that can step up. He says there's nobody left.

Diana Taylor comes out. Diana says Eli said there is nobody else and says Eli has an intergender title. Diana says she will be his first challenger. The Order's manager says she must be kidding him. He says, "A woman vs a man?" then he laughs. Diana asks if he calls Eli a man? The interview says they should do this now.

EPW Apex Title - Eli Knox (c) vs Diana Taylor

DT hits chops. She snapmares him then pulls his neck forward. DT gyrates and leg lariats him for 2. Eli goes out to stall. Eli throws him down off the lock up and poses. DT drops him with a forearm and Japanese armdrags him twice. DT side slams him.

Eli goes out and DT nails him from behind. DT forearms him and sends him back in. DT hits some big forearms. Eli backdrops her. Eli stands on her throat and poses. Eli gyrates on the 2nd rope and is crotched. DT kicks the buckle into his nuts. DT hits a back elbow then samoan drops him.

DT run the ropes and Eli's manager trips her. Eli fameassers DT and pins her.

Thoughts:
I don't like intergender wrestling but they did a good job with this. Diana was likeable and hit some good looking shots. Eli was a total jerk and made you want to see him lose, then he won via cheating. I liked this and was entertained by him.

Makkari Kandy tries to shake hands with Raven Black in the back. She says she won't shake her hand. Kandy hits her hat and the girl spits. Kandy says she doesn't have time for this as she has a title match.

EPW Women's title - Lil Bit (c) vs Makkari Kandy

MK blocks a hiptoss then armdrags her twice. MK blocks a double boot in the corner. MK lays her on the 2nd rope and double chops her down for 2. Bit throws her down backwards then pump kicks her. Bit sentons her for 2.

MK hits forearms in the corner then misses a splash. Bit hits kicks to the gut then foot chokes her. We go to break and return. Bit snapmares her and low crossbodies her for 2. Bit chokes her on the ropes then armbars her over the 2nd rope.

MK blocks a bulldog then lariats her. MK hits forearms then corner splashes her. MK snapmares her, walks on her neck then low crossbodies her for 2. Bit forearms her in the corner. MK superkicks her. MK lifts her up and Raven Black gets on the apron. MK is distracted and Bit rolls up MK with the tights and pins her.

Thoughts: It was acceptable. There was nothing wrong with this and they furthered the issues between Raven and Kandy which should lead to something. Kandy is an okay face.

Grayson Pierce and Marko Harris come through the entrance and are fighting each other hard. Mr. Swiss, the commissioner, tries to stop them. He says they are ruining his show. He asks if they wanna fight each other. He says he has a surprise - that's not what they are going to do. He says they will do it his way and they will team up together against opponents of his choice.

Marko Harris and Grayson Pierce vs Shawn Aries and The Maestro

Nope, this is not the WCW Maestro. GP and Marko do rock, paper, scissors to decide who gets in. GP then tries to slap him. SA and Maestro then attack them.

Maestro pounds on Marko. The other two fight outside. Marko dropkicks Maestro. GP tags himself in. Maestro lariats Marko hard over the top in a big bump. GP pulls Maestro's throat over then top. Maestro misses a corner charge and is high kicked. SA springboard lariats GP.

SA corner lariats GP, enzugiri's him then hits a hard PK. SA pumping knees him then death valley drivers him for 2. GP slaps Marko, which tags him in. Marko then chops GP down as GP yells at him on the apron. Marko and SA stare down. They shake hands. GP forearms SA over.GP and Marko shove each other. Maestro double lariats then. He backbreakers GP and throws him into Marko. Masetro facekicks Marko which forces a ddt on GP. We go to break and return.

Maestro gets a 2 count on Marko. Marko jumping knees Maestro. GP high kicks Maestro. Maestro takes a double lariat over the top. SA then is hit with a double superkick. GP wants to dive with Marko. They run the ropes and GP trips Marko.

GP's tope is caught outside. Marko then topes GP. Marko talks trash to him. Marko is spinning forearmed outside. GP goes in and Maestro spinning side slams him. SA top rope 450's GP for 2. Maestro pop-up euros Marko. GP pushes Maestro into SA. GP superkicks Maestro then Marko. Marko codebreakers SA while he's on the 2nd rope. GP top rope M. Bison stomps Maestro. Marko os cutters GP onto Maestro and GP picks up the pin.

Thoughts
: This was a good bout. I liked the story of Marko and GP hating each other and not being able to work together. Everyone was moving so fast here and I was rather impressed with the athleticism on display here. These guys also took some big bumps over the top.

Overall thoughts: This was a good show. It was easy to get through and had some highlights here with a rare entertaining intergender bout and a good main event with a lot of athleticism. They did a nice job building up some stuff for future shows and I feel like you could basically go into this without knowing anyone and still be able to enjoy it. I'd give this an easy 6 out of 10 and thought it was fun.

WWE NXT 1/20/2026

WWE NXT 1/20/2026

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2026/01/wwe-nxt-1132026.html

We are at the Performance Center in Orlando, FL. Vic Joseph and Booker T are on commentary.

Ava talks to security in the back. She says Tony D'Angelo will probably show up tonight and tells security to be on high alert tonight.

WWE NXT North American Title - Ethan Page (C) vs Elio LeFleur

This is Elio LaFleur's TV debut. Page shoulders him over and pats him on the head. Page shoulders him over. Elio kips up then springboard headlock takeovers him. Elio then pats him in the head. Elio upkicks him then bodyscissors him out. Elio jumps off the steps with a hurricanrana on the floor.

Page yanks him into a powerslam. Page grabs his mask and yells at him. Elio back body drops him. Elio springboard twisting crossbodies him the enzugiri's and twisting suplexes him for 2. Elio misses a top rope 450 and is facekicked for 2.

Page beats up on him while he's down. Elio slaps him then dragon suplexes him. Elio springboard and Pade dropkicks him in mid-air. Page yanks him up and is hit with a tornado ddt. Elio moonsaults him off the buckles outside.

Elio springboard flying knees him for 2. Elio hits a near coast to coast springboard dropkick for 2. Page gets his knees up on Elio's top rope 450. Elio hurricanrana's him then flying facekicks him in the corner. Elio tries it again but is powerbombed down. Page pins him while holding the tights.

Thoughts: I've seen Elio before and he wrestled like he usually does where he does a bunch of spots, doesn't sell any of them and goes fast. I thought they would have Elio get the upset here and I'm not sure why they didn't. Why start him off with a loss when he could win? It was acceptable but Elio's gotta slow down and do less.

Ricky Saints comes up to Page as he goes to leave. RS says they are the glue that keeps this place together. Page says he knocked sense into him the last time they crossed paths. RS tells him to relax in the back while he watches qualifiers.

Ricky Saints joins the commentary team. The commentators bring up Keanu Carver and said he didn't join for 2 years due to disciplinary reasons. We see Booker T and Keanu Carver argue on LFG, which we haven't seen yet.

Cam Hendrix talks in the back and Keanu Carver is yelling and slamming doors.

Booker has nothing to say about Keanu.

Hill is sent into the buckles and takes a running back elbow. JB piefaces him and Hill hulks up. Hill hits some shots and flying shoulders him. Hill top rope diving lariats him. Hill twisting double underhook drops him then inverted flips on him for 2.

JB facekicks him then chokeslams him. JB elbow drops him for 2. Hill double underhook suplexes him for 2. JB misses a top rope moonsault. Hill neckbreakers him and wins.

Thoughts: I was surprised to see Hill win here. It was a hard hitting battle and I found it entertaining. Hill showed some charisma and energy here and these guys both moved pretty well.

Tony D'Angelo comes in the ring and beats up Briggs and Hill after. Tony then stares at Saints before leaving.

Zaria and Sol Ruca talk in the back. Zaria asks where Sol was at the end of the Genesis match. Zar says her shoulder taken as a beaten the last few months. Sol says she can take most of the beating tonight. Zaria says she's not 100% and don't blame her if it costs them the match.

Swipe Right (Ricky Smokes and Brad Baylor) vs Chase U (Kale Dixon and Uriah Connors)

UC and RS go at it. They each do the side headlock takeover into a headscissors spot. RS shoulders him over and UC hurricanrana's him from the mat. RS forearms Kale and tags out. Kale rolls over Brad's back Brad takes a superkick in the gut, a legdrop then a standing moonsault. The heels take stereo superkicks. The faces then hit stereo topes on them outside.

UC is thrown off the top by Brad. We see Lexis King watching in the back with Stacks and Arianna coming up to him. RS facekicks UC for 2. UC hits slaps on Brad. UC takes a dropkick + spinebuster for 2.

Kale is tagged in. He forearms RS and goes up and over him. Kale hits lariats on RS. Kale hits kicks to the body and chops him from behind. RS is back body dropped over the top. Kale fosbury flops the heels outside. Kale top rope tornillo splashes RS inside for 2.

UC springboard stunners RS for 2. Brad is superkicked. Brad pumping knees Kale. Kale takes a top rope double stomp + reverse ddt and is pinned.

Thoughts: The announcers basically said that Chase U aren't doing that well which was interesting and truthful. The match wasn't bad. Chase U did more flying than usual and RS bumped big for the faces.

Ava talks to Robert Stone and says officers are coming here for Tony D. He says he can't keep having this. Lola vice comes in. She says she already beat Izzi Dame and talks about going to AAA. Thea Hail comes in. She says open challenges are risky and she wants her rematch. Lola says she's next for a title shot. Ava says they can fight on 2/3 with Izzi in a triple threat match.

Jaiaa Parker heads to the ring.

Keanu Carver does a sitdown interview. He says he's only here because he was told he has to be here and he says he's not answering questions. He is asked about disciplinary actions taken towards him. He goes to leave, Blake tries to help him get the mic off and he pushes him and says don't touch me.

Jaida Parker comes out. She says she's back but hasn't changed. She says she was out and watching some of the new girls. She says standards don't need to check and says standards get up again and again. She says she's the standard that refuse to bend. She says everyone has their opinions about her.

She says she might not be able to catch a break but she catches eyes and attention. She says pressure happens when she walks through the door and makes everyone sit up straighter. She says she is not going to pretend that she fits into a box. She says she won't dim her light so someone can feel safe next to her.

The lights go out and Blake Monroe talks on the riser. Blake says she made a mistake interrupting her last week. She says JP is just talk and doesn't get to stand in her way. JP says she talks so much as if she stopped talking, she might have something to prove. She says she'd have to deal with her at the end of the day if she kept talking.

Thoughts:
This was an interesting and unique segment with JP kind of doing a shoot promo. She did good with it too. What she said to Blake wasn't a lie either.

Ava talks to Myles Borne in the back. Elio LaFleur comes in and thanks her for the opportunity. Ava tells him not to worry about the loss. Ricky Saints walks past them. Borne says he will see him in the ladder match when he beats Dion Lennox. Ethan Page comes in and says that'll depend on the version of him that shows up. He says it depends on whether he will have killer instinct or be the guy that always loses. Page says the choice is Borne's but they both know what he needs to do.

NXT Title Ladder Match Qualifier - Sean Legacy vs Eli Knight

Sean does an inset promo. He says he fought to reach every rung on the ladder. He says he and his opponent traveled similar roads but only one can take the next leap and it's him. Eli does an inset promo. He says he grew up 20 mins from the PC. He says he saw the future get built and is now an NXT Superstar. He says he will bring everything he learned in ROW to Evolve to now. He says it's all about hunger and no one is hungrier than him.

Eli armdrags him and is armdragged. They sweep each other and try to boot each other at the same time. Eli side headlock takeovers him. SL then side headlock takeovers him. They try to dropkick each other at the same time and stand off.

SL armdrags him then dropkicks him. SL topes him outside. SL springboard crossbodies him for 2. SL hits chops. Eli slingshot flips over him then flips over him. Eli dropkicks him out. Eli asai moonsaults him outside. We go to PiP break, full break and return.

They trade punches. Eli facekicks him. Sean euros him. Eli step up enzugiri's him. Sean lariats him. They each get nearfalls on each other. Eli rolls and Sean superkicks him. Sean standing spanish flies him and springboard 450's him for 2. Eli overhead belly to belly suplexes him into the buckles. Eli does a top rope moonsault into a standing moonsault for 2.

Sean gets a 2 count on him. Eli hits a standing shiranui. Eli top rope moonsaults into Sean's boots. Sean hits shambles on him and pins him.

Thoughts:
It was the high flying match you'd expect. They didn't sell that great here but Eli looked good and is doing well for some one who is so brand new. Tony D comes back out and beats up both after. He chokeslams Sean on the commentary table. Saints picks up his chair to fend him off. Ava comes out with police who then arrest Tony.

We get an NXT Focus video on The Culling. Izzi says they won The N-A Title as it is what The Culling is all about. Niko says him and Spears need to reset their focus on the NXT Tag Titles. He says they will let OTM and Darkstate fight it out then focus on the winner. Izzi says she can count on them as The Culling always prepares.

TOny is taken out through the back and Ava says he left her no choice. Blake tries to interview Tony but Tony has nothing to say as he gets put in the car.

OTM walk by and Lucian pushes Blake. He says last week was a warning and they are coming for the tag titles. Price says they will show them real things can get next week.

The Vanity Project is with 2 unknown girls in the back. Drake says Chase U had no shot against them. Brad says Chase U isn't a real school. Robert Stone comes in and says Drake will face Joe Hendry in his ladder match qualifier then Joe Hendry appears. Joe says he will see them next week as he won't miss a shot at the ladder match. Smokes asks where the girl went as he says he kissed Joe Hendry.

Darkstate talk in the back. Shugars says OTM is tripping if they think they can take the titles. Cutler James says Tony cost them a match last week. He says Tony is safer behind bars than here. Dion says everyone wants a shot at them and that's what they asked for. He says he will whoop Borne's @ss and qualify next week. Shugars says they got NXT on lock. They say when they strike, nobody is safe.

TNA Knockouts Tag Titles #1 Contenders Match - WrenQCC (Kendal Grey and Wren Sinclair) vs Sol Ruca and Zaria vs Fatal Influence (Lainey Ried and Fallon Henley)

George Iceman/The Persona Concierge is in the front row.

Sol sunset flips KG then KG tries a pin on LR. Sol sentons them for 2. Sol backflips into a pin on LR. KG meteora's Sol. Sol kips down, jips up and does a double dropkick.

Zar hits a double lariat then hits corner attacks. KG rolls over Zar's back. Zar is chopped by KG's team then double backdropped. Wren bangs Zar's face off the mat and double underhook supelxes LR. Zar is sent into the buckles. Fallon trips KG and house call kicks her. Zar pulls Fallon out and kicks her. Zar backs up Jacy outside.

Sol spears Fallon outside. Sol hits a double sol snatcher inside. Zar F-5's Fallon and pins her.

Thoughts: It was a good tag. It was very fast packed and packed with action. KG moved well here and kept up with the pace easy. We got some flying, they teased some of the Zar/Sol issues and the heels cheated a bit. Wren had a strong performance here. This couldn't have worked out much better than it did and they should run this one back.

Overall thoughts
: It was a different NXT than usual with a lot of newer names getting time on the show. NXT is in a transition period and it was on display here. I liked the show. The main was good and worth a look and Hill/Briggs was an interesting brawling battle. Chase U's match wasn't bad either. Elio/Page and Eli/Sean were kind of flippy bouts though and not for me. Keanu Carver's new character was shown off a bit here. Jaida Parker had an interesting segment with Blake and poor Blake Howard got bullied here. I'd give this a high 6 out of 10 and I thought it was good.

NWA Powerrr 1/20/2026

NWA Powerrr 1/20/2026

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2026/01/nwa-powerrr-1132016.html

Slade waistlock takedowns him and rides his back. AT rope breaks and complains about the tights being pulled. AT slaps him. Slade takes him down and goes for the ankle lock. AT goes out and under the ring. AT comes from the other side and baseball slides him.

TVMA does a promo as we go to break. Tiff says The Hex is about to be history and asks who they are. The Hex come in. Marti says they are the first and longest reigning tag champs. The two teams argue and refs break it up.

We go to Beach Park Vista, which is some fancy apartment. Idol and Markova complain about Joe Cazana wasting their time with the inheritance. Idol says he knew she would be the greatest female wrestler since Day 1. He says they can't drop the ball. Markova says she will listen to him now but he needs to listen in the future. Idol says they got here because they listened to each other and need to keep doing that as nothing will stop them.

Silas Mason does a promo. He says the time is ticking for Thom Latimer. He says he's the one that's killing his wife and himself. He says he still has time to back out of their match but he won't. He says the title has twisted his view on the world and everything in it. He says it hurts him to know he wasn't good enough. He says Thom is looking at the only man who is capable of ruling and the man who is the champ of the world.

We go back to the match. Alex punches Slade then hits corner spears. Alex pulls his neck forward. Alex does a reverse figure four. Slade rolls him up for 2 and is hit with a back elbow. Slade overhead suplexes him then fires up. Slade ankle locks him but Alex rolls him into the post. Alex lariats Slade on the apron. Alex tries to hit him with his boot. The ref takes the boot. Alex low blows Slade for 2.

Alex puts on Slade's headgear. Alex goes for a cradle shock and Slade ankle locks him on the bootless foot. Alex taps out.

Thoughts: The match wasn't bad. Alex is a good wrestler and Slade does his part. I don't think they did a good job of building up to this though. There wasn't much of a build and Slade hasn't really been built up for this. Alex was champ for a long time so this loss should have meant more. I've always been waiting for Slade to get a chance so let's see what he can do.

Bryan Idol does a promo. He says he's excited as he has done nothing but prove he is worthy of the history and legacy of this company. He says he got the TV Title and gets to take on Rich Swann tonight. He says Rich won titles everywhere he has gone but he's ready to go all night long. He says looks kill and so odes he.

The Good Brothers talk. Karl says when they walk in, the tag landscape changes. Doc says the NWA has some of the best tag teams but they haven't had an injection of Good Brother momentum. Doc says when the gold is on the line, it's the magic killer, a 1-2-3 and a too sweet.

NWA Women's Tag Titles - TV-MA (Tiffany Nieves and Valentina Rossi) vs The Hex (Allysin Kay and Marti Belle)

This is for the vacant tag titles. Ms. Starr and Greta are with TVMA.

Tiff gets in. Val trips MB from the outside. MB takes a running facekick + russian legsweep for 2. Val boots MB in the corner and foot chokes her. Val stomps MB's back for 2. They trade forearms. MB jawbreakers her. Tiff front facelocks MB and pulls her down by the hair. Tiff hits elbows to the head. Tiff sits on her back and armlocks her.

Tiff side slams MB for 2. Val snapmares MB into a chinlock. Kay comes in and hits back elbows on Val. She stun guns her then running boots her. Tiff is on the 2nd rope and Kay hits a nasty chokeslam on her. Kay uranage's Val for 2 but the ref technically hits the mat 3 times causing confusion. Kay argues the count with the ref and Val rolls up Kay for 2.

Tiff is hit with a dominator + low flying kick. Ms. Starr pulls Tiff out. Kay grabs Starr and MB hits Starr. Tiff rolls up Kay and pins her.

Thoughts: The finish wasn't good and the messed up count added to it. They were having an acceptable match otherwise. Tiff got chokeslammed very hard here by Kay off the 2nd rope. Kay put a bunch of weight on since I last saw her.

The Hex beat up TVMA in the corner after. Greta chokeslams MB and Kay.

Kratos and Odinson do an interview. They say they are at it again with BFT, who hasn't been around in a long time. Kratos says his grandma said just because you can bake one cake, doesn't make you a baker. Kratos says they came here to take a spot and says the cream always rises to the top. Kratos tells them to stay safe and Odin says, "awhoo".

Kyle Davis interviews Colby Corino in the ring. CC says he's happy to be here in front of the fans. He says there's a long recovery time for him. Kerry Morton comes out. He says he didn't come here for sympathy. He asks if CC can twist his neck and asks if he can play with his boy outside. He says everyone knows the Morton name outweighs the Corino name every single day. He says everyone knows he's the face of the NWA. He says the fans aren't standing behind CC and don't like him. Kerry says the fans don't give a sh!t about him.

He says the fans don't care when or if he is coming back. CC kicks him in the nuts. CC then takes off his neckbrace. Kerry exits the ring. CC says he might not be cleared to wrestle but doesn't need to be cleared to beat his @ss. He says it's not a matter of if he will come back, but it's a matter of when. He says it's sooner than he thinks.

Aron Stevens, Slade, Mondo, The Slimeballz and The Drake's do a promo. Aron says he's talking about winning. Carson talks about all the title holders in their group and cut away when they talk about The Slime's. Aron says they are worrying about getting better and better as that is what they do.

NWA World Television Title - Bryan Idol (c) vs Rich Swann

They lock up and Rich is backed up in the corner. Rich punches him and Idol rolls him up for 2. Rich avoids a sliding knee then dances. Idol shoulders him over. Rich cartwheels over him and flying headscissors him. Rich hits mounted corner punches. Rich is sent chest first into the buckles and takes a running forearm. Idol double underhook suplexes him.

Idol flying knees him in the corner then hits Finlay's oblivion for 2. They go out. Rich hits punches and is hit back. Idol facebusters Rich's face into the floor outside. Idol camel clutches him.

Rich boots him in the face then rolls into a jumping lariat on him.

We go to break. Natalia Markova says it's been a long time. She says she used to be fighting and chasing while Shotzi Blackheart was on top but now she's the standard. She says when you face her, you don't face the gimmick, you face passion. Shotzi Blackheart interrupts. She says she couldn't beat her 6 years ago and she won't let that change. Matt Cardna then asks Markova if she's seen Billy Corgan and she says he has left.

We go to Dr. Vik's Abode with TVMA. Vik shows off his place. He says he'd love to have TVMA here. He says they've got tons of space, a gym and an expresso bar. He says he wants to get them here. Vik tries to talk Spanish and fails. Tiff lays on his bed. She says if he's serious, she's serious.

Thom Latimer does a promo. Thom says it's crunch time. He says he has 7 days to get things in order so he's the man he needs to be to fight Silas Mason. He says Silas also has things he needs to get in order. He says he's gt 7 days before he loses his title and gets a blackeye.

We go back to the match. Rich hits punches on Idol and buzzsaw kicks him. Rich hits a big splash for 2. Rich hits punches and Idol spinning tombstones him for 2. Idol walks up the buckles and moonsaults Rich for 2.

Rich is stuck up top and gets hit with a euro. They fight on the buckles and Rich headbutts him down. Rich hits a top rope splash for 2. Rich misses a 2nd rope 450. Idol hits the unprettier and pins him.

Thoughts: It was a shorter bout that got broken up by other segments. It wasn't that special and was just an average match for the most part. Idol won as expected.

Overall thoughts: It was a little better than what we normally get. The matches were all built up to a little at least and weren't random. None of them were that great though and that's one of the problems with the NWA - there's rarely ever anything really worth going out of your way to see. Slade/Alex was okay and Slade surprisingly won the Jr. Title. The Women's Tag Title match was acceptable but the finish wasn't done well and hurt it some. What we got of Swann/Idol was average. We got some stuff built up for next week as well which was good. I'd give this a 5 out of 10 as it was an average show.

Thoughts: It wasn't that bad but it wasn't anything too great. Ric's team got most of the offense in and ended up winning here. Sob nearly died when he did a flip dive off the ramp onto Toa and almost bounced onto his head. Ric didn't do anything too wild here.

Thoughts:
The fan coming really disrupted this. It took a while to get things going again and they had a sloppy stretch. The first half wasn't bad but then they got into doing all the big spots and it went down from there.

Overall thoughts: The first two matches stunk. The Lee Moriarty and Virus tag was good with some nice technical wrestling and Blue Panther being a good face. The 3-way didn't work and the trios match was mostly average. I didn't care for the semi-main or main as they were similar matches where they did too much. I'm sure some segments of fans will really like the top two matches but for me, I'd give this a 5 out of 10.  I'd give them an 8 out of 10 though for the line-up they put together here as it was a bigger card than usual.

Thoughts
: I figured Natalya was turning on her at some point and they did it here. Why though? If Max won, Nat could beat her and turn on her there. Instead not she turns on her and has no title shot. It was the usual Max match. Not all of her stuff hit like usual but she did try and generally had the right idea. It was acceptable.

Nat takes down Max and pounds on her. Nat stomps on her and hits mounted shots. Nat stomps on her and says she's never gonna learn.  Nat slaps her around and asks if she's gonna hit her. Max slaps her and is lariated. Nat then sharpshooters her and Max taps out. Nat pounds on her more.

Pearce gets mad when Heyman puts his hands in his face and backs him up. Rey punches Austin with the knucks. Penta canadian destroyers Austin and pins him.

Thoughts: It was an entertaining bout. The faces flew, we got some fun with Pearce and Heyman and there was nothing wrong with this. I don't quite love The Vision losing to people this low on the card but I guess they need something to do.

Jackie interviews CM Punk. Punk says the pressure helps him prove he's the best in the world and will help him vs Finn Balor.

Thoughts: It was one of Punk's better matches lately. He gave Finn a lot of offense and they did a good job of teasing that Finn could win at home. With how depleted Raw's main event scene is, I can't say Finn winning would have been a bad idea. The crowd was into it as expected and I thought it was a good match.

Punk helps Finn up after and raises his hand.

Overall thoughts
: It was a longer show. This went almost 2.5 hours  and they only got 4 matches in which wasn't really enough. They had a lot on their plate here as SNME is this week and The Rumble is in 2 weeks. The main was the best thing on here and I liked the six-man as well. Dupri/Becky was acceptable and Natalya turned on Dupri during it. They also did a nice job in setting up AJ/Gunther for The Rumble. I'd give this a 6 out of 10 as despite there being some good stuff and them doing a lot, it dragged.
