EPW Wrestling 2/28/2026 Episode #231

EPW Wrestling 2/28/2026 Episode #231

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2026/02/epw-wrestling-2212025-episode-230.html

Gene Jackson and Joey Gross are on commentary

Aaron Roberts says the hung begins and he says he has titles on his mind. CJ Thomas comes in (he does a fitness gimmick) and says AR has his next meal on his mind. He says AR has a problem and he ID'd his problem. He says he has all this fat and loose skin and says that's his problem. AR grabs him by the throat and says if he wants to deal with the problem, he's got him in the main event.

The announcers talk about tonight's show and it has The Black List vs The Disorderlies. The show also has Aaron Roberts vs CJ Thomas. They say we will also hear from The Initiative.

The Initiative come with Aryann. Allen Pounds interviews them at ringside. Allen says they have been feuding with Parental Advisory for months and it doesn't seem like it will ever end. Jason says a feud with them is a false statement, PA has been a thorn in their side for months. He says no matter how many times they throw them out, they come back to them again. Trace says they stepped into the world of grown men and playtime is over. Trace says they let them watch while they dropped their old man on his head. He says they put him out to pasture and were trying to let them learn a lesson but it wasn't good enough. Trace says Aryann has a surprise for them. Aryann says they will push them down like the mutts they are in a dog collar match. She then show off dog collars.

Sevyn Cruz and the KJ Rockett are talking at a table. Makkari Kandy comes up to them. Sev asks her if she is passing out candy and asks if she was coming to their audition. MK says she was just passing by and tells them to get out of her way unless they want to deal with angry Makkari. Sev tells her to get out and MK says she has something for them.

KJ Rockett vs Makkari Kandy

MK jumps on her and hits mounted shots. MK throws her by the hair. Sevyn Cruz gets on the apron and she goes after him. KJ trips MK, basement dropkicks her and bangs her face off the mat. KJ bangs MK's head off the mat then stands on her hair while she pulls her arms.

KJ gets on her back with a sleeper. MK back rams her into the buckles. KJ piefaces her and shoves her. MK hits shots to the gut and head in the corner. We go to break and return. KJ is on the 2nd rope and MK pounds on her. MK butt drops KJ while she lays on the 2nd rope.

Sevyn throws the clipboard in the ring. KJ goes for it but MK grabs it. MK hits Sevyn with it. Raven Black comes onto the apron. MK argues with her. KJ rolls up MK and pins her.

Thoughts:
It was short with a lot of shenanigans. Raven Black cost MK the match here to continue their feud. This was a simple match.

Raven threatens to come in after but backs off.

The Order come out and are interviewed by Allen Pounds. Hollywood Jimmy says there's so many people who are jealous of The Order. He says the people are jealous of them. Jimmy says they drive up in their limos and the others arrive in their Kia's. Jimmy says they have all the gold and says people are always sticking their nose where it doesn't belong. Allen says they stuck their nose in others business constantly and interfere. Jimmy yells at Allen for interfering.

Dorian Vain says Allen is right. DV says they dealt with the disrespect and people interfering for too long. He says what they need to do is put their feet on their necks and on the gas when it comes to Order business. DV says he refuse to go down like other champs here and refuses to let victory defeat them. DV says they will make an example of The Blacklist next week. He says he will make an example out of Mims. He says he refuses to deal with the disrespect and says that's an executive order.

Ray Collins vs CJ Blaine

They lock up. CJ side headlocks him. Ray reverses it. CJ Japanese armdrags him and Ray is hit with a regular armdrag. Ray goes out to stall and CJ slingshot plancha's him. CJ is crotched up top. Ray backdrops him for 2.

Ray back elbows CJ for 2. CJ enzugiri's him from the apron then springboard dropkicks him. CJ flying lariats Ray then corkscrew kicks him. CJ casadora bulldogs him for 2. CJ misses an asai moonssault. Ray TKO's him on the knee and wins.

Thoughts: It was a shorter but alright bout. They worked well together and CJ had a good night. This was a junior's match with quick action and armdrags and dropkicks.

The Disorderlies (Disorderly #1 and #2) vs The Black List (Chris Styles and Cody James)

The Disorderlies are identical but #1 has sleeves and #2 doesn't.

The List get attacked from behind and get clubbed on petty good. The List hit stereo lariats. #1 foot chokes Chris then #2 chokes Chris from the apron. Chris fights out of the corner and his tag is blocked by #1. Chris low dropkicks #2 in the side of the head. #2 eye rakes and clubs on Chris. #1 hits a corner splash on Chris and clubs his back.

We go to break and return. Chris is pounded on in the corner by #1. Chris lariats #1. Cody comes in and cleans house on the heels. #2 is lifted for a double team ddt and is pinned.

Thoughts: It was a shorter bout but it was fine. The Disorderlies mostly did clubs and punches but those shots looked good so it was fine. Cody only came in at the end to clean house and pick up the win.

The Order come in and jump The Black List. Wonder Boy comes out to help The List and lariats Eli Knox down.

Aaron Roberts vs CJ Thomas

CJ ducks a lock up and does aerobics. CJ then slides out. AR throws CJ in from the apron. CJ's head is banged off the buckles and AR hits shots to the gut. CJ is thrown hard into the buckles and goes down. AR corner splashes him then exploders him.

AR slams and splashes him for 2. CJ's head is banged off the buckles and AR hits corner spears and chops. We go to break and return. CJ hits punches on AR and AR punches back. CJ is thrown hard into the buckles and goes down. CJ drinks from his cup while down. CJ spits his drink at AR then clips him. CJ hits shots on him. CJ corner splashes him.

CJ gets on his back with a sleeper and AR backrams him. Both guys fire up. AR slaps him then lariats him over twice. CJ jawbreakers him then hits chops that do no damage. CJ goes to run and AR steps on his foot. AR chops him down. AR chokeslams him then butt drops him to win.

Thoughts:
AR was decent here. He's a bigger guy and has some presence to him. CJ did what he was supposed to by selling for him and making him look like a threat. It was acceptable but a bit one-sided.

Overall thoughts: It was an okay show there. There was nothing must see but nothing awful either. They did an alright job with this and the commentary is always solid. I'd give it a 6 out of 10 overall and I enjoyed it.

WWC Superestrellas de la Lucha Libre 1/18/2026

WWC Superestrellas de la Lucha Libre 1/18/2026

He says as the hero of the nation and the captain of the last territory, he guarantees he will come out on top and defend the territory. He says he will give it all for his country as that is what WWC does.

Abel talks about Carlito Colon vs Ray Gonzalez. We see a video montage on their history.

Eddie Colon does a promo from his house. He calls himself the future majority owner of WWC. He talks about the Euphoria line-up and says it's one only he can bring. He says Ray Gonazlez is great but no Carlito. He says Carlito is fighting all over the world week after week. Eddie says he will not lose his match in the 16% stake vs hair match. He says hair is nothing and Carlito can't lose. He says Carlito is a better fighting and he will prove it. He says bye bye an adios to Ray Gonzalez.

He says it took Chicano 9 years to get out of the cave (IWA-PR) and says it only took him 4 years. John says he doesn't care if Eddie stands in his way. He will show that 2026 belongs to him.

Chicano does a promo. He says it took him 4 years to get here and says John was fighting kids and children. He says he will teach him how to respect his elders and respect ranks.

El Hostil Jovan vs Lou Forza

We join this in progress. Both men are down. Lou hits punches and Jovan backdrops him for 2. Lou armdrags him then cutters him for 2. Jovan hits a twisting full-nelson drop and pins him.

Thoughts: We only saw the finishing stretch of this and it wasn't too impressive.

Elena Negroni does a promo. She says Eupghoria will be her biggest fight. She says she can imagine being able to do whatever she wants there and says she will arrive and leave as champ.

Stephany Amalbert does a promo about her Euphoria match. She says she doesn't care if Joe Anthony or El Informate is there. She says she will come out as the WWC Women's Champ a 2nd time.

Kamila does a promo. She says it doesn't matter for Amazona if Informante is on her side. She says she has plans for Stephany and says Negroni will regret being a backstabbing b!tch.

La Guerrera Amazona does a promo. She says everything is in place to keep the party going. she says there will be a firestorm at Euphoria.

TV Title on a Pole Match - Amaddeo Sole vs El Payaso Makabro

We join this in progress. Sole pumping knees him in the back and does a blue thunder. Sole goes to climb the pole then misses a top rope elbow drop on Mak. Mak hits a spinning ddt and nails the ref in the progress. The ref is down. Mak and Sole climb the pole. Mak headbutts him down and grabs the TV Title. Mak poses with the title and Sole low blows him. Sole hits a pedigree and grabs the title. Sole wakes the ref up and the ref thinks he won it so he awards him the win.

Thoughts: We only saw the finishing stretch of this. Man does this promotion love ref bumps. The finish was pretty cheap with Makabro grabbing the title and then Sole taking it from him and waking the ref up to make it look like he won.

Sole nails Makabro with the title after. He grabs the ref's belt and whips Makabro with it. Sole then chokes him with the belt.

Alberto el Patron does a promo. He says he brings the light to lucha and is the greatest of all time. He says he returns on 1/24 to face Gilbert. He says Puerto Rican's don't come close to him.

WWC Universal Title - Xix Xavant (c) vs Andrade El Idolo

How did the ref go down off of this?

We join this in progress. Idolo has him down and does a top rope moonsault into a standing moonsault for 2. Idolo jumps at him then monkey flips him. XX fisherman suplexes him for 2. XX poses on the ropes and is pushe down to the floor. Idolo 2nd rope moonsaults him outside and bangs his arm and head pretty hard off the floor.

Idolo throws him in and gets a 2 count. Idolo goes up top and is crotched. XX slaps him then superplexes him for 2. XX pop-up drops him then tilt-a-whirl backbreakers him for 2. The ref somehow gets knocked out off of the kickout.

XX tries to revive him and Idolo goes for the cradle. XX gorilla press gutbusters him but the ref is still out. Idolo spinning back elbows him then twisting double underhook drops him for the win.

Thoughts: We saw most of what they showed us here already. Idolo got his head busted open on a moonsault to the outside. The ref bump near the end was pretty silly and not believable. Xavant's gorilla press gutbuster was cool. We didn't really see enough of this for me to rate it.

Abel Durant shills tickets for Euphoria and closes the show.

Overall thoughts: We saw a bunch of promos we had already been shown here and we saw the finishing stretch of 3 matches here. There wasn't anything that exciting to see on this show and if you saw the last few weeks of TV, you would have seen most of this already. I won't really rate this one as there really wasn't a lot to rate. I wouldn't recommend this.

TNA Xplosion 2/27/2026

TNA Xplosion 2/27/2026

They lock up and MW hits him from behind. MW hits chops on Manny. MW misses a corner charge and takes armdrags. Manny slams him. Steph de Lander trips Manny and MW hits Manny from behind. MW corner forearms him then hits a big boot. MW chokes him then chinlocks him.

MW hits shots to the gut then is spinebustered for 2. Manny hits lariats then flying lariats him. Manny samoan drops him for 2. Manny goes up top and Steph crotches him. MW superplexes Manny then impaler ddt's him to win.

Thoughts: It was your basic match with the heel cheating, the face getting a small comeback and being put down. It was fine for what it was but nothing must see. Mance won as expected here.

Overall thoughts: There was only one new match here. No Around the Ring this week. We also got the usual recaps and old matches. I wouldn't recommend this but you can see all the new content in about 6 minutes.

Robert Stone comes out. He say he will give him the rematch if he wants and says let's put wrestling gear on first. Page says let's do it right now.

Both are in suits here. MB pulls MB's jacket over his head and hits punches. MB hits a corner lariat. They boot each other. Page rips MB's shirt off and clubs him. Page boots him out of the corner and is dropkicked as he comes off the 2nd rope. MB pounds on him on the commentary table.

Page pulls MB throat first into the ropes. Page hits MB with a belt for 2. Page's pants come after MB rips them up. MB ankle locks him. MB hits Page with a shoe then hits a zigzag to win.

Thoughts: It was short and something different both guys getting their clothes ripped up and hitting each other with shoes and belts. I enjoyed it.

Zaria arrives and is asked why she attacked Sol. She gives her a smart answer and keeps walking.

Darkstate is waiting for Tony D'Angelo in the parking lot. Robert Stone comes out with security and says they need to do it inside. Tony D'Angelo arrives in a car and grabs a crowbar.

Blake Monroe comes out. She says when Jaida Parker interrupted her, she expected to feel disrespected and expected to feel raged last week. She says she thought she would want to rip her apart but says she felt reassurance. She says Jaida needs her. She says she's poised here. She says the conversation and controversy. She says people obsess over her. She says Jaida acts first and acts questions later and it's not scary to her. She says she will do charity and share her spotlight with Jaida. She says she will walk straight through her to Stand and Deliver.

Jaida Parker comes out. She says Blake has jokes. She says she needs to slap the taste out of her mouth. She says she's delusional where wrestling revolves around her. She says The Glamour only exists because insecurity does. Jaida says she's not insecure. She says Blake hates that all eyes are on Jaida. She says Blake needs her. She says Blake isn't who she thinks she is. She says she's a mediocre b!tch. They fight and Jaida hip attacks her out of the ring.

Thoughts: Jaida said too many things that were probably true here and didn't make Blake look good.

Vanity Project talk to Saints and Page in the back. Page says he needs time to think. Saints says they need to worry about the Evolve Title match tomorrow. Saints tells Drake to make sure he retains his title. Saints tells Page things will be okay. He puts him over the greatest NA champ and says it has to be mean something. Jasper says he wants the Speed Title. Eli says it's for small guys like him, not bigger guys. Josh Briggs says Jasper isn't the best big man after losing to them. Jasper says he will crush both and then take back his Speed Title next week.

WWE Women's Speed Title Tournament - Wren Sinclair vs Nikkita Lyons

They lock up and NL goes for the pin. Wren full nelson's her. Wren spin kicks her in the gut then NL split-leg drops her for 2. NL hits mounted shots on Wren. Wren chops her then hits bad mounted shots. Wren rolls her up for 1 then crucifixes her. NL hits her in the gut then fisherman suplexes her for 2.

Wren chops NL then flying lariats her. NL is dropkicked from behind off the apron. NL spin kicks her in the face. They each go for pins. NL misses a corner charge and Wren backdrops her. Wren then does cattle mutilation and NL taps out at 2:55.

Thoughts: It was short and there wasn't a lot to it. I was surprised to see Wren take a spin kick right to the face. Wren's a regular here and Lyons isn't, so her winning makes sense.

Joe Hendry congratulates Myles Borne in the back. Borne says he loved his chronicle story last week. Joe says the obstacles Borne overcame were unbelievable. Borne says an advantage of being deaf is not having to listen to Saints. Joe says it makes him want to be deaf too. Borne pretends to get mad then says he's joking.

Izzi says she wants to meet the version of Tatum that Taum says she is. Izzi says Tatum is the reason for all her problems. Izzi says there's no purpose for Tatum without Izzi. She says Tatum is pathetic and says Tatum is incapable of being fixed. Tatum tells her nothing lasts forever and says her manipulation is temporary. She says nothing will beat the satisfaction she feels after taking the N-A Title from her. She says she will then understand she was never meant to be played with. Tank double lariats the heels. Hank is sent into the post. Tank fallaway slams Drake. The heels trap Tank against the ring apron with the steps. Hill top rope diving lariats Brad. Tank black hole slams Drake. Drake takes a double bodyblock. Hank and Tank hit stereo topes. Hill lifts Drake into a neckbreaker and pins him.

Thoughts
: It got a bit cut up by breaks but it had a fast pace and a lot of action. I liked what we got here and thought it worked out pretty well.

Blake Monroe gets on the commentary table. She says Jaida got what she wanted and brought the hell out of her. She says this ends at Vengeance Day in a street fight. Jaida Parker comes out and fights Blake. Hank, Hill and Tank break it up.

We see clips of Lola Vice with a doctor. The doc says her hand is fractured and she should be taken out of action. The doc says her wrist could get worse if she fights in NXT Underground and she could have a loss of function. She says she needs to wrestle the match and will.

Zar bangs Jacy's head off the mat. Zar suplexes her twice. Zar lariats her down on the apron from the 2nd rope.

Zar spears the steps when Rein saves Jacy. Jacy cannonballs Zar against the steps. We go to PiP break and return. Jacy gets on Zar's back with a sleeper. Zar rams her backwards into the buckles. Zar superplexes her.

They trade shots. Jacy superkicks her in the gut. Zar hits punches and headbutts her. Zar hits running back elbows. Zar overhead suplexes her. Zar lariats her for 2. Jacy rams Zar's face into the buckles. Zar flying knees Jacy then germans her twice. Jacy flying knees her for 2.

Zar spears her then is hit with a spinning forearm. Sol Ruca comes out, takes out Fatal Influence and hits a sol snatcher on Jacy and Zar. This match is thrown out. Sol grabs the title, say something and kisses Zar. She then nails Reid with the title.

Thoughts
: It was a decent match. Zar was working as a face here which was weird since she just turned heel. Then Sol hitting a sol snatcher on both was kind of a heelish thing too. Jacy hit some nice strikes as usual but I'm not sure how I was supposed to react to this one.

Robert Stone is interviewed. He says the NXT Women's division hasn't lived up to the hype the last few weeks and he needs to make changes.

Ricky Saints comes out with a guitar and a mic. He says since everyone loves Hendry's concerts, he thought he would do one better. He plays guitar poorly and sings his own version of Joe Hendry's song. He tells production he needs a chair and sings more of "I Believe In Ricky".

Ricky says something is wrong with the mic. He says the crowd smells. He sings about how Joe looks like Guy Fieri. He says he needs a new guitar. A hand takes the guitar and won't give him the new one. The hand is Joe Hendry. He hits Ricky with the guitar. The Vanity Project come down to help do a 4v1 on Joe. Myles Borne comes down and helps Joe. Smokes is fallaway slammed into his partners. Brad and Drake are lariated over the top and Ricky is thrown onto them.

Borne and Joe then pose with their titles and do Joe's pose.

Thoughts: The segment was designed to be bad and it definitely was.

Overall thoughts: The last half hour of the show was a bit weak with the Ricky Saints concert and Sol ruining the Women's Title match. The men's trios match was the best bout on here. This was not a heavy wrestling show and not a lot happened as everything is being saved for the PLE on Saturday. I wouldn't really recommend this one. It was acceptable though and I'd give it a higher 5 out of 10.

NWA Powerrr 3/3/2026

The Southern Six talk. They ask who Silas is picking as his partner. Silas says he hasn't thought about it. He says it's not about anyone, it's about all six. He says he will pick Kerry and Alex gets worked out. Silas says Alex is getting too hot. Kerry says and when you're hot, you're hot and when you're not...Alex says that's his line then Kerry and Silas leave.

Cristiano Argento comes out with  chair and PB punches the chair into Argento's face. Trev diving bulldog's PB off the top and pins him.

Thoughts:
It was just a quick one here with Cristiano Argento costing PB the match. We'll have to see where things go.

He says misery loves company and he'll have 5 pounds of white thunder (his fist). Drake says Aron's a manager and he doesn't fight. Aron says he doesn't fight unless he has to. He says freak losers like him don't beat him.

Submission Match - Kylie Paige vs Hera

Thoughts:
They are definitely trying to make Hera into something. She's not the greatest in the ring but the division could use some new faces. This wasn't that interesting but KP lost without losing here.

Sirena Veil and Vipress do a promo. She asks if The Hex wants to talk history. She says they don't intimidate them. Sirena says the future is lust for violence.

Dr. Vik's Abode

Vik talks to TV-MA. He says the opportunities for Tiffany will be different than Ms. Starr. Vik says they gotta break down her outer shell first. Vik calls them "Tiff Nieves and the rest of them". Starr complains and asks Vik to say her name. Starr asks for the next step and Vik is frustrated.

Elimination Match - Alex Taylor vs JAC vs Tyler Franks vs Bryce Hansen

All 4 pair off. JAC is pulled out then JAC pulls TF out. Bryce trips Alex, tries a pin then dropkicks him. Bryce death valley drivers Alex. Bryce hits shots on JAC. JAC misses a corner splash. TF hits forearms on Alex then backhands him. TF running euros him in the corner. TF bottom rope flipping neckbreakers him. Alex cradles him for 2. TF spinning torture rack drops Alex for 2. Alex cradle shocks TF and pins him.

Thoughts
: It was a random one and Bryce lost in his debut with the company here. Alex picked up all the pins here. I was surprised they didn't have him lose since he's been on a bad luck streak, but I guess that is over with now. It was a short match and not too much of note.

The Lost talk in the back. Alex Misery headbutts a door and asks if Aron Stevens wants to mock him. He then bangs a light tube off his head. He says Aron is awakening something he's not ready to see.

Alex Misery vs Aron Stevens

Alex gets some filters for his entrance.

Aron hits Alex from behind and pounds on his gut. Aron headbutts him. Alex hits punches and drops Aron. Alex then bits Aron's hand. Alex takes Aron's glove and headbutts him out of the ring. Alex backrakes Aron outside then headbutts him there. Aron throws Alex into the steps.

Aron gets a 2 count on Alex inside and hits knees to the gut. Aron russian legsweeps him. Aron misses an elbow drop. Aron's head is banged off the buckles. Alex lariats him, back elbows him and enzugiri's him. Alex flying knees him. Alex is crotched up top. Aron puts his glove back on. Alex grabs Aron's hand and makes Aron punch himself with it. Aron takes a big bump out of the ring. Alex wins via countout.

Thoughts: The finish was something but it makes sense as Aron's glove is loaded and he was hit with it. Alex thankfully won here but this isn't over I'm sure.

The Lost celebrate with Alex after.

The Cazana's do a promo. Joe says finally a set of champs gave them a shot. Joe says the tag titles are on the line and says to meet the new tag champs. Joe says they will do things by the book.

Kerry Morton and Silas Mason do a promo. They say they take on Thom and Idol next week. Kerry says it gets on his nerves that Idol is talking the talk and asks if he knows who he is messing with. Silas says Thom proved to the world that he doesn't have what it takes to beat him. Silas says Idol thinks just because he cashed in the Lucky 7 that he can reach world title competition. Silas says Kerry doesn't even know about that. Kerry disagrees and they argue. Kerry says he will start the match off and show that he has what it takes to wrestle world championship competition.

NWA World Tag Titles - The Immortals (Kratos and Odinson) vs The Country Gentlemen (KC and AJ Cazana)

The announcers say Joe Cazana signed this match when he was running the NWA. I expect The Cazana's to pull the upset off here as it would give both teams something to do going forward. KC has a new shorter haircut and has his hair dyed dark.

Joe rips up fan signs before the match. KC struts and takes corner spears from Odin. Odin hits euros on him then hits corner spears. Odin hits a 2nd rope corkscrew euro from behind for 2. Odin hits corner spears on KC then misses one. KC wraps Odin's arm around the ropes. Odin's head is banged off the buckles.

KC corner flying knees both opponents then hits a double flying lariat for 2 when Joe pulls the ref out. Odin gets sent into the post. KC low blows Kratos for a close 2. Joe gets on the apron. KC is given Joe's book. KC throws it to Odin then sells like he got hit. The ref DQ's Kratos and The Cazana's win...but they don't win the titles of course.

Thoughts: Well, The Cazana's did win though it was by DQ. That should lead to a rematch at least and should extend this a bit. This didn't get a ton of time and Odin mostly got his arm worked on before Kratos hot tagged in.

Overall thoughts: We had multiple DQ/Countout finishes on this show. However, they didn't appear to happen for no reason and we should get some feuds off of them. That's a good thing. There was nothing must see wrestling wise as usual and I wouldn't really recommend this one, but the show mostly made sense booking wise and we'll have to see where it goes. This was a show to set up other shows. I'd give it this a 5 out of 10.

Thoughts:
DF is going to WWE so I thought he might lose here, but he didn't. The match wasn't anything too special. Fred got a decent amount in during the early portion of this.

DF grabs the mic after as the crowd chants, "Thank You, Finlay". He then throws the mic down without saying anything. Yuto-Ice and Oskar meet him on the stage and they do their hand sign together.

Thoughts
: It was the match you would expect with them chopping, forearmming and lariating each other. It was a good enough match but it wasn't one that you would remember and was pretty similar to other Ishii matches. I liked Ishii's uppercut forearms here.

Thoughts: I suppose TI was the face here but he didn't do a great job of it. TI didn't do a lot of flying here but Ric did. Ric won was expected here and it was just acceptable only.

Kush handspring kicks JO off the apron. Kush kimura's AP. AP takes shots from both and a double punch. Kus hits an angel's wings on AP and pins him.

Thoughts: I thought it went longer than it needed to and wasn't anything too great. They lost some of the pace of this halfway through and I don't think they got most they could have out of this.

NJPW World Television Title Match - El Phantasmo (c) vs. Konosuke Takeshita

They trade basic holds. They do the headlock takeover  > headscissors spot and repeat it with the roles reversed. They go for pins. ELP chops him then KT pump kicks him. KT flying lariats him. KT pumping knees him then hits a raging fire for the win.

Thoughts:
They had done more than enough at 15 minutes. It was the high flying match you would expect with these two. I don't know if they really got the most out of the time. It was similar to what I thought it would look like and definitely was an indy style match more based on moves, flips and kickouts than selling.

IWGP Tag Team Title Match - Knockout Brothers (OSKAR & Yuto-Ice) (c) vs. Gates Of Agony (Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona)

Thoughts
: It wasn't as good as some of the other KOB matches. It just didn't get quite as heated as it should have and they didn't get a great pace going. What we got was fine just it didn't live up to the expectations I had for it. While they overdid it in some of the other matches, they did not go all out here.

IWGP Women's Title Match - Syuri (c) vs. Athena

Ath tombstones her for 2.

Syu high kicks her and pumping knees her. Syu headbutts her down then hits an electric chair side driver and pins her.

Thoughts: It was a stiff battle. Ath threw Syu around recklessly like usual. Syu worked the arm some but it didn't go anywhere. I don't think they got much out of some of the stuff near the end. I thought it was acceptable but they really needed one of them to back down a little and put the other over.

Athena refuses a handshake after. Syu grabs the ROH Women's Title and gives it back to Ath.

We see I think Alex Windsor working out, but she's not wearing make up so she looks like someone else. She challenges Syuri for the NJPW Strong Women's Title.

IWGP Global Heavyweight Title Match - Yota Tsuji (c) vs. Andrade El Idolo

They lock up. Idolo wristlocks him. Yota hammerlocks him. Idolo side headlocks him then shoulders him over. Yota knees him in the gut. They do a double knuckle lock. Yota side headlocks him. Yota flying hedscissors him but Idolo headflips out. Idolo poses on the ropes.

Idolo hits a double underhook canadian destroyer for 2. Idolo corner meteora's him. Yota his superkicks and takes a spinning back elbow for 2.

Idolo is crotched up top. They fight on the buckles and trade headbutts there. Idolo goes for a powerbomb and is hit with a canadian destroyer for 2. Yota reverse suplexes him off the top. Idolo spears him for 1. Yota cradles him then spears him. Yota hits another spear for 2. Yota crabs him and Idolo taps.

Thoughts
: I didn't like it. It was an indy style match with canadian destroyers, spanish flies and a stupid boston crab finish. They did each other's moves here and the selling wasn't good at all.

Yota thanks the fans for coming to an NJPW show and thanks Idolo. Yota says he's the IWGP champ and the IWGP Global champ after. He says his name is Yota Tsuji. He says he's not the future, it's his time. He says this is his era and name.  He says there are many great promotions but believes NJPW is the best.

Overall thoughts: It was a longer show and everything on here got plenty of time. The crowd wasn't mic'd well and the arena wasn't lit well and that hurt some of the matches. Ishii/Oleg was the best match here  and the tag title match was the second best bout but nothing was great. I thought it was an average show but the bookers tried to make it an appealing card. I'd give this a 5 out of 10.

WWE Monday Night Raw 3/2/2026

WWE Monday Night Raw 3/2/2026

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2026/02/wwe-monday-night-raw-2232026.html

We are in Indianapolis, IN. Michael Cole and Corey Graves are on commentary.

We see various wrestlers arrive.

The Vision come out. Heyman says they are here to talk about Seth Rollins. Paul says Seth stole credit for co-founding The Vision and The Shield. He says Seth stole The Elimination Chamber and stole the Wrestlemania main event from Logan. He says they will stomp Seth out the next time he's in a WWE ring.

Theory says him and Seth go way back and Seth isn't going forward. Logan calls Seth a scumbag. Logan says the rest of the show won't happen until Seth comes out.

Adam Pearce comes out with security and interrupts. Adam says they are holding the show hostage but says they were the ones who injured Jey Uso. Paul says they had nothing to do with Jey but will plead guilty in advance to what they will do to Seth. Paul then throws the mic at Adam.

Adam says he needs to talk Seth but can't with them out here. Adam says Seth should be left to him as he is not medically cleared to compete. A masked man comes to ringside and security chases him. Another masked guy comes out and Logan chases that one to the back. A third masked guy comes out and Theory chases him.

Paul then has another masked guy looking at him. Another masked guy, who is Seth, then appears on the apron with a chair. Seth then chairs Paul and curbstomps him.

Paul Heyman is in an ambulance with fake blood coming out of his noise. Logan and Austin asks what is wrong and say to stop the bleeding. A car arrives, Theory thinks its Logan and it's Jimmy Uso. Jimmy beats up Austin, sending him into the ambulance and some boxes. Jimmy then sees LA Knight and he's driving the ambulance. He says Paul will get help he needs and he drives away.

Thoughts: This was a very entertaining segment and a good way to get things started.

Lee jumps Gun from behind as he enters and stomps on him. Lee dropkicks him through the ropes. Lee is back body dropped to the floor over the timekeeper's rail. We go to break and return.

Gun hits an emerald flowsion for 2. Gun powerbombs him twice for 2. Gun apron edge powerbombs him then powerbombs him on the commentary table.

Lee toyota rolls into a sunset bomb on the floor on Gun. Lee dropkicks Gun off the apron then ropes him into the commentary table. Lee hits destino on Gun on the floor. Lee lariats him and jumping kicks him. Lee lariats him. Gun sleepers him then grounds him with it. Gun rips the mask off and the ref calls it off quick.

Thoughts: It was a bit ripped up by breaks but what we got was good. Gun stiffed him and Lee was fine as fiery flying face. This was probably the best thing Lee has done yet in WWE and this helped Gun out.

Asuka yells at Kairi Sane in the back for losing last week. Sane says Asuka told her she did good. Asuka pie faces her, shakes her head around and yells at her. AJ Lee walks past Sane and asks if she's good. Sane is in a daze and ignores her.

AJ Lee comes out. She says she came back purely to snatch the hair off Becky Lynch's head and snatched her title. She says she didn't know if she could still go. AJ said the fans thought she could still go and believed in her. She said they made her believe she could beat the best of the best. She says Becky gave the fight of her life and she proved to herself that she can still be championship material.

AJ says she's still who she thinks she is. She says now that Becky is behind her, Wrestlemania is ahead of her. She says she will be a fighting champ. She says it's been 12 years since she was a champ and she's not taking it for granted. She said she mentioned she wanted to get her hands on some women in the locker room and knows they want to get their hands on her. She tells the women who want a shot at her to come out. She says she will defend the IC Title the next time she's in the ring and tells the girls to show her what they've got.

El Grande Americano Original goes up to Penta.  He says he's excited for his title match tonight. He says when he wins the title, he is first in line. Penta says he's zero fear. Los Americanos and Grande II (wearing black and gold) come up to Grande OG. They ask how long he will keep up the charade. Original says he's the only Grande. Grande II says they will see at Rey de Reyes. Grande OG says they don't have to wait and challenges either Bravo or Rayo to a match tonight.

Liv Morgan does a promo behind a cage. She says she's sure Vaquer has questions about last week. She says SV thought she knew all about her but doesn't know a thing. She says she is privileged. She talks about how she had it better than her and says it happened because she's the star. She says she sees a bit of herself in her. She says she a great champ. She says SV will get to learn everything she needs to know about her when she steps in the ring with her.

El Grande Americano Original vs Rayo Americano

Grande II and Bravo are at ringside. Rayo kips up out of a wristlock. Grande headflips out of one then trips him into an armlock. Rayo double throat thrusts Grande. Grande la magistral's him for 2. Grande spinning headscissors him out.

Bravo distracts Grande on the apron and Rayo hits Grande from behind. Rayo knee drops Grande. Rayo and Grande trade chops. Grande armdrags and hiptosses him. Grande cannonballs him off the apron. Grande then dances at Bravo outside. Bravo kicks the steps in anger and hits his foot. Grande II yells at Grande. Rayo then plancha's Grande and sends him into the post.

We go to break and return. Rayo and Grande trade forearms. Grande hits belly to belly suplexes and a rolling koppo kick. Rayo gets his foot up on a top rope moonsault but Grande ankle locks him. Rayo corner meteora's him. Grande 2nd rope belly to belly overhead suplexes him for 2.

Grande unties Rayo's mask. Bravo gets on the apron and Grande goes for his mask. Grande II headbutts Grande in the face. Rayo top rope flying headbutts Grande for 2. Rayo grabs Grande's mask. Grande grabs Grande II and is kicked by Bravo. Rayo is sent into Bravo and Grande hits a chaos theory on Rayo to win.

Thoughts: It was an entertaining match with a lot of outside shenanigans. Rayo plancha'd Grande and landed on his head here which had to hurt. Grande won as expected here as there was no reason to have him lose.

Penta does a promo on Dominik Mysterio. He says he will come out with all the energy and hearts of his people when he faces Dom. He says no one will save him and Penta says he will become the new IC champ tonight because he's Penta and has no fear.

Liv and Raquel play darts in the back. Liv says Raquel should challenge AJ Lee for the IC Title and go to Mania as champ. Dom, JD and Finn talk. Finn says he's not happy with what happened at Elimination Chamber but he's at peace. Dom asks if he can count on them to be there with him tonight. Finn says they spoke and Dom needs to do this by himself. Dom asks if they will be there to celebrate with him when he wins and Finn says of course.

Rusev comes out while an Oba Femi video plays and says that's enough. He says he's tired of listening about Oba and tired of waiting. He is on the commentary table. He says they both want this fight and says they should fight right now. Rusev says he's not leaving until Oba shows up.

Oba Femi comes out. He gets in the ring. He asks Rusev to come in the ring and make something happen. Rusev gets in and they trade punches. Oba gets the edge and running back elbows him. Lyra Valkyria and Bayley talk in the back. Bay says she feels stuck. Lyra agrees and says they have had no luck lately. Lyra says she can't watch her miss Mania and says Bay needs to get there. She says AJ is looking for a challenger and says why can't it be Bayley? Bay says she's right and Lyra tells her to go get her shot. Bay says she cost her a title match vs Becky and they should both go. They go to Adam's office and see Iyo Sky coming out. They then go in.

Austin Theory vs Jimmy Uso

Uso hits chops. AT hits knees to the gut. Uso boots him out of the corner and flying forearms him off the buckles. Uso misses a corner splash and AT spinning forearms him. AT bangs Uso's face off the mat. Uso uppercuts him then lariats him over the top. Uso topes him into the commentary table. AT's head is banged off the commentary table and the steps. Uso superkicks him. Uso superkicks him outside. Logan Paul gets in the ring and Uso jumps on him off the top. Uso wins via DQ.

Thoughts: We didn't get to see much of this before it ended but it was going okay.

Uso is double teamed after. Jey Uso comes out and hands Jimmy crutches. The Uso's hit The Vision with the crutches and lariat Logan over the top with one. AT takes a 3D.

Adam Pearce is talking to Nick Aldis on the phone. Danhausen shakes Adam's hand. He says he has a list of demands. Adam asks why the list is soggy and Dan says it fell in the toilet. Adam asks Judgment Day if they met Dan. Dan says hi to them and can't remember JD's name. Dan touches Dom's title and says it's nice. Dom says to beat it before something bad happens to him. Dan curses Dom and disappears.

Thoughts: This was a much better segment than Danhausen's debut and it's too bad they didn't debut him this way.

Jackie Redmond interviews Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky on the stage. RR says losing their Women's Tag Titles sucked. RR says Iyo has been her opponent, partner and best friend. RR thanks her for supporting her and being by her. She thanks her for pulling her out of a very dark situation. Iyo says RR would do the same for her but showed everyone why she is always awesome. Iyo says she will be okay on Raw and tells her to win the title at Mania. RR says she will win it for her. She tells her to hold down Raw for her. RR says she will see Jade face to face on SD and will be leaving the new Women's champ.

Thoughts: It feels like Rhea and Iyo are done and kind of confirms Rhea is winning the title at Mania.

WWE Intercontinental Title - Dominik Mysterio (c) vs Penta

They trade waistlocks. Dom back elbows him. They superkick each other. Penta flying headscissors him. Dom superkicks him. Dom goes for a dive and is kicked. Penta dropkicks him out then tope con hilos him. We go to break and return.

Dom misses a slingshot swanton and takes lariats. Penta slingblade facebusters him then kicks him in the back of the head. Dom headbusters him for 2. Dom hits 2 suplexes then Penta hits one on him. They fight on the buckles. Dom boots him hard and ddt's him on the apron.

They trade shots. Penta superkicks him and gets hit as he springboards. Dom triangle springboard plancha's Penta outside. Dom crossbodies Penta over the timekeeper's rail. We go to break and return.

Penta top rope crossbodies him and flying headscissors him. Penta enzugiri's him in the corner and handstand double pendulum boots him in the corner for 2. Dom hits shots on Penta in the corner and is superkicked into the buckles. Penta up and over backcrackers him for 2. Dom michinoku drivers him for 2. Dom 619's Penta. Penta armcranks Dom. Penta hits a made in Japan for 2. Penta stomps Dom in the corner. The ref pulls him off. Penta corner spears Dom then misses a corner spear.

Dom asks JD McDonaugh to get the hammer. Finn stops JD when he tries and says no as he says Dom wanted to do this by himself. Penta tope con hilos Finn and JD. Penta canadian destroyers Dom and pins him.

Thoughts
: Dom had to lose eventually I suppose but it's risky to mess with things that are working. Dom's probably going to be feuding with Finn though. I don't think Dom and Penta had the best match they could have and it was a little slow between the various spots. I thought it was just average.

Penta holds the title up as fireworks shoot off.

Roman Reigns comes out. CM Punk comes out right after. Punk asks why he looks so angry and says he's giving Roman what he wants. H says he's acknowledging him. They talk about some tweet that Roman made at Punk and Punk says it didn't bother him. Punk says the bags under his eyes are so big as he has to carry Roman's BS for 7 weeks til Mania. He says they have history in the WWE as The Shield debuted here and he brought him to the dance. Roman says he brought the other two, not him.

Punk says he feels like he won Mania already judging by the crowd. He says he's in his head and is under his skin. He says he can see right through him. Roman says he does hate him. He says he'd be indifferent to him if he didn't have the title and he wouldn't exist to him.

Roman keeps calling him Phil and says they brought him back to please the 30-40 year old virgins and to pop a Chicago crowd. He says they didn't bring him back to be champ as it's too much above him. Roman says Punk is a liar and they can't trust him. Roman says Punk is complaining in the back and isn't CM Punk, but a punk @ss b!tch to him. He says when he gets the title, he will put him a Cena retirement tour. He says he will send him to NXT where he can teach the next gen. He says Punk can send them up to NXT where he can snatch every one of them.

Roman walks away and Punk asks if he thinks he can get away with him. Punk says Roman is all alone. He says Roman is chasing him. Punk says he's the champ. Punk says he runs things here and this is his show. He says Roman can hate him but he won't let him disrespect him. He says Roman made the list and he will now bury him instead of beating him at Mania. He says Roman won't be alone as he will bury him next to his father.

Thoughts
: This was designed to make us think they were shooting on each other here. Roman got the best of Punk in this one and Punk had a weird line at the end where he said he would bury him next to his father. This was not as good as their last mic battle.

Overall thoughts: Things started off hot and they had a strong first hour. It was still okay after but cooled off a bit. Dom list his IC Title in a surprise. Gunther and Dragon Lee had a good match. The Grande's continued their feud. The women weren't super active on this show and the Punk/Roman segment wasn't as good as the first one. We also got our second look at Danhausen, who did much better this time around. I'd give this a 6 out of 10 overall and they definitely upped things a bit as the build to Mania heats up. I liked it overall and thought it was good.

Rayo assisted springboard headscissors Akuma. Rayo and Ark do stereo tope con hilos out. Fuego top rope dropkicks a Gem. Fuego then seatbelt pins a Gem to win.

Thoughts: It was a very basic match that wasn't too impressive. We just got basic dives here without too much flair and the heels didn't impress much either. It was acceptable but was near boring at times.

El Elemental, Calavera Jr. I and II vs Xelhua, Magia Blanca and Dulce Gardenia

1st Fall - Xel wristlocks a Cal and bridges into an overhead arm throw on him. Xel then armdrags him out. Elem and MB fight. Elem quickly knocks him out of the ring. DG and MB then do stereo topes outside. A Cal top rope crossbodies Xel but Xel rolls through into a pin attempt. Cal double underhook drops Xel and submits him with a double armlock.

Thoughts: It was a very average and by the numbers match. The rudos winning ensured it would be a bit less exciting as well. There weren't a ton of highlights here.

Yutani, Gran Guerrero and Barbaro Cavernario vs Star Jr., Flip Gordon and Neon

1st Fall - Yut dropkicks Flip then misses one on Star. Star legdrops Yut between the legs. Barb la rosa suplexes Star then Neon dropkicks Barb. Neon hiptosses Gran then double jump diving headscissors him. Barb dropkicks Neon. Star springboard crossbodies Barb. Barb does the worm off of it.

Thoughts: It was an okay bout but not too much more. Neon still isn't quite doing all of his big dives after he got injured. We didn't see much of Gran at all in this.

Overall thoughts: All the stars are away in Japan so Puebla got the B-Team here. No one really tried that hard or did anything too spectacular here and it was an average night of wrestling. I wouldn't recommend this one at all and thought everyone mailed it in for the most part. I'd give this a 5 out of 10 and it was as average as it gets.

CWA Campeones del Hexagono 8/6/2022

CWA Campeones del Hexagono 8/6/2022

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2022/08/cwa-campeones-del-hexagono-7302022.html

We are at the famous (not really) Senor Frog's Restaurant for this one.

We see clips of last week's Marty Scurll vs Eros Quinones match.

Marty Scurll does a promo and says he's the new champion. He says it should make sense than the best wrestler in the CWA is the champ. He says long live The Villain.

This is our entrance way for the wrestlers. Definitely getting some Bash at the Beach vibes here.

Metal Boy vs Super Georgie

SG leg kicks him on the lock up attempt twice. Metal wristlocks him. SG rolls and cartwheels out then he hip throws him. SG rolls him up for 2. Metal checks a leg kick and then clubs on SG. SG armdrags him then superkicks him in the gut. SG hits kicks to the body then walks up the buckles, does rope tricks and diving headscissors him.

SG top rope crossbodies him for 2. SG does a grounded octopus. SG headscissors him. Metal backbreakers him off a tilt-a-whirl attempt then lariats him for 2. SG asai moonsaults, Metal avoids it and presses SG down on the landing. Metal pounds on him. Metal takes off the top turnbuckle pad then chokes SG with a towel.

Metal chinlocks him. SG fights out then hops over his back and armdrags him. Metal suplexes him twice then sitout gordbusters him for 2. Metal argues with the ref. SG hits shots to the body. He spin kicks him in the gut then standing shiranui's him. SG pulls his straps down and fires up. Metal begs off. SG blocks a punch and hip throws him. SG hits kicks to the body.

SG goes up and over and running back elbows him. SG hits more kicks to the body. He sweeps him and kicks him in the back of the head to win.

Thoughts: I liked it. Metal was fine as the heel. SG did some okay flying here and had some decent looking kicks.

Robert Diaz, Angel Rodriguez and Hansel Velez (in order)

Angel Rodriguez, Hansel Velez and Robert Diaz talk in the back. Velez says he passed his job onto the other guy. The other argues with him. He says if he wants to talk, let's talk in the office and solve it there in private. Velez doesn't look pleased as the other walks away with Angel.

Los Naturales (Criminal HD and Lizander el Intocable) vs Crowley and Craven

Note - I do not think I have the spelling right on Craven or Crowley's names. It took at least a half hour to figure out who anyone in this was as there were no graphics.

Criminal HD has the black and red tights on and he's thinner. Liz backs up Crowley (long hair) then pushes him down. Crowley side headlocks him then is hiptossed. Crowley slides out to recoup. Craven pushes Liz back on the lock up. Craven side headlocks him. Craven is hiptossed and he goes out.

Crowley and HD fight. HD hits forearms and facebusters him for 2. Crowley lariats HD then flying lariats him. HD grabs the ropes on the pin attempt. HD is double teamed in the corner. We go to break and return.

Craven chops HD then ddt's him for 1. Craven chokes him on the ropes. Crowley running boots HD. HD gets double stomped by his opponents. Craven kicks HD in the head for 2.

Crowley hits an elbow drop for 2. Criminal takes a double back elbow then Craven elbow drops him. Craven misses an elbow drop. Craven hits a big lariat on Liz. Los Naturales hit stereo mounted corner punches then Craven is whipped into a lariat. Crowley takes a double chokeslam and is pinned.

Thoughts
: The execution wasn't bad but I don't think they really got the flow down here. They also had a weird moment where the sound from one of the commercials kept playing instead of the commentary. I feel like The Natural's can go, especially Criminal HD but this wasn't that great.

We see clips of Leandra keeping the full nelson on Alisson from the show from 2 weeks ago. We then see her stomping her on the floor.

Alisson does a promo on Leandra. Ali says it's unbelievable that Leandra attacked her while she was down. She says when she catches her, she will smash her face like she did her mother. She says she's fine and is coming for her reign. She says she has a surprise in mind - a fourth generation wrestler. The announcers say it is Leandra's daughter.

Leandra comes out for her match and Alisson attacks her. Ali hits hard forearms then Leandra fights back. Ali hits some stiff shots. Ali beats her with a kendo stick. Leandra pushes her down and refs break it up. Leandra trips and Ali hits her, nailing her good in the face.

Alisson gets on the mic. Ali challengers her to maybe an anything go match. Leandra declines. Leandra teases running in but the refs hold her back. They end up not fighting and the announcers say they will have a street fight on Summer Mayhem.

Leandra does a promo in the back with a girl She says this place will be too small for the beating she will give her. She says she will show why she is called Leandra.

Manuel Rodriguez does a promo. He says he will rip his opponent's head off. We see clips of Manuel Rodriguez getting attacked with a tire iron.

Angel Rodriguez is with Los Inmortales and Robert Diaz. They have the tire iron that Manuel Rodriguez got attacked with and Angel laughs.

Overall thoughts: We had two matches here and a confrontation between Alison and Leandra. The opener was alright with both guys doing what they were supposed to do. The tag match that followed didn't quite get the flow down that it should have and wasn't as good. Criminal HD looked okay in it though. We then had a scuffle between Alisson and Leandra to close the show. There was nothing that great here and the show is very hard to follow if you are checking it out for the first time. I wouldn't recommend this one and would just give it a 5 out of 10.
