We are in Omaha, Nebraska this week.

Vince says this is meat country and Jesse is the biggest meathead. Jesse says Quake will tenderize Hulk and dig right into his prime rib. He says Hogan will be dead meat when Quake is done with him.

"Ravishing" Rick Rude vs Scott Colton

Rude does his usual bit on the mic before the match. He clubs Scott's back then slams him. He throws him out then does push-ups. Scott's head is banged off the apron then Rude lariats him. Rude does an inset promo. He says the Warrior inset buddy he has represents Warrior. He chokes the buddy and said whatever he wants to happen to Warrior will happen at Summerslam. Rude forearms Scott then clubs his neck. Jesse said the women are complaining that Rude isn't doing the real rude awakening until he wins the title. Rude then hits a neckbreaker and gets the win.

This was just a quick squash here with Scott getting nothing in.

Rhythm and Blues vs Troy Williams and George Anderson

R&B said the Legion of Doom will have no impact on them and says they aren't afraid of them. R&B says they are the only team to have one hit after after.

Honky elbows one of the jobbers then bangs his head off the buckles. Greg back elbows the jobber then throws him on a snapmare. Greg slams the guy out of the suplex position then the jobber takes a stiff double backdrop. Greg then mounts the jobber and pins him.

It was a quick one here with R&B's offense hitting hard.

Sargeant Slaughter does a promo with a gun. He said for weeks he's been watching the pinko commie Nikolai Volkoff. He calls the fans maggots and said it makes him sick to see the fans supporting Nikolai. Sarge says Nik supports peace and he says peace is for pansies. He says he's declaring war on peace, Volkoff and any fan that supports Nik.

Boy Scouts are here for a presentation with Nikolai Volkoff. They give him a medal of honor for his contributions to world peace, strength and unity. They then do the pledge of allegiance. Nikolai cries as he waves the flag.

WWF Event Center with Sean Mooney

Sean shills the 8/18/1990 Boston Garden show. Rick Martel does a promo on Jimmy Snuka. He says packaging is everything and says his Arrogance has class and style like him. He says Snuka is low class and said he has no doubt he comes from the jungle. He says Arrogance can't even do anything for his smell. He said he's going to send Snuka back to the jungle.

Hillbilly Jim does a promo. He said it's accepted that a man stands up for his buddies where he comes from. He said the way he has done it has left a little lacking. He said it might be time that he gets an attitude check and lay something upside his head that might make him come to his senses.

WWF Summerslam Report with Mean Gene Okerlund

Summerslam 1990 is sold out and PPV is the only way to see it. Mr. Perfect and Bobby Heenan do a promo. Heenan wants to know who Perfect's opponent will be at Summerslam and said he better be worthy. Perfect said no matter who they choose, they won't be perfect.

The Big Boss Man will be the referee for Bad News Brown vs Jake Roberts. Dusty Rhodes fights Macho King Randy Savage, Sweet Sapphire fights Queen Sherri and The Rockers face Power and Glory.

Earthquake, Jimmy Hart and Dino Bravo do a promo. Dino said Tugboat won't be a factor in the match. Quake said he's not worried about Tug or Hulk Hogan. He said Hulk has to be concerned as he is stepping up against the Earthqauke. He says it will be the end of Hulkamania when he gets him.

Hulk Hogan and Tugboat do a promo. Hulk said everything has changed and he said he never heard cheering like he did at Saturday Night's Main Event. He said Hulkamania is more dangerous than ever. Hulk said Quake's crew made the mistake of a lifetime. Hulk said he was thanking the crowd at SNME and a Quake attack could have happened again. He asked Tugboat how he knew to come out. Tug said he came out there and felt the Hulkamaniacs like never before. He said nothing will happen to Hulk again with him in his corner.

The Ultimate Warrior does a promo behind a cage. Warrior said it was said it couldn't be done. Warrior talks about the cage and said there will be no boundaries or limitations. He said those that can't come will give him visions inside the arena, while the fans in the arena will give him the power he needs to take Rude back to Parts Unknown.

Jake Roberts vs Spike Jones

Jake hammerlocks Spike then back elbows him. Bad News Brown does an inset promo with his rat cage. He said they will eat Damien and The Big Boss Man. Spike hits slams on Jake. Jake slips out of one and lariats Spike. Jake ddt's Spike and gets the win.

It was a quick squash as expected here. I was surprised Spike got to slam Jake around so much here.

The Brother Love Show with Demolition

Love says the last time the Demos were on his show, the way they treated The Hart Foundation was absolutely lovely. We then see clips of The Demos jumping The Harts. Love says only 2 of the Demolition can be at ringside at SummerSlam. Ax says the punishment and pain will continue for The Hart Foundation and calls them "The Crybaby Foundation". Ax says they have all these stipulations and favors but they make excuses. Ax says it will be a difficult task.

Crush says The Hart's may think all their problems are solved but Demolition still has the unknown factor. Smash says The Hart's don't know which 2 of them they will wrestle but Smash they know. Love asks them about The Legion of Doom, asking if they are a cheap imitation. Ax said they heard the LOD want a piece of them. Ax says about they beat The Hart's, The LOD are next on their hit list. Crush says to be careful what you wish for as it may come true. Crush says it may be your worst nightmare. Smash says The LOD comes in and picks fights with people. He said they should just ask them for a fight. Smash says they can do it, but they always finish the fight. Ax says they will have a victory celebration at SummerSlam that will be dedicated to Brother Love. 

It was a short but good promo foreshadowing a match with The LOD.

WWF Event Center with Sean Mooney

Sean hypes up the 8/18/1990 Boston Garden show. Demolition do a promo. They say Hacksaw Duggan can't trust The Hart's. Crush said it's the last act of a desperate team. Smash said they left them laying when it was just 2 guys and said the guy who cleans up the ring will have bigger pile of guys to clean up this time.

Dusty Rhodes says Sapphire is as happy as she can be with the new gifts. Dusty said they are most happy with the crown jewel (Miss Elizabeth) though. Dusty says Miss Elizabeth will tell Dusty if she sees Brother Love coming and Dusty said he will he will dot his "I". Dusty said Love had a pumpkin face and pumpkin head here.

Sapphire does a promo. She just received a cruise around the world to places she can't even pronounce. She's thrilled and says to keep them coming. Vince says it seems like Sapphire is getting greedy.

Power and Glory vs Warren Bianchi and Red Tyler

Slick gets on the mic and introduces his latest creation, Power and Glory. Power and Glory had music here and had their usual outfit with the white shirts and red glasses. This is their Superstars debut as a team. Jesse said Hercules is Power because of his strength and said Roma is Glory because always had a big head anyway.

Power and Glory do an inset promo. Slick says The Rockers will see two halves come together as one whole. Roma said they will feel the power and P&G will take all the glory. Roma dropkicks WB and backbreakers him. Roma slams WB then Herc hits a stiff lariat. Herc back elbows Red down.

Red is put on the top buckle and then takes the powerplex (superplex + top rope splash combo). Power and Glory then get the win.

The jobbers are beat up after then both are thrown out. Jesse said P&G are using Rockers' style tactics.

It was a quick squash here for Power and Glory. It would have been nice to see them get a little more in before getting the win.

WWF Event Center with Sean Mooney

More hype for the 8/18/1990 Boston Garden show. Boris Zhukov does a promo. He said he will watch his back against Volkoff. He said he can't believe Nikolai would jump him from behind and said he never jumped him from behind. He said he will have his flag in their flag match. He said he will bury Nikolai under his flag then waive his flag, making the crowd sing the Soviet national anthem.

The Hart Foundation and Jim Duggan do a promo. Neidhart said you don't have to be a computer engineer to figure out 3v2 isn't fair. Bret said they are bringing the big guns and heavy artillery. Jim said he was tired of seeing the 3 Demo's jump the two of them. Jim says it will be a war and they all go "hoooo!".

Vince McMahon and Jesse Venture hype up next week's show. Jesse said Hulk made a grave mistake against Quake. He said the people are responsible and said Hulk will get hurt real bad. He says not to blame him.

Overall thoughts: Not that much happened on this one except for Power and Glory's debut. The squashes were all short and unimpressive and there weren't a lot of new storyline developments either. Skip this one.
