Tag Team Triple Threat Qualifier Match - LWO vs Out The Mud

LWO gets jumped before they enter. Wilde is double hiptossed outside to inside. Wilde takes a double forearm in the corner then Price lariats Wilde. Price hits a release suplex on him for 2. Nima curb stomps him. Cruz hits a springboard hurricanrana on Nima. Price is pulled over the top then the LWO hit topes on him.

Wilde hits shots on Nima then pulls his neck over the top rope. Scrpts grabs Wilde then Price hits Wilde from the apron. Nima deadlift superplexes Wilde in. We go to break and return with Baron and Bron on the riser watching.

Nima pulls on Wilde's chin. Wilde avoids a double team and Cruz is hot tagged in. Cruz dropkicks Nima then hits lariats on Price. Cruz and Price hilariously blow some headscissors spot then Cruz double jump springboard dropkicks him.

Crzu hits punches on Nima then leg kicks. Nima hits a spinning side slam for 2 then Price superkicks Wilde. Cruz springboard kicks Price. Wilde jumps off Nima's back and dives on Price and Scrypts outside. Cruz hurricanrana's Nima off the ropes. Wilde holds onto Cruz then does a double jump springboard 450 on Nima. Wilde picks up the win.

This had one real bad botch in it but Nima busted out the deadlift superplex which was new and Wilde had two good dives here. It was a fast paced match and I did still think it was decent minus the issues.

Oba Femi is interviewed earlier in the day in the parking lot. He says he is supremely confident tonight then Brooks Jensen goes up to him. Brooks says to say it to his face and pushes him. Briggs asks him why he's trying to p!ss him off. Oba says to watch what he does to him tonight.

Andre Chase and Thea Hail talk in the back. Thea says it's been weird. Chase says she's always there for him. Duke asks Thea who her partner is. Thea shows Duke a picture of Nyx and Jacy hanging out without her. Thea says Nix is an influencer and says her and Jacy don't need to be together at all times. Thea said she has other friends and Chase/Duke don't believe her. She said she knows someone else who has issues with Kiana and Izzi then Kelani Jordan walks in. Kelani says she has her.

Roxanne Perez is in the ring. She said the sweet Roxanne Perez is no longer here and it's in the fans hands. She said this has been boiling up inside of her for months and is the culmination of an entire year. She said she collpased after fighting Meiko Satomura last year and said it was due to her carrying the women's division on her back.

She said she wants to talk about Becky Lynch. She said the fans acted like she didn't exist when she was against her. She said she went home crying when she got booed against her. She talks about Lyra Valkyria. She said she's sorry the latina dancing idiot and her friend ruined their match.

She said Lyra went after the tag titles after this then Perez realized she should break the rules and do things her way. She asked where the fans were when Indi had her title. She said no one cared then. She said Lyra's the one taking a ride in the ambulance one year later and said the pain she's feeling isn't the pain in her arm, it's the paint of her title being ripped away from her. She said we have witnessed the rise and fall of Lyra thanks to her. She said Ava can come out and vacate the title to Lyra and give it to the girl who never lost it in the first place, her.

Ava comes out. She said Perez stepped out of line last week. Perez says to wish Lyra a speedy recovery and make her the new women's champ. Ava said they didn't just strip her of the title last year, they waited to see her injuries. Tatum Paxley then jumps the rail and goes after Perez. The refs hold Tatum back.

It was one of Perez's better promos. Not great, because she's just not a great promo, but she did a good job going through her history and further expanding on her heel turn  through it. 

The D'Angelo Family is at a restaurant, because they always are. They talk about Roadblock, saying they welcomed a new person to the family in Luca Crusifino. They toast on it and Tony asks if he got that thing done. He said he did and that other thing. Rizzo said the other families want to pay respect to the future NXT champ. Tony said it feels good to call his shot and hit a home run. Tony said Stacks hit Trick's music last week to distract Melo and it worked out well. Luca asks how he did it and Tony said he called Trick up and set it up.

Ilja Dragunov comes in. Tony asks his family to leave. Ilja congratulates Tony and said he has everything. Ilja said the title is everything he has. Ilja says his title stays with him no matter what he does at Stand and Deliver. Tony says no matter what happens here, The Don likes him. Luca and Stacks then grab Ilja and take him to the back. Someone then walks in and asks Tony if everything is already and he says it is.

We go to the parking lot and while we didn't see it, Luca and Stacks put Ilja in the trunk of a car. Tony asks if we are all set and said let's take a ride. 

Mr. Stone vs Lexis King

Stone flurries on him then plancha's him. Stone misses a top rope dive then is kneed in the gut. King hits kicks and knees on Stone. King does an abdominal stretch variation on Stone.

King hits a knee to the gut and chops him down. King is pushed off the top then Stone top rope crossbodies him for 2. King hits a running kitchen sink to the back of the head then hits his coronation neckbreaker to win it.

Stone got a little in here early then got put down. It was mostly what I expected and it felt like we saw this before.

King goes for more shots after then Von saves Stone. 

Oba Femi is interviewed. He said it was an ignorant boy convincing himself he is ready for the challenge. Oba said he displayed that he is not ready to walk in his jungle and will be slaughtered. Dijak walks in. He said he's not buying this. He said when he is finished playing around, we'll see if he has what it takes to be a real champ.

We see Ridge Holland working out. He talks to his family on facetime and they tell him to be careful. 

NXT North American Title - Oba Femi (c) vs Brooks Jensen

They lock up and Brooks is knocked off the apron. Oba shoulders him over then side throws him. Briggs is watching in the back with Kale Dixon and Evans. Brooks comes off the top and is hit in the gut. Oba double axe handles him in the back of the neck. Oba pounds on him then Brooks lariats him.

They stare down and we go to PiP break. We return and Oba is dropkicked out. Brooks elbow drops his neck off the apron. Oba uranage backbreakers him. Briggs comes out and cheers on Brooks. Brooks hits a lariat and dropkick. Brooks powerslams him for 2. Oba back body drops him then throws him on a backdrop twice. Oba stares down Briggs then Briggs hits a nice pop-up powerbomb. Oba hits another powerbomb and wins it.

It made sense with Brooks trying but being dominated then Briggs coming down to cheer on Brooks. Not super great and somewhat one sided but it fit the storyline. 

Tony and crew are on a bridge with Ilja Dragunov. Ilja is pulled out of the trunk. Tony said this wasn't done out of disrespect. He said he can't walk into his restaurant uninvited and go unpunished. Tony said he's walked onto this bridge with many men and walked out alone. Tony said this isn't one of those walks. Tony says he's a mad dragon and a human weapon. Tony says to look where he is though. Tony says he can end everything with the snap of his fingers. Tony said Ilja has power but not this kind of power. Ilja says to snap your fingers and show your power. Tony says he will and tells him to have a nice walk back. Ilja tells him he always finds a way.

If Dolan loses, she has to allow Grace to mentor her - Gigi Dolin vs Arianna Grace

Grace has a nice entrance outfit on. Grace is backed up in the corner and tries to use the ropes to hide. Grace side headlocks her then she slides out. Gigi goes after her then Grace misses an elbow drop. Gigi hits forearms then takes a hip attack on the ropes. Gigi basement dropkicks her against the bottom rope. Grace pulls down Gigi from the ropes and stomps on her.

Grace suplexes her and hits an elbow drop for 2. Gigi rolls her up for 2 then Grace uses the ropes to block a backslide. Grace shoulder throws her for 2. Gigi somewhat botches a suplex on her then hits knees and lariats. Gigi high kicks her then hits a rainmaker sto for 2.

Grace puts her tiara on Gigi. The ref grabs it and they fight over it. Grace low blows Gigi then Gigi low blows her in front of the ref. The ref disqualifies Gigi.

I don't know if I've ever seen a women's match end on a low blow. That was something different. I thought it was a smart match though. Grace had been saying she didn't want to fight and was using rope breaks and stuff to avoid contact. Then she ends up cheating and tricks Gigi into cheating and wins. Pretty clever stuff with good logic.

Karmen Petrovic and Sol Ruca talk in the back. Sol said she's been waiting 10 months to return. She says she's not done with the girl who attacked her though. Lola Vice walks in. She said only the strong survive and calls Karmen a little karate girl. She said she can't handle her in the cage or in the ring. Karmen said let's get in the ring and see. Lola said we'll see. Brinley Reece ocmes in. She said Sol breaking up the fight shows her positive vibes and calls them good sports. She keeps talking then Enofe and Blade physically take her away.

Kiana James and Izzi Dame vs Thea Hail and Kelani Jordan

Jordan is laid out in the back and Thea freaks out. She tries to start the match alone. Then Fallon Henley comes out to help her.

The faces hit stereo dropkicks to start. Izzi takes shots gfrom both then takes a double lariat. Kiana takes a double shoulder then takes a double armwringer. Kiana hits corner spears on Fallon and does her backflip. Fallon mises a kick and they stare down while on all fours. Fallon draogn screw leg whips her.

Izzi catches Fallon then Fallon uses the ropes to armdrag her. Fallon hits a kick to the head from behind then Fallon takes a stun gun. Kiana running boots Fallon in the side of the head. Kiana corner spears Fallon then Izzi holds Fallon for shots from Kiana.

Izzi chokes Fallon on the ropes then cranks her neck. Jacy and Nyx walk down. Fallon fights off a 2v1then Thea is tagged in. Thea headscissors Izzi then roll of the dice neckbreakers Kiana. Thea slams Kiana, rolling sentons her then bottom rope sentons her. Fallon lariats Izzi over the top and goes with her. Kiana spinebusters Thea for 2. Thea puts the kimura on Kiana and is dumped over the top.

Jacy pulls Fallon away outside causing Izzi to kick Thea. Kiana hits the one legged codebreaker in the ring and wins it.

It was a fast paced and spirited tag. I liked the finish here with Jacy and Nyx getting involved. Fallon had a good night here and really is getting better over time.

Thea grabs the mic after. She said she thinks Jacy thinks she is a loser right now. Thea asks what's wrong with her and asks what she did to her. She said she thought Jacy was everything and her best friend. Thea said she changed herself for Jacy and said Jacy has just become a more torrent verson of herself. She said she ignored that because she idolized her and thought she was her isster. Thea said she was wrong and said she is done. She says this isn't Thea, this is Jacy. She said she doesn't want to be anything like Jacy. She said she's sorry she's not cool enough for her. She says "the old Thea Hail is back, b!tch" then Thea throws the mic down and starts running around the ring. Jacy and Nyx walk off.

Riley Osborne is in the back and cheers her on. The No Quarter Catch Crew walk in. Gulak says it's 2 steps forward, 4 back for Thea. Dempsey said Thea reached her ceiling with them. They said they would know as Heritage Cup champs. Riley said Regal told them to respect where the Cup comes from. Dempsey said Riley's moves have no place near this cup. Riley said neither does he as he was born in Atlanta. Gulak said he will enact the catch clause if they keep it up. Axiom and Nathan Frazer walk in and said they are tied of it. Axiom said he's close to the first guy who held this cup (which was him under a different name). Frazer said he wonders what happened to that guy. Gulak said his crew will walk out of Stand and Deliver as tag champs and Heritage Cup champs.

Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson do a promo. They said being NXT tag champs sounds sweet to them. Karl said to get to Bron and Corbin, they have to go through Hank and Tank. Luke says good for them and said they were winning titles before they got in the business. Karl says they are on a mission to line them up and hand magic killers to every team there is. Karl said they will win the gold at Stand and Deliver.

Hank and Tank say they are real sweet and talk about coffee. Tank said everyone is talking about Stand and Deliver. Hank says The Good Brothers will overlook them. Hank says they will shock the world next week. Hank talks about challenging Bron and Baron then Tank says one match at a time. Bron and Baron come in, they said they know what its like being on the trenches. Baron asks if they are ready to beat the OC then Hank and Tank get super fired up and exit.

Ridge Holland vs Shawn Spears

Spears comes out in a skull mask with a chair. SS chops him then is rammed into the buckles. Ridge lariats him then SS hits chops and punches in the corner. Ridge runs at SS and back body drops him. Ridge hits a face kick then is pulled over the top to the floor.

Ridge hits euros. He goes to ram him into the post and SS says to do it. SS then sends him into the post. He tells him he should have done it and said he will hurt him now.

We go to PiP break and return. Ridge blocks a stomp.  SS hits superkicks. SS ties him up in the ropes and tells Ridge he let his wife down. Ridge grabs him by the throat then headbutts and lariats him. SS is thrown out then thrown into the rails. Ridge shoulders him then throws him into the steps.

Ridge clears off the commentary table then chokeslams SS onto it. Ridge grabs a chair and tries to use it but the ref stops him. SS rolls him up for 2 then death valley drivers him into the corner into a chair. SS then wins it.

They are really trying hard to make Ridge a sympathetic face here and I just don't think it's working nor will it work. What they did made sense with Spears sending Ridge over the edge but it was forced. The chokeslam through the table really should have finished off Spears here. 

Trick Williams comes out to talk. He said he's struggling to find the words for what he needs to say. He said he's angry and feels betrayed. He said when he tells someone they are his brother, he has their back. He said he watched Melo get ever single accolade NXT has to offer with a smile on his face. Trick asks him why.

He said watching Melo succeed made him want to step up and improve his game. He said he went to Shawn Michaels to ask what he had to do to step up. He said him taking a chance on himself is when Trick Willy was born. He said he heard people say Melo isn't happy for him and he didn't believe it. He said Cena told him Melo was hating on him. Trick said that's why he asked Melo if he attacked him. Trick said Melo lied to his face and has been lying for a long time. He said he lied about being his brother too.

Trick said Melo told the truth one time when he said they aren't on the same level. Trick said he agrees. He said they have never been on the same level and said he will never be on the same level as Trick Williams. Trick said he had his back and Melo stabbed him in his. Trick said they will have a match at Stand and Deliver. He said he will pay him back and give him everything back.

Noam Dar and Meta-Four come out. Dar said Trick's ride has been epic but says we are sick and tired of hearing about Melo. Dar said he deserved it. Trick says to say what he needs to say and leave him alone. Dar said Trick lost his best friend and said he lost his Heritage Cup. He said he didn't cry about it, he decided to move onto better things.

Trick tells him he's not in the mood. Dar said he's here to steal all the hype and said no one is hotter than him. He said everyone agrees with the way Lash is looking at him. Lash tells Trick to listen to Dar. Dar says Supernova 11 is ready to blast off and that's by knocking him out. Dar calls him a paper tiger and a one trick pony. Dar says they will fight about it next week then Trick decks Oro and Dar. Lash tries to hit Trick then Trick grabs her and they kiss in a weird moment. Trick then lets her go and beats up Dar and Oro. Oro takes a wild corkscrew bump to the outside. Meta-Four backs off as Lash's breath is taken away.

It was a really good promo by Trick. I didn't really get him kissing Lash but the crowd liked it.

Overall thoughts: It was a good show with a lot of storyline happenings. Tony's crew kidnapped Melo. Perez cut a good heel promo. Trick and Thea cut good face promos. They told stories in the Gigi/Grace match and in the Spears/Ridge match as well. They also did a good job building up Stand and Deliver. You can't ask for much more than what we got.
