Mid-States Wrestling 3/28/2024 Season 2, Episode 2

Stephen E. and Atila Khan are interviewed. E gets booed and said the amount of disrespect he is shown is sickening. He says Khan is the most dangerous man on earth and the international bounty hunter. He said people have put their hands on him and dares them to do it with Khan around. E says they're here to take over. E says Khan will do what he says and says everyone is in danger.

E says someone told him he looks like a million bucks. He said that's not the case as it would be a paycut. He said when you got the money and the power, you make the rules, and he said he's got the money.

Wrex Amadeus vs "The Silverback" Big Joe Helms

They say Wrex has the world's strongest mustache and said he had barbells hanging from it backstage. The announcers asks if Joe will try to rip off Wrex's mustache.

Wrex jumps Joe from behind, clubbing on him. Joe lariats him then hits a powerslam for 1. Joe chops Wrex. Wrex goes up and over in the corner then Wrex drives his face into the ring mat. Wrex elbow drops him for 2. Wrex does something like a blue thunder on Joe for 2. Joe hits a big spear.

Joe hits a corner splash then a cartwheel into a lariat. Wrex eye rakes him then Joe chokeslams him. Joe hits a TKO and gets the win.

It was a short but fun match. It was nice to see Wrex get some offense in and get a chance to show some personality. They had a fun little heavyweight match and you could really feel the high impact moves here. Good stuff here. 

Dred vs Johnny Dynamite

Nigel Rabid is with Dred. Johnny is one half of the tag champs here. Dred shoves him back then pie faces him. JD hits shots then lariats him over the top. Dred lands on his feet outside then JD goes for a tope. Dred catvches him and bangs his head off the apron.

Dred legdrops JD on the apron and spears the buckle then JD moves. JD comes off the top and is caught with a chokeslam. Dred slaps JD and goes for a chokeslam, but JD hits a cutte rout of it. JD then wins.

Lord Ateu (Dred's partner) jumps JD after. JD takes a 2v1 and is held for a big lariat from Dred. Nigel goes to use his cricket bat on JD but Johnny Lightning saves his partner JD.

This was short but Dred had a real good showing here. He was really moving well here and really showed a lot of potential in this.

Gabe the Babe vs "Night Train" Gary Jackson

Bigtime Ernie Elwood is with Gabe. He's wearing a giant Flava Flav style clock around his neck. Gabe's goofing around with his phone. Gary of course is another SICW regular along with Joe Helms, Stephen E and Atila Khan.

Gary side steps a lock up then Gary wristlocks him. Gary elbows the arm then Gabe wristlocks him. Gary armdrags him then hits a hptoss. Gary armdrags him. Ernie trips Gary then chokes him on the ropes.

Gabe chokes Gary on the ropes and stomps him. Gabe gets some height on a dropkick then Gary backbreakers him. Gary spinning neckbreakers him then elbow drops him. Gary ties up Gabe's legs and submits him.

It was another shorter match and there was nothing wrong with. Gary looked decent as usual and Gabe didn't get a ton in here but some basic heel stuff.

Overall thoughts: Wrex vs Joe was good. Dred looked good against Johnny Dynamite and there was nothing wrong with Gabe/Gary. It was a quick 30 minute show and it was fun for what it was.
