Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling 3/3/2024 LIVE TOUR 2024 SPRING Day 1
Ami Yumoto, a new TJPW girl who was an idol singer came out as did someone else who I didn't recognize. Yuki Kamifuku also came out to talk.
Nao Kakuta and Kira Summer vs Chika Nanase and Arisu Endo
This is the debut of Kira Summer and Chika's 2nd match. Kira and Chika start us off. Kira hammerlocks her and Chika reverses it. Kira does a nice takedown and they mat wrestle. Nao gets in and hair throws her. Nao throws her down backwards and baseball slides her. Kira back elbows her.
Kira hits a high slam on Chika then Chika rolls her up. Chika back elbows her then Endo hits stomps on Kira. Endo flying forearms Endo in the corner then pulls both of her arms back. Kira shoulders over Endo and tags out. Nao gets rolled into a dropkick then takes a flying lariat. Nao face kicks Endo on the ropes then Kira shoulders Endo over. Kira slams her for 2. Endo back elbows Kira.
Kira hits forearms on Endo. Endo legsweeps her and does a knee curbstomp on Kira's neck. Kira is then put in the camel clutch. Endo waterwheel drops Kira then camel clutches her. Endo wins via tap out.
It was a good debut for Kira. She's a bigger girl and did more power moves like slams and shoulders. She didn't botch anything here and looked better here than Chika. It was a very basic opener but it was fine for what it was.
Miu Watanabe and Uta Takami vs Shino Suzuki and Raku
This is the debut match of Uta Takami. Shino and Uta go at it. Uta wristlocks her then is wristlocked. Uta then reverses that. Shino side headlocks her and takes her over. Uta headscissors her and they stand off and tag out. Miu and Raku go at it. Raku ducks lock-ups then chops her in the leg. Miu blocks a hiptoss with an armdrag. Miu shoulders her over.
Raku takes a double lariat. Uta misses a corner charge and Raku splashes her. Shino boots Uta's leg then pulls on it. Raku snapmares Uta and hits horribly weak stomps to the leg. Raku tramps on her and sits on her for a pin attempt. Shino suplexes Uta for 2.
Shino hits forearms and stomps on Uta. Uta back elbows her. Miu frearms Shino over then Miu splashes her. Shino dropkicks Miu. Miu bearhugs Raku then Raku gets on her back and sunset flips her over. Miu swinging backbreakers her then Uta dropkicks Raku.
Raku chops Uta then swinging facebusters her. Raku guillotine chokes Uta then Shino neckbreakers Miu. Uta hits forearms on Raku then goes up and over in the corner. Uta dropkicks her off of it. Uta sleepers Raku and chops her on the head. Raku grounded guillotine chokes Uta and taps her out.
They did the very bare basics here during the match. Miu's good at those though. Uta had an okay debut. She's really short and got little in except for dropkicks.
Suzume vs Mahiro Kiryu vs Kaya Toribami
Kaya takes down Suzu then MK side headlocks Kaya. Suzu puts one on then Kaya rolls up MK. Suzu low dropkicks MK then Kaya flying knees MK. Kaya cartwheels over Suzu. Suzu goes up and over then hiptosses her. Kaya rolls over her back then MK tries it too. MK takes a double back elbow and Kaya boots Suzu out.
MK hits stomps on Kaya then slams her. MK kneels on Kaya's back and says something to the crowd. She does it again and Suzu dropkicks her out. Suzu jumping back elbows Kaya then kneels on her and says something. MK boots Suzu for it.
Suzu throws out MK. Kaya japanese armdrags Suzu and dropkicks her. Suzu flying headscissors Kaya and corner dropkicks her. Suzu is thrown off the top by MK, then they trade forearms. MK running forearms Suzu.
Kaya does a nice roll on Suzu then armbars both opponents at once. Kaya misses a springboard elbow on MK then MK side slams her. MK crabs Kaya. MK blocks Suzu's bulldog then Kaya dropkicks MK. Suzu cutters Kaya and wins it.
It was a fast paced three way. No real botches or anything but nothing too amazing. It would have been better if they cut 2-3 minutes off of this one.
Shoko Nakajima and Hyper Misao vs Pom Haraujku and Yuki Kamifuku
Shoko's theme cut into Misao's theme here. Cutting off Misao's theme should be illegal. Pom and Yuki did some funny dance to Shoko's theme but the camera missed most of it.
Shoko's team attacks before the bell. Pom is tied up while Misao talks on the mic. This goes on for a while. Pom tells them some kind of secret and yells in both of their ears. Pom does her terrible double clubs on Misao's chest. Yuki foot chokes Misao in the corner then pulls her neck first into the ropes. Pom puts Misao down in the corner and does some weak stomps to her leg. Shoko grabs some spray then Misao grabs her own spray and spray's Pom in the face. Shoko catapults Pom's throat into the ropes then Misao knee chokes Pom in the corner.
Shoko slingshot swantons Pom for 2. Shoko headscissors Pom then bangs her head off the mat. Pom screams at Shoko, hurting her ears then Shoko gut punches her. Pom low dropkicks her then Yuki gets in. Yuki jumping face kicks Shoko then hits a nice dropkick on her. Shoko back rolls Yuki then Misao rolls Yuki up. Shoko slingshot sunset flips Yuki, rolling her into a Misao pin attempt. Shoko uses Misao's back to headscissor Yuki. Shoko botches a bodyscissors on Yuki then 619's her. Yuki chops Shoko then Shoko rolls her into a double underhook submission.
Yuki does a nice octopus on Shoko then Yuki suplexes Shoko. Pom and Misao get in. Pom armdrags her off the ropes then low dropkicks her. Pom legdrops Misao's leg then Misao back elbows her. Misao chicken wings her. Pom low dropkicks Misao in the knee then 2nd rope dropkicks her. Pom facebusters her. Shoko and Yuki get in. Shoko headscissor takeovers Yuki then topes her outside. Pom does a neat backroll on Misao.
Misao knees Pom in the face then hits an elbow slice out of the reverse ddt position to win it.
It went a little long and I didn't get why Yuki didn't help her partner Pom out in the beginning. I did kind of like it though and found it entertaining.
Rika Tatsumi vs Haru Kazashiro
Rika misses an elbow then hits one. Rika chokes Haru then Haru dropkicks her twice. Haru armbars her then Rika dropkicks her leg. Rika dragon screws her then Haru does a nice pin attempt with a bridge. Haru dropkicks her then Rika hip attacks her. Rika hits a twist of fate then wins it.
It was a short vet vs rookie match. Not real memorable or anything but okay for what it was.
Miyu Yamashita and Moka Miyamoto vs Toga and Wakana Uehara
Moka and Waka start us off. They trade wristlocks and side headlocks. Waka headscissors her and they stand off. Waka cartwheels out of a lariat then dropkicks Moka. Waka totally misses a handspring back elbow. Moka takes a double shot. Moka pounds on Toga in the corner.
Miyu snapmares Toga and back kicks her. Moka armlocks Toga then Miyu low dropkicks Toga. Miyu clubs Toga's chest then Toga forearms her back. Waka hits a nice dropkick on Miyu then forearms her. Miyu drops her with a chest kick. Moka punches Waka in the gut, Miyu legsweeps Waka then Moka gut chops Waka.
Moka slams Waka for 2. Waka hits forearms on Miyu and Miyu drops her with one. Miyu sleepers Waka then Moka slams Waka. Moka punches Waka in the gut. Waka hits forearms. She suplexes Moka. Toga gets in and slams Moka.
Toga shoulders Moka over then Moka leg lariats her. Miyu hits kicks on Toga then flying lariats her. Miyu cobra clutch throws Toga into a grounded cobra clutch. Moka then grounded cobra twists Waka at the same time. Toga forearms Miyu down for 2. Miyu messes up her triangle kick on Toga. Miyu high kicks her then hits a high attitude adjustment to win it.
They started off well with Waka getting beaten up on. Then Toga got in. They didn't really capitalize on the hot tag and the match just kept going. I thought they blew a real easy match format here for something lesser and went longer than they needed to.
Ryo Mizunami and Yuki Aino vs Himawari and Mizuki
Miz and Ryo start us off. They rope break. Miz sticks her finger in her nose at her then Ryo bites the finger. Miz then bites her arm. Ryo shoulders her over, Miz low dropkicks her and they stand off. Hima and Aino go at it. Hima hammerlocks her then Aino side headlocks her. Hima tries to roll up Aino but Aino blocks it. Miz trips Aino from the outside. Aino takes corner attacks.
Aino picks up Hima and throws her at Miz. Ryo shoulders Hima over and shakes the ropes. Ryo legdrops Hima then Aino shoulders Hima over. Ryo throws Aino into Hima then they double shoulder Hima in the corner. Ryo machine gun chops Hima then machine gun chops her while Miz is behind her. Ryo machine gun chops Miz.
Hima dropkicks Aino then Miz dropkicks Aino. Miz crossbodies Ryo on the apron but Ryo doesn't move. Miz dropkicks Aino into Ryo then top rope crossbodies them outside. Miz top rope crossbodies Aino inside for 2.
Aino gutwrench suplexes Miz then 2nd rope shoulders her. Ryo lariats Miz on the ropes, hits a nasty german and a legdrop for 2. Ryo crossfaces her and Miz ropebreaks. Ryo chops down Miz then Miz hits chest forearms. Ryo forearm combos her then Miz rolls her into a double stomp. Miz dropkicks Ryo through the ropes then top rope double stomps her back.
Ryo lariats Miz then Miz cuty specials her. Ryo stops Hima's single leg crab. Aino gets in and Hima hits shoulders on her. Aino shoulders her over then 2nd rope corkscrew elbows her. Hima throws Aino off the 2nd rope then pulls her head forward for 2. Hima shoulders her over then single leg crabs her.
Aino sits on Hima's back with a full nelson and Miz breaks it up. Miz takes a double STO then Aino reverse ddt's Hima to win it.
It was acceptable but not great or anything. Hima did mostly comedy here and didn't get to contribute much.
Ryo and Aino talked on the mic after.
Overall thoughts: It's TJPW and the girls are often cute but more limited and more comedic. Kira Summer didn't do much in her debut, but what she did looked good. I thought she had a good debut. Uta Takami did even less in her debut but she's better looking and moves and sells okay. I kind of liked Pom Harajuku's tag and the three way was fast paced. Wakana Uehara's tag could have been good but went too long. The main was fine. It wasn't a great show but I did like it overall and it had more bad than good.
