Mid-States Wrestling Season 1, Episode 2

The Blue Bolt does a promo. He said he's the man from the land of thunder and lightning and is the most electrifying wrestler. He said he's here to prove that he's the best and no one can stand in his way.

Dread Roberts vs The Blue Bolt

They lock up and DR throws Bolt twice. Bolt armdrags him twice then hiptosses him. DR gets armdragged again then Bolt headscissors him over. DR hits a big lariat for 2.

We go to break and return. DR legdrops him on the apron. Bolt goes up on the 2nd rope and crossbodies him. DR catches him and hits a high fallaway slam. DR pulls on Bolt's neck then chinlocks him. DR big boots him.

Bolt escapes a last ride then hits a code red for the win.

The finish was too soon here and Bolt could have used some offense before getting the win to put it over better. 

Wrex Amadeus vs Jimmy Fiasco

Wrex is nicknamed "The World's Strongest Mustache". They lock up, Jimmy backs off and dances. Wrex piefaces him then chops him. Wrex bangs Jimmy's head off the buckles and flips into a facebuster on Jimmy. Wrex pulls on Jimmy's face then clubs his back.

Wrex hits punches and forearms while Jimmy is on his knees. The crowd chants for Jimmy then Jimmy grabs him by the nose. Jimmy hits a knee to the gut then hits an attitude adjustment. Julie Azul gets on the apron and distracts the ref. Jimmy gets distracted then takes a low blow. Wrex pump kicks Jimmy and gets the win.

This wasn't much with Jimmy getting beaten up on and goofing around some before being defeated. The crowd really liked Jimmy, but I didn't see a lot here.

Alan Jefferson vs Roscoe Monroe

Alan throws a headband at the commentators. They cut RM's entrance here for some reason. RM is on the ropes clapping and Alan hits him. Alan stomps on RM then bangs his leg off the post. The bell finally rings and RM gets dropkicked in the knee. Alan leglocks him and uses the ropes for extra leverage. Alan hits kicks to the leg and knocks RM down.

Alan ddt's RM's leg then hits a nice dropkick. RM sells it for a second then gets up and is ready. RM lariats him then slams him. RM does a rolling senton then yanks on his leg. RM big boots him for 2 then Alan bangs RM's leg off the bottom rope.

Alan gets a wrench from under the ring and hits RM with it. The ref sees it and Alan is dsiqualified.

Alan hits RM's leg with the wrench after then pulls on his mouth with it. The commentator says this is enough and then throws Alan off. Alan pushes him and gets dropped with a punch. Alan then gets suspended indefinitely for his actions.

Roscoe's older but they made it part of his gimmick so it works. He's a natural face that looks like your great uncle. It was okay with Alan working the leg, RM making his comeback then Alan getting caught while trying to cheat. Obviously, this would have worked better if Alan had been doing stuff like this for this weeks and if we had seen him provoke the commentator more before this.

Overall thoughts: This one was just average. None of the matches were that great here and I wouldn't recommend it.
