Thoughts: The Guns should probably have won here since it was thier PPV debut. And it's a 5-match series, so both teams are going to win and lose during it anyway. It was an okay match. The switch from the Tailgate Brawl to the PPV was a bit of distraction. They didn't do anything to out of the norm here to really put this over the top.

Nick low blows CJ twice. CJ no sells it, punches him down and reveals that he's wearing a protective cup. CJ then punches Nick with the cup. The ref takes the cup and CJ low blows Nick. Nick ducks down to avoid a judas effect and pins CJ.

Thoughts: It kind of went as I thought it would with them both doing some cheating and Nick winning in the end. CJ didn't do all the wild stuff Nick usually does which helped things somewhat. It was acceptable enough and they had some of the logic of this down.

Nick gets on the mic after. Nick says he beat CJ for the 2nd time and a blast of fireworks goes off.

Thoughts: 3 of the 4 guys here are spotmonkeys who don't sell and do way too much. This match was always going to be an indy extravaganza and that's what it was. I hated it. It was little but big moves with none of them meaning squat.

Thoughts: It was basically a random match here. It worked out alright enough with everyone mostly hitting their stuff clean. Did this need to be on PPV? Not really, but it went alright enough. I thought Queen had a shot at winning this one. I'm still not really impressed with Pers' title reign.

TC grabs a title belt outside then tries to bring a chair in. Idolo ddt's him over the 2nd rope onto a title. Idolo spinning double underhook ddt's him and pins him.

Thoughts: I didn't like it. It got too silly with TC mocking Idolo and it brought it down for me. This bascially turned into a comedy match and that's not what Ciampa should be doing.

Thoughts: It was alright. Bandido's big moonsault double fallaway slam spot at the end was super cool. We got a lot of mayhem and flying as expected. Some of the outside bridge spots could have been sped up or removed.

Kofi's team grabs the titles after as Band's team poses. Swerve drops his title instead of handing it to Page and Kofi/Creed hand their titles over to King and Band after.

Renee is on the stage and introduces us to the newest AEW member. They have some kind of giant old school clock. Ilja Dragunov comes out as expected. He's a good wrestler and he'll have a lot of good matches. I don't expect him to be a ratings draw and I worry AEW will get him even more banged up than he usually is.

Thoughts: It was another okay match here. The story of Mox thinking of quitting was interesting. Mox bled as he almost always tends to do. They hit each other hard here as expected. I would have liked the apron piledriver to be the end of this, but it wasn't.

Thoughts: This was obviously taken off of NXT's Iron Survivor Challenge...but I love that match so I'm not complaining. It didn't quite get enough time, which is not something that gets said a lot with big AEW PPV matches. I think this could have been expanded upon in a lot of ways with various stories, but at least it didn't overstay it's welcome. It was good. Like a lot of multi-man matches, you had people coming in and out randomly to do a spot then swap out with the next guy. It had a lot of action but wasn't as crazy as I had expected it to be. Will winning this as champ doesn't really do much to advance stories while it writes off the other guys for the time being. They said there would be a sudden death here if needed but oddly, we didn't get to it. I'd be down for seeing this one again. I think this might be better if the winner has to reach ___ number of points. Then, it can go as long as it needs to go.

Cope offers Will a handshake after and Will accepts it. Cope seems to motion that he wants the title still. Will poses with the title to close the show.

Overall thoughts: It was the usual very long AEW PPV. It went 4 hours and 15 minutes (plus the hour pre-show) and if you stayed up for this, you were up until 12:15AM. It's nice of them to try and give the fans their money's worth, but it's an endurance battle to get through these and it takes up too much time. The only match I didn't like here was The Young Bucks' match. The wrestlers didn't go all out for the main here but the main was a nice tryout for the concept. I'm sure the next time they do that match, it'll be insane, but today was not that night. This PPV had a real weak build going in but AEW is also just a more-wrestling oriented promotion and the stories are usually secondary to the action. I'd say the main was the match of the night. I'd give this a 7 out of 10 total and it was a good show.
