AEW All Out 2026 9/26/2026

Note - This ran against WWE World's Collide which was also in Chicago. WWE was supposed to air that event live but didn't.

The pre-show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2026/09/aew-collision-9262026-all-out-tailgate.html

We are in Chicago, IL. Taz, Excalibur and Tony Schiavone are on commentary.

Thoughts: I thought it was average. It went long, it was slow and they wasted a lot of time here. If you were looking for a wild high flying battle, this wasn't it. I didn't like the finish either.

#1 Contenders to the AEW Tag Titles - Darby Allin and Steven Borden vs. The Don Callis Family (Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher)

DA throws his jacket in Kyle's face before the match. Kyle wants SB in. They lock up and Kyle tries to hit him on the break. Kyle hits forearms. SB hits shots on Kyle and the heels get sent out. SB armdrags Kyle. Kyle tries to slam him but SB holds onto the arm.

They jump at each other in mid-air and both go down. The doc checks on SB. The doc then stops the match as SB hits his head off the mat. The ref stops the match and the heels win via doctor stoppage.

Thoughts: The spot that ended this was stupid and I hope Steve is okay. I won't be rating this one as we didn't get a real finish to it.

We cut away from the ring. They show the hosts and do not show the ring.

AEW TBS Title - Persephone (c) vs Dani Luna

This is an open challenge. Dani left TNA a few months ago and was rumored to be headed here.

They lock up. Pers gets a side headlock in early and they shoulder each other. Pers rolls her on the mat for 1 and belly to belly suplexes her. Dani crucifixes her. Pers slaps her and face shoves her. Dani drops her with a big forearm.

Thoughts: They stiffed each other here and each took some hard bumps. The crowd wasn't that into it because neither girl is that over here and I thought it went longer than it needed to. I'd say it was average overall. Having Dani lose in her debut is stupid.

AEW International Title - Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. Tommaso Ciampa

They lock up and go to the ropes. KO clean breaks him. KO boots him in the gut and side headlocks him. KO grabs him by the beard and side headlock takeovers him. TC goes for the headscissors and they stand off. They repeat the spot and stand off. They trade forearms.

TC is on the 2nd rope and is dropkicked from behind, sending his head into the post. KO bridging ddt's him on the floor in front of TC's family in the front row. KO asks Tc's daughter for a high five then he gives her the middle finger. The daughter then gives KO the finger back.

TC hits an angel's wings for 2. TC hits facewash kicks and KO over the back neckbreakers him on the knee. KO slams him and top rope elbow drops him. TC bites KO's finger then stomps it into the mat. TC knees him in the face. TC germans him. KO no sells it shotgun dropkicks him.

TC facekicks him and powerbomb backbreakers him for 2. Don Callis argues with the ref. KO grabs a screwdriver. KO comes off the 2nd rope and TC pumping knees him.

KO blocks a pumping knee and germans him. TC pumping knees him then KO dropkicks him. TC slides out of a dropkick and pumping knees him for 2.

TC dropkicks him. TC forearms him. KO rolls him up for 1. KO lariats him down then dropkicks him. KO emerald flowsion's him then rainmaker's him for the win.

Thoughts: Okada won as expected as he needs to hold this title forever...because of reasons. It was another longer one with a slower pace. I guess it was alright overall but it would have been nice to speed this up a bit more and keep a more consistent flow going here.

KO taunts Ciampa's family after.

The commentators say Steven Borden is conscious and just arrived at the hospital.

AEW Women's Tag Titles - Chicago Street Fight - The Brawling Birds (Alex Windsor and Jamie Hayter) (c) vs. Divine Dominion (Lena Kross and Megan Bayne)

The girls set up chairs in the ring. They sit on them and trade shots. Meg and Jamie have chairs thrown at their heads. Alex and Jamie take moves on chairs for 2 counts.

The heels grab a barbed wire board and put it in the ring. Alex is sent head first into a chair. Jamie death valley drivers Meg through a barbed wire board.

Tacks are poured in the ring. Lena takes a hart attack on the tacks and gets pinned.

Thoughts: Like a lot of things on this show, it went long. But at least it was something different. They busted out the barbed wire, tacks, chains and tables here. It was alright. I was surprised to see Lena and Meg lose and think it has be the end of their team for a while.

Blood and Guts is on 11/4.

Tony Schiavone repeats what he said a little ago about Steven Borden.

AEW Trios Titles - Swerve Strickland and The New Level (Austin Creed and Kofi) (c) vs Adam Page and Brodido (Brody King and Bandido)

Band side headlocks Kofi then shoulders him over. Kofi superkicks him in the gut. Band does his finger gun pose at him. Kofi then does it back to him. Kofi top rope crossbodies him. They each flip out of monkey flips, try to dropkick each other at the same time and stand off.

King throws down Creed on a lock up twice. King shoulders him over and chops him down. King sentons him and throws him out. Creed gets on the steps and Page boots him off the steps. King crossbodies Creed against the rails.

King sends SS into the rails. Page apron ssp's Creed's back (while he's bridged) and Creed goes into a codebreaker from Band on the floor. SS house call kicks Page from the apron.  Page moonsault fallaway slams SS then Band does the same to Kofi.

Band chops Creed down. Creed superkicks him then shoulders him over. Band has 2 people on his shoulders. King puts a 3rd up there and Band fallaway slams/samoan drops them all.  Band top rope moonsaults the 3 opponents outside.

Band tries to german 2 people but can't. King grabs Band and they double german them all. Page and Band hit stereo topes. King piledrivers Creed for 2.

Creed powerbombs King. Kofi top rope double legdrops King and SS top rope 450's King for 2 (King had all 3 men on him for the pin). Kofi spin kicks Page. Band hits a springboard crossbody then eats a tornado ddt. SS house call kicks King then takes a spinning lariat.

Page buckshot lariats Kofi then pop-up powerbombs SS. Page buckshot lariat creed then SS house call kicks Page. Band hits a reverse GTS on SS. SS hits a JML driver on Band and pins him.

Thoughts: The finish was a little sudden. I'd say it was good. It had a ton of action and some creative spots. They also did a nice job of keeping the Page/Swerve feud going.

#1 Contenders to the AEW Women's Title - Thekla vs. Willow Nightingale

Thek flying headscissors Will. Will shoulders her over then sentons her. Thek hurricanrana's Will and they trade pin attempts. Will pounces Thek. Thoughts: I would have liked to have seen Thek win with a hand based hold here since she spent a decent portion of this one working on it. This was a little high up on the card based on the skill of the wrestlers involved. They had some of the right ideas here but I thought it was only average.

Mercedes Mone comes out on the stage and poses. Thek has some words for her from the ring.

AEW Tag Titles - Ladder Match - Christian Cage and Adam Copeland (c) vs. FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) vs. The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson)

All 6 men fight. Cope's head is banged off the steps. Dax grabs a ladder and is tripped into the steps with it. Cope crossbodies Matt's back against the 2nd rope. Matt takes a side slam + reverse ddt combo. Cage chairs a chair into Dax's face. Cash has a chair thrown at his face.

Cash gets chaired as does Dax. Dax is busted open. FTR  tkae running corner lariats then stereo bulldogs on open chair seats. A Buck is crotched on a hair top rope edge. Cage then hits the chair underneath him.

A Buck is double hiptossed onto chairs. A Buck is popped up into double dropkicks on Cage and Cope, which sends chairs into Cage and Cope's faces. Cope and Cage baseball slide a ladder into the other people's faces. Cope and Cage then do top rope dives outside.

Cash chairs Cope. Cope takes a spike piledriver on the apron. Cash is double superkicked. Cash takes a meltzer driver on the floor. Dax and Cope are on tables. The Bucks climb a ladder together then hit an elbow drop and splash at the same time. Cash topes between ladder rungs and sends Cage into a table on the rails.

All 6 men climb 3 ladders in the ring. Cope goes under the ladders and spears a Buck. Nick takes a shatter machine from the ladders by FTR. Dax hangs out of a ladder rung and takes a double chair shot. Cope is pushed off a ladder and goes crotch first on the top rope. Cash is thrown over a standing ladder and hits his legs on the ropes as he falls.  Cage takes a bte trigger off a ladder and The Bucks grab the tag titles to win.

Thoughts: The Bucks win...of course. Did they need to win? No, but the AEW Tag division is only allowed to focus on 2 teams and those are The Bucks and FTR. And The Bucks just happen to be EVP's, which I'm sure had no weight in this outcome. It was a long match with tons of dangerous spots here. I'm sure there were multiple injuries. I'm not trying to purposely undercut this, just everything you could really do in a ladder match has been done already and the bar for outdoing something like TLC II is so impossibly high that it's not even worth it. I just don't want to see people get hurt and take unnecessary risks on a match that probably don't stand the test of time.

We get a video on Wardlow, who has been out of action since March 2024.

AEW World Title - Will Ospreay (c) vs Jon Moxley

Will gets a violin player for his entrance and I think a video that was based on Assassin's Creed. Will then lights a Death Riders flag on fire with his buddies in the parking lot. Will says, "Let's f*cking do this".

Will rolls out of a wristlock. Mox hammerlocks him and Will reverses it. They go on the mat and get up. Mox side headlocks him then shoulders him over. Will kips up and knees him. Will facekicks him. Mox shoulders him over then Will side headlock takeovers him. They stand off.

Will handspring corkscrew kicks him. Will hits forearms then springboard forearms him for 2. Will hits chops on Mox and drops him. Will standing corkscrew moonsaults him for 2.

They trade shots. Will trips him and Mox goes for an armbar/triangle. Mox grounded chokes him. Will superkicks him. Mox sleeper suplexes him and then gotch style piledrivers him for 2. Will hits forearms on Mox and Mox lariats him.

Marina Shafir trips Will. Yuta tries to get in the ring and Mike Bailey stops him. Will high kicks Mox. Will then facekicks the ref off the apron by accident. Yuta springboard triangle moonsaults outside. Mike pushes Shafir down outside. Pac hits Mike with a briefcase. Andrade El Idolo trips Pac and Idolo spinning back elbows Pac outside.

Mox hits a double arm ddt on Will, Will no sells it and hits a hidden blade on him. Shafir then hits Will with the briefcase. Mox gets a 2 count on Will. Shafir then kicks the ref in the head. Alex Windsor comes out and fights Shafir. Jamie Hayter then comes in and hits Shafir from behind. The Brawling Birds pose, Yuta goes after them and gets headbutted by both. Jamie then top rope plancha's multiple people outside. The girls then fight outside.

Mox curbstomps Will on the briefcase. Mox hits Will in the head with the briefcase. Another ref comes down and Mox gets a 2 count on Will. Mox double arm ddt's Will twice. Mox hits a death rider ddt. Mox bulldog chokes Will. Will bites Mox's arm. Will hidden blade's him. Will hits a stormbreaker on Mox for 2. Will hidden blades him and pins him.

Thoughts: I wasn't that into this one going in and I didn't think it was that good. I didn't like the story going into this and it's a long extension of the problems The BCC and now The Death Riders have run into. Some days they are faces, some days they are cold-blooded killers and that makes it hard for storyline building. Mox and Will should hate each other, but they treat each other as respect rivals and whatever you end up getting when they interact just seems to be a coin toss depending on the day. We had a bunch of random interference here which will surely lead to Blood and Guts too that didn't help this. I thought this was below average.

Mox takes Will's belt away from him after. Mox then puts the belt on him.

Overall thoughts: It was the usual very long AEW PPV. If you watched the pre-show, you were here for 5.5 hours. AEW hardcores might not mind but for people who aren't as into AEW, it's an endurance contest. I didn't like Idolo/Pac. Darby's tag match ended via due to a doctor's stoppage. Persphone/Luna didn't work. Okada/Ciampa was alright. The Women's tag match was something different and it was also alright. I thought the AEW Trios Title match was the match of the night. Willow/Thekla was average. The ladder match was your usual ladder match. Mox/Will was below average.

As always, AEW tries to put on a good PPV and give you your money's worth. There were a lot of people missing here (MJF, Omega, Takeshita, Gabe, Jericho, The Hurt Syndicate, The Demand, The Conglomeration and Mistico). There were rumors were that Ilja Dragunov might appear here, but it didn't happen. I thought it was a weaker show overall though. I'd give it a 4 out of 10 as for how much I enjoyed it but I'd say effort wise, it was a 5 or 6 out of 10. It was just not a strong night in the ring and the hot stories weren't there. I thought it was below average. AEW's running more PPV's now and that means weaker PPV's as wrestlers have to work more so they take it easier and creative has to set up for more shows so you don't see all the best stuff all in one night.

AEW All In 2026 8/30/2026

AEW All In 2026 8/30/2026

Note - This ran against AAA Ola de Calor and NXT Heatwave 2026.

We are in London, England at Wembley Stadium. Excliabur, Tony Schiavone and Bryan Danielson are on commentary. Don Callis, Nigel McGuiness and Tazz also come on to do commentary at various points in time.

 Pre-show/Main show:

AEW World Trios Titles - Trios Royale Roulette

This had whole trios come in at once every few minutes but members could be individually eliminated. The big spot here was Roderick Strong doing a backbreaker to his wife, Marina Shafir. This saw The Demand and The Dogs team up against the faces for most of this. This then cut into the main show and finished on there. Everyone kind of got up and restarted when it cut to the main show. The surprise team was Swerve Strickland and The New Level (WWE's New Day, who are now going under the names Austin Creed and Kofi). Kofi did his usual battle royal spot where he managed to avoid having his feet touch the floor. The New Level and Swerve won as expected.

This was incredibly boring. It went on forever and was slow. There was tons of downtime where little happened and it was all pretty much built around waiting for The New Level to arrive (everyone assumed they were debuting here). This wasn't that exciting as we kept cutting away to the next team who would enter and there was a lot of people laying around while they waited for their turn to do various spots. And because there were so many people in the ring, there wasn't a lot of room to work nor the ability to get any great stories going.  The AEW Trios Titles also changed hands yet again here and those titles have changed hands too many times this year.

AEW Women's Tag Titles - Divine Dominion (Megan Bayne and Lena Kross) (c) vs. The Brawling Birds (Alex Windsor and Jamie Hayter)

The girls all shove each other. Alex is thrown out. Meg boots Jamie and shoulders her over. Meg takes a double shoulderblock then a double lariat over the top. Lena is pulled out. Alex top rope plancha's Meg. Meg facekicks Jamie.

Lena suplexes Alex on the floor. Jamie is rammed into the rails. Meg spears Jamie and foot chokes her. Meg corner splashes Jamie then double underhook suplexes her. Lena sliding lariats Jamie from behind. Lena sliding germans Jamie and Meg gets a 2 count off of it. Jamie hits forearms on Meg and Meg knees her in the gut.

Jamie takes a double boot then she lariats Meg and Lena down. Alex hits shots on Lena then running lariats her. Meg is trapped in the ropes and takes chops. Lena superkicks Alex then Alex dropkicks Meg off the apron. Alex blue thunders Lena for 2.

Lena hits shots on Alex in the corner. Meg germans Alex for 2. Meg is dropped gut first onto the ropes and takes a double AA for 2. The girls all hit shots on each other. Alex and Jamie hit stereo germans. The germans are no sold and The Birds get hit with germans. The Birds no sell germans then hit stereo lariats.

Alex hits chops on Meg and Meg flying lariats her. Meg sits up top and is headbutted. Meg is double superplexed. Jamie AA's Meg and low flying knees her for 2. Meg double germans her opponents. Jamie does a double ddt off a double chokeslam attempt. The heels no sell it. Jamie takes a claymore kick + german for 2. Jamie is double chokeslammed for 2.

Alex backdrops Meg on the apron. Jamie uranage backbreakers Lena. Lena takes a sandwich lariat then a hart attack. Lena is double pinned.

Thoughts: It was basically a tornado tag match here. There were 3-4 people in this one all throughout. I didn't like some of the no selling here. The crowd also didn't save it. I figured The Birds would win since they are at home. It was a little above average.

AEW Continental Cup Final/AEW Continental Title - Jon Moxley (c) vs. Nigel McGuinness

Mox walks past The Death Riders as he enters, slaps their hands and lets Shafir slap him. There's two fans who follow him as he walks through the crowd and kind of makes his entrance with him.

Nigel full nelson's him and is put in a hammerlock. They trade some basic holds and Mox stomps his foot. Nigel hits forearms and euros him down. Mox leg kicks him. Nigel kicks him in the back and lariats him down. Nigel works his arm and eye rakes him.

Nigel ties his arms up and leans back on them. They trade chops. Mox basement dropkicks Nigel in the knee. Mox boots Nigel in the leg and hits mounted corner punches. Mox dropkicks him in the knee while his leg is tied up on the ropes. Mox elbow drops his legs. Mox takes the tape off of Nigel's shoe. Nigel then wraps the tape around Mox's face.

Nigel arm whips him down then takes him down by the arm. Mox hits running corner lariats. Nigel bridging cutters him for 2. Mox crossfaces him. Nigel rolls out and reverses it.

Nigel tries a rebound lariat and is cuttered. Mox stomps Nigel's ankle. They butt heads and trade forearms. Mox facekicks him and takes a rebound lariat. Nigel lariats him down. Mox tries a rebound lariat and is lariated down for 2. Mox bulldog chokes him. Nigel squeezes Mox's arm with his chin, breaks the hold and does the london dungeon.

Mox rolls into an armbar then does an ankle lock. Nigel rolls him up for 2. Nigel blocks a sunset flip and gets a 2 count on him. Nigel slap flurries him and Mox trips him into an ankle lock. Mox curbstomps him then ankle locks him. Nigel can't reach the ropes and taps out.

Thoughts: This was more of a gift to Nigel than a match that needed to happen. Nigel shouldn't have won here and thankfully didn't. It was fine. Mox worked the ankle a little and eventually won with an ankle lock. I didn't think it was either guy's best work though and it was a tame bout by Mox's standards.

AEW International Title - Kyle Fletcher (c) vs. Konosuke Takeshita vs. Kazuchika Okada

Kyle drops KO to start and KT is shocked. KT and Kyle trade forearms. KT facekicks him and flying lariats him. They trade shots on the ropes. Kyle facekicks him. KT goes to springboard, KO stops him and euros him. KO sweeps Kyle on the apron then bridging ddt's him on the floor while ddt'ing KT on the floor.

KO does a rare tope con hilo outside. KO euros KT down. KT hits mongolian chops on him. KO over the back neckbreakers him over the knee. KO slams KTKO top rope elbow drops him. KO flips off the crowd, Kyle flips him off and then suplexes him. KT is then suplexed. Kyle lawn darts KO into the buckles. KT poisonrana's Kyle. Kyle michinoku drivers KT for 2.

Kyle corner facekicks KT. KO suplexes Kyle then KT rainmakers KO. Kyle falcon arrows KT and all 3 men are down. KO Grabs a screwdriver and laughs. Kyle sees it. KO offers Kyle the screwdriver. Thoughts: I liked it. Outside of one spot, they didn't overdo it too much here, but man was the 2nd rope ddt nasty looking. It had some fun stories going on with the issues between the three guys and it made for an interesting bout. It was good.

Don celebrates with Okada after. Kyle grabs the title from Okada. Don tries to play peacemaker. Kyle gives Okada the title. Okada tells Kyle to raise his hand. Don says he will do it with him and Kyle raises Okada's hand while Okada does a goofy smile.

MJF tries ah old on Nick and says it's on him. They shake hands and MJF low blows Nick. MJF heatseeker piledrivers Nick over the 2nd rope. Idolo spinning back elbows MJF out and pins Nick.

Thoughts: It was alright. Thankfully, Jack did not win this. They didn't overdo it too much and they had some fun moments and some nice highspots. It wasn't great or anything but it didn't go too long or get boring like the opener.

Thoughts: The selling of the leg could have been a little better here. There were a ton of spears in this and The Bucks didn't get to go too wild here. It was acceptable but wasn't quite the dream match it was hyped up to be. I'm not sure where The Bucks go after this loss.

The Motor City Machine Guns come out after. The Guns get in the ring and talk to Cope and Cage. FTR and Stokeley Hathaway then come out, making their return after some time off. The New Level then come out.

KK is put on a stretcher and DA coffin drops him off the stage. DA then pins KK.

Thoughts: It was fun. We had a couple of wild Darby spots as usual and tons of shenanigans here. I'm not sure the result was the right call though as Darby doesn't need the title and they were trying to do something with Kevin as champ. I'm curious what this means for both. Darby really jumped high off the lightning rig and crashed hard.

Thoughts: It would have been nice if MM did a hand/wrist submission on Willow to win since she worked it and since it was injured. Mone won as expected here. Willow's reign was a surprise to begin with and we know how much Mone loves holding titles. They both put out a good effort here. Willow did some moonsaults and Mone got bloody here. It got a lot of time to play out as well. I wasn't high on this as a semi-main, but we got enough to justify it. The match was alright.

Thoughts: They did too much here. Will took tiger driver's, 2nd rope germans, dragon suplexes on the apron, OWA's and then they started kicked out at 1 on dangerous moves by the end of it. They just went too far in the end. They did have somewhat of a story going with Will's injured neck being worked on but stuff like cravates was traded for much more dangerous maneuvers. I would have been fine with this if they cut out the last 10 minutes or so though. The last 10 minutes were just terrible with them going with all of their worst instincts. It had some positives to it but it just wasn't that good by the end. Will won as expected here as that was really the only outcome this could have had.

Will gets fireworks after and holds up the title.

Overall thoughts: I appreciated this one not going too far over 4 hours and being on in the afternoon. It makes for a much better experience when I don't have to fight off sleep and fatigue.

The opener was terrible. That trios gauntlet went on forever, it was slow and it is honestly my pick at this point for worst match of the year. The Women's Tag Title match was average. Mox/Nigel was fine. I liked the International Title 3-way the best on the show and it's rare when a Kyle Fletcher match wins match of the night with me. That was good. The casino gauntlet was fine. The Young Bucks' match was acceptable. Darby/Kevin was fun. Willow/Mone was okay and had potential to be great if they had followed up on Willow's arm more. The main just got too indy by the end for me with them kicking out of the most dangerous moves as possible.

Everything got a lot of time to play out as usual. Outside of the main and Darby's match, the stunts were limited. AEW does seem to have wisened up some and the wrestlers seem to be working smarter. The show wasn't real strong storyline wise, but they gave a strong effort wrestling wise as usual and with the roster being so much better than it used to be, it works. I'd give it an 8 out of 10 overall and it was good overall. I may not always love what AEW gives us on PPV, but they are going to give you your money's worth and they will do you right.

Mike superkicks Mort then spin kicks him in the face. Mort is put on a ladder on the 2nd rope. Mike hits him with ultimate weapon there. Mike climbs the ladder and gets the contract to win.

Thoughts: It wasn't quite as wild as I expected and was definitely a little slower than the matches these guys normally would have. I'd honestly make the argument that this was safer then the matches they have weekly. It was your usual ladder match with everything being built around the big spots with lots of people laying around while 2 people did something. It was alright enough for what it was but it was nothing memorable. I assumed Mike or Jack would win here and I'm glad it wasn't Jack.

Mox goes for a chairshot and Will stops him. Will has a chair superkicked into him. Mox takes a bte trigger. Mox no sells it and takes more superkicks and a double superkick. Mox is then pinned.

Thoughts: I didn't like it. This was all about Nick supposedly having a concussion yet being able to wrestle for another 15 minutes. Will pussed out here and refused to finish Nick, which eventually cost his team the match. Nick took a piledriver on the floor and it meant nothing. This wasn't one of the worst Buck's matches at least but it wasn't that good.

Thoughts: It was the usual Kyle match where he does every move he knows and where they kick out of everything. It was very indy as always, it went too long and wasn't that good. Band lost as expected, despite being the current ROH champ. I believe he's the third ROH champ to lose this weekend alone.

Chain Match - Bang Bang Gang (Jay White and Juice Robinson) vs. The Dogs (David Finlay and Clark Connors)

Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia come out and beat up Jay on the floor. The other member of The Bang Bang Gang beat up Garcia and Yuta. Marina Shafir gives DF a shillelagh. DF hits Juice with the shillelagh and pins him.

Thoughts: It was disappointing. This desperately needed blood and got none, then we had a lame finish with The Death Riders interfering. It just never got so super exciting and the crowd was dead for it. Like I said earlier with the ladder match, these guys beat up each other worse on an average TV ep. I thought it was average.

Will Ospreay is interviewed. He says Nick Jackson has a history of head trauma and he doesn't with to aggravate it. Jon Moxley comes in. Will says he wasn't trying to kill anyone or blow their brains out. Mox mocks Nick and says welcome to pro wrestling. Mox says it's not about the match and says Wembley is not another match. Mox says Will has one chance to catch the wave and tells him to open his eyes. Mox says there's no friends at the top. Mox says he doesn't want to be there when he learn this lesson the hard way. Shids runs at her, Maya does a fallaway slam with a bridge and pins her.

Thoughts: Big upset here with Maya winning. Maya took most of the offense here and this was a bit one-sided. Maya just mostly sold. Someone in management really likes Maya and I'm just not really seeing it so far. There's so many girls who are at around the same level or better. I thought this was average.

The Demand do a promo. They congratulate The Conglomeration on their pre-show fluke win. Ric says they got lucky and says to enjoy it while they still can. Ric says they demand a trios title opportunity. They then do their lines about demands and Ric does his laugh.

Taz is now on commentary in Nigel's place.

Thoughts: It was another one-sided match here with the faces not getting that much in before winning. The faces did win as expected though. It was acceptable but not super exciting and the result was never in doubt.

The Young Bucks come out. Cope and Cage hold the titles up and we see on the tron that these two teams are facing each other at All In.

Thoughts: We couldn't see the finish here as TC's hands were in the way. It was mostly all hardcore wrestling. They could have done a little less here but it was alright. They had some pretty wild spot here with mirrors, barbed wire and thumbtacks.

Mick Foley talks to Divine Dominion in the back. They ask him if he has seen 2 girls more dominant than them. Mick says "Maybe The Crush Gals". They then ask more questions and Mick doesn't quite give the answers they want. Meg says why aren't there 2 women left to face them. Mick says they haven't beaten The Brawling Birds. Lena asks if they stand a chance in hell and Mick says maybe. Meg then tells Mick to bow down like a dog and Mick makes dog sounds in an embarrassing promo.

Thoughts: It was long and just average. The crowd didn't get into it and it dragged some. It's just hard for matches like these to compete with others when they don't get to do all the wild spots and weapons. It also doesn't help that it took place during the 4th of wrestling here when the crowd was getting tired. Idolo won as expected as he's currently being pushed hard.

Mike Bailey is interviewed. He congratulates Andrade. He says he had the best night of his life and said he lived the dream tonight. He says he will call his title shot for AEW Grand Slam in Arena Mexico for Kyle Fletcher's International Title.

Willow misses a top rope moonsault. Willow gutwrench powerbmbs her for 2 when Skye Blue puts Thek's legs on the ropes. Willow powerbombs Skye on the floor. Thek spears Willow and Willow backslides her. Willow pins her.

Thoughts: I don't agree with Willow winning the title here. It just wasn't built up enough and you can only do the "winning the title for the first time" storyline once. It seems all for naught too since Mone is likely winning the title at All In. It got a lot of time and more than it needed. It was acceptable but they really didn't go all out here and it wasn't their best effort. These kind of title changes seem to be the latest craze in AEW as Darby, Kenny and now Willow won belts when they shouldn't have.

The Conglomeration celebrate with Willow after. OC then gives Willow a bookbag to put her title in.

KO gets his knees up on KK's top rope splash. KO flying pumping knees him. KO hits an OWA and wins.

Thoughts: Omega won as expected here. This followed the theme for the night - longer, slower matches where they don't really go all out. I thought it was acceptable but nothing too great. It wasn't their best effort or even close to it, but they also didn't go too wild and do stupid stuff.

The Death Riders attack Kenny Omega after. The Young Bucks come out to try and help and get beaten up. The Bucks get dumped over the timekeeper's rail. They go to stomp a chair into Kenny's neck. Will stops them. Yuta hugs Will. Will stomps Claudio from stomping the chair into Kenny's neck. Will then swings the chair at The Death Riders to back them off.

Mox gets in the ring and talks to Will. Mox throws the chair out. Mox then grabs a plastic bag. Mox tells Will to put it on Kenny's head. Will rips up the bag. Will forearms Mox down. Shafir goes after Will and gets thrown out. Will sends the other Death Riders out and hidden blades Pac.

The Death Riders leave. Will picks up the AEW Title and Kenny picks up the plastic bag. Will gives Kenny the title. Kenny offers a handshake. Will doesn't let go quickly. They pose on the buckles. Kenny then grabs Will and hits a one winged angel. The Bucks come out and talk to Kenny. The Bucks and Kenny then pose.

Thoughts: Well, that was a disappointing end to The Death Riders and Will Ospreay storyline. You'd think they would have done all this at the big show, but nope. It was an odd storyline, much like MJF/Jeff Jarrett and MJF/The Hurt Business. It didn't help anyone and didn't accomplish a lot in the end.

Overall thoughts: It was your usual long AEW PPV. If you stayed up for this one, you stayed up until about 11:53PM, which is brutal on a non-holiday Sunday night. I'm glad I was not one of the ones who did that. As I mentioned earlier, it was very clear that these guys were either told to tone it down or decided to themselves. And that's because the actual big show happens next month at All In, plus they have the Arena Mexico show to do as well. The show had a weak build and it didn't really have half the stunts that a normal Dynamite has. Regardless of what AEW claims, I do not think this was planned that far in advance and I think someone just wanted a payday. There were a also a lot of names missing here or not wrestling like Swerve, MJF, Takeshita, Okada, Adam Page, Brody King, The Hurt Syndicate, Darby, FTR, Mark Briscoe and Mone. None of the new WWE releases like The New Day or The Motor City Machine Guns showed up.

The ladder match was alright. I didn't like The Death Riders vs The Bucks nor did I like Fletcher/Bandido. The chain match disappointed and was not the brutal affair it should have been. Shida/Maya was average. The tag title match was acceptable. Jericho/Ciampa was alright. Idolo/Davis was average. Thek/Willow was acceptable as was the main. I'd say Jericho/Ciampa was the best match here.

I'd give this a 5 out of 10. It was an average, toned down night for AEW and it wasn't their best work. This PPV didn't really need to happen.

Thoughts: LOL at that result. MD and Mist are off to a hot start to their ROH Tag Title reign by immediately losing 2 days after winning the titles. It was a spotfest as expected with lots of action at a fast pace and little meaning anything. They got a little too cute with the superkicks here for me.

Kenny Omega vs. Zack Sabre Jr.

They lock up and wrestle on the mat. Zack gets a pin attempt in. They test strength. Zack euros him down then twists KO's neck with his feet. Zack dropkicks him in the back of the neck. KO boots him out of the corner and hurricanrana's him. KO slingshot plancha's him outside.

Thoughts: Kenny won as expected here. It got a lot of time and was a slower paced match. It was one of Kenny's less offensive bouts as he didn't overdo it too much. I didn't think this was anything great though. Zack was a little more disciplined than usual in working the arm here. It was acceptable.

Thoughts: I wasn't a big fan of it. It was a slower bout and not super exciting. I didn't believe Band was winning and he didn't. Band also lost here as the ROH champ which sucks. I thought this was just average.

Pac poisonrana's him then superkicks him. Shota lariats him for 2. Shota double underhook ddt's him then fisherman busters him for the win.

Thoughts: I was surprised to see Shota win here. I don't think the table spot really fit in here and the finishing stretch could have been a little better.. I would have liked to have seen them wrestle a bit faster at times. It wasn't bad but that table spot really should have taken Shota out.

Mox gets in the ring and stares at Shota after. Hiorshi Tanahashi comes out and Mox backs off. Tana puts the belt around Shota's waist and raises his hand.

Thoughts: The AEW Women's Title was on the line so Kid had no real chance of winning this. I thought it was average. It got a lot more time than it needed and was another slower match. Kid did her usual match with some flying and a little leg work. Thek hit her spears and stomps. The Thekla vs Okada feud is really not as interesting as AEW makes it out to be. The tombstone on the apron should have meant more here.

Triangle of Madness comes down after and gives Thek scissors. Thek cuts Kid's mask and takes it off. Thek spits in it and hits Okada's face with it.

Darby climbs the cage and Jake apron and cage powerbombs him. Okada sends Rod into the cage then Kev does as well. A table is set up and Mark's head is banged off of it.

The Family has their own table on it with a Don/MJF photo. MJF and Idolo try to one up each other and fight. Rod hits the heels with a hockey equipment bag. KOR has an original Nintendo and hits Okada with a controller. Fletcher is clotheslined with a controller. KOR hits Fletcher with the Nintendo.

Idolo and Jake argue. Jake shoves him and Idolo kicks him in the crotch. Idolo then reveals a "f*ck Don, f*ck MJF" shirt". Mark jay drillers Jake and pins him.

Thoughts: This is what AEW is. We had comedy here when it didn't always fit. We had some ridiculous stuff like exploding back packs. We had random teams. We had logic issues with Idolo going through a whole cage match just to screw MJF (when he could have done it at the start and skipped all this), blood and lots of big spots. It was entertaining and had a lot of different things. But if you were hoping for a big serious cage match, this wasn't quite it. They didn't get too wild here and this was much more toned down than other AEW bouts.

We get a Willow video where she talks about needing to light her match again.

Mark Briscoe is interviewed. He says MJF has no friends and says MJF's title is about to be his. He says he wants his title match on Dynamite and says it's his time.

Thoughts: Will won as expected here. There was just no way he was losing since All In is coming up in Wembley. It got like close to 40 minutes. It had a slower pace to it. They didn't sell as much as they should in the end stretch of this, but I think they built up the match enough for it not to be a huge problem. It was a watchable match, they bled and tried to make it feel big without going too crazy and they kept it interesting. I would say it was a good match overall.

Will stares down Swerve after. The Death Riders celebrate. Will holds the Owen Hart Cup up and The Death Riders put Will on their shoulders as fireworks shoots off. Will then kisses his wife outside.

Overall thoughts: It was the usual very long AEW PPV. There was no reason for this to go 5 hours. And doing it on a Sunday night at 8PM is just plain mean when most people have to go to work or school the next day. The Forbidden Door concept is pretty much done. AEW took NJPW's best talent and everything people wanted to see has been done already. I'd say the main event was the best match of the night. Mostly everything hovered around just average to okay here as a lot of the matches went too long and were too slow. A lot of regulars were missing from here like Ricochet, Eddie Kingston, Jericho, The Hurt Syndicate and FTR even though all are seemingly available and most of the matches had limited storylines involved. I'd give it a lower 6 out of 10 and say it was okay overall.
