RS pushes Star down. Star escapes a waistlock and sweeps him. RS sweeps him. Star sits on his back then dropkicks him. Star upkicks Brad. Star 2nd rope spinning headscissors Brad. Star takes a hard forearm from RS then RS stomps him.

Brad euros Star and hits forearms to the back of his neck in the corner. RS takes a springboard tornillo from Mini. Mini hits forearms then cartwheels over him. Mini flying headscissors him out. Brad takes a spin kick. Mini flips off of Star into a ssp on Brad. Mini's team does handsprings, backflips and they pose.

Mini dropkicks Brad through the ropes. Mini runs into Myka Lockwood outside then Brad nails Mini from behind. RS throws Star down on the apron. The heels pose.

We go to PiP break and return. Brad and RS are pushed into each other. Mini standing spanish flies Brad. Star comes in and hits kicks on Brad. Star flips over RS and double pele kicks the heels. Star standing shiranui's RS then standing corkscrew moonsaults him.

Brad stomps Star. Brad knees Star in the gut. Star hurricanrana's him off a release suplex attempt. Star high kicks Brad. Star botches a suplex on Brad. Mini does a botched variation of a phoenix 630 on Brad for 2...but it kind of works, just it looks weird. Brad knees Mini in the face. Mini is popped up and flying headscissors Brad.

Mini tornillo's Drake outside. Star top rope ssp's RS on the knee. Star takes a reverse ddt + top rope double stomp and is pinned.

Thoughts: I liked it and it was okay as expected. The heels did their thing, the faces flew and they kept up a good pace. RS seemed to hurt his knee here after Star top rope ssp'd it on accident. Mini botched a 630 phoenix splash, but he turned it into a new move in the process.

He  tells him to take care of Angels and he will worry about Borne/Tony instead. He says Shugars wouldn't know anything about them fighting for the NXT Title.

Kali Armstrong talks to Mr. Stone. She complains about what happened in the battle royal last week. He says Kali will face La Catalina for the AAA Reina de Reinas Title tonight. Kali says he better tell her to get ready tonight.

Thoughts
: Like most of Shugars' matches, it just didn't click. In this one, they just didn't have a lot of exciting offense and it was a strike heavy match without impressive strikes. Angels isn't exactly the most exciting guy either and that didn't help Shugars here. It wasn't that good. I don't know how many more of these chances Shugars is going to get if things keep going this way.

Tony D'Angelo talks about Myles Borne's new attitude. He says Borne wants to go where he lives. He says Borne won't get the job done tonight. He says he got where he was with results. He says Borne hit him in the face with quarters while he would have knocked him out with a crowbar. Tony says he decides who walks and takes a swim. He says he is the master of fate in NXT and says Borne's fate is in his hands. He says he will decide Waller's fate at Halloween Havoc.

The Culling of Izzi Dame and Niko Vance talk. Dame says everyone sees Zaria as an untouchable woman. She says she wonders how much effort it must take Zar to keep things together. She says Zaria being broken doesn't make her special, but it does make her interesting. Dame says Zaria is hiding something. She says she's trying to convince people she's dangerous and is hiding behind the title. She says the title lets her get close to Zaria. She says she wants to know who Zar is under the facepaint and will find out.

Wren Sinclair comes out. She says she's the #1 contender for the NXT Women's Title. She says she would have laughed if they told her that a year ago. She says she talked herself out of a lot of things but took a risk last week. She says she put herself out there and was scared. She says when she took the mask off, she knew she didn't have to back down anymore.

She says she lost her title and watched her friend lose hers. She says it made her realize how fast things can be taken away. She says Kendal Grey always believed in her and she needs to step up.

Kelani Jordan comes out. She says people are too comfortable thinking they can bend the rules and get away with it. She says Wren was suspended so the win doesn't count last week. She says she doesn't think so about her being the #1 contender to her title. She says she didn't earn the chance, she manipulated the situation and committed identity theft. She says she refuses to face her at Halloween Havoc and will face anyone but not her.

Sh tells her to keep being Kendal's sidekick. She says she didn't have the guts to step into the battle royal by herself and couldn't get the people to love her for who she is. Mr. Stone comes out. Stone says Wren's suspension is lifted. He says Kelani made good points though. Stone says it's hard to skip that Wren won the battle royal and says he will leave it up to the people. He asks the fans if Wren deserves a shot. The fans support it and Stone sets up Kelani vs Wren for the title at Halloween Havoc. Kelani tries to hit Wren with the title, misses and Wren tries to hit her with it. KJ ducks down and Wren throws the title at her.

Lizzy Rain talks to Cruz Montana. Cruz tells her to light the fire inside of her. Cruz gets a phone call and talks to his mom on the phone. Dion Lennox then nails Cruz from behind and hits shots on him. Cruz's head is banged off a box. Dion then calls the person back that Cruz was talking to. Dion tells Cruz's mom that he will whip Cruz's @ss and sends him back to the dark place he came from.

AAA Reina de Reina's Title - La Catalina (c) vs Kali Armstrong

Kali side headlocks her then shoulders her over. Kali hammerlocks her. Cat flying snapmares her and dances. Cat rolls her and gets a 2 count on her. Cat low dropkicks her. Kali hits corner spears.

Cat flying headscissors her. Cat facekicks her onto the apron and hip attacks her there. Cat is caught coming off the apron and Kali slams her on the floor. Kat pulls up a floor mat. Cat sends Kali into and over the steps. Cat la silla's her off the steps.

We go to PiP break and return. Cat sunset flips her for 2. Cat armdrags her. Cat top rope dropkicks her. Cat trips her and basement dropkicks her. Cat hits lariats and corner hip attacks her. Cat gori bombs her for 2. Kali hits punches and standing blue thunders her for 2.

Cat cradles her for 2. Cat hip attacks her on the 2nd rope. Kali powerslams her. Kali runs the ropes and is thrown out onto the exposed floor. Cat low flying knees her and pins her.

Thoughts:
I'm not sure why Kali was sacrificed for this one when they have others with lower potential around. It was the usual Catalina match with her doing various hip attacks and not a lot else. I'm not a big fan of the Catalina super push and just see her as another Stephanie Vaquer type, who is getting pushed way above her skill level. This match was was acceptable.

Borne and Wren talk in the back. Borne says it feels good to stand up for yourself. Wren says what he did was selfish. Kendal Grey walks in and Borne leaves. Grey says she's cleared and says Wren needs to bring the title home.

Smokes says they need to focus on the Dusty Cup but Drake wants to do it.

NF side headlocks Dar. NF asai moonsaults and Dar goes for the ankle lock. NF ropebreaks. NF crossfaces him. NF offers a handshake and Dar walks away. RM and Ax go at it. RM wristlocks him and Ax headflips out. RM headflips out of an armdrag. Ax shoulders him over. Ax pulls RM down. RM offers a handshake and Ax slaps him. Ax stomps him in the corner and corner dropkicks him for 2.

RM is up top and is superplexed. RM takes a superkick + suplex for 2. RM 2nd rope death valley drivers Ax for 2. Ax takes a high/low and is pinned.

Thoughts
: It was the usual match these two teams have where little is sold and they do lots of dangerous moves that mean nothing. I didn't like this at all. Dar and Moreno won in an upset here.

El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr and Galeno are interviewed. Doc says there's pressure. Gal says he's happy to be in the Dusty Classic. Birthright interrupt. King says we have some 3rd gen superstars here. Uriah says he's a 4th gen superstars. Grace says they'd made a good addition to Birthright, but they aren't taking applications. King says to ask Zilla, but he has a broken hand. Gal then says something in Spanish to King. King asks Dempsey what he said but he says it doesn't matter.

MB sends TD into the rails and bangs his head off the apron. TD is sent into the post and steps. MB ushigoroshi's him for 2. TD sends MB into the rails. TD spinebusters him inside for 2. TD backdrops him on the steps.

MB drops him face first on the top rope and angle slams him. TD chokeslams him and pins him even though MB's shoulder is up.

Thoughts
: It was an action heavy match here. Both wrestlers had good looking offense here and it went a little better than I expected. It was definitely one of of Tony's better matches and it was fine. Borne definitely had his shoulder up on the pin attempt so I'm sure we will hear about that next week.

The camera man comes in the ring after and it's Tavion Heights in disguise. Tav hits shots on Borne and belly to belly suplexes him. Tav powerbombs him through the commentary table.

Thoughts: Why did Tavion wait to do this until after the match was over when he could have cost him the match?

Mr. Stone finds a note on his table saying to "Make me the host of Halloween Havoc or you are cursed". We then hear Danhausen laughing and we see lights flicker.

Overall thoughts: I haven't been a big fan of NXT as of late. There's too many failed prospects here and too many people who I don't think will really make it. The opener was the match of the night and it was okay, but it had some sloppy moments. Shugars/Angels wasn't good. Kali/Catalina was acceptable but I don't know why they had Kali lose for no reason. I didn't like Fraxiom's tag as it was an indy style match. The main was fine. I'd give it a 5 out of 10 overall. Lots of wrestlers and angles aren't clicking and the wrestling was hit or miss. There were also a decent amount of people missing from this show. It was average.
