AEW World Tag Team Title Eliminator Match - The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) vs. Davis And Doyle (Jake Doyle & Mark Davis)

Jake bodyblocks a Buck to start and the other Buck is lariated by Mark. Mark chokes a Buck outside and the other Buck is sent into the rails. A Buck is sent into the steps. The Bucks are then thrown into each other. Jake powerbombs a Buck on a table twice, sending him through it.

A Buck takes a double slam. Mark then hits a gutwrench piledriver, then he hits another one. The same Buck then eats a 3rd one. Jake bearhugs the other Buck. Mark and Jake then pick up stereo pins.

Thoughts: Well, I enjoyed seeing The Bucks get destroyed. They don't do these types of bouts often so it was something different and it kind of worked.

Adam Copeland & Will Ospreay vs. Don Callis Family (Kevin Knight & Kyle Fletcher)

Cope and KK go at it. Cope waistlock takedowns him and front facelocks him. Cope shoulders him over then lariats him. KK eye rakes Cope in the corner then boots him. Cope slides out and gives KK the finger. Cope swinging neckbreakers KK inside. 

Will and KF go at it. They shove each other and trade forearms. Will side headlocks him and KF shoulders him over. Will kips up and gets nailed. Will back body drops KF. Will chops KF in the corner then jawbreakers him. Will then standing corkscrew moonsaults him. 

Will jumps off Cope's back with a back elbow on KF. KK is double hiptossed. KF's head is banged off the buckles and Cope hits shots on him in the corner. Will's flying headscissoors is blocked and Will is dropkicked from the electric chair position.

We go to PiP break and return. KF knees Will and Will stunners him. Will enzugiri's KF. Will springboard forearms KK. Cope comes in and lariats KK then flapjacks KF. Cope sky high's KK for 2. 

Cope slides out and takes a superkick from KF. KK springboard lariats Cope for 2. Cope takes a michinoku driver for 2. KK is back body dropped to the outside. Will slingshot plancha's him. Cope headbusters KF. 

Okada comes down and gets on the apron. Will nails Okada. KK jumps off the apron and lariats Will. KF corner facekicks Cope. Cope hits a killswitch on KF. KK springboards and Cope spears him down. Cope misses a spear and goes into Okada's title face first. KF then pins Cope.

Thoughts: They didn't really go all out here and it wasn't too memorable. I thought it was average. Cope got busted open after going into the title.

The faces get beaten up after and get left laying. More Don Callis Family members come down and Will is ganged up on. Will gets hit in the head with a title belt. Darby Allin and Steven Borden finally come out with weapons. The Bucks then come out to help too. Steve gets on the mic. He says he's back for Blood and Guts.  

Swerve Strickland vs Tome Filip

Swerve hits a house call kick before the bell. Swerve boots him then hits shots on him. Swerve then vertebreakers him and pins him. 

Thoughts: It was a quick squash and Swerve won in seconds. It was so fast they even missed a spot. 

Orange Cassidy and Jay White vs The Death Riders (Daniel Garcia and Wheeler Yuta) 

DG waistlocks Jay. Jay shoulders him over. DG boots him and Jay chops him. Jay suplexes him for 1. DG goes for a sharpshooter and is stopped. Yuta waistlock takedowns OC. Yuta pulls on his legs. OC armdrags him and Yuta rolls him up for 2. Yuta's head is banged off the buckles. DG ties up OC in the ring skirt and clubs on him. Yuta then topes Jay outside. We go to PiP break and return.

OC backrolls Yuta up for 2 then topes DG. OC pushes Yuta out with his feet. Jay tags in and he forearms both opponents over. Jay back body drops Yuta then dragon screws DG. 

Jay chops Yuta in the corner and ddt's him for 2. DG takes running corner attacks. Jay is held in the air for a 2nd rope diving lariat/forearm. DG sharpshooters Jay. OC boots DG softly while he has the hold on. 

OC superkicks DG. DG hits a twist and shout on Jay. DG then rocket launchers Yuta off the top right into Jay's knees. OC orange punches DG off of Yuta's back. OC orange punches Yuta and Jay hits a blade runner on Yuta and pins him.

Thoughts: It was average. It didn't get a lot of time and OC had to screw around like always even when Jay was in a sharpshooter. I didn't care for that at all.  

Adam Page, Brody King and Bandido are interviewed. Prince Nana immediately interrupts with Swerve. Swerve says they want their rematch. Page tells him to name the time and place and Swerve says "Full Gear". Swerve says he hanged Page 3 years ago at that event. Page says he loves to live in the past. Swerve says he's living in the future and wants the match to be a texas death match. Page says he won't let them drag his partners into that. Swerve says it's non-negotiable. Page says the man saying that has no leverage and his answer is no.

We see a limo arrive and Nick Wayne comes out of it. Nick looks at a picture of Chris Jericho on a truck and has a shirt that says, "Nick Wayne beat Chris Jericho".

Mercedes Mone comes out for an in-ring interview. Mone says she has a broken nose but it didn't stop her from taking the title and Willow's smile. She says what's dumb is Thekla thought she was on her level when she was just up to her knees. Mone kicks Renee out of the ring. Mone says she's the most dominant and decorated woman in pro wrestling. She says she doesn't chase the spotlight, she is the spotlight. She says she wants to know who is next to face her.

The Death Riders' music hits and Mox and Marina Shafir come out. Marina tells her not to be a p*ssy. Mone leaves before anything ends up happening.

Roderick Strong then comes out for his match.

AEW Continental Title Eliminator Match - Jon Moxley (c) vs Roderick Strong

They grab each other and Mox trips him. RS chops him on the ropes and Mox goes out. Mox and RS chop each other. Mox hits shots to the gut and hammerlocks him. RS dropkicks him after getting his fingers split. RS hits corner spears and a chop. They chop each other then trade forearms. 

Mox dropkicks him in the knee. Mox ankle locks him on the apron. RS backdrops him on the apron. We go to PiP break and return. Mox hits a double arm ddt. Mox dropkicks RS off the apron then he topes him. Mox corner lariats him and hits mounted corner punches.

RS flying lariats him then uranage backbreakers him. RS hits another backbreaker. Mox goes for a choke and RS gutbusters him. RS runs into a lariat and gets flipped. They trade shots. RS jumps and is caught with a cutter. RS low claymore kicks him for 2. RS double underhook powerbombs him. RS then crabs him. Mox escapes, grounded chokes him and RS submits.

Thoughts: It didn't get enough time for what they were doing. It felt like we were still kind of in the first half of this one and then it ended. Mox won as expected here. Mox really held his lower back during this and seemed like he hurt it.

Clark Connors and David Finlay jump RS after. Mox backs them off. The Dogs then jump Mox and pound on him from behind. Mox is choked and hit in the gut. DF grabs a shillelagh and Gabe Kidd breaks it up. DF and Gabe push each other then Clark spears Gabe. RS comes back in and gets beaten up. The Conglomeration and Jay White then save the faces here. Jay then hits a bladerunner on OC. Juice Robinson and Ace Austin then beat up Kyle O'Reilly outside. The Guns then jump on Yuta and Garcia outside. Claudio then jumps on Colten Gunn. Claudio throws DF into Clark. The Bang Bang Gang then jump Claudio. The Dogs eventually join in. Claudio takes a 310 to Yuma from The Gunns. DF hits Claudio with a shillelagh. Jay bladerunners Mox. The Gang and The Dogs then pose together.

Thoughts: The question of whether Gabe was with The Dogs or not needed to be handled at some point and they cleared that one up here. The Gang turning heel was a surprise, but there's only so many factions that can be fought and they've been face for a while.

We get a video on Ilja Dragunov. He says everything came back together and he couldn't be more grateful. He says there's many more symphonies to come. '

We see a bunch of girls fighting in the back. Divine Dominion are beating up The Brawling Birds. Thekla's crew is also joining in and Kris Statlander is hit with a trash can. Thek tells her crew to get out of here when they pick up one of the women's tag titles. 

Nick Wayne comes out to talk. He asks if we heard the news that he beat Chris Jericho...twice. He then shoots off fireworks twice. He says Chris needs to come out and apologize like he had promised if he lost. He thinks Jericho won't come out but then fireworks shoots off and he does.

Jericho comes out. Nick says he's surprised to see CJ here. Nick says he's been thinking about how many different ways CJ will say he's sorry to him. Nick cuts him off immediately. CJ tells him to shut the hell up. CJ says he can't apologize if he won't let him. 

CJ says he told him he doesn't know what he doesn't know but he knows more than he thought. He says Nick has learned some lessons from him and if he hadn't, the WrestleDream outcome will be a lot different. Nick then shoots off fireworks again to mention the win. 

Nick tells him to say he is sorry. CJ says he's sorry. He says he's sorry for underestimating him and not understanding how good he is. He says he has learned and says Nick will look back someday and realize this is the turning point of his career. He says Nick has learned the lessons and listened to people who know more than him. He says if he keeps doing it, he will get to the top of the business like him. CJ says he listened to Ultimo Dragon, Bockwinkle, Shawn Michaels, Steve Austin and others. CJ says Nick will also become a multi-time champ like him if he listens. CJ then says something that is bleeped out. 

The Motor City Machine Guns and FTR will have Match 2 of their series on Collision and Match 3 will be on next week's Dynamite.

AEW TBS Title #1 Contender's Match - Queen Aminata vs Maya World

Persephone and Britt Baker are on commentary for this one. Maya is back from injury.

They lock up. Queen backs her up in the corner. Maya armdrags her off the lock up. Queen side headlocks her and wristlocks her. Maya headflips out. Queen side headlock takeovers her and Maya goes for chocolate kisses. Maya bodyscissors rolls her. 

Queen shoulders her over. Queen rolls her into chocolate kisses. Maya jawbreakers her and euros her. Maya spinning heel kicks her. Maya top rope plancha's her outside. Queen twisting neckbreakers her.

We go to PiP break and return. Queen germans her for 2. They trade shots. Maya double chops her. Maya hits kicks and step up enzugiri's her. Maya running euros her in the corner. Queen chops her down. Maya basement dropkicks her. 

Maya 2nd rope moonsaults her for 2. Queen avoids a 619 and they trade pin attempts. Maya shining wizards her for 2. Queen drops her with a chest forearm. Queen then sends her into the rails. 

Queen puts her in a chair outside and then apron dropkicks her. Queen misses a top rope double stomp. Queen headbutts her and running knees her through the ropes. Queen then pins her.

Thoughts: It was dumb to bring Maya back just to lose here. That makes no sense whatsoever. Both girls did their usual offense. I thought it was average.

Persephone and Britt Baker get in the ring after. Hyan and Maya back up Queen and prevent anything from happening.

The Don Callis Family do a promo. Don says Davis and Doyle destroyed The Young Bucks and says Kyle and Kevin won their match. Kyle says he has an official victory over Will Ospreay. Don says they will bring the guts to Blood and Guts and say to bring the blood. They say they will use the match to soften up the champs in it. Don says when they get done, they will take the belts and take the money that comes with it because they love money. Don asks what is more important than money and Okada says, "Family".

Blood and Guts will be Cope, Steven Borden, The Young Bucks, Darby and Will vs The Don Callis Family. 

The Opps do a promo minus Bowens. Joe says Clockwork Carnage didn't go as he wanted but he did score the first pinfall and choked out Will. He says he'd be champ in other circumstances. He says it made him realize the title belongs to him. Jack Perry walks in. Jack says Joe didn't kick his @ss enough and owes him a handshake. Jack says if Joe won't give him it, he will find a way to take it from him. Jack says he wants another match. Joe says he can't think of another place to lick his wounds than Miami and says he will take care of business soon. Jack then stares down Hook and Action Andretti.

Mike Bailey vs Ilja Dragunov

They lock up. Drag waistlock takedowns him then front facelocks him. Drag backs him up in the corner and misses a chop. Ilja takes him down by the wrist. Mike chinlocks him. Mike hits leg kicks on him.

Mike flying headscissors him down. Mike chest kicks in the corner. Drag boots him then jumping front kicks him in the jaw. They each hit shots and Drag germans him. Drag is sent out and Mike triangle moonsaults him outside. 

Mike tries to kick him against the steps but just kicks the steps. Drag release germans him on the floor.    We go to PiP break and return. Mike chops Drag and Drag headbutts him. Drag hits some punches and Mike spinning roundhouse kicks him down.

Mike facekicks him down and axe kicks on the back of the neck. Mike chest kicks him down. Mike running ssp's him for 2. Mike goes for an armbar. Mike boots his way out of a crab attempt. 

Drag chops Mike down twice. They trade shots. Mike hits chest kicks and Drag enzugiri's him. Drag germans him twice. Drag tiger suplexes him for 2. Drag top rope sentons him for 2. 

Drag chops Mike on the apron. Mike standing moonsault double knee drops him on the apron. They go up on the buckles. Drag hits headbutts to the back of the neck then slaps him on the buckles. Mike slaps back, Drag hits headbutts and Drag top rope superplexes him.

Mike double upkicks him and cradles him for 2. Mike sunset flips him for 2. Mike knees Drag in the face. Drag chops him in the leg. Mike crane kicks him. Mike spin kicks him in the face. Mike is swept on the 2nd rope. Drag powerbomb throws him and hits a h-bomb on him. Drag does some weird motions and hits another h-bomb. Drag pins him.

Thoughts: Drag thankfully won here. It was fine. Mike didn't get to do anything crazy and it was mostly just striking in this one. It was also a safer match than usual from Drag. Drag hit a nasty jumping front kick to the jaw here.

Overall thoughts: In-ring wise it was an average night. People were not trying to get hurt out there and AEW's busy schedule means everyone needs to be available. The main was probably the match of the night though it was far from their best effort. This one was all about building up Blood and Guts and building up Ilja Dragunov's debut. I thought it was an average show overall and I'd give it a 5 out of 10.
