WWE LFG 8/17/2025 Season 2, Episode 8

We see clips of Bubba Ray Dudley walking off last time. He doubles down and said Zena showed more fire than ever before. He says the problem is we expect it from Zena, so she's underrated.

McCool says Bubba refuses to see that anyone else could take the place of Zena. She says he refuses to see that Zena could win this entire thing.

Sirena talks about her match with Bayley. She says she was put in a gorilla press and blacked out, being unable to breathe. She says she has never experienced that before. She says medical cleared her.

Shawn Michaels says Elijah Holyfield is injured. Bubba says we don't know when he's coming back. He says the weight of the world is on Zena and he doesn't know the words for BJ Ray. BJ says it doesn't affect team Bubba as they have BJ.

Shawn says the coaches will have matches to determine who the top man and woman is. They will pick one man and woman each. Booker picks Harlem and Sirena. Bubba picks BJ and Zena. Bubba says BJ is his guy by default. Zena says BJ has so much potential and is the guy people will pay to see get beaten up. McCool picks Penina and Anthony Luke. Taker picks Shiloh and Bayley. Dani says she's the only one on her team that received a unanimous point.

Shawn tells the people who didn't get picked that we are only half way there.

Booker tells Bubba he is getting frustrated with Harlem. Booker wants him to take the slow route. Harlem says he wants to be on top and says he will take the reigns if he thinks he is being slowed down. Booker says he's the general and that Harlem is a solider in the back.

Bubba says this could be conspiracy with Zena but he's worried of her resting on her laurels. He asks who she is supposed to get better with? He says she's too good. Bubba tells her to live to her potential and asks how she gets to the finals in her face. Bubba tells her to really step up her game.

Sirena says she would crawl to the ring if she has to and she fears nothing. She says if anyone doubts what she is capable of, choke on it.

Sirena Linton vs Zena Sterling

SL waistlocks her and is tripped down. Zena armlocks her. Zena rolls her and rolls with her doing a pin attempt. Zena armdrags her into an armlock. SL rolls Zena but Zena rolls with her and keeps the hold on. SL rakes the eyes and short ddt's her for 2.

SL bangs Zena's face off the mat. She tries it again, Zena rolls and rolls her up. SL chinlocks her. Zena hits SL in the gut. Zena hits lariats. SL back elbows her out of the corner then misses a 450 off the top. Zena tilt-a-whirl slams her and wins.

Thoughts: It was short, not in front of a true crowd and they are limited in what they can do so it was only so good. But Zena sold well and did everything she was supposed to before going down. Sirena didn't botch anything here. Bubba complained about Zena going back to working the shoulder.

Zena says she feels pressured but she's grateful to be in this situation as pressure makes diamonds.

Harlem Lewis says he has a lot to prove. He says you have to be able to tell a story and work with anyone. Harlem says getting the points is all that mtters.

BJ says Bubba has no choice but to get around him. He says he got hurt last season too.

Harlem Lewis vs BJ Ray

They lock up and break on the ropes. BJ side headlocks him. Har slams him and we go to break. We return and BJ has a chinlock on. Har rolls him and hits a back elbow. BJ is thrown into the 2nd rope and bounces down. Har stomps on BJ.

They fight outside and Har slams him on the floor. BJ rolls in and is stomped. Har chinlocks BJ. BJ shoulders Har over then bulldogs him. Bubba says there's not enough impact from BJ. BJ elbow drops Har for 2.

BJ cradles Har off a suplex attempt and pins him.

Thoughts: This got clipped and I don't know how much we missed. I do kind of agree that BJ could have hit a little harder and not goofed off as much like the judges want, but I don't think it's a big problem. Harlem did what he was supposed to here though.

Harlem is asked what happened out there. He says he's p!ssed and will talk to Booker about it. He says they aren't on the same page. 

McCool says she's not losing to her husband as she talks to her team. Taker comes in and walks past. Taker tells his team not to f*ck it up. Penina's dad comes in and they call him "Pops Nasty". He says he's happy for her as she came to do a job and is succeeding. Pops says she's here to do a job and cut the BS.

Penina does a promo and says she's ready to be on TV tomorrow.

Penina Tuilaepa vs Bayley Humphrey

This is front of a real crowd. Taker/McCool are on the riser. They lock up and let go. PT pushes her then Bay pushes her back. Bay slams her twice.

Bay misses a corner charge then a charge against the ropes. PT shoulders her out of the ring. PT rams her into the rails and the apron edge.

Bay's head is banged off the buckles. PT clips her then does a cobra twist. Bay hiptosses her. PT ducks a lariat and spears her. PT samoan drops her for 2. PT hits mounted punches in the corner and poses. Bay hits a big last ride and pins her.

Thoughts: This was really good and they got this one right. It was a true heavyweight match with both girls looking big and bad. The crowd chanted "this is awesome" for it as well so I'm not alone.

Bay says there's only room for one top female in LFG. She says she's the face of women's wrestling and she better not forget it.

Shiloh says he has a black eye from being kicked in the face. He talks about it being hard to compete against Taker's wife.

Anthony Luke says he's not doing his job if he doesn't give her the bragging rights. He says Taker is part of the reason he was voted off. He promises intensity and violence.

Shiloh Hill vs Anthony Luke

Hill is hit while he's posing. Luke back elbows him then hits punches in the corner. Hill lariats and shoulders him. Hill back body drops Luke. Luke clubs Hill. Hill backdrops him. Hill hits punches. Hill fires up and shoulders him over. Hill then lariats him. Hill hits a shake, rattle and role and does an inverted flipping senton onto him. Luke rakes Hill's injured eye and hits an ore ga taue to win.

Thoughts: It was short and fine for what it was. Luke never gets a ton of offense in here and this was no different. Hill's got a lot of intensity.

The coaches then award points. McCool votes for Penina. Bubba agrees. Booker gives Sirena a vote and Taker gives Penina a vote. Penina gets a point.

Booker says he will sacrifice a point for Harlem to get better. He says he can ride with him or jerk off and go off on his own. Harlem says it's embarrassing. Booker gives Shiloh his vote. McCool gives Shiloh her vote. Bubba tells Harlem to listen more and says Shiloh gets his vote. Taker gives Shiloh his vote.

Thoughts: I thought Bayley was better than Penina and I would have given her the point. I don't disagree with Shiloh getting the point but I feel like Luke is one of the guys who does the right thing but never gets the glory for some reason.

The coaches standings are:

Team McCool - 5 points
Team Undertaker - 4 points
Team Booker - 3 points
Team Bubba - 2 points

They do not show the individual standings this week, but it should be:

Men:

Elijah and Shiloh - 2 points
Drake, Harlem and Luke - 1 point

Women:

Penina - 4 points
Sirena - 2 points
Dani 1 - point

Shiloh says 4-5 guys could have been winners. He says he wants them to know they made a mistake not letting him be the winner. Luke asks how long he has to go to show people that he's the best here. He says this is his show. Penina says the story writes itself and says she's here to win it all.

Harlem talks to Booker. Harlem says he needed to clear his head and has a history of anger issues. Booker says if Harlem listens, he will kill it every time. He says Harlem thinks he needs to do x-y-z when he doesn't. Booker says Harlem going up to him 1v1 tells him he's an alpha who wants it bad. Booker says he told him he didn't need to think, he needs him to listen. He tells him to trust him to guide him. Harlem says he will win the competition.

We then see some clips of next week's show. Taker wants Dani to be p!ssed and aggressive. BJ says he needs to look like a million bucks vs Trill London and they fight in the back.

Overall thoughts: Sirena and Zena got really limited and there was nothing offensive in their match. Harlem/BJ was clipped. Harlem roughed him up a bit and BJ was almost a bit comical. Penina/Bayley was the standout match with the two having a nice condensed version of a heavyweight match. Hill/Luke was short and Luke didn't get a ton of offense in but it was fine. As usual, there was nothing really must see here but I did like Penina/Bayley. We had a little bit of a break from the scripted drama in recent episodes but there was a lot of it here.
