AEW TNT Title - Kyle Fletcher (c) vs Tomohiro Ishii

Here's a random one.

They butt heads and then they trade forearms for a while.  They shoulder battle and TI lariats him. They miss moves and stand off. Kyle stalls outside. Kyle shoves him and TI hits chops.  

Kyle chops back. TI shoulders him over and hits chops in the corner. Kyle facekicks him then slams him. Kyle slams him and sleepers him. TI backdrops him. Kyle michinoku drivers him. We go to PiP break and return.

TI hits a suplex then hits chops in the corner. TI then running battering rams him. They fight up top. TI superplexes him for 2. Kyle leg lariats him off the apron.

They fight on the apron and TI takes a superkick and enzugiri. Kyle brainbusters him on the apron. Kyle hits a nice top rope elbow drop for 2. Kyle leg lariats him and they both no sell suplexes. Kyle suplexes him and is enzugiri'd.

They trade forearms. Kyle lariats him. Kyle corner facekicks him. TI hits a big running powerbomb then running lariats him for 2. Kyle knees him in the face. Ishii kind of battering rams him for 2. Kyle knees him in the face then powerbombs him for 2. Kyle runs into a running lariat. Kyle corner facekicks him. Kyle brainbusters him for the win.

Thoughts: It was the usual awful Kyle match where he does a million big moves and doesn't sell anything. Ishii's no better with that at times and it was two guys bringing out the worst in each other. Ishii lost as expected.

Kyle gets on the mic after. He says we have just witnessed history. He says it's the first defense in what will go down as the greatest title reign in AEW history. He says Ishii is the latest legend he has mopped the floor with. He says he thinks about what is next. He says he wants NJPW to send it's pound for pound best to face him for the TNT Title at Forbidden Door. He says the result will be the same no matter who he fights. He says everyone will have no choice but to say his full name.

Don Callis does a promo. He tells NJPW to send it's best in Cincinatti for Kyle. He says he will then choke whoever NJPW sends into oblivion.

Nigel McGuinness is returning in a 4-way on Collision next week.

We see clips from earlier of Ricochet and The Gates of Agony beating up random people in the back. Ric says he has all this ammo and says we think he's not about to use it. He says his patience is wearing thin. He says they have no issues to dismantle everything in their path until they get the respect they deserve. He says you will give them what they want or they will take it. The GoA then pendulum drop someone on a box.

Nick Wayne, Kip Sabian and Mother Wayne are interviewed. Kip says everyone wants to know why they conduct business the way they do. Kip says Christian liked them standing up to him but didn't like it when they questioned him. He says everyone is questioning them now. Nick says it's hypocritical Christian Cage. He says all Christian does is spew lies. He says Christian said he had everything to be a star but Nick says he's already a star. He says if you are shocked by what they did to Christian, you haven't seen anything yet. He says his next goal is to end Christian Cage.

Megan Bayne vs Emily Rose

Meg sick kicks her to start. Meg hits a corner splash then a double underhook suplex. Meg 2nd rope diving lariats Rose. Rose backhands her and gets on the 2nd rope. Meg running sitout powerbombs her and wins.

Thoughts: It was all squash here as expected with Meg winning easily.

Bryan Keith and Big Bill are interviewed. BK says Juice p!ssed them off and put his hands on Bill. Bill says Juice knocked them out of the tag tournament. He says he crossed one line then crossed another. Bill says he will rip Juice's head off next time he sees him. He says he's got exactly what's coming to him then does a gun shooting motion.

Juice Robinson vs Ricochet

The Gang has cutouts of Jay White and Colten Gunn at commentary. Austin Gunn is with Juice and Ric is alone. JR shoves Ric in the corner then Ric does the same. JR goes for a punch and Ric slides out. Ric chops down Cardblade.

Ric chops him, covers up and is slapped on the head. JR back body drops him. JR sentons him. Ric's head is banged off the buckles. Ric takes a moonsault bump off of one. JR headbutts him then hits corner mounted punches.

Toa Liona comes out and JR is distracted. Austin wants to fight Toa. Kaun then pulls out JR and slams him on the floor. Ric topes JR. We go to PiP break and return. Ric eye rakes JR and piefaces him. JR spinebusters him. JR hits punches and drops him. JR lariats him from behind then jumping leg lariats him for 2. Ric flips off of him and hits a kneelift. Ric hits combinacion cabron in the corner for 2. Ric backrolls him for 2. JR then hits a big lariat for 2.

Ric pulls JR's throat over the top rope. Ric springboard lariats JR then asai moonsaults him. Ric running ssp's him for 2. 

Ric misses a spirit gun and JR flapjacks him for a close 2. Kaun gets on the apron, Austin pulls him down then Toa hits a massive pounce on Austin sending him over the commentary table. Big Bill comes out and facekicks JR. Ric spirit gun's JR and pins him.

Thoughts: It had a decent bit of shenanigans here but the work wasn't bad. At least Juice didn't lose cleanly and this definitely sets up a Bill/Keith vs Juice/Austin match. Austin getting pounced was the highlight of this one.

We get a package on Athena's ROH stats.  

Max Caster is interviewed. He insists to be called "The Best Wrestler Alive". Lexi says he got a moral victory over Rush. Max says that's Rush, who survived against the best alive. He says Rush didn't beat him. Max thanks Jet Speed and AR Fox for the help last week in fending off the attack from LFI, but says thanks but no thanks. He then says he's going to warm up and does push-up's with his chant in between. He then starts his chant and is over the top with it in a funny segment.

FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) and Stokeley Hathaway vs Ryan Zukko, Joe Keys and Josh Fuller

Joe and Cash go at it. Cash side headlocks him and they shoulder battle. Cash snapmares him and messes with his hair. Cash hits chops and punches on a Ryan. Ryan then hits punches back. Josh comes in and is lariated by Dax.

Cash suplexes Josh then hits elbow drops and legdrops. Stoke tags in. He punches Josh, foot slaps him and hits slaps. Josh grabs him and Stoke tags out immediately. Cash stomps on Josh.

Josh step up enzugiri's Dax when Cash ducks. Ryan takes a shatter machine. Ryan then takes a 3 person spike piledriver and Stoke pins him.

Thoughts: It was all squash here. Stoke's role was funny here. I think Ryan botched something near the end but they didn't show it.

Hechicero vs AR Fox

Hech facekicks him and boots him over. Hech then hits mounted punches. We see Shane Taylor Promotions watching in the back. AR leapfrogs and Hech pulls him down. Hech elbow drops his back then hits punches to the head. AR slingblades him. AR then topes him outside twice then tope con hilos him.

AR tope rope swantons and Hech gets his knees up. Hech swinging hammerlock backbreakers AR. Hech step up knees him in the corner. We go to PiP break and return. 

Hech side headlocks AR. Hech dropkicks him. Hech misses a corner attack then he spinning lariats AR. AR hits lariats. AR kips down, kips up and enzugiri's him. AR flying elbows him in the corner then rolls him into a cutter. AR top rope swantons him for 2.

AR rolling death valley drivers him. AR misses a 450 and lands hard. Hech headscissors drops him. Hech then flips him int oa grounded sleeper and submits him.

Thoughts: I liked it. AR did a bunch of flying here as usual and Hech oddly didn't do as many submissions as usual. It didn't go too long though and it was fine.

We see Harley Cameron with her face wrapped up watching herself get injured. She then finds a mask and acts wild with fake winds. She then screams with the pink mask on.

Queen Aminata, Tay Melo & Willow Nightingale vs. Triangle Of Madness (Julia Hart, Skye Blue & Thekla)

Thek slaps and spin kicks Queen. Queen snapmares her then  bangs Thek's face into her butt. Thek bridges out of a lariat. Queen takes a double forearm in the corner. Queen slaps Thek.

Tay and Hart go at it. Tay arm throws her then kicks her from behind. Willow hits corner lariats. Willow then hits a double suplex. Hart boots Willow off the buckles. Willow catches Skye's top rope crossbody and slams her. Willow camel clutches Skye. Queen and Tay then pull on Skye and pose while she's tied up.

We go to PiP break, full break and return. Willow slams Thek. Skye superkicks Willow. Queen hits a lifting reverse ddt on Skye then Hart STO's Queen. Tay pumping knees Hart. Thel slaps Willow then Willow lariats her. Queen short arm lariats Skye then suplexes her. Queen spinning fisherman's neckbreakers Skye for 2.

Hart is thrown out. Skye superkicks Queen then Queen headbutts her. Tay pumping knees Skye. Tay pump kicks Skye in the corner then htis a ddt. Thek drops Tay with a big shot. Willow pounces Thek. Willow is pulled over the top rope. Tay rolls up Skye for 2.

Tay takes a double team swinging side slam and is pinned.

Thoughts: It was a fast tag match here with lots of quick action. I liked it. Triangle won here as they should have though more of a dominant victory would have helped them.

Skyflight do a promo. Daniels says The Don Callis Family couldn't ruin their debut. Sky says they shot and missed. He says to keep shooting as they ain't going nowhere.

FTR and Stokeley Hathaway talk in the back. Stoke says Adam Copeland saw what he did and turned him into this monster. He says one of his problems will be solved next week. He says he will make Cope his ho. Cash says they can focus on winning the tag tournament after. Dax says the most important thing in his life is the AEW Tag Titles.

Max Caster is in the ring. He says we are looking at the best wrestler alive. He says Rush became the first to survive 5 against him. He says Rush didn't beat him as he can't be better than the best. He says he knows the fans want to chant his name. He says let's see who can last 5 vs the best wrestler alive. 

5 Minute Open Challenge - Max Caster vs Katsuyori Shibata

KS drops Max with a forearm then chops him in the corner. KS kicks him in the chest. KS misses a kick and Max rolls him up for 2. Max running facekicks him. KS hits a forearm flurry in the corner. KS corner dropkicks him then underhook suplexes him. KS sleepers him. KS PK's him and pins him.

Thoughts: It was all squash here. I'm not sure what the purpose of last week was if Max is just going to go back to losing.

KS shakes Max's hand after and raises his arm. Rush and LFI come out and beat up both. Jet Speed then come out and stop it.

Adam Page & JetSpeed (Kevin Knight & Mike Bailey) vs. La Faccion Ingobernable (Dralistico, Rush & The Beast Mortos)

Page side headlocks Mort. Mort reverses it. Mort barely makes a leapfrog then Page facekicks him. Page and Rush stare down. They shove each other and trade forearms.

Rush chops Page. Page fights the heels then is triple stomped on. 4 of the 6 fight outside. Page jawbreakers Rush and Mort is sent into the rail. Page top rope moonsaults Rush outside.

Rush stomps on Page. Dral and Page trade shots. Dral knees him in the gut then Page tilt-a-whirl backbreakers him. Dral takes a double hiptoss, a double gordbuster and a double basement dropkick. 

Mike takes corner attacks from LFI then a triple basement dropkick. Mort twists Mike's head with his feet. Mike facekicks Mort out of the corner. KK comes in. He lariats Dral then jumping lariats him. KK slams Rush. KK dropkicks Rush.

KK hurricanrana's Dral (who is on top) from the mat. KK then springboard double lariats his opponents outside. KK dropkicks Rush. Page is tagged in. He hits shots on Rush then facekicks him. Page springboard lariats Mort on the apron. Page fallway slams Dral then plancha's Mort outside. Page death valley drivers Rush for 2. Rush belly to belly suplexes Page in the corner.

KK hits a springboard lariat then Dral springboard canadian destroyers him. Mike hits a standing moonsault double knee. Mort and Page hit moves then Rush gets a 2 count on Page. Rush backdrops Page. Dral springboard crucifix bombs Page for 2.

Page takes a backcracker from Mort. Mike superkicks Rush. Mort botches a double clothesline. Mort then tornillo topes out. Rush then tope con hilos outside.

Dral springboards and is caught with a sitout powerbomb. Dral corkscrew kicks Page on the apron. Mike and KK hit a double dropkick on Dral. Mike asai moonsaults out onto Mike. KK then top rope crossbodies outside. Page hits a buckshot lariat on Dral and wins.

Thoughts: This went a lot longer than it really needed to. They had 2 finishing stretches which was odd too and made it seem like this was ending when it wouldn't be. There was a ton of flying and little selling here. I didn't like this that much. 

Overall thoughts: It was your usual Collision where the stars weren't around outside of Page. Paul Hauser was on commentary for unknown reasons. The opener and the main were similar indy style matches and not my thing. Juice/Ricochet wasn't bad and Austin Gunn took a wild pounce during it. Hech/AR wasn't bad and the women's trios match wasn't bad either. I'd give it a 5 out of 10 as there was nothing that great here and we didn't get a lot of storyline advancements.
