Satoshi Kojima & Taichi vs. Shoma Kato & YOSHI-HASHI

Kato hits forearms on Tai. Tai facekicks him. Kato gets slammed. Kato running forearms him and slams him. Kato corner forearms Tai then Tai side kicks him. Tai kicks him in the back then kicks him while he's down. Koji stomps on Kato then neckbreakers him for 2.

Kato hits forearms then Koji forearms him down. Koji stomps on him. Koji knocks over Tai on accident then Kato dropkicks Koji. Yoshi comes in and knocks over his opponents. Yoshi headhunters Tai. Yoshi back elbows and ddt's Tai for 2.

Yoshi forearms Tai and takes a spinning chop. Koji shoulders Tai over. Koji hits machine gun chops on Yoshi. Koji corner forearms him. Yoshi chops Koji. Tai corner facekicks Yoshi then Tai lariats Koji on a failed double team.

Kato suplexes Koji for 2. Kato crabs Koji then chops him. Kato misses a dropkick then rolls up Koji. Kato runs at Koji and is lariated. Koji picks up the pin.

Thoughts: It was an alright opener with Tai and Koji not being able to get on the same page and Kato going for the update on Koji.

Tai walks away from Koji's handshake after.

El Phantasmo, Jado, Oleg Boltin & Toru Yano vs. House Of Torture (Ren Narita, SANADA, Yoshinobu Kanemaru & Yujiro Takahashi)

Oleg puts on ELP's glasses before it starts then the heels attack. Yujiro foot chokes ELP. ELP rolls over his back and hits a 2nd rope twisting crossbody. ELP is hit when he goes for an asai moonsault. ELP flying headscissors Ren then makes YK ddt two of his partners.

Yano gets in and takes a 4 person boot. Yano is sent into the exposed buckle. Yujiro headbutt drops him for 2. YK foot chokes Yano in the corner. YK hits knees to Yano's back and elbows him in the mouth. Ren rakes Yano's eyes on the top rope.

Yano hits forearms on Sanada. San falls down and kicks him in the crotch. Yano atomic drops him. Oleg gets in and shoulders over San. Oleg karelin's lifts San and kips up. San boots Olego ut of the corner. San goes for skull end. Oleg hits a double wasteland on San and YK. Ren trips up Oleg then San kicks the middle rope into Oleg's crotch.

Oleg hits a double suplex on Ren and San. Ren takes kciks from ELP and Jado, then he is lariated. Jado goes for a double draping ddt then Ren hits him in the back of the knee with a push-up bar. Ren leglocks Jado and Jado taps out.

Thoughts: It was short and the usual HoT match with various heel shenanigans. It wasn't anything too special. 

Hiroshi Tanahashi, Katsuya Murashima & Yuya Uemura vs. United Empire (Callum Newman, Great-O-Khan & Jakob Austin Young)

Tana and Khan go at it. Khan hammerlocks him then Tana ropebreaks when Khan grabs him. Khan mongolian chops him off the break. Tana back elbows him and 2nd rope twisting crossbodies him. Khan takes a double shoulderblock. Tana flipping sentons Khan then Yuya flipping sentons Khan. KM then does the same thing and Tana's team plays air guitar

KM doesn't stomp and gets tripled teamed from behind. Khan's team gets control and puts all their opponents in various holds together. Jake hits chops on Tana. Tana hits forearms and euros. Jake slingblades Tana for 2.

Jake chops Tana. CN knees Tana in the back and kicks him in the back. Tana hits forearms on CN. Tana blocks a facekick and dragon screws him. 

Yuya is tagged in. Yuya armdrags and dropkicks Jake. He then does the same to Khan. Yuya corner splashes CN then bulldogs him for 2. CN facekicks Yuya, gets double chopped thne superkicks Yuya. Yuya dropkicks CN.

KM is tagged in. He knocks Khan off the apron and hits forearms on CN. CN spin kicks him then KM running shoulders him. KM powerslams CN for 2. KM crabs CN. Khan breaks it up. Khan gets double teamed.

CN flying knees KM and PK's him for 2. CN then top rope double stomps KM and pins him.

Thoughts: It was a short one with everyone getting their section in and not a lot else. CN took a nice bump for KM's shoulderblock and KM was enjoyable as usual. 

Daiki Nagai & Shingo Takagi vs. BULLET CLUB War Dogs (Drilla Moloney & Taiji Ishimori)

Nagai and TI lock up. Nagai chops him and TI side headlocks him. TI grabs him by the hair then side headlock takeovers him. Nagai shoulders him over then is sent out. Nagai is sent into the rails.

TI snapmares Nagai then fist drops him for 2. TI twists his neck with his feet for 2. DM chops and boots Nagai. DM then forearms Nagai down. DM goes for Shingo's made in Japan but Nagai armdrags him then dropkicks him. Shingo gets in. He shoulders over DM.

Shingo corner lariats DM then hits punches. DM back elbows him, hits a punch then a lariat for 2, stealing Shingo's move. DM does Shingo's taunt after and is lariated from behind. Shingo and Nagai hype up then double back elbow DM. Shingo slams Nagai onto DM then Shingo sentons DM for 2.

DM chops Shingo. Shingo lariats him on the ropes and DM spinebusters Shingo. Nagai hits forearms on TI then dropkicks him. Nagai monkey flips TI then running back elbows him. Nagai suplexes TI for 2. Nagai then crabs TI.

Nagai armdrags DM. TI cradles Nagai then Nagai cradles him for 2. TI low blows Nagai then crucifix bombs him into a border city stretch. TI then gets the win.

Thoughts: Shingo and DM tried here. Nagai did the usual young lions stuff. It was what it was and it was your average match here with a young lion. 

House Of Torture (Don Fale, DOUKI & EVIL) vs. TMDK (Hartley Jackson, Ryohei Oiwa & Zack Sabre Jr.)

HoT attacks before it starts. Douki works on Oiwa in the corner. Evil eye rakes Zack outside. Oiwa shoulders over Douki then stomps his arm into the mat. Douki flying snapmares Oiwa but Oiwa hammerlocks him. Douki tries it again but is just dropped.

Douki grabs the ref and Togo trips Oiwa from the outside. Fale stands on Oiwa's back. Oiwa is thrown out then Douki hits Oiwa with a stick out there. Evil tries pins on Oiwa. Evil chops Oiwa then Oiwa dropkicks him. Zack twists Evil's neck with his feet then does it to Douki. Zack triangles Fale over the top rope.

Douki hits euros on Evil. Evil eye rakes Zack. Evil tries to use the ref then rakes Zack's eyes again. Evil corner lariats Zack and fisherman suplexes him for 2. Zack yanks on Evil's arm and facekicks him. Evil running lariats Zack. Zack trips Evil then doesa bridge pin for 2. Zack PK's Evil.

Fale and Hart come in and shoulder battle. Hart knocks him into the corner then corner splashes him. Oiwa hits Fale from behind then Fale takes a double shoulder. Oiwa and Hart then senton Fale for 2. Hart lariats Fale. Togo trips Hart. Douki hits Hart with his stick. Fale elbow drops Hart and wins.

Thoughts: It was full of HoT shenanigans. Hart and Fale going at was the most imteresting part of this one. There were a lot of eye rakes here.

Evil and Zack fight in the stands after and Zack ankle locks him.

G1 Climax 2025 Playoff Match - David Finlay vs. Konosuke Takeshita

They lock up and then trade forearms. DF hits him in the throat then runs into KT's boot. DF pushes KT off the top to the floor. DF headbutts him then spears him into and over the rail. A table is set up. KT facekicks DF over the rail.

KT chinlocks him. KT facekicks him then DF clips him from behind. DF bangs KT's knee off the mat. DF ties up KT's legs then ddt's his leg. DF slams KT, sending his leg into the bottom rope. DF corner back elbows him then throws him on a suplex.

DF single leg crabs KT. KT hits forearms on DF. DF escapes a blue thunder and KT brainbusters him. DF double throat thrusts KT then DF is thrown face first into the buckles. They say he's thrown in shoulder first, so I guess you could say his shoulder hit too. He gets thrown in two more times.

KT top rope sentons and DF gets his knees up. DF uranage backbreakers him. DF hits crossface shots. They fight on the apron. KT hits a big forearm. DF boots him in the gut then powerbombs him off the apron through 2 tables next to each other.

DF bites KT up top. KT headbutts him up top. They get down and Kt is buckle bombed twice.

KT hurricanrana's DF into the buckles and poisonrana's him. KT running knees him for 2. DF hits oblivion on KT then he powerbombs him for 2. KT blocks overkill. DF spinning forearms him. DF dives at him and is hit with a knee. DF cradles him. They fight over a backslide. KT hits a last ride then a pumping knee. KT hits raging fire and wins.

Thoughts: It was the usual DF style match that I'm not a fan of. He dominated KT even though he's a lot smaller and KT had to make his comeback to win. KT worked DF's shoulder for a bit (or so we were told) and DF worked KT's knee, but none of it really meant that much in the end. 

G1 Climax 2025 Playoff Match - Shota Umino vs. Yota Tsuji

They go face to face pre-match. Shota wristlocks him and Yota side headlocks him. Shota hits forearms to the ribs and Yota shoulders him over. Shota shoulders Yota over. Shota hits some shots and hits euros. Shota misses an armdrag then Yota stands on him. 

Yota chops Shota. They trade forearms. Yota flying headscissors him out. Yota then topes him into the rails. They go into the crowd and fight. Yota stomps him on the floor outside.

Yota slams him then splashes him inside of the ring for 2. Yota hits chops and drops Shota's gut onto his own knees. Shota hits forearms then Yota hits him in the gut. Yota boots him then is dropkicked in the knee. Shota hits chops and forearms on Yota. Shota running euros him in the corner. Shota dragon screws Yota.

Shota dropkicks Yota in the knee then stomps on Yota's knee. Shota dragon screws Yota then dropkicks him in the knee. Shota STF's him and Yota ropebreaks. Yota tilt-a-whirl backbreakers Shota.

Shota STF's Yota. Shota is hit with Yota's knees between the ropes. Yota hits a rare 2nd rope moonsault outside onto Shota. Yota chops Shota down multiple times. He then pushes his boot into Shota's face. Yota slaps him. Yota slips on a marlow crash and Shota works the knee. Shota backdrops him then hits a big powerbomb for 2. Yota misses a curb stomp then he headbutts Shota in the chest and drops him.

Yota hits a falcon arrow on Shota for 2. Yota then crabs him. They trade forearms. Yota hits chest chops. Yota then hits a jumping kick. Yota flatliners and germans Shota. Yota then lariats him. Yota hits a marlow crash for 2. Shota germans him. Yota hits a forearm then takes a headbutt and an enzugiri. Shota flying knees him for 2.

Yota does a sloppy pin for 2 and curbstomps him. Yota hits an alley oop and curbstomps him. Shota hits a big lariat then hits a 2nd one for 2. Yota stunners him then Shota hits a dropkick. Yota then spears him for 2.

Yota hits a 2nd rope reverse suplex then spears him for the win.

Thoughts: I didn't like this. Shota worked Yota's knee early. It got completely forgotten about in the second half, making the first half a total waste of time. The last part of this was all about them doing big moves and mostly not even selling them. I'm not that surprised. 

Yota then talks on the mic after.

Overall thoughts: The opener was okay. The Narita 8-man tag was short and had tons of shenanigans. The Khan 6-man was alright and Drilla's match was average. I didn't care for the other HoT tag. Finlay/Takeshita was the usual Finlay match where he dominates despite being 5'9 and maybe 200lbs tops and I don't like that match. The main had them wasting a bunch of time on knee work that meant nothing so they could trade finisher at the end. I'd give this onea 5 out of 10 and thought it was an average show.
