Thoughts: This was oddly a full length match here. It was nice to see Kato get some offense in and be treated somewhat legit. It was fast paced but still rather average.

Thoughts: It was on the shorter end of things and wasn't much of note with the heels cheating to win.

Thoughts: It was another shorter one here. Jado got more offense in than usual but then ended up getting pinned. There wasn't a lot to say about this.

Thoughts: Nagai got some offense in and busted out the sunset flip before going down. I liked Zack's and Shingo's section. This was alright for what it is.
Zack and Shingo have words after.

Thoughts: They didn't get a chance to do a great one here but I liked what we got. They kept a good pace up and the two matched up well together. It was a nice strength vs speed battle. I thought it was fun and would have liked to have seen this go longer.

They collide with lariats. Oiwa lariats an enzugiri down then Tai gamengiri's him. Oiwa no sells it and lariats him for the win.
Thoughts: There was no early part to this match. They just basically jumped right into the lariats and stuff. That brought this down and made all that not mean as much. It was a shorter sprint and not really the longer classic it could have been. There also was not much selling at all here.

Kanemaru comes down and stomps on Yuya. Kanemaru spits whiskey in Yuya's eyes. San hits Yuya in the head with half of a guitar and pins him.
Thoughts: The first part of this looked promising with them doing wrestling. Then Kanemaru came down, Sanada cheated and the ref went down. Sanada then ended up winning and ruined what could have been a good one.

Thoughts: It was exactly what it looked like it would be with ref bumps, tons of interference, weapons use and attacks before the match even started. It was the same stuff we've seen a million times over and wasn't any better this time around.
G1 Climax 2025 Block A Match - Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Yota Tsuji

Thoughts: Both guys did a little leg work here but I don't think it ended up meaning a lot. It didn't get a chance to be an epic and Yota didn't really go into his more lethal offense. I'm not sure about having Tana win this one as Yota winning might have been better. I would have liked a longer finishing stretch and a longer match so that this could have been better. What we got was okay here and it's too bad we didn't get more of it. This was Tana's 100th G1 Climax win.
Tana talks on the mic after and has some blood on his face. Tana plays air guitar then talks more.
Overall thoughts: The opener actually got time and was alright because of it. The Nagai tag match was okay. I liked what we got of Newman/Boltin, Tai/Oiwa and Tana/Yota but none of them got enough time to be anything great. Evil/Finlay was what you would expect and Yuya/Sanada got off to a good start then went into the usual heel garbage that didn't add much to it. I'd give it a 6 out of 10 overall and would say it was above average but not must see. Newman/Oleg was my favorite match of the night.
