ICW 3/11/2022 - ICW No Holds Barred Pitfighter X10
This is basically in a cage without the ring and with lots of weapons. They have a small mat and that's about it.
Masha Slamovich vs AKIRA
They do a hockey fight to start and the camera guy doesn't get out of the cage until like 2 minutes in, keeping the door open. They slap each other and ram chairs into each other at the same which causes acrash. Masha bites his ear and slams his head into the cage. She gets forearmed really hard then powerslammed into a monitor on the cage wall. She trips him, hits him in the head with a trash can lid and PK's him. She then grabs a gusset plate and both put it in each others heads.
Akira gets an electric saw and puts it in her back then she saws him over the forehead. Masha swings off the cage on him then runs up the cage for a bulldog. Masha then ganso bombs him on a tv monitor. But this is the indies and he's up and backdrops her on a chair. He then sentons a monito on her back for 2. They both hit Kawada kicks then forearm flurry each other. She hits a side slam on him then he hits her with one too.
Masha then hits something like a rubik's cube on him through a door. Akira immediately comes back with an STO and a german through a door...for 2. Akira then indian deathlocks her and puts a knife in her mouth while doing it and she puts barbed wire in his mouth while still in it. They then both tap out? And it's called a draw. They then kiss each other and this got even worse.
Dom got on his back and tried to triangle him, then Neal ankle locked him. They trade shots and Neal hits a nice punch. They trade chops and Dom hits a hard kick to the face. He then slams him into the cage then fist flurries him. Dom hits some kicks to the back and front then gets flurried in the cage corner. He hits more chops then gets thrown into the cage. Dom hooks him with a triangle again and gets picked up and hit into the cage. They trade more chops and Dom Kawada kicks him. Neal comes back with some forearms and drops him with a hard one. Neal hits some shots then Dom gets on his back with a choke. He goes into the cage to knock him off then Neal hits a hard knee to the face. Dom hulks up and they slap battle each other. Dom high kicks him and starts pounding on him against the cage to win it.
There was some good stuff to be had here. I liked the striking sequences and Neal hits a real good spinning forearm.
Danny Demanto vs Erron Wade
We have chairs, a bat with tacks and some poppers, a can lid and a door in there.
Danny is the promoter and yells at him before hand on the mic, asking what he thinks he can do to him. Wade hits some kind of dancing kicks and jumps on him and gets a swinging drop over the back. Danny chairs his back then pounds a gusset plate into Wade's head. He then throws a chair at his head.
Danny gets some lemons and squeezes them into Wade's head. Danny then throws salt at him and hits him with a bat with poppers in it. Wade then comes back with a spin kick for 2. Danny F-U's him into a door then hits him with a razor's edge on the tin can door.
Wade kicks out and tries to slam him on a chair but misses the chair. Wade goes out of the cage and gets a table. They go on the table and Danny sit down powerbombs him through it for the win.
This was mostly a squash with Wade getting a whooping.
Merc is wearing an M. Bison hat and jacket. Kirk tells Merc to put his TWE title up on the line and calls him a bum. Merc agrees.
TWE Title - Brandon Kirk vs MERC
Kir charges at Merc and gets thrown into the cage multiple times. Merc back kicks him hard. Kirk throws a chair at Merc's head then hits him with bats covered in tacks. Kirk then gets a gusset plate put in his head and Merc knocks it off with a kick. Merc hits a punch and chop combo then cannonballs him into the cage and F-5 hims into the cage.
They stand on top of a table and trade shots. Kirk goes up to the top of the cage and climbs out. Merc follows and jumps off the cage onto him. They fight into the crowd and a room then a kid hits Merc with a bat. They get back on the table inside the pit then Merc elbow drops him from the cage through the table to win it.
This wasn't too special though I give them credit for climbing the cage and working on top of a table.
Krule vs Satu Jinn
We have a piece of wood disguised as a door, a door with gusset plates and a giant wood paddle with gusset plates.
Krule's a big dude with a cool mask and Jinn is a fat guy with a horrible pony tail. Jinn hits chest thrusts then sidesteps Krule into a piece of wood. He then hits him with the wood and chairs. Jinn slaps a gusset plate on him then Krule cuts on his head with a giant blade. Jinn gets his head rubbed against the cage and they trade chops.
Jinn throws chairs at him and claps him with trash can lids. Jinn is then thrown through a board. Krule pounds on him the corner then sets up a gusset plate door bridged on chairs. Jinn breaks a bat over Krule's head and hits his back with the gusset plate board. He then uranage's him through the door on the chairs.
Krule punches him and hits some high knees. Jinn gets a chair and Krule punches him through itHe then punch flurries him in the corner and wins it via ref stoppage.
I liked this one. Krule's pretty cool and worked well as a giant and Jinn did alright trying to fight him as the underdog.
Tank vs Jaden Newman
Jaden gets crowd surfed and pushed over the top of the cage in a cool entrance. Tank's hype man does a cool intro here and they go at it. Jaden pump kicks him then Tank sidesteps, forcing him to fly into the cage. Tank starts getting him with a sickle in the head then headbutts a gusset plate into his head.
Tank then throws him into the cage. Jaden whips him then chokes him with a belt. They go into the crowd and both have forks. They take turns hitting each other in the head with them then do it at the same time. Tank then throws a chair at Jaden's head. They both sit on chairs and punch each other.
Tank pushes Jaden's head into the cage then Jaden does the same. Tank then sticks a sickle into Jaden's crotch. They trade backfists. They get on their knees and slap each other then Tank backdrops him into a barbed wire door to win it.
This was a very smartly worked match. Tank played his vet role well and Jaden was a great underdog face here. They bled and the crowd loved every second of this. You can rip deathmatch guys for not knowing how to work, but this was pro wrestling 101 and you just have to love it.
Tank then put him over after and apologized to his family for having to beat him up.
John Wayne Murdoch vs Kasey Kirk
Kasey flurries on him and gets thrown into the cage. JWM then hits her with a cookie tray and sticks a knife in her head. They go outside and she's a bloody mess, then John electric saws her on the back and head.
John hits her in the head with a plastic butt with tacks on it hten stabs her with it. She fires back with slaps and they climb the cage outside near two tables. John then kind of russian leg sweeps her through it. They trade headbutts and Kasey hangs off the cage then headscissors JWM.
Kasey slams a gusset plate in his head and hits him with a cookie tray. He then hits her in the gut with a gusset plate. Two tables are set up in the cage and John sticks a knife in her mouth. Kasey's bf is trying to throw the towel in and she yells at him, then barely gets him up for a slam on a chair.
Both climb the cage then Kasey gets suplexed through tables for 2. Kasey then rolls him up with a small package soon after and wins it.
I think the genera idea of this was good and made sense. But it's JWM and he's booked too strong to be dropping falls to girls. He's also just so much bigger than her and even though they did work it smart for the most part, it's just hard to buy her having any chance of beating him.
American Deathmatch Championship Match: Reed Bentley (c) vs Joel Bateman
I think we have carpet strips hanging from one side, a long bundle of light tubes on another, barbed wire on a corner, a bundle of carpet strips, a table and chairs.
They hit tubes over each other's heads early then trade fast forearms and chops. Reed flurries him with forearms and really drops him with one. Reed stabs him in the head with a tube piece and they go out of the cage. Reed throws Joel into some fans then some chairs. Then he throws chairs on him. Reed throws Joel into fans again then slams him on a fan. Reed then grabs fans and throws them on Joel.
Joe suplexes Reed onto a row of chairs and he knocks a fan over during it. Joel then gets a beer and spits it at Reed. Joel sticks a fork in Reed's head then pulls the cut with his nails. They trade chops and Reed picks up a fan and rams his feet into Joel. Reed then picks up an old lady and and a younger lady and does it again. Reed then does it with a kid and throws Joel hard into a door.
They get back in the cage and Reed hits some tubes over Joel's head. Joel dragon screws Reed then sentons him. Joel neckbreakers Reed over the side of a table then hits him with a tube over the head. Reed atomic drops Joel on a chair with a popper baseball on it then pepsi twist's him for 2.
Reed hits a double underhook piledriver for 2. He then breaks tubes over his back and throws a chair at him. Reed then charges at him and runs into the barbed wire hanging in the corner and gets totally stuck. Joel sets up reed on a table with tubes on his gut. Joel swantons him off the top but the table doesn't break. Reed breaks a bundle of tubes over Joel's head then Joel headbutts him and wins it.
Reed puts over Joel after as the best deathmatch wrestler in Australia then Joel puts him over as one of the best in the world. Joel tells his family he did it and says he is going to take the American title home and make it a world deathmatch title. Akira then comes in and they stare down face to face for tomorrow's match.
The match went a little longer than it needed to but it was fun with the crowd getting involved and the usual deathmatch spots. It didn't have a great story to it or anything but it was fine for what it was.
Overall thoughts: Pretty good stuff as usual from ICW. Newman/Tank told a good story and was a smart match and John Wayne vs Kasey did about as good as you could for an intergender match. Kruel vs Jinn was a fun one too.
