Glory Pro Wrestling 3/31/2022 - Cemetary Gates

Danny Jones vs. Shane Sabre vs. Myron Reed vs. Carlos Romo

Hey it's Danny Jones from NXT UK. They boch a spot early and Reed hits a nice tornado ddt, then Danny exploders him. Danny is on top and Myron gets lifted up and hurricanrana's him down. Romo indian deathlocks Danny then dragon sleepers the other two at the same time. Carols then rolls him and butterfly chokes him. Danny does a nice roll on Romo into a choke. Danny piledrivers Sabre on the apron. Reed and Romo fight on the apron then Reed jumps over the apron and cutters him to the floor. Danny hits a release sleeper suplex on Reed. Romo then jumps off the ropes and cutters him then Romo misses a moonsault. Sabre then runs the ramp and jumps off the apron to spear Romo inside. Reed then picks up the win over Romo.

This really wasn't too good. These things can really only be spotfests and that's kind of what it was. They also botched a few moves here.

Tootie Lynn vs. Janai Kai

Lynn won here with a fujiwara armbar. The sound wasn't great here and you really need good sound to get over the stiff shots. I thought it went longer than needed and I obviously wasn't very interested in it.

Jake Something vs. Max The Impaler

I'm not sure if Max is a boy or a girl or something in-between. I don't support intergender wrestling and I refuse to review it. Jake is way above this. "Max" gassed out and this really slowed down then "Max" got busted open hardway. I don't know what gender "Max" is, but they should figure it out and maybe they could do something with some cardio work. Jake won with a sideslam in a long and slow one.

United Glory Tag Titles - Alpha Omega (Camaro Jackson & Kenny Alfonso) vs. Fly Def (Warren Johnson & Zack Mason) vs. Technical Difficulties (Moses the Deliverer & Rahim De La Suede) vs. The Hustle and the Muscle (Karam & Xavier Walker)

I've never seen any of these people before, and figuring out who is who will be a tough one. Everyone in this is black. Hustle and Muscle are really big dudes. One of the Technical Difficulties members does a moonsault to nobody early and Muscle gorilla presses Kenny to the floor on his partner. One of the Fly Def guys got on his partners shoulders then dove to the outside then Hustle and Muscle double hiptossed Kenny. High Def hits double dropkicks. Kenny botches a double stunner and Camaro double lariats H&M. TD puts Kenny on one of their shoulders then the other TD member jumps off the guy on the shoulders and dives. Fly Def does frogsplashes off the top then Muscle does a one-armed spinebuster on a Fly Def member to win it.

Spotty and kind of messy as you would expect.

No DQ, Submission match - Allie Katch vs. Laynie Luck

Luck's nickname is the unicorn. Luck misses a dropkick early and it gets sold anyway. Luck springboards off the 2nd rope with an armdrag. Luck does a nice sunset flip into an STF that Allie gets out of. Luck charges in the corner and Allie gets up and buttdrops her. Allie then pulls her around the post.

Luck headscissors Allie then facwash kicks her then germans her. Luck then suplexed her into a seated guillotine. Luck cutters her off the 2nd rope and then stf's her. They go outside and Allie piledrivers her on her the floor. Luck crabs her then Katch crabs her back. Allie then boston crabs her through the ropes and wins it.

This was not good at all. It was a submission match but there were few submissions or technical wrestling.

Grindhouse (Mat Fitchett & Davey Vega) vs. No Remorse Corps (Davey Richards & Rocky Romero)

I missed all of this.

Loser Leaves the Neighborhood Match: Dan The Dad vs. Kody Lane

They start outside and Dan hits Lane in the gut with a ladder. Lane uses a trashcan on him and Cody puts a ladder over the top buckle. Dan dropkicks Lane in the knee then gets pushed into the top part of the ladder. Lane does a nice one legged springboard asai moonsault. Dan gets a trash can on his head and  Lane kicks it. Dan gets backdropped on the apron. Lane chairs Dan in the back then they trade punches. Lane gets like sto'd on a chair then is thrown into a ladder in the corner. Dan then backpack stunners him. Lane slams Dan on a ladder and misses his top rope asai moonsault. Dan then figure fours him and wins it.

This went 10:05 and the finish was random. It wasn't too bad otherwise for a hardcore match but obviously the whole storyline around it is is silly.

Warhorse vs Josh Alexander

Josh gets thrown out early and War runs the apron to double stomp his back. Josh does a rolling fireman's carry slam. Josh hits some chops then War does some machine gun chops. War hits some forearms. Josh tries a sunset flip but War gets him by the headgear and slams his head off the mat. War hits a flying forearm then hits a lariat. Warhorse rolls Josh into a sharpshooter.

Josh picks him up on the apron and drops down, effectively slamming him on the apron. Josh then crossbodies his back as he sits on the apron. War then does a tope on hilo and lands hard on the concrete. War misses a top rope dropkick and Josh ankle locks him but War rope breaks.

Josh hands form the 2nd rope and War double stomps him from the top as he hangs. War then does a stiff dropkick/double stomp from the top as Josh is bent over. Josh superplexes him then War spinning superkicks him. Josh hits a high german then double underhook piledrivers him for the win.

The selling wasn't great here with a lot of the stuff at the end not being sold much at all. But, the pacing was good, the built it up to a nice finish and they were stiff with each other.

Mike Outlaw vs. Bryan Keith

They trade chops and forearms early. Keith hits a big boot to the face. Outlaw stomps on him and Lee comes back as they duel chops. Keith hits a nice forearm then Outlaw dropkicks him. Keith ddt'd Outlaw then hit a big release exploder. Keith then death valley drivers Outlaw on his knee.

Lee hits a siff double underhook powerbomb. Outlaw does a twisting brainbuster/neckbreaker that looked like it hurt him as much as the other guy. They trade forearms. Outlaw hits a spinning forearm then takes a slap and an enzugiri. Lee went for the pin and Outlaw rolled on top of him to win. The finish was lame, but it had some decent stuff in it. I liked the forearm exchanges and Keith's exploder was nice.

Overall thoughts: The top two matches were pretty decent. Even Dan the Dad vs Kody Lane wasn't too bad. Not the greatest stuff ever and there was some room for improvement, but it made up for an undercard with issues.
