WWE Evolve 2/4/2026
Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2026/01/wwe-evolve-1282026.html
We are at the Performance Center in Orlando, FL. Robert Stone and Peter Rosenberg are on commentary.
Team WWE PC talk in the locker room. Cam Hendrix says things went the way they wanted last week and he says he fill finish the job tonight. Braxton Cole comes in and they ask where he was. Cole says it got messy in the bathroom. He asks if Sean Legacy is coming soon as he's gotta clean this up. Cam is asked how he feels and he says he woke up feeling dangerous.
Sean Legacy comes in. The crew gives him cleaning materials and laugh since he has to clean the locker room.
Tyra Mae Steele vs Carlee Bright
Tyra has a new shorter hair cut. Tyra waistlock takedowns CB down three times. CB takes her down twice and gets a 1 count on her. CB says she's sick of her gold medals. Tyra fireman's carry takedowns her then does another takedown. Tyra rolls her around on the mat then does a bow and arrow.
Tyra rolls her with an STF. Tyra chinlocks her. CB flying headscissors her and Tyra germans her. Tyra chinlocks her. CB hits elbows to the gut and they bang heads. CB pump kicks and chops her. CB hits lariats then running headhunters her. CB is caught off the top and Tyra air raid crashes her to win.
Thoughts: It wasn't anything too memorable but it was acceptable. Tyra got the win here and has a new air raid crash finisher. CB really hasn't gotten anywhere in her year on this brand and I hope that changes at some point.
Team WWE ID talks in The Vanity Project's hangout. Brad says it's a new year and a new Vanity Project. He says they want to be more inclusive and humble. Drake says they need to band together to take out team WWE PC. Cap Jones doesn't buy it and says they need to wake up. Aaron Rourke says Drake is skilled and says Cam Hendrix can't be champ. Eli Knight says he can't stand Cam. Mike Cunningham says WWE PC can be destructive but they don't have main man energy. They talk it over. Aaron says they are in as it is what is best for Evolve. Drake says they owe him one and Aaron hits on him. Mike says him and Eli are in too but Brad and Smokes say they are too new and they aren't interested. Mike says they should show they they are ready next week.
Nikkita Lyons and Arianna Grace are tired in the back. Grace says she can't sleep since they saw the psychic. Grace says they need to be really nice and kind and do the opposite of what they usually do. Masyn Holiday and Layla Diggs walk in. Lyons says she loves their fur outfits. Grace says they all have gotten off on the wrong high heel. Grace says let's put the past behind them. Masyn says sure and asks them to collab on a new Tiktok video. Masyn and Layla then dance and try to get them to dance with them.
Drake Morreaux vs Sam Halloway
Sam side headlocks him. They shove each other and DM shoulders him over. DM flying headscissors him then corner dropkicks him. DM running back elbows him then side slams him. DM bottom rope springboard splashes him.
Sam hits shots to the gut. Sam does a nice leapfrog and a facekick. DM chops him in the corner and drops him with a forearm. Sam misses a corner splash. Sam double underhook suplexes him into the buckles for 2.
DM back elbows him then facekicks him off the apron. DM's throat is pulled over the top rope. Sam lariats him. Sam 2nd rope springboard elbow drops him for 2. Sam mises a corner move and goes down. DM spinning facekicks him.
They trade shots. DM hits shots and Sam dropkicks him out. Sam suicide dives him outside. Sam misses a move off the top and is hit with spinning lariat. DM spinning lariats him again and wins.
Thoughts: It was a good match here. The two big guys were agile here and did some typical heavyweight wrestling. It got more than enough time to play out and it couldn't have worked out much better than it did.
Drake Morreaux is interviewed by Chuey Martinez at ringside. Chuey says Team WWE PC is interesting him. Drake says they don't represent the whole Performance Center. Drake says he will get himself in title contention, win the WWE Evolve Title and bring the title back to Baton Rouge for the biggest party they have ever seen.
Sean Legacy is mopping up the locker room. Team WWE PC is making it more messy as he does it. Team WWE ID walks in. Cap Jones says they are here to help Sean clean and Aaron says they are in this together. Cam says to make sure it's super clean for his victory party and says get the champagne ready.
It's Gal walks in. He says they look more at home cleaning than at the ring. Aaron says he's had enough of Gal and says he's the biggest @sshole in this whole program. He says how about he takes out this piece of orange trash next week. He says they will help Sean clean up and says to do him a favor and get out. Gal then does his pose and says It's Gal, dummies.
Dante Chen vs Trill London
They lock up. Chen wristlocks him. Trill flips out using the ropes and wristlocks him. Chen waistlock takedowns him for 2. Chen armlocks him then shoulders him over. Chen shoulders him over. Trill does a weird flip over him and seems to hurt himself. Trill armdrags him into an armlock.
Trill springboards and is caught with something like a uranage. Trey slams him and elbow drops him for 2. Chen boots him out of the corner then running backdrops him for 2. Trill hits punches and Chen drops him with a forearm. Trill rolls him up for 2. Trill walks up the buckles and hits whisper in the wind. Trill misses a swanton off the top.
Trill sunset flips for 2. Chen superkicks him. Chen pump kicks him then hits a double chop to win.
Thoughts: It was another okay bout here. It was the longest we have gotten to see Trill go yet. He still needs to clean things up a bit but he looked fine. Chen doesn't win a lot so this was a surprise but I don't know if him beating Trill was the best call. They worked okay together.
Chen helps him up and hugs him after.
Evolve Face-Off
Kendal Grey and Karmen Petrovic talk in the back. KG says when her title is on the line, she doesn't care what her background is. She says you don't walk out the same in the The Grey Area and won't walk out with her title. KP says KG is looking past her and tells her to keep doing it. She says she's been building momentum and has a lot of victories under her belt. She says she can keep underestimating her but the title is hers. KG says she walks into every match expecting to win. She says she will talk in and out as champ.
They say 2/25 is the season finale of Evolve. They say 3/4 is the season premier with Evolve Succession.
Thoughts: There's thankfully no break between shows here. I'm curious if they will have new wrestlers or something for the new season.
Kali Armstrong is interviewed. She says she's disappointed in herself and isn't used to racking up losses. She says she's the difference maker. She says she needs to get the dog back in her. She says maybe she needs to go back home for a minute and remember who she is and where she came from.
WWE Evolve Title - Jackson Drake (c) vs Cam Hendrix
I can't really see the argument for Cam losing here.
Cam back him up in the corner and gets in his face. JD shoves him. Cam side headlocks him then shoulders him over. Cam struts around.
JD boots him off the lock up and side headlocks him. Team WWE PC trips JD then The Vanity Project trips Cam. Cam flying single leg dropkicks JD. The two sides argue outside and the ref ejects Team WWE PC and The Vanity Project.
Cam hits punches and boots on JD. Cam superkicks him in the gut and flying forearms him in the back of the head. Cam chinlocks him. Cam does a grounded cobra clutch. JD enzugiri's him and leg lariats him against the 2nd rope. Cam slaps him. JD boots him out of the corner. JD high kicks him and germans him for 2. Cam hits punches. Cam runs into the ref when JD leapfrogs. JD flying knees him.
Tate Wilder comes out and tries to wake the ref up. Team WWE PC comes down and stomps JD. Team WWE ID comes in and beats up Team WWE PC. Keanu Carver comes in and gets his crew the edge. The Vanity Project return to fight. Sean Legacy tope con hilos outside. Cam takes a top rope double stomp + reverse ddt combo. Cap Jones top rope elbow drops Cam. JD running knees Cam and pins him.
Thoughts: I'm not really sure how the ref missed 13 or so people coming out but he did. At least Cam didn't lose clean here. What we got up to the interference was fine. It looks the WWE PC vs WWE ID war will continue and maybe the season finale will be where it ends. Drake and Vanity Project are definitely faces now and we'll see where that goes.
Cap Jones tells Drake he's coming for the title and says Drake owes him one.
Overall thoughts: It was a good Evolve. They've really found their footing over the last few weeks and have been producing some solid shows. There was nothing bad here. Drake/Sam was the best match of the night. The main was suitable enough as were the other two matches. The season ends on 2/25 (and the next season starts the week after) so it seems like all roads will lead to that for now. I'd give it a 6 out of 10 and I enjoyed the show.
