New Japan Pro Wrestling 8/18/2022 G1 Climax 32 Day 20

We are finally on the last day of the G1 Climax. I apologize in advance, but the line-up for yesterday's show was bad and this isn't much better, so I only saw a few things:

Hiroshi Tanahashi and David Finlay vs Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson

DF hits gut kicks on Karl in the corner and they trade forearms. Karl takes a double back elbow from both opponents then a double elbow drop. Karl grabs Tana by the nose. Tana hits punches on Gallows, but has to fight off Anderson and ends up taking Doc's boot. Doc elbow drops him then hits a stiff punch on him.

Karl slams Tana then sentons him for 2. Karl side headlocks Tana then Tana dragon screws him. DF hits forearms on Doc then running euros in the corner. DF 2nd rope euros Doc for 2. Doc high kicks DF then DF flying euros him. Tana hits flying forearms on Doc then slams him. Tana 2nd rope flipping sentons him for 2. Karl spinebusters Tana then Tana takes a reverse 3D for 2. Yano comes out and sprays Doc with liquid and Doc runs off to chase him. Karl gets distracted and DF cutters Karl. Tana hits a slingblade on Karl then high fly flows him for the win.

The ending was silly and stupid and brought whatever goodwill this one had gained.

KUSHIDA and Tama Tonga vs Taiji Ishimori and Jay White

Jay flurry stomps Tama early then Taiji hits a bunch of shots on Tama. Kushida and Tama both leapfrog Taiji then double chops him. Taiji flatliners Kushida into the buckles then Jay chokes Kushida with a cable outside. Jay back elbows Kushida and Kushida fights Taiji with chops and kicks. Taiji eye rakes him then Kushida handspring back elbows him. Tama lariats him.

Jay gets in and Tama backdrops him. Jay backdrops him. Taiji gets in and Tama hits a tonga twist on him then Kushida top rope chops Taiji. Kushida hits some kicks and crossbodies him then baseball slides Jay outside. Taiji does a handspring and it is blocked. All 4 guys get in, Tama forearms Jay out and gets sent into the ring. Taiji does his lay back tombstone onto the knees move then Kushida rolls up Taiji to win it.

It was fast paced and nothing special, but okay enough for what it was.

Kushida gets beaten up by Jay and Taiji after. Tama helps out and Kushida puts the border city stretch on Taiji as the bell rings.

G1 Climax 32 Final - Kazuchika Okada vs Will Osperay

Okada gets a side headock early and headlock takeovers him. Okada catches Will's Os cutter and Will backs off. Will hurricanrana's Okada then is ddt'd on the floor. Okada then ddt's him again out there. Back inside and Okada goes for a suplex but Will suplexes him instead. Will hits forearms then handspring back enzugiri's him. Will springboard forearms him and does Okada's move where the the opponent is sat on the top rope and dropkicked. Will then does a nice corkscrew moonsault to the outside.

Os then jumps off the rail outside and hits an os cutter. Okada hits a big back body drop. Okada flapjacks him then does chinbreakers into a money clip. Okada top rope elbow drops him then hits a stiff forearm. Okada then throws him into the buckles hard. Will hits a bunch of strikes including a Kawada kicks and a lariat. They fight on the apron and Will is back body dropped on the apron. Will hook kicks Okada then Os cutters him off the post on the apron. Will then hits a near springboard coast to coast dropkick and a springboard forearm to the back of the head. Will then os cutters him for 2 then hook kicks him.

Okada flips out of a stormbreaker and lariats him then grabs his arm and hits another lariat. Okada dropkicks him and misses a 2nd one. Will goes for the os cutter and Okada dropkicks him in the air. Okada spinning tombstones him then takes a spinning forearm and a hook kick. Will forearms him in the back of the head.

Okada dropkicks him. Os does another tombstone on him for 2. Will hits a hidden blade forearm to the back of the head for 2. Will top rope frogsplashes him for 2. Will hits a styles clash for 2. Will pumping knees him at the ropes and Okada sitout drivers him. Okada hits a rainmaker for 2. Okada germans him then Will standing spanish fly's him. They trade forearms on their knees then on their feet. Okada neckbeakers him over his knee then enzugiri's him and Will pops him up with a forearm. Okada hits a spinning emerald flowsion and then a rainmaker to win it.

This went on way too long and they kicked out of way too much.
