Ice Ribbon 8/14/2022 New Ice Ribbon 1221

I've seriously lost a lot of interest in Ice Ribbon.

Saran vs rhythm

Totoro Satsuki is the ref.

rhythm is from JTO. Yes the "r" in her name is lowercase. rhythm side headlocks her then headlock takedowns her. Saran ropebreaks and they trade chest forearms. Saran steps on her hands then tramples her back. Totoro then does it too in a dumb moment. Saran kicks her around. Saran puts her in the camel clutch and pulls at her mask.

rhythm puts her in another side headlock then snapmares her. rhythym puts her in a double arm triangle and Saran ropebreaks. Saran climbs her back and puts her in a sleeper then rhythm ropebreaks. Saran rolls her up off the ropebreak for 2. They blow some forearm spot and Saran hits a forearm flurry. rhythm runs her head into the buckles and doesn't even hit then bulldogs her for 2. rhythm then sto's her for the win.

This was terrible. Saran's excused because she's a kid, but rhythm may be the worst wrestler in Japan.

 

rhythm kicks Saran out of the ring after.

 

Ibuki Hoshi vs. YuuRI

Ibuki wristlocks her and Yuuri does it back. Yuuri rolls out of a wristlock and they trade side headlocks. They shoulder battle and Ibuki shoulders her over. Ibuki hair throws her and pushes her foot against her face. Ibuki then camel clutches her and sits on her back and pulls her legs. Yuuri ropebreaks and flying clotheslines her. Yuuri then PK's her for 2.

Ibuki chops Yuuri and she goes down. Ibuki russian leg sweeps her into a head and armlock and Yuuri ropebreaks. Yuuri high kicks a running Ibuki then flipping sentons her. Yuri then 180 splashes her for 2. Ibuki knees her then shotgun dropkicks her form the side. Yuuri then runs at her and twists around into a grounded sleeper. Yuuri 619's Ibuki then top rope dropkicks her. Ibuki superkicks her, high kicks her then buzzsaw kicks her for 2. Ibuki then running double chops her for the win.

This wasn't anything special but it was acceptable enough. Both girls tried and didn't blow anything.

 

Sumika Yanagawa vs. Totoro Satsuki

I think Saran is the ref here.

Sumika hits single leg dropkicks to start and Totoro no sells them. Sumika headbutts her and hits another single leg dropkick. Sumika ties her in the ropes and jumping knees her. Totoro slams her then stands on her back. Totoro slams her again then bow and arrows her, but Sumika ropebreaks.

Sumika forearms her and they trade forearms. Sumika rolls over her back into an indian deathlock. Totoro lariats her in the corner then Sumika twists and bangs her head off the mat. Totoro slams her and splashes her then finlay rolls her for 2. Totoro slams her again for 2 as the time starts to run out. Totoro hits a nice clothesline and the time limit expires.

It was okay for a Sumika match but it wasn't anything too special. Totoro had a nice running power lariat here and Sumika didn't do a lot of the offense she can't execute well which made it better.

Sumika seemingly challenges her to one more match after. 

 

Asahi & Yura Suzuki vs. Kaho Matsushita & Misa Kagura

Ibuki Hoshi is the ref.

Everyone, including Kaho, attack Misa from the start. Asahi chinlocks Misa and pulls at her nostrils and chin. Yura does the same to Misa then slams her. Yura and Misa shoulder battle and Misa shouldered her over. Misa shoulders her over again then sits on her back and pulls her arms then Yura ropebreaks.

Yura slams Misa then Asahi trips Misa into a Yura dropkick. Misa shotgun dropkicks Asahi and tags out. Kaho dropkicks Asahi against the ropes for 2 then chest kicks her as she runs for 2. Asahi hits chest forearms on Kaho then Kaho step up enzugiri's her. Asahi armdrags her and rolls her up for 2. Asahi comes back with a flying clothesline for 2.

Yura slams Kaho then corner lariats her. Yura back kicks her then Kaho snapmares and back kicks her. Kaho then PK's her for 2. Kaho and Yura fujiwara each other at the same time then Kaho is dropkicked and 619'd against the ropes. Yura suplexes Kaho then step up enzugiri's her. Yura rolls her into armbar and Misa breaks it up. Yura takes a double shoulder then Kaho top rope crossbodies her. Misa lariats Asahi then Kaho suplexes Yura. We get a battery warning sign in a hilarious moment as they have technical issues and Kaho hits a side suplex on Yura and wins it.

This went on too long and I hated Misa getting abused by her own partner. Kaho looked okay here though otherwise.

Overall thoughts: Not a good night at the Ice Ribbon Dojo. I didn't care for this much at all and nothing stood out.
