IWA Puerto Rico Impacto Total 7/30/2022

There was a show on 7/30/2022 and that this episode spent a lot of time building up to.

The Invader cuts a promo with his hand in a cast. We see some clips of his hisotry with Savio, Mr. Big and Manny Ferno. We then get a Bronco promo at the end that we have seen already.

The Faces of Destiny (Nick Mercer, HellBlaze and Jay Blake) vs La Artilera Ilegal (Chicano, Lightning and Jova)

Lightning is part of one of Puerto Rico's most famous tag teams of modern times - Thunder and Lightning. Chicano is a 20+ year vet.

I haven't see La Artilera before and I'm n100% sure who is who. Hellblaze works over one of La Artilera early  then takes a Thesz press. Mercer puts Chicano in a side headlock then Chicano armdrags him. Chicano hiptosses him then Lightning gets in and hiptosses Jay Blake. He pounds on him in the corner then Chicano hits hard shots on Jay. Chicano armdrags Jay then Lightning armdrags Jay.

Chicano armdrags Jay again and FoD is getting mad at LAI's blind tags with Nick taking free shots on Lightning. Lightning avoids an up and over in the corner and armdrags Jay. Jay dropkicks Jova and then Nick hits chops on Jova. Nick lariats Jova in the corner and crossbodies him for 2. Blaze suplexes Jova for 2 and Jay flying back elbows Jova. Jova sunset flips Nick then is lariated.

Blaze lariats Joba then Chicano gets a stick behind the ref's back and hits Blaze with it. Lightning gets in and does a bad hot tag. He back body drops Nick then does a nice powerslam on Jay. All mayhem breaks lose as everyone brawls in the ring. Some of the guys fight outside then Chicano superkicks Blaze. Jova hits corner punches on Blaze then Blaze spinebusters him. Nick hits a top rope frogsplash on Jova for 2. Lightning hits Blaze with a kendo stick in front of the ref who doesn't care and everyone brawls outside to a double countout.

There's no excuse for Lightning not getting dq'd. He nailed Blaze right in front of the ref. The match got better as it built on but they did blow the hot tag spot and the build up to the hot tag wasn't good either with both teams having even control.

We see clips of the feud between The Drunken Express and La Diabla's crew, The Doom Patrol.

We see clips of the build to Krule and Romeo's match tonight. Krule replaced EJ Nduka with Romeo Quevedo. Romeo did a video. He said we are in a situation where every head must bow and every person must confess. He said he is contacted by Manny Ferno and Fernando Tonos. He said he is a king building an empire that will forever live. He rips Chicano and Lightning and says he is coming through the door blasting.

We see clips of Manu officially joining Fernando Tonos.

Manny Ferno and Mr. Big vs John Hawking and Savio Vega

Fernando Tonos is with Big and Ferno. Savio did not come out for some reason. Ferno and John lock up. John hits corner punches then armdrags him out of the ring. Ferno comes in, is hit with another punch and goes out again. Big gets in, whips John into the ropes and goes outside as he charges at him. John goes on the apron and ends up on Big's shoulders and he is slammed on the floor.

They get back in and John hits punches on Big then is dropped with a hard forearm. John is double back elbowed then Big pounds on him and puts him in a chinlock. Big hits a nice lariat on John and John is double dealyed suplexed. Tonos gets in the ring as the ref argues with the heels and he pounds on John. The ref turns around and sees it then throws him out of ringside.

John hulks up as Tonos is thrown out. He hits punches on both opponents and lariats Ferno over the top. He then spinebusters Big for 2. Big then sideslams him for 2. Big throwns John over the top and Ferno cookie sheet shots John outside. Big and John lariat each other at the same time and go down. John hits punches on Ferno then flying shoulders him.

John hits lariats on him then slams him. Ferno grabs knucks as Big holds John. The ref stops Ferno from hitting him. Ferno and the ref fight and Ferno decks him. TNT (aka Savio Vega) then comes out. He hits Big and Ferno with bat shots which runs them off to the back.

This was a flawed match. The heels looked like idiots for not being able to take down John 3v1 at times and the ref should have DQ'd them for Tonos interfering. John got too much in for a handicap match and nobody knows what Savio was doing instead of showing up earlier.

TNT/Vega gets on the mic. He says Big and Ferno messed with his father. He talks about them injuring Invader's arm and says something about them having to climb over the river and ring. Savio tells Bronco that this isn't his fight, but he is welcome to the war if he wants to fight. Savio says they are set for war.

We run down the Summer Attitude show for tonight 7/30/22. It has TNT/Invader vs Manny Ferno and Mr. Big with an appearance by Bronco, John Hawking vs Kwang (a different guy than Vega), La Artilera Ilegal (Chicano and Lightning) vs Krule and Romeo Quevedo, Aiden Grimm vs Manu, The Faces of Destiny in a tag match, Barbie Boy vs The Wizard, Doom Patrol vs Drunken Express and Niche vs Azazel.

We see Manny Ferno and Fernando Tonos talking again. I think he says he wants to be the true champion and then talks about Kwang. We then see the John Hawking promo again about Kwang.

They run down the card again.

We get promos from the Faces of Destiny's opponents then a promo from the Faces of Destiny. jay says fate will take care of their opponents. Nick says they are walking down a path where they don't know where it goes. He calls his opponents two clowns.

Niche does a promo on Azazel. He talks about how he cheated him and Az talks about how he won fair.

Wizard talks about san exotico wrestler who replaced Barbie Boy. He says he is a carnival clown and promises to make a fool of him.

Mr. Big and Manny Ferno do a pomo. He says he knows Invader is going to load his bandaged arm up with a weapon. He says they won't be finished off tonight. Manny talks about a balloon/ball of death cage match he had with Savio, which was in one of those round circus cages. He promises this will be worse than that and says he will give Vega/Invader the final blow. He said Bronco made promises to them and is already in town and ready.

We run down the card again.

We then got Bronco and TNT/Invader promos that we got last episode.

Overall thoughts: Only two matches here with tons of repeat promos. The 6 man had some good parts to it but was very flawed and the main had a lot of issues as well. I don't recommend it.
