National Organization Wrestling 7/16/2022 Sabados de Furia 8

This is from Yauco, Puerto Rico. This promotion only has a facebook page with no roster photos and has no name graphics. I believe this is a new promotion.

We see clips of La Revolucion beating up The Star Brothers.

Ashur Valentine does a promo though it's in Spanish. He talks about the tag team titles and tells us time is running out.

La Revolucion with Max Money vs Abdul Farid and Talos with Ashur Valentine

I believe the ref is named Nazario. La Revolucion wears the same gear, so who knows which one is which. Revolucion 1 chops Abdul in the corner. They say Abdul is terrorist from Turkey. Revolucion 2 corner spears Abdul then Abdul fights him off with a boot and a lariat. Abdul punches him and corner spears him. Talos splashes #2 in the corner and running lariats him. Talos hits bad hammerfists then a not so pretty sliding lariat for 2. Abdul chinlocks #2 then #2 comes back with a nice facekick and tags out.

Abdul takes a double suplex for 2. Abdul slams #2 then #2 powerslams Abdul off his 2nd rope crossbody attempt. #1 and Talos gets in and #1 flying shoulders him. #1 dropkicks him in the knee then they sandwich facekick Talos. Talos gets thrown into a Revucion and knocks him other then runs into the ref. He blocks Abdul's flag shot then hits Abdul with it. The ref sees Revulcion do it and disqualifies him.

Hey, this may be Puerto Rico, they may have no name graphics and a low budget, but this ref is better than most america nand Japanese refs for actually disqualifing someone when they broke the rules. I'm not even mad. No one here was real great but it was a short match and it was just average.

La Revulcion points their fingers at Luis La Voz Cruz at the commentators table after.

We get a commercial for 16 wheel hauling trucks which I found interesting. We then get an ad for a junky looking used car lot.

We see clips of who I believe is El Mariachi going after Luis La Voz Cruz then getting beaten down for it.

We see video of Luis La Voz Cruz cutting a promo on Aiden Grimm then we see clips of Grimm vs someone. Grimm either won or retained the title here.

We then see clips of Julio Jimienez and Zion RT1 vs Beast and possibly Jay Justice.

The Star Brothers do a promo on Funcion Positiva (Julio Jimenez and someone else). They mention WWC and say they want to become tag champions in N.O.W.

Luis gets on the mic again before the next match starts and says it will be a triple threat for the tag titles.

NOW Tag Titles - The Star Brothers (Michael and Ivan) vs Funcion Positiva (Julio Jimenez and Zion RT1) vs Abdul Farid and Talos
 

We get some stalling to start then Zion chops Abdul and corner clotheslines him. Julio and Zion throw Abdul back into the buckles then Julio side slams Abdul for 2. There's some powder on the ring and it flew everywhere when Abdul went down. Zion then slams Abdul's and Talos' heads together outside and takes a shot on Ashur. One of the Star Bros backdrops Abdul. Abdul then is slammed for 2 by Ivan the Star Brother. Ivan tags in Julio and Abdul eye rakes Julio. Abdul takes shots at his opponents on the apron. Juilio then sits in the stands and Talos chops him there.

Abdul hits a nice punch on Julio then rides the back of his neck on the ropes. Talos splashes Julio. One of the Stars is tagged in and he gets lariated by Talos. Talos foot chokes one of the Stars then corner spears him. Abdul snapmares a Star then chinlocks him. The Star Brother comes back with punches then Abdul hits a nice dropkick on him. Abdul misses a clothesline and a Star does a terrible spear that is botched. The Star Brother then neckbreakers Abdul. The other Star Brother (I think Michael) gets in and beats up on Talos. He flying kicks Talos then takes a backdrop into a neckbreaker from Funcion Positiva.

One of the Star Brothers superkicks Julio then Julio and Zion fight Talos outside. One of the Star's then ducks an Abdul punch and topes 3 people outside. Abdul grabs his flag and nails a Star Brother with it then throws the flag out. Abdul grabs the ref who is counting super slow and Abdul picks up the win and the tag titles!

It wasn't a classic but the heels were heels and the faces acted like faces. It wasn't clean or pretty but it wasn't that bad.

The Star Brothers do a promo on Luis. They are not happy about their match becoming a three way. They said something to the effect of they won as champions but will lose as champions too. The other brother says tag titles were unfairly taken from them.

Luis then talks again. He hypes up an event and rips El Mariachi for trying him. He says Mariachi could have won the battle but not the war. He was not happy about Mariachi slapping him. He says he is the vice president of NOW and the future president of it. He runs down some of the next card at Revancha de Verano. We get a hype package for Revancha de Verano and that's it for this show.

Overall thoughts: Not the greatest wrestling, but the faces were faces, the heels were heels, the rules mattered and they kept it simple. Some technological improvements would be welcome but I didn't mind the show. Luis was on this show a little too much, but I have a feeling he either owns the company knows someone who does.
